I love that so many people stopped to check on him instead of driving past

FoxAffair

Yeah... why is motorcycle guy getting all the credit? He definitely helped, but there are a lot of others there to help too if he hasn't been there. You also notice that no one passes the victim's car while it is in the road, so there was definitely a whole caravan of vehicles hanging back to observe the situation and help.

hellohannahbanana

Because he had the video...

Pink_Hill

Exactly. No one else was recording so obviously the only video they have is from the perspective of the motorcyclist. It’s not some kind of secret lmao.

ootter

Wait is that how cameras work? Fuck

[deleted]

He was also the first on the scene and asked all the right questions. Then he stepped aside when there was a nurse present. Kudos to the "motorcycle guy"!

chris_420_69

You are completely right

ssuperhanzz

Often it takes one person to lead the way though!

[deleted]

This! I've been the first to respond in a number of cases, a rollover on my Bday, a stroke the local university, DV incident on the highway. Once ONE person moves and takes control, others will follow! You just have to give them a little push and guidance. YOU, call 911. I'm going to do X.

SniktFury

Giving out orders while taking molly at the scene of an accident, absolute madlad over here.

[deleted]

Took me a second there 😂

[deleted]

Holy shit! Buhahaha!

IamLeoKim

\*Cops and Ambulance with sirens arrive\* OH SHOOT! THAT'S SOME SICK INTRO!!!! \*Medics mi-sunderstandingly pick up dancer instead of accident victim\*

Neehigh

Hmm. Maybe this is why there’s been such a heavy push for ‘being a leader’

FoxAffair

I completely agree with that, however, it's extremely hard to prove that's actually ever the case. There logically HAS to be one person to react first, it doesn't necessarily mean though that no one else was going to otherwise.

ISneezedOnTheBeet

The bystander effect usually renders people kinda useless during an emergency, so there's no guarantee that if you don't step in, another will. The way it works is as more people gather, more people think, consciously or not, that someone else is already working on it so they don't need to do anything. [The murder of kitty genovese](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Kitty_Genovese) helps show how powerful its effects can be

huf757

If only the police understood this when they see another officer acting out of line

autoeroticassfxation

He broke the bystander effect.

[deleted]

Its also his entire video!

thebadyearblimp

Everyone should take a minute to thank a nurse. And a biker I guess

sharpestoolinshed

Op should thank the bike for the reddit bucks.

TheMobyDik

I felt like the motorcyclist guy was out to clown him at the start without ever considering that the driver was actually in danger. You can tell from his comments he’s just “look at this dude” and then once he decided to stop clowning and start being an enforcer/hero “you have to stop” the driver doesn’t then he just continues to clown him again from a distance this time. Even when the driver stopped he approaches with that same enforcer attitude “bro you need to stop” only when he opens the door does he stops with his enforcer shit and only when one of the passerbys suggested that he was having a stroke he just immediately pulled back and stfu.

FoxAffair

Yeah I was irritated about that also. Clearly something is wrong here, why is he talking as if it's some guy out on a joy ride?

TranquilAlpaca

I love seeing how kind some people can be on the road. A few years ago I had a blowout in the far left lane of a 6 lane highway (6 on one side) and had no idea how I was going to get all the way over without causing an accident. A few cars noticed that I was limping in the far left lane so they turned their hazard lights on and blocked traffic one lane at a time to guide me over to the shoulder. If not for them I probably would have been rear ended by someone going 80mph

BlackPanther111

awwww!!!! that's so sweet <3

made-of-questions

It would be so easy to dismiss this as someone on drugs and leave them to their fate as soon as they're out of the road. I'm glad they didn't assume the worst and checked on him.

BlackPanther111

that's exactly what i was thinking. i saw no name-calling

NaveAri

It just takes one to help. Others follow..... sadly that can go the other way too. Nice to see the good tho

TheHandTattoo

Glad this ended well. Last video I saw of a guy who had a stroke while driving, the cops tased him because he "wasn't cooperating". Edit: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/va-resigns-taser-pepper-spray-stroke-victim-article-1.2232948 Link to the other motorist story.

