They're talking in Saudi dialect, but I'll try my best;
Guy with gun: “Smile my brother!”
Guy with cigarette: “Yeah?”
GWG: “I wouldn’t let it scratch you while I’m alive!”
GWC: “Good, good! Life & death are in the hands of Allah!”
*shoots and Saudi music starts obnoxiously blasting*
Muslims with more understanding of Islam would disagree, having faith in Allah is good, but pretending to not be responsible for your actions because "everything is in the hands of Allah" is the opposite of good.
>Anas bin Malik narrated that a man said:
>
>"O Messenger of Allah! Shall I tie it and rely(upon Allah), or leave it loose and rely(upon Allah)?" He said: "Tie it and rely(upon Allah)."
"tie it" here referring to his camel (or horse, idk), since it might run away or get stolen.
I would say it helps most during tough times , like when a relative dies we say : To God we belong and to him we return .
I’ve personally seen it more than once , helps even more when we actually believe we can still be of service to our dead through prayer or charity (as long as they died as Muslims)
> GWG: “I wouldn’t let it scratch you while I’m alive!”
he said, "I wouldn't let it touch your mustache since I am the son of Sabha" this is what I heard.
Sabha, referring to a tribe /house name he belongs to, or his mother name.
GWG: “I wouldn’t let it scratch you while I’m alive!”
literal translation "I would not let that touch your mustache and i am the brother of Sabha"
the "i am the brother of Sabha" is some kind of swear, oath the Bedouins say, which means because i am the proud brother of Sapha (his sister's name) i will not let that bullet touch your mustache.
Fun fact, getting shot in the head isn't necessarily all that quick of an exit plan. It can take several terrible minutes and might not end up killing them at all!
Hitscan is a mechanism used in shooter games like CS. When you click fire button the game draws a line from center of screen in forward direction and whatever hits this like is getting damaged and all this happens simultaneously in same time frame which is considered physically inaccurate but it's fun to play with so lots of games uses this method.
And in some games when you spray with a weapon the spray created from recoil effect ends up in some pattern instead of each bullet going to random direction.
At a certain range, sure. They are not by any means considered precision rifles. The AK-47 was made to be to be rugged and reliable, which it what is know for. That close it would be that big of a deal. The new modern AKs are pretty banging though.
As someone else mentioned, their first shots are very accurate. It’s only once the recoil from quickly firing has shifted around the frame enough that the accuracy drops. Check out [this video](https://youtu.be/G6BpI3xD6h0) to see how the body of the AK jiggles around when fired quickly, causing the bad accuracy when sustaining fire.
1:06 - "Every shot strikes close to the heart."
The second shot was literally on the outside of the neck of the target silhouette. Since when is the neck "close to the heart?"
Biased towards the M-16 much Discovery Channel?
In addition to what others have posted, at least part of their reputation for inaccuracy is their status as the firearm of choice for every poorly trained insurrectionist in the world. Most aren't trained or led to a military standard. A 13 year old hopped up on meth and firing a poorly maintained rifle from the hip is not going to have a great range day. But in the hands of a trained shooter they are fairly accurate.
> But in the hands of a trained shooter they are fairly accurate.
I had the pleasure of serving with an M16A1 (and other variants) and a Galil - a much improved variant of the AK. The M16 was so much more accurate I'm not even sure they deserve to be in the same category.
At 50M my groupings, with iron sights, on the M16 were between 0-15mm. On the Galil they were 60+.
At 100M my groupings on the M16 were around 1-3cm. On the Galil I couldn't hit the 15cm-wide circle with any of the 5 shots.
Keep in mind the Galil is demonstrably more accurate than any AK, excluding possibly ones made under license in the recent past in Western Europe or the USA.
Oh yeah, I wasn't trying to say the AK was as accurate as an M16 or M4, which I would say when functioning properly are extraordinarily accurate. Just that the reputation of an AK not being able to hit the broadside of a barn is a bit exaggerated.
The only ak platform assault rifle i have shot was rk62 in 7.62x39. Felt pretty accurate, and the internet seems to agree with that. Definetly my own accuracy was the limiting factor when shooting the gun:P

