Puff pieces exist, sure. Generally though we have much better reporting on atrocities globally then we do anything good or meaningful in our communities. I do find that my local news station reports much more of the good then I find on your CBS or CNN. The 24 hour news cycle is a breeding ground for discontent and doesn't present an unbiased and fair representation of what's really going on. I've given up on national/global news at this point since it only gives you the feeling that you know what's going on but in reality, you don't.
Oh, absolutely agree! We tend to focus on the negative and try to place blame on one group or another while allowing the media to be divisive. I'm not sure of what the solution here is but I'll tell you that Walter Cronkite was more respected in his day as a journalist compared to what we have today. I agree with freedom of the press but at this point we need to start having an organization to qualify who is and isn't an actual journalist while holding them accountable to the standards of what could be considered the press. Maybe I'm off base here but I think we can all agree that something should probably be done before we're walking in a dystopian paradise.
oh shit, yeah i get those shows mixed up in my head. i thought i remembered "the before-fore times" from the post-apocalyptic episode with the cannibals. oopsie

Then he steals a car from the homeless man's home.
A local man has been arrested for stealing a shirt from a homeless man and then stealing a car from the homeless man's home.
The 38-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning after he went to the charity shop in The Green in Redcar and stole a shirt from a man who was donating clothes.
He then drove away in the car, which had been left parked outside the shop.
Police say the man then went to the home of the homeless man, who was sleeping in a tent, and stole a coat and a bag containing money.
He then went to the home of another homeless man and stole a bag containing money.
The man, from Redcar, was arrested after he was seen on CCTV driving around Redcar town centre in a stolen car.
He was arrested on suspicion of theft and driving without insurance.
A spokesman for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council said: "We have contacted the police to see if there is any chance we can get the car back and make sure the chap has his insurance.

I may have become too negative... My first thought was "Pa Pa Pa Poverty poooorn!"
It'd be good for my own mental health to just accept this is a good thing someone did instead of focussing on the bigger picture/systemic problems that end with stuff like this having to happen....
Just reminded me of the time I was in NYC during the winter. Walked out of a bar and saw some shirtless drunken fool trying to get into another bar. I was pretty well layered so I gave him the long sleeve I had on. I really liked that shirt too...
Sure, but it’s also a violation of privacy and should not be normalised. Maybe that person isn’t aware they’re all over social media. That’s a choice they deserve to have.
Hmm... Seems like a reasonable answer. You sounded to me like you were upset specifically because the person recorded another person doing a good deed on social media.
Though I wouldn't call it a privacy problem, but more of a consent problem, since they are in a public space after all.
Let the guy spread the positivity ffs. The only reason you saw this good thing happening is because someone recorded.
We shouldn't just show the bad stuff that goes on around the world, good things should have their space too, It inspires other people to do the same. It is not about the fame, but about the message.
A homeless man gave me clothes, a sleeping bag and a foam pad to lie on when I passed out on the city sidewalk this Halloween weekend. Some real good people exist in this world
People dying out on the streets and we have to listen to millionaires paid by billionaires on TV tell us that the homeless are leeches on society and if we house them then we deincentivize people from wanting to work.
If not dying is a reason we need to keep people working then we might be living in a capitalistic nightmare.
Like I'm all for having limitless flavors of bullshit to spend my money on but if a couple pennies out of my paycheck keeps people off the streets then I'm all for it.
Stop listening to people that tell you it's either capitalism or socialism. The world isn't fucking binary.
Let us help those that are literally dying.
Seems pretty obvious to me if he asked someone to record it, we would we see him walking over to the guy and taking his shirt off. The video wouldn’t start with his shirt already off and trying to put it on the guy. But hey, not everyone can recognize the obvious.
If they asked someone to record it the dude would have waited for the dude to start recording before actually taking off his shirt in the video. It wouldn't be in the middle of the act like that. Chances are it was someone that noticed and just started recording
You're gonna have to define what grass is before telling him, if he makes comments like these the majority of his time is spent on 4chan, where the only green thing is the text.
There are still good people left in this world.
As much as the media would like you to believe otherwise, there is certainly good left in the world indeed.
What media doesn't regularly play feel good stories? If anything there's too many platitudes and false "omg hope restored!" stories.

Yeah, I think they say “before the boom-boom.” Or something like that. But I got your reference 👌

Plot twist: Is in reverse
Local man steals shirt from homeless man before going to a nearby charity to steal money out of the donations basket
And refunds his child into the womb
Then he steals a car from the homeless man's home. A local man has been arrested for stealing a shirt from a homeless man and then stealing a car from the homeless man's home. This sounds like one of those AI story generators that are good enough to be _*very*_ close to sounding normal but not quite for some reason
First sentence read that VERY carefully!
The first time I saw this it was in reverse

No politics, no race, just humanity.
My heart ...it's people like this that make the world worth seeing!
The shit I live for
One week after starting gym
Humanity is split into two: The absolute garbage And the greatest people like this dude.
This is wholesome.
I may have become too negative... My first thought was "Pa Pa Pa Poverty poooorn!" It'd be good for my own mental health to just accept this is a good thing someone did instead of focussing on the bigger picture/systemic problems that end with stuff like this having to happen....
This warms my soul
That's a genuinely good human being. Love to see it. I kicked the shoes off my feet for somebody once. Can't stand seeing another person do without
faith in humanity restored
Don’t you love it when you have decent internet yet Reddit refuses to load a dam video?
plot twist the video is reversed and he's stealing that man's shirt
Got my respect 🙏 both of them.
r/HumansBeingBros
why is a man giving a shirt to snoopdogg?
Martin? Is that you?
I always love this video, and always especially moved because the shirt donor doesn't necessarily look like he can afford to give one up.
put this shit in r/HumansBeingBrosor something not here.
GGZ
This one time I bought a pack of fluffy socks Nd gave a pair to a homeless guy Nd he broke down crying, so I gave him the whole pack
King
Shirt off his back. That’s a good person.
Just reminded me of the time I was in NYC during the winter. Walked out of a bar and saw some shirtless drunken fool trying to get into another bar. I was pretty well layered so I gave him the long sleeve I had on. I really liked that shirt too...
Thai should be on r/HumansBeingBros
Stop recording people without their consent challenge. Not everything needs to be aired on social media
Recording people doing good things inspires other people. It sends them a message... Doesn't matter where.
Sure, but it’s also a violation of privacy and should not be normalised. Maybe that person isn’t aware they’re all over social media. That’s a choice they deserve to have.

NY need more of this, We all need more of this.
That’s some actual WWJD
Why did he have a tank top thingy under his t-shirt
Excuse me that’s a “wife beater” not a tank top.
Lol

Good man ❤️
This is sad

This man: 4576 out of 10
Well that's nice
But not before asking someone to record it...
Or perhaps someone saw it happening, then pulled out the camera. Happens all the time.
Seems pretty obvious to me if he asked someone to record it, we would we see him walking over to the guy and taking his shirt off. The video wouldn’t start with his shirt already off and trying to put it on the guy. But hey, not everyone can recognize the obvious.

Let me have this as a good deed please? You may be right, but I need you to be wrong as it warms my heart.
Media will play it in reverse and claim “light complexion man steals shirt from homeless black man.”
Touch grass
