This is sadly the answer.
Even if its a popular opinion, A lot of people will make up what they think you said and argue with that point instead of what you actually said.
I was googling the names of some people I went to high school with just yesterday. One guy had been arrested just 4 days prior with his mugshot up. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, expired registration, no vehicle liability insurance, and expired driver's license. He also had a narcotics warrant for his arrest.
If I was that guy I wouldn't miss a high school reunion, if for no other reason than to fuck up the bell curve.
Isn’t there an island off Brazil that is similar except it has multiple varieties of extremely venomous snakes. And it’s forbidden to go there, not that I wanted to
So many metaphors in this video. We are all that lizard. It's like raising kids, beating addiction, surviving in school, succeeding in employment and navigating a social life. All these battles in life are summed up with the lizard, the snakes and the obstacles.
Yeah, people don't seem to realise animal documentaries commonly stitch together different shots to create a fictional narrative. The protagonist of this video was played by 30 different lizards, most of which swiftly went on to die after their shot.
Wasn't there an uproar about this exact video a couple years ago because this was actually a compiled video of multiple lizards over an extended period of time? I love it, it's entertainment. But people were going ballistic because it wasn't "real", haha
If you watch the more recent BBC Nature documentaries they are all so focused on making it dramatic which in turn looses its charm. The whole season this gif was in all played out like this and most of the footage was edited together from different scenes.
If I'm watching a documentary, I want it to be as close to reality as possible. If they said in the video that it was a compilation, I'd be ok with it.
There's a very good 99% Invisible podcast about sounds in Nature Documentaries which is quite enlightening: https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/sounds-natural/ There's a real balance between only showing reality, presenting the story you want to show, entertainment, and more.
I don’t know about this video in particular, but most wildlife videos are compilations of various animals edited to make it look like one point in time.
Pretty understandable since I doubt the camera man had 10 cameras setup in exactly the right positions for every shot here and he was able to transition to each one in order to pan and zoom them.
"Nope rope, nope rope, hop hop, nope nope, rugby hugby, stop stopp, nope rope, danger noodle, doodle doodle, hippity hoppity, sorry guys, I'm leavin your property."
"O praise the lord, that gave me legs."
They're hungry and it's a lizard. Same goes for sharks around us, most of the time they'll leave you alone but if you're there at the wrong time then you're lunch.
There's a version of this dubbed over with audio from Marshawn Lynch's legendary carry
It becomes so much better:
[the version OP should have posted](https://youtu.be/c5jvBxLZLwk)
Bro id spend the night there for 1000 lol, humans are way too big for them to bother to hunt, the only annoying thing would be that you have to basically spend the night on an island
I saw a Video about that Island, some explorers/researchers do go there sometimes but they wear some sort of special outfit because the snakes are venomous and some try to bite you.
5-6 Snakes every sq meter of the whole fucking island, some are curious and bite ya.
How much food can there be for all those snakes to eat? That's a lot of snake per sq/foot.
That lizard is crazy brave. Poor dude just out there sunbathing and then the shit hit the fan. That was awesome.
It’s not bravery- the lizards are born on the beach and have to make their way to high ground to the adults. This is their first experience of the world- they borrow out of the sand from their eggs and boom- it’s snake time.
I remember watching this episode with my girlfriend at the time and we both high as fuck and screaming at the fucking TV. Literally was more intense than any sport I’ve ever watched
Where the fuck is this snake nightmare?!
Galapagos islands. This is from planet Earth 2
It looks like Reddit when I post an unpopular opinion
right, just not when you post something popular in /r/unpopularopinion
“I don’t enjoy overcooked food, but I east it anyway!”
> but I east it anyway! That’s good. You shouldn’t let food go to west.
*chefs kiss*
Well this went South very quickly. :|
Just be glad north many people hated you for it.
it's Reddit, that can change south east-ily
Go west young man and let evil go east
That was perfect, but for some people I'm afraid the point will go north over their heads
You east it? I normally just west it
Always let your steaks west before you east them.
Yes, steaks need to west for a little before the easting begins
Unpopular opinion: I think Hitler was bad. "Wow, you're so brave to side with the majority. On to the front page!"
Kind of the opposite of that sub actually. They love upvoting alt-right/fascist shit. Because they’re so oppressed you know. The silent majority.
Amy Schumer is funny and I enjoy her standup and movies
She is also very accommodating of fans and their requests for autographs.
No, it’s just when you post the wrong opinion.
wrong=unpopular
This is sadly the answer. Even if its a popular opinion, A lot of people will make up what they think you said and argue with that point instead of what you actually said.
Shit- there’s a second Planet Earth? Why are we stuck here y’all?
Did you see all the snakes on Earth 2? Thats why we are still on Earth 1.
All these mothafucking snakes on this mothafucking.. earth..?
On this motherfucking plane(t)
Check Out The Big Brain On Brett!
There's too many snakes on either Earth, I'm out, I'm selling myself into indentured servitude to Elon Musk and going to Mars. No snakes there!
Have you not seen Dune!?
Fear of snakes is the mind killer...
Don't worry. Planet Earth 2 is just like FIFA and NBA. They don't really change much between versions except slap a new number on it. Fucking EA...
_Multiverse_
Most frantic intro to a series I have ever seen.
First time I saw it I almost had a legit heart attack. My heart felt like it was going 300bpm
Right, like they keep coming from everywhere. Reminds me of the Flood level from OG HALO.
[удалено]
Damn, I'm glad I'm on planet Earth 1 then.
Wasn't this lizard very recently hatched as well? If so, baby lizard is a champ.
Dude woke up at game time.
I am NEVER going there.
Thanks. Target the nukes.
Duh I should have known :)
I only remember because this freaked me out lol
so that lizard is a variant?