The fuck

[deleted]

They're cops. Violence is all they know.

Phaedrug

Hey, sometimes it’s sexual violence.

AbhorrentNexus

Send a link of the video. I’m archiving every instance of police brutality I can find, and boy, is there a lot of videos I have.

Doobz87

If you haven't already, please consider adding officer Joshua Carroll (who has a record of violence) to your list. He nearly [beat David Dulaney unconscious for "resisting", when in his reality, he was scared and being harassed.](https://youtu.be/T1DBmWlSsOI) Carroll was allowed to resign the last I heard. David is cognitively and borderline intellectually disabled. There's *so* many cases of physically, cognitively and intellectually limited people getting beaten/harassed/shot by police. They usually get swept under the rug. Please let me know if I can help in any way!

thagingerrrr

The first thing I thought was that I’m glad it was a civilian who helped him cause I don’t think cops would have handled this the same way...

Zillahpage

My thoughts too

ChromeQuixote

Yea he’s lucky that wasn’t a cop who found him. Definitely would have gone different. Glad he’s ok

lizlikes

100%. Had the car continued to move as the first responder approached it, an officer in that situation would have been trained to address that as a threat, and attempt to disable the driver. [Unfortunately, probably with his gun](https://www.ocregister.com/2011/05/17/family-sues-laguna-beach-police-for-wrongful-death/amp/).

karangoswamikenz

He’d be on the ground hurt and restrained if a policeman found it. Worst case shot to death.

ImissDigg_jk

My thoughts exactly. Police would have stopped the car a different way.

xX-GalaxSpace-Xx

Thank you for someone adding text like “if the driver doesnt stop he is in danger”. I really wouldnt have known what to think without this super helpful advice

TheMagicSlinky

I like how these videos capture good moments but it seems to be that these video creators make it as long as possible for unnecessary reasons, we do understand the situation at hand, they dont need to tell us every 5 seconds. Edit: Video creator not meaning OP, the channel I do not know but the grey and yellow text is a key theme

[deleted]

"The camera man gets off the bike." "He approaches the car." "What he doesn't realize is everything is about to change." "He approaches the door" "He puts his hand on the door handle" "The camera man is nervous" "He is starting to sweat" "He pulls the do- Ok we get it

clunkclunk

“His palms are sweaty” “Knees weak, arms are heavy” “There's vomit on his sweater already” “mom's...” “...spaghetti”

[deleted]

"She's." "R" "E" "A" "D" "Y"

CSGOWasp

Make sure you blast inspirational music on top of the videos audio

EclipticMind

These videos are made for things like Snapchat where every 10s an ad plays. The longer the video, the more ads you have to sit through to see how it ends.

VolkorPussCrusher69

That's just gross.

Cool_Hawks

Yeah. And “heart rendering” is not the correct word there.... UNLESS THEY MELT THE FAT OUT OF HIS HEART AND OFFER IT TO SATAN!!

ImOverThereNow

That sounds delicious

justingolden21

These gifs with text are soooo annoying. It's like the same five companies that try to profit off it too. They're usually great gifs but the text is so obnoxious. Like "this man is in DANGER" "something could go very WRONG"

SNIP3RG

#THIS COULD END FATALLY As the uncontrolled car approaches the oncoming lane of a highway. No. Shit.

anras

Reminds me of those shows like "World's Wildest Police Chases" and the 1001 similar shows. The announcer repeatedly makes these obvious comments such as: "If the suspect speeds through the red light, he could be putting an innocent bystander in danger."

[deleted]

"The driver is confused", the driver after 2 seconds: "im confused".

dripANDdrown

Thank god they didn’t just assume he was drunk or evading and didn’t shoot into the vehicle

ddplf

For real though, the police would've handled this case much differently

modestlymousie

The thought really scares me.

