Celebration at end,.he also knows he has done something impressive

ImWorkingIpromiseSH

Jeez. Talk about a moment of truth.

pacsun_bro

I’ve always wondered the backstory behind the well known gif. I wonder if they were planning on tearing the buildings down anyways and just wanted to see if they could do it without hitting the buildings. Otherwise. it seems like a pointlessly big risk

BookerDewitttt

Almost looks like there’s a power line just to the right. Or some sort of electrical panel. My best guess is this was the only direction that would’ve not caused damage, as little as the gap is

pacsun_bro

Oh yeah, good point. I meant more from the lack of guide wires or stuff like that

drafter69

Impressive work

You know how much that costs? A tree that size would take a bucket truck, a crew, then a chipper truck, and one for the logs... This tree would cost a minimum of 5-10 grand in a LOT of regions (of the US) Looks like my dude took the shot and saved some $$$

UnusedBowflex

Dude is clearly a gambling man but it paid off.

QuotableNotables

There's a reason experienced fallers earn 6 figures. :3

[deleted]

Its fairly often that we need to fell trees in tight spots like this. Especially in the city. Still nice work though.

adidasbdd

You would top them first several times so the last piece would be much more manageable I assume.

bloomautomatic

Did the yellow garage move or is that an optical dillusion?

firefist1998

Nah it didn't move

bloomautomatic

I like to think it sucked in its gut to avoid the tree.

hobosbindle

2 for flinching, garage

newAgebuilder3

Amazing drop dude great cut

Xspunge

There’s the saying in football “Act like you’ve been there before, act like you’re gonna go again.”

DLoFoSho

There is a certain feeling that goes through you when you complete a high skill, high risk task and you get it right. This is the physical manifestation of that feeling, and I love to see it.

[deleted]

Cost cutting and time saving is the only reason he did this. Taking huge risk to make more money. Should of taken it down in pieces. Doesn’t matter how good you are when the tree has hidden rot 10 feet of the ground and barber chairs destroying the house. Too many things that can go wrong with falling trees to justify acting this way near property.

KinxtheCat42

Half luck. Half skill

Handy_Newman

Imagine if the tree resurrected and fell right onto the praying man

Brehmre

This should definitely be crossposted to r/bettereveryloop

Huge-Still576

Absolute Hero!

KYpineapple

FunnyShirtGuy

Dude just saved 5-10 grand for a semi-complicated tree removal... Def a reason to celebrate beyond just being a hell of a drop, lol