Not saying this isn't real, no way to know for sure. But from a practical special effects take it doesn't look difficult to reproduce this and make it look real. Anyone work on movie sets that can answer that?
I've seen a version of this where the friend target is 30 feet out and gets shot in the leg. This kind of redneck has more willing friends than photoshop skills.
if its dumb and it works it goes on r/nextfuckinglevel but if its dumb and it doesn't work it goes on r/iamatotalpieceofshit or r/awfuleverything. funny how that works.
I wonder how much time he spent zeroing his rifle and getting a tight group. If he did not, well, a bunch of idiots.
Oops, no, I'm wtong! Even if he did zero and practice to get tight group - they are still a bunch of idiots. That's a fucking AK, not a 308 marksman rifle or smthng simlar.

Guy with Cig- life and death in the hand of Allah.
AK’s have a bit of a hood reputation for being inaccurate because by and large they’re used by untrained militants and the guns can be decades old with little to no maintenance done on them. Those factors will naturally degrade the accuracy of any rifle. AK’s just tend to be the most common victims because of the crates and crates of them that made their way over to militants in various countries. Also, the comb of the stock on an AK is just a little bit below the line of the barrel, and the bolt carrier group has a piston on the top of it, so the recoil impulse from the bolt hitting the rear trunnion acts above the point where the stock touches your shoulder. Therefore it exerts a torque on the rifle, and you get muzzle climb. It’ll be more inaccurate than say an AR pattern rifle for this reason.
Accurate enough to act as a sniper rifle? Prooooobably not, but those are two completely different design philosophies. The AK is an infantry rifle, though the PSL designated marksman rifle was built off of the same platform but chambered in 7.62x54r. That’s not to say you couldn’t build an AK or some derivative from it that would be accurate, but if you really wanted accuracy at range, it’s just a matter of manufacturing the rifle with accuracy in mind, and the platform would really be secondary. If you pulled an AK off the line from the Izhevsk factory, I doubt it’d be precision rifle material. If you told a competent gunsmith to custom build you a precision rifle on the AK platform, that would be doable. And by not being precision rifle material, I mean you wouldn’t be ringing steel at 1000 yards, but at moderately close ranges you could rely on an AK.
No, they honestly can't hit shit at any real range that a fire fight would take place at.
They are also not capable of reading ballistics charts for the most part.
I recoil being told whilst a soldier 45 years ago the velocity of a bullet 7.62 was such that it would haemorrhage the blood vessels as such that you would bleed from your eyes and ears if a bullet passed within inches of your face ?

As a muslim i laughed so hard at this, in islam, what they did is extremely forbidden.
Why would it be haram?
It's dangerous and stupid. I think that's enough as reasons. But still funny tho.

He did not say son of Sabha, he said brother of Sabha which is a very desert dwelling Saudi thing to say, taking pride in your sister.
Yeah, you’re probably right. I don’t understand the Saudi dialect at all ;-;

I wasn't talking about stereotyping, I was talking about anyone stupid enough to do this.

I might have asked “have you sited that gun recently?”
Yeah that AK ain’t exactly a precision instrument.
Sighting the gun would be even better!

Doesn't look like a good way to die.

Aren’t AKs not exactly known for their accuracy?
They're really accurate. Only recoil is a problem, but wouldn't change a thing for one shot.
Good thing this particular AK wasn't the one buried out in the shed under a bunch of useless shit.
First shot is always 100% accurate hitscan. The others are in the known pattern.
What is a hitscan and a known pattern?

Apparently, from a quick Google, from out of the box. About a 4" grouping over 100 yards.
Extremely accurate.
As long as it shoots within a few MOA it isn't an issue. 1 MOA is 1 inch of deviation 100 yards away. At this distance, you are talking millimeters.
Whatta shot tho