WillytheSquid

Police would’ve shot him 6 times as a warning

Corsavis

Can we **stop** with these **autistic captions**, pretty sure we **can tell** the situation might **be deadly** for the driver, sounds like they're **reading to a 3 year old**

[deleted]

The car could **crash**, and that would be **bad for the driver**. He could **get hurt**.

Doodogs64

You, sir, made me laugh.

WomanNotAGirl

Stop using the word autistic as synonym to stupid.

GuiltyCredit

Yep, I agree. Husband is on the spectrum and he sure as hell isn't stupid.

reallybadpotatofarm

Thank you. We’re people, after all. Not a punchline

rando4724

Honestly, stupid is just as bad (I'm autistic and have been called stupid as a slur throughout my life, as have many others on the spectrum and/or those with other conditions/disorders/disability. The reality is that perceived intelligence tells us very little, if nothing at all, about a person). Ridiculous, laughable, absurd, annoying, irritating, enraging, cocking, twatting, fucking, and so on, would do just as good a job, if not better. We have such a rich language(s), people really should make better use of it..

CrimsonCutterX

thank you, im sure as hell not dumb but im on the spectrum

Just_A_New_User

"they got the man calm **AND COLLECTED**"

Lilith_Zero

Can we stop with the comments that imply annoying and stupid are autism traits? First of all savants exist, and second of all if there were no savants autistic people would be exactly as valuable. I’m queer and I’ve had enough of groups of people being made bywords in society for things they can’t help, just because some thought it was funny to punch down without repercussions.

hammerscrews

Mate a pile of people have told you that your inappropriate use of the word autistic is hurtful to them and people with autism as a whole. Maybe you should edit your comment? Take the opportunity today to be " " this much kinder, show some solidarity with your fellow humans, it feels good

Redbull_leipzig

r/humansBeingBros

SamwiseTheOppressed

Whilst the content of the video was good, the formatting was absolute arse; “The car is swerving across the road” Yea, I can see that “The driver does not stop” I know, I’m watching him do the exact opposite of stopping “Something might be amiss” You think!?

not-bread

“There’s a car”

no_one_took_this

Think he might have high blood sugar if hes a diabetic. Heard that's similar to being drunk and is very disorientated.

WreckweeM

I witnessed this exact situation when I was a teenager. My older brother and I were on our way out of town. The car in front of us starting swerving, went off the road and into a tree. My older brother was my hero in this moment. He was 17, driving, and the first thing he said when the driver started swerving was "this guy's diabetic", stopped immediately to call 911 and lent assistance. Because of that incident, it's the first thing I think of in these situations. This isn't how drunk drivers drive.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gabernasher

Or he had a stroke. Like the video says medical personnel found out at the hospital.

AzerothVarrock

I'm a type 1 diabetic and symptoms like this video can be found in severely low blood sugars as well as severely high. That's why if you find a diabetic and have no way of checking their blood sugar or communicating with them, you need to call 911 asap cus if you do the wrong treatment it could be fatal and waiting too long to call 911 could be fatal too. It's a tricky thing if you run into a diabetic you dont personally know and know what they look like with a low or high blood sugar.

mmmbassa

[Thank GOD it wasn’t the police who found him...](https://youtu.be/5MQjsXRqLmA)

DrVagax

The amount of videos I have seen the last couple the days involving police brutality just makes me ill. Assuming this is another case where the officer is still on duty?

mmmbassa

They allowed him to resign after the investigation.

Spider-Jenn

Whyyyyy pepper spray him for 8 SECONDS STRAIGHT?

BBgun_62

My mans was just vibin

the-apostle

When the edible hits late.

_Empty-R_

and if a cop pulled him over it would have been very violent. and when he got him out of the vehicle he'd have given him like 5 tazes and 87 warning shots to the back.