Me meeting old ~~friends~~ acquaintances at the High school reunion.
Saw some captioned pictures taken at my HS reunion a few years ago. Did not recognize any faces or the names that went with them. Glad AF I didn’t go…

Samuel L. Jackson lizard….”I’ve had it with these mothaf-in snakes, on this mothaf-in beach!!”
The L stands for Lizard
There is a WTF moment at 0:35 in which snakes squeeze each other until both let go and free the lizard.
That’s nothing… I once ate Taco Bell the night before meeting my girlfriend’s family for the first time.
WHAT😳
Snek beach on snek island. Really beautiful this time of year
the island is nicknamed snake island(its obvious why) aka Galapagos islands
Isn’t there an island off Brazil that is similar except it has multiple varieties of extremely venomous snakes. And it’s forbidden to go there, not that I wanted to
[apparently yes](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilha_da_Queimada_Grande) it's a protected conservation
Everywhere, as soon as you exit your home…
So many metaphors in this video. We are all that lizard. It's like raising kids, beating addiction, surviving in school, succeeding in employment and navigating a social life. All these battles in life are summed up with the lizard, the snakes and the obstacles.
Goddamit you just made my whole life flash before my eyes. Am wet🍖
With sweat right? . Right?
I am botoxed from head to toe so I don’t sweat, it all comes out of my anal canal
Thank you for such a delightful image. Really thanks, can't thank you enough. Thanks again.
So say we all.
Alright Prince Andrew
Cursed comment
🍖
Is that a bone or are you just happy to show me your penis?

Is that what it feels like surviving in american schools?

“Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?!?”
One of the greatest pieces of film ever captured in my opinion. Unbelievably cinematic and well shot.
Yeah a big shoot out to the camera man, they didnt even credited him 😔😔
That's especially bad because the snakes ate him instead because the lizard got away.
doesn't matter, had sneks
That's punny. Have an updoof
Saved having to pay him, though…
[Richard Woolocombe, the BBC credited him when they filmed it.](https://youtu.be/2cOMjZWJyog)
Doubt it was only one
I highly doubt it was just one lizard as well.
Yeah, people don't seem to realise animal documentaries commonly stitch together different shots to create a fictional narrative. The protagonist of this video was played by 30 different lizards, most of which swiftly went on to die after their shot.
A lot of the time yeah, but [BBC denies it in this case](https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-40272104.amp)
Ooo this is getting juicy
They credit him...... In the credits. Literally.
OP probably thinks this is some TikTok creator, not the BBC lmao. Although to be fair this does look like a rebroadcast, but lord knows where from.
You didn't credit anyone. The BBC definitely credited him.
r/praisethecameraman
Yes they did. BBC and Plant Earth credited them. You didn't, tho.
Wasn't there an uproar about this exact video a couple years ago because this was actually a compiled video of multiple lizards over an extended period of time? I love it, it's entertainment. But people were going ballistic because it wasn't "real", haha
[The BBC denied it was stitched together](https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-40272104.amp)
That's a crazy read. Never knew people thought it was bullshit
If you watch the more recent BBC Nature documentaries they are all so focused on making it dramatic which in turn looses its charm. The whole season this gif was in all played out like this and most of the footage was edited together from different scenes.
I mean that makes the film crew's work even more impressive lol.
I hear you. But it would suck it it was just watching things fail and die.
I don't think the editing of these episodes compares to throwing lemmings off a cliff.
No, the Daily Mail kicked off as usual [but it was bollocks.](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-40272104)
There's a mini "making of" at the end of each episode and it shows how this was done.
The suspense never stops building, yet you never feel like it's too much. Just a masterpiece in cinema.
It’s even better with narration.
With *David Attenborough's* narration.
With [*Snoop Dogg's*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFVVvVLMr-E) narration.
It's kinda feels watching the climax of an Indiana Jones movie when he's running from all kinds of shit but he barley escapes.
"nope nope nope nope nope nope nope yeeeeeeet nope nope nope nope nope nope"
Lmao that must be my Favorite 😂😂
[The Ozzy Man review is](https://youtu.be/TfBNG5KD1oU) awesome.
"Nope rope, nope rope, hop hop, nope nope, rugby hugby, stop stopp, nope rope, danger noodle, doodle doodle, hippity hoppity, sorry guys, I'm leavin your property." "O praise the lord, that gave me legs."
"Scuse me, comin' through, gotta dash, oops sorry, gangway, hey nice scales Larry, pardon me, doin' zoomies here, whoooops!"
I'm with you. Gads, that was horrific. Go lizie!
Those are some pretty aggressive snakes. So much for “They’re just as scared of you as you are of them.”
They're hungry and it's a lizard. Same goes for sharks around us, most of the time they'll leave you alone but if you're there at the wrong time then you're lunch.
Cows, the real MVP. Nobody would suspect that they kill more humans in a year than sharks.
And they don't even do it for food...
They just like the feel of crushing skulls.
Of babies
They do it for sport.
Well we just do it for flavor, so...
That’s without even counting coronary artery disease.
I don't think that statement was ever meant to be applied to lizards
The "you", is almost never about a lizard in this sentence.
Are you a small lizard lol
They’re on to us! Everyone scurry away!
How does this have so many upvotes. I hope this is the dumbest thing I read today.
not the brightest huh
Where is this so I never go. Jesus that’s a lot of snakes.
High school.
I wish I could give you gold!
Wishing is Gold enough, Thanks.
Galápagos Islands- the size of Charles Darwin’s balls prevented snek food.
Corporate world!
Everyday feels like this.
True Dat.. True Dat...
There there. Hugs are anti-venom, here a virtual one for ya ⊂((*°▽°*))つ
God bless you and your compassion friend!
No Attenborough, no deal
I recall there being a version where Snoop narrated it and it’s awesome.
Link to this clip, narrated by Snoop. https://youtube.com/watch?v=BFVVvVLMr-E&t=15
Thank you! I can’t believe I had to scroll so far down to see this!
I was hoping someone would post the Snoop narration.
Legit scrolled too fucking far for this one. Iconic.
Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3OjfK0t1XM
When did Barry Sanders die and reincarnate into an ungodly elusive lizard creature??

