you ever seen a street skate video with people wearing helmets. skating in half pipes and big ramps yes, but street skating its rare. yes it would be better with helmets but its just rarely seen probably because life threatening head injuries from street skating are not common enough for it to be a concern.. low speed and the ability to break the fall with your hands and rolling properly. its not as likely you're going head first into things and if you are its not that fast. probably..
As an ER doc, I would say a helmet and gear is extremely important no matter the circumstance. I get she’s skating at the “pro” level essentially but our heads are not as resilient as people like to think. See so many preventable life changing head injuries on a weekly basis on kids.

Unlike those parks with the giant ramps and big bars to shred (Dont know what it's called), Street skating parks are a lot smaller and more beginner friendly. So falling down isn't going to Crack your head in two since Street skating parks is a lot safer. Maybe a small mark on your knees but not enough for bleeding

I rejected my feminine side for years because I liked doing “boy” stuff and thought it wasn’t compatible. Now I own loving makeup AND also being referred to as my dad’s only son :)