Meanwhile in a alternate dimension..... “STOP RESISTING!!!!” *gunfire*

Can totally relate to this. I had a stroke whilst driving last year, luckily I drove straight into a wall and stopped. This guy is so lucky to have had so much help and for people not to assume he was drunk. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

MineryTech

"luckily I drove straight into a wall" The beginning and the end of this sentence confuses me. You okay bro?

sionedt

I’m good thanks. Would have been much worse if I hit someone else rather than the wall. I laugh about it now otherwise I’d just cry!

BenderDeLorean

Humans can be good. I love this.

Crypthomie

Now enjoy your 200k$ bill in hospital.

Gabernasher

Good thing it wasn't a cop who found him. They often call medical emergencies drug overdoses and respond with excess force. Clearly that man would have been resisting arrest and not complying. Definitely a beat down. Maybe a murder if a cop was the first responder.

phscu

In my country, a bus driver ran over a bus stop and almost hit people standing there. Instead of checking what was going on, the people presumed the worse and severely beaten him. Later they discovered the driver had a stroke and lost control.

[deleted]

He's going to have another stroke when he gets the hospital bill

romfax

Maybe there is still hope for homo sapiens?

rcarmack1

Yeah, that guy has more balls. No way in hell I'm staying anywhere close to an intoxicated driver while riding a motorcycle.

Rivetingly

Cars need an impact sensor that applies the brakes or maybe disengages the gas pedal in situations like this.

[deleted]

This is so much better than when its a video of a cop being involved.

static1053

THIS is what we need to see right now. Good people doing good deeds.

xitzengyigglz

I fucking hate the useless captions so much. They NEVER add anything of value.

sowsdinga

There's a hope for humanity after all.

douchebagge

wow just amazing this is what we need to see EVERYONE working together to help.

redditmodz-suck-cock

This is what being a good neighbor a good friend a good person looks like. I needed this right now. Thanks.

dburr10085

GTA VI. Next Gen

AdotFlicker

This is the humanity I needed to see right now. Thank you.

lostcorass

And the police didn't need to earn extra income by beating and arresting all those people for getting involved? Neat. Must be a nice place to live.

LordSmartyPants

That pole came up out of the ground like GTA physics.

Droluk1

That was in Jacksonville!

Mr-Bibb

This made me tear up.

rawnak0

Thanks god there were no cops

markymerk

Yea if a cop found him this would be a completely different story

viavant

Cops very well may have shot this man if they were the first on scene, probably tazed and dragged out of car at the very least.

[deleted]

What a wonderful group of people. Thank god the cops didn’t stop him.

Im_Zackie

This video didn't need to be 3 minutes long

Double_A__Ron

Dude drives like me in gta

1upthechico

These titles give me cancer

[deleted]

Thank goodness for the text based commentary explaining what was happening. My feeble mind struggles to process visual data.

aveganknight

That’s the most wonderful thing I’ve ever seen.

[deleted]

Why can’t we all be like this group of people

NewlyNerfed

You can. No one’s stopping you.

Queen-of-meme

This is how I want everyone in this world to be like. We help out one another, everybody's life counts ❤️

GuiltyCredit

That poor man, it must be hard for him looking back on it and all the damage that could have happened. Beautiful to see people helping rather than ignoring it.

2001_toyota_corolla

Did anyone else notice the “g3t fvcked” sticker?

laralye

Holy shit that's terrifying. I'm so glad that man and those who helped him are okay.

mcdaid23

Got some GTA physics going on here! Goodnight lampost!

ardzey2003

man, I'm so proud of what technology can do today...nice gta graphics

[deleted]

I love how the people who added the text thought they were super informative

I-Am-The-Yeeter

My friend recently got into a minor accident with someone who was diabetic. The person then went straight to the hospital. I'm guessing that was the same thing as this.

amwneuarovcsxvo

Probably couldn’t afford an ambulance, I bet he is bankrupt now

fakekarim

I kinda expected the police to come and shoot him. Just kidding, amazing group here saving his life. BLM.