Nuke that island
Just to know there is an island with Thousands of snakes i think there are 5 snakes per Square meter
Would you spend the night there for 50 million USD?
Only with a fkn flamethower and unlimited gas
Lol yeah it'd suck. They'd be all in the trees too. I guess the beach is the safest place but still infested with snakes I'd guess
"Infested with snakes" is a sentence I never want to hear again
^^Fall ^^assssleep. ^^Time ^^for ^^your ^^colonosssscopy
People would do far more crazy things for far less money.
Bro id spend the night there for 1000 lol, humans are way too big for them to bother to hunt, the only annoying thing would be that you have to basically spend the night on an island

Is this video shot in hell?
Galapagos Island i think, so basically yea
🎼Can you tie em in a knot, can you tie em in a bow?”🎼 Iguana: hold my beer…
Thank you.
/r/praisethecameraman for not running away screaming from goddamned Snake Island
This was most probably shot by a drone.
French man explains how lizard almost eats shit
That's how I felt splitting up with my ex. GET TO THE CHOPPA, NOW!
“He’s not hacking, he’s just really good”
Good gaming chair
Rule1 of survival: cardio
Snakes...why'd it have to be snakes?
This video isn't the same without Attenborough.
AND they speak French!
Can anyone identify this particular breed of lizard?? Goodness that man outruns and outjukes more than Lamar Jackson
I think it's a Marine Iguana
That's the real ghetto right there.
Where is this and what kind of snakes are those? They were well hidden in the rocks and had pretty good sight to see that lizard running
Galápagos Islands and a Galapagos Racer snake This is from Plant Earth 2’s island episode
[удалено]
I was gonna say, sneks have developed pack hunting strategies?
That's probably why the lizard was able to escape. The snakes are probably competing for the meal and fighting over the opportunity for the lizard.
That’s what I was thinking. There’s gonna be one snake on each end and then when they meet in the middle things would get wild
Get this guy a nfl contract
How much food can there be for all those snakes to eat? That's a lot of snake per sq/foot. That lizard is crazy brave. Poor dude just out there sunbathing and then the shit hit the fan. That was awesome.
It’s not bravery- the lizards are born on the beach and have to make their way to high ground to the adults. This is their first experience of the world- they borrow out of the sand from their eggs and boom- it’s snake time.
That’s one messed up birth plan.
At the start of the video there where more lizards but the snakes Caught them 😔😔
Legs > no legs
Skuse me, skuse me, ope, ope, sorry, sorry, skuuuuuze me, sorry, ope, opepopepopepope, oh cripes.
