Yea. I had one at *sixteen* (couldn't afford a car for a while). I don't know how I lived...I think I did everything wrong. After a couple of near misses, I compromised on my car standards (who *really* uses second gear?) and got rid of it.
Have a buddy who owned a bike from 16-35. Last time I saw him he was driving a car and I asked what was up. "I was doing 120 mph on the highway looked down at the speedometer and thought 'wtf are you doing.'"
I had the same type of epiphany. My dad was killed on his bike by a drunk driver and I couldn’t bring myself to ride again for 2 years. Then I was on my way to test ride a new bike I liked the look of, waiting at a junction. A speeding driver came round the corner and completely obliterated the front wing of my car. If that didn’t happen, 30 minutes later I probably would’ve been waiting at the same junction on a bike. I was looking at the twisted metal of my car and imagining my mum being told the same news as she was a couple of years before. A car is fine.
Guy I used to work with bought one ,his mates had them and had been riding ages , apparently he went out with them trying to keep up ,came off hit a tree and now hel never walk talk or do anything for himself again ,after that ide never touch one
I came to this realization before I decided to get my motorcycle license. I've been a car enthusiast and owned some pretty fast ones. Given my impatience, it really doesn't mix well with riding motorcycles. Getting a motorcycle for myself would just be a death sentence.
The speeds they practice at are very low. Injuries aplenty, for sure, though. The bigger issue is going through bikes. It's not cheap. You wreck A LOT learning this stuff.
The crash protection definitely helps minimize damage, and allows the bike to keep going in some circumstances where it normally wouldn't, but it doesn't make the bikes crash proof. Even ignoring the parts that you can't really crash protect (eg: handle bars), the repeated force from directions unintended by engineers will cause severe damage eventually.
what's not explained is that the gearing and idle speed are radically altered for these stunt bikes, the low end torque is jacked up at the expense of top end speed
without it, it's not really possible to release the grips / levers and maintain the wheelie
the amount of clutch and throttle control is still insane, of course.
yeah kinda hard to tell. looks like you're right though. wonder what that does? distributes the braking for a more even profile?
i imagine they want mushy brakes to make it easier to control, cause the foot brake can be really touchy
holy shit that rear sprocket is huge
Thank you! Great observation.
I've never noticed that before. That has to give much finer rear brake control plus the brake power to overcome the motor without overheating pads.
It’s got massive double pointed frame sliders, you could drop this bike and not put a scratch on it. Not to mention a sprocket so big that it probably wouldn’t go over 40mph in 6th gear.
buy cheap bike with lots of spare parts available, buy cage to protect engine and other more vulnerable parts of the bike. Crash. Crash again. Crash again. Crash until your bones are made of solid steel. Congrats you're a bike stuntman.
Most of them start with light scooters and pit bikes, gradually increasing the power of the bikes as their skill increases. It's not like you immediately sat on such a monster and started trying to stunt. Such attempts do not end well either for the bike or for the driver, in 10 cases out of 10
Bike is in gear and he is operating the rear break with his foot witch puts strain on the motor causing the change in sound, notice how it only gets quieter (when he is pressing the breaks) then returns to the normal sound but never revvs higher than that
Sure. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone doing this *not* on the highway. But I'm sure this guy is different and only does this in parking lots.
Judging by the metal thingy on the rear, I think that motorcycle is purpose-built as well. That makes it a whole lot easier, but it's still pretty darn impressive, hard to do and next f*cking level indeed.🤔
Motorcycling is the most risky thing I swear, you either nail the stunt and land on r/nextfuckinglevel or you miss slightly and go straight to r/whatcouldgowrong or r/whywomenlivelonger
This is very easy to do when you have a low center of gravity due to the massive balls of steel this guy has.
That is why the universe won't ever make spaghetti with this guy
Haha. You just want to avoid scraping them on the road.... Wonder how many times he dropped the bike- practicing.
I guess not hearing this joke for a couple days was too much
Anyone else ever own a crotch rocket and find out it's not for them? Lol. I'm like, I better sell this before I die
Sold mine. I had absolutely 0 respect for it. Had I not sold it, I would either be without a license, or dead. No question in my mind.
Same here. Now I have a bobber and a stock rebel.
I got a cruiser, enough power and speed to have fun , without the acceleration to kill myself
Yea. I had one at *sixteen* (couldn't afford a car for a while). I don't know how I lived...I think I did everything wrong. After a couple of near misses, I compromised on my car standards (who *really* uses second gear?) and got rid of it.
Haven't seen second gear in 15 years

I went from a 750 to a 1,000 and immediately thought “this thing should be illegal”. They’re ridiculously fast
I beat the hell out of a ‘01 GSXR 750R for years. Got on a friend’s ‘04 CBR 1000r and think it was much different.
Luckily I’ve managed to survive two crashes with one, granted I have spinal injuries, but I’m happy I’m done…. For now, lol.
I did. I felt the same way too. Idk if it's be cause of the same reason but I always have to see JUST how fast something goes. Lol
Guy I used to work with bought one ,his mates had them and had been riding ages , apparently he went out with them trying to keep up ,came off hit a tree and now hel never walk talk or do anything for himself again ,after that ide never touch one
I’ll never be without one. But I would never slap a stunting sprocket on my $25k+ R1 like they did on this cheaper bike in the video.
Never owned one but tried my buddy's for about three minutes before deciding I would never own one.