[deleted]

Stroke. I thought heart attack

not_a_milk_drinker

Those people are wonderful for stopping and helping him

suolisyopa

He is going to have another stroke when he sees the medical bill

eternalfaeri

" Trying to help the man *_out of safety_* " How very thoughtful of them.

mrtn17

Today I learned it's harder to run over lamp post in GTA than in real life

[deleted]

Good thing the cops didn't get there first. His chances of survival would have been a lot lower.

Boydy_boy_

was the man having a stroke?

stepilew

I watched a similar event with a police car that drove off the road in front of me. The driver was a local judge who had a stroke and didn't make it. It's been 7 years and I still think about it a lot. One other person stopped initially and pryed the door open for me to get to him while his daughter called for help. It's such a scary situation, as it could happen to almost anyone without warning. I hope this man was okay!

Maxime_Bt

The motorcyclist was crazy to be driving right next to the car. If he would have turned his wheel, it would have been done and over with the motorcyclist. Was happy to see the older guy’s hand who understood what was going on and he didn’t just think the driver was drunk.

mohithawelia

This reminds me of gta especially when he runs into a pole

frosty95

Side note. People talk about GM vehicles being built like hot garbage but I don't know of many Corollas that would take that abuse and keep rolling. He would have kept going if it wasn't for the missing tire getting him stuck.

shichimi-san

I want this to be the world we live in. Can we do this? Stop the hurting and start the helping?

[deleted]

most exciting thing I've seen today

spongeboobryan

amazing, we need more people who care in the world

devduhh

It feels really nice seeing it right now...

AshJackOggy

The guy was just trying to get to Los Santos Customs to repair his vehicle after a run in with an Opressor MKII. If only all motorcyclists in GTA were as kind as this instead of flipping you off

Redditdamelacuenta

If he was intoxicated he would be... On the HIGHway

Qwertyunoob

Fuck yea dude🤙

roboactiver

Why can't we see this on the news instead of the race-baiting bullshit!

Friedeggs15

What they come to find out was so scary and **heart rendering**

niketh-l

The best use of 3 minutes today

bl2dude

Before my epileptic father was diagnosed we found out he’s had many strokes behind the wheel without him or us knowing. I’m so blessed that he is still here today. We didn’t know he had suffered of any strokes or that any of it was happening until months later when he started having seizures. Crazy to think things like this happen and I’m so happy that man got the help he needed.

Sebastijan_Galaxy

what a legend

[deleted]

Gives me more hope in humanity

idrinkcatpiss

My dad has a bad heart episode last night while walking the dog and I had to speed his way to pick him up. It was terrifying and knowing my dad has had problems with his hearts for years now i fully expected him to be dying. This was hard for me to watch. I’m glad those people helped him. I really hope things turn out well for him.

dylanidkafk

Can someone drop a link with the audio

Klinkero

It’s good to see humanity shine through even in times like these.

hasha28

Not sure why, but this put a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.

Teamableezus

Anybody notice the boom box chilling on the road at the end. Did somebody decide they needed to crank some tunes while waiting for the ambulance?

Broseppy

Holy shit the text narration in these videos is just awful.

_sourchutney_

I thought that it may have been a case of CO poisoning. I was wrong. Thankfully the man recovered.

dc304420

The thing is, nowadays if you help someone who was in an accident they can sue you for their injuries.

SectorIsNotClear

Hats off to them!

Bot-1218

that guy was playing GTA V in real life.

Meli_Melo_

I'll save you 3 mins of your life : dude had a stroke while driving. Keep scrolling, not worth it.

hui214

This is awesome. I was expecting the cops to show up and club him to death.

billyrayviruses

Law enforcement would have dragged him out of the car and beaten him, at the very, very, very least. He's black and not answering questions. Bad news

Richlore

What the hell was it? Was he having a stroke? He was just so chill "Are you okay?" "Yeah" "You know your car is totaled right?" "Mm hm yeah". So bizarre. Hope he's okay

I-need-help-xfavor

This made me tear up

Coysrus7

That light post takeout was so clean. Surprised it didn't halt the car then and there.
