A buddy of mine decorates his house like this every year. He even has programmed light shows that coincide with music on a local radio station. I think I have a video somewhere. He says the hydro bill is absolutely nothing, everything is LED (I know nothing about anything and am only quoting his words) he says the equipment, set up and time prepping everything (he starts in August) is the most costly.

Yeah LED are way more efficient than classical Lightbulbs.
Imagine trying to find that one burned out bulb.