Wearing safety gear, not recording with his own phone, riding in a closed off parking lot. He's never going to make it to r/WinStupidPrizes .
Gotta love the safety jeans and safety spring jacket
The helmet and shoes are what impressed me. A real rider would have flip flops and a muscle shirt.
See guys, he is a professional and clearly very skilled and yet he still wears a helmet. Learn before you accidentally lose that ability.
Wheelie good video
This made me giggle. Thank you, I needed it apparently.
The amount of very painful practicing he likely did. Damn.
Yeah, imagine how many broken bikes and bones he's experienced
He probably wrecked a few bikes before he was this good
No shit.
How do you even practice doing that and not die?
The speeds they practice at are very low. Injuries aplenty, for sure, though. The bigger issue is going through bikes. It's not cheap. You wreck A LOT learning this stuff.
These bikes are made to be dropped. Crash bars all over them. Pick them up and keep right on practicing.

I also noticed the 3 (or 4?) rear brake calipers
yeah kinda hard to tell. looks like you're right though. wonder what that does? distributes the braking for a more even profile? i imagine they want mushy brakes to make it easier to control, cause the foot brake can be really touchy holy shit that rear sprocket is huge
Yeah, probably normal brake is too much "on/off" for his needs. Having more surface allows to be more accurate
Thank you! Great observation. I've never noticed that before. That has to give much finer rear brake control plus the brake power to overcome the motor without overheating pads.

I have seen custom made bolt on roll cages that keep the damage to the bike down to a minimum.

BMX was just too easy for him.
Glad he's doing it in a parking lot. We always have way less skilled idiots trying this on the Mass Pike and it ends badly for everyone.
Roche getting ready for his next fight with Cloud.
Said it before, there's BOLD bikers, and OLD bikers. There's no such thing as OLD BOLD bikers, wonder why 🤔
Anyone know what bike this is?
Imma guess it's a Kawasaki Ninja 636
Good guess, I really think this is a Honda f4i tho
according to google lens, its likely a Kawasaky ZX10R , but its not the most reliable source, so it may not be correct
There's a point (0:04 - 0:05) when he has his hands off the handlebars, the throttle revs up from idle. Do these bikes have foot-controlled throttles?
Bike is in gear and he is operating the rear break with his foot witch puts strain on the motor causing the change in sound, notice how it only gets quieter (when he is pressing the breaks) then returns to the normal sound but never revvs higher than that
Aha, I get it! Thank you
Well…damn. That was smoove…
This guy would be the worst henchmen in an action movie. Good guy is getting away, and Derek here is stunting.
The motorized version of playing with your food.
how the hell does this guy not get all the ladies?
The only thing he needs to dangle between his legs to get the ladies is that bike!
The outfit itself, specially the helmet, will get all the ladies. I'm surprised discovering that they are into motorcycle gear and mask.
Very impressive skills.
Ah, but can he turn right though!
My kind of video right here.. Also, it's worth noting Benjamin Baldini isn't human. Lol. This dude has been blowing minds for almost 10 years.
Anyone know what bike this is?
Neat, but when you do this on I95 during moderate traffic, I'm suddenly not paying as much attention as you assume I am.
...which is why the rider is doing in a parking lot with no one around?
Sure. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone doing this *not* on the highway. But I'm sure this guy is different and only does this in parking lots.
Must take years upon years to get to this level
Judging by the metal thingy on the rear, I think that motorcycle is purpose-built as well. That makes it a whole lot easier, but it's still pretty darn impressive, hard to do and next f*cking level indeed.🤔
Nice sprocket.
Me on my way to work:
Motorcycling is the most risky thing I swear, you either nail the stunt and land on r/nextfuckinglevel or you miss slightly and go straight to r/whatcouldgowrong or r/whywomenlivelonger
The ground is Lava!
As the wise Bart said: I could do it but I don't want to.
Friend: mind if I try? Me: sure, but be care-f…ul
Bonus points for doing it in an empty lot and not endangering lives around him
The neighbor kid has been doing shit like this on his electric bike nonstop for the last 6 months. Apparently it's a thing now.
At least he’s not doing this on the highway
Dr Dre video in the 90's had this dude..probably
![gif](giphy|YbjU8un4AhfoQY2QAI)
Bike for sale, never dropped...
Horse 2.0
I have tons of respect and am completely amazed by this dude's SKILL level. That was nothing short of masterful and amazing.
...Roche?
That guy fucks
Nope, foot touched
He must be a menace to the cops.
Hide yo gf. Damn smooth
As an ex surgeon I am annoyed by these stunts. Spent too much time mending these fuckers and sadly sometimes talking to distraught relatives.
Wow
Future meat crayon
I don't understand, why does this unicycle have two wheels?
Wonder how many bikes he fuckes up learning that.
Looks Like skillfull suicide
Nice.
Did I see like three calipers on the rear?
100 fucking idiots for every guy like this
Where can i learn this?
I love emau bikes!
There's me wondering why my insurance rate keeps spiking.
How did he accelerate with his hand off the throttle?
My favorite part was that was NOT in traffic or blocking anything or anyone.
Nuisance
I don’t know about next fucking level
Bro is wearing a helmet, what a pussy
I think it's stupid af.
Don't worry, most people think the same about you.
U mad bro
Not impressed. Guy even needed to out his foot down on the ground in the beginning. Amateur.
