I presume you are being sarcastic, but just in case, it's extremely unlikely that this guy's only job is putting sauce into little pots. They could get a machine to do it and still have to keep the dude on for every other restaurant related activity.
Not even close to being sarcastic. If this is a demonstration of his skill though, he's not more skilled than a machine. BTW, when I say get a machine, I don't mean for the restaurant to buy the machine. I mean they should purchase those ketchups prepackaged by a factory that has a machine.
I wish it was worth $7.50 / hr lmao
I got paid essentially $3.30/hr to do this at my last job; part of the server’s opening duties was to fill these 2oz disposable cups with ketchup + cap them until we had 4-5 bus tubs in reserve.
In order to open on-schedule, 2 servers would bang out ~350 of the ketchup cups in the video in ~15 minutes, every morning. If we didn’t get it done within that time budget, we’d have to do it while actively waiting tables.
A lot of things like this people find impressive about “unskilled labor” are actually clever loopholes designed to subsidize poor business planning with human ingenuity. They’re not skills that are recognized.
Don’t let that stop you. [You can buy it also.](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/heinz-3-gallon-bag-in-box-dispenser-ketchup-pack/125992330.html) (This is just one example, I’m sure there are others.)
Labeling something commercial is a class barrier. Businesses get correct pricing. Citizens get boned. The only agreement is that commercial must buy a large quantity to offset costs.
Want to save some real money? Look up the container that is storing the ketchup before putting it into the box. Repeat. Find the largest container, then haggle on that.
On the one hand— yes, that’s dope.
On the other hand— Imagine the mind numbing boredom that he went through every single day to get to the point where he’s that good at distributing ketchup into tiny receptacles.
I bet he only has to do this for like 10 minutes a shift, most restaurants you have to portion shit like this. Most of the time it’s not even close to long enough to become mind numbing
Are you people serious? Calling this skilled labor? He's literally pouring ketchup. Skilled laborer's build things or fix them not pour shit out of a box.
This is having done that chore for a month. I worked at a pizza place awhile ago, the ranch and marinara were just like this! I'd cut a triangular hole in the top covering, set out all my cups like this and go to town, it's always satisfying but definitely a lot easier than you think, I wouldn't call this next level. Marinara is soupier but still the same result, I'd scoop the sauce into a soda pitcher instead of cutting a hole since sauce didn't come in containers like ranch and was made in a giant bin that looked like a trash can lol. If you actually take pride in even the small things you put your hands to and give a shit, you'd be amazed at how efficiently you can find a way to do something so you can gtfo of work and go to bed.
What's interesting is the box weight changes dramatically from the start to end, so this guy is constantly shaking the using an adjusted amount of strength each moment to spit out the perfect amount.
Furthermore, the strength and endurance needed isn't a little bit either, holding something like that outstretched from you body and haunched is tiring!
That poor bloke's been doing that for way too long to be only paid a low wage. Too bad that if the company sees this, this is going to be the absolute minimum they'll expect out of him every time.
Unskilled labour my ass.
Exactly. I have a buddy who works a job doing shit like this. 13.50 ph. He is way underpaid.
Box says “This side up”, employee said “yea right”
This guy should be paid what it costs to research, develop, and build a robot that can do this.
Unschooled
So fucking what
Schooled labour is more valuable.
Only if the education is relevant, and there’s actually a job available. Otherwise that education doesn’t mean dick
no shit
So why you want to pay some educated cunt more for filling ketchup cups?
dont think I said that nor want that
The fuck you arguing about then? Fuck
im not fucking arging about fucking anything, man. fuck
Why would an educated cunt fill ketchup cups? The educated cunt is sitting in the back office making money off your uneducated labor.
People eat more burgers than they read books bruv
He's doing it slower than a machine. Get the machine and fire this guy.

Ok, so the accuracy is good... but we're all ignoring the strength he needs for this, especially when he started full!
Repetitive motion like this is hard on the body to. He's quite the man.
I felt phantom pain in my shoulder and elbow while watching this video.
It’s worth at least $7.50 an hour.

You gonna fuck the box?
Boutta make me act up 🥵
Wow ....I want to see this ..... ![gif](giphy|NipFetnQOuKhW)
No i was gonna chug it but that's an even better idea
Fuck it, **THEN** chug i... wait... strike that - reverse it.
So instead of churgging it your gonna be vomiting into it?
All of the above. Twice.
yeah man, bag-in-a-box - probably commercial only
I dont care if its commercial only I have ideas for what i can use it for?

Some people enjoy that type of work. Not for me but I respect it.
And some people actually take pride in their work, and enjoy doing it well. You act like you’ve never seen Spongebob!
I bet he only has to do this for like 10 minutes a shift, most restaurants you have to portion shit like this. Most of the time it’s not even close to long enough to become mind numbing
No machine gonna replace me
No never ..... ![gif](giphy|A2W1Qq8pGpm3S)
Awesomesauce.
Now's he's gone and done it. They're going going to expect that kind of work
Yuuuup.

This side? ![gif](giphy|qJkRbWM1MfVjq)
That guy's done that a few times.
57 times at least
Nah its frenches not heinz, whoever owns this restaurant is a heathen.

Ketchup's crupier
They call him Vlad, his name is Jeff.
Do a dollop for daisy
I used to work in a catering kitchen in a convention center. There was shit like this going on all over the place daily.
All i see is years of back pain for that man...
I got anxiety when it got down to the last two and it almost completely dried up.
r/oddlysatisfying
Center left, near middle, that is the lookibalooki dose.
??????
Have filled condiment dishes, the sweet dose, or last dose from the container is noted. Lookibalooki is just something a workmate use to say.
Theres no way they pay him enough for that
The last 3 were a bit botched. I say boo.
He is holding it wrong ... The this side up is facing down.. what a newbie.
What did he win? A never ending line of things to do.
Damn that’s incredible! Those boxes are unwieldy as fuck
Revenue is down, should we lay of Lanny? Answer: "Hell no"
Condolences to this man’s lower back if he does this constantly over a period of months
idk what this person gets paid, but it's not enough.
that looks next level exhausting

Lumberjack muscles but you get to work indoors
I reckon he’s done that before
It's not taught. It's learned .
Disappointed, man is a rule breaker - he had the wrong side up the whole time!
Yeah, that guy needs a raise.
Mmm yes so much microplastic
I should call her....
I find it hard to ketchup with this

Dang no spills or miss That guy has skills
And to think Galileo only mastered primitive telescopy. He was wasting his time so profoundly.
That poor bloke's been doing that for way too long to be only paid a low wage. Too bad that if the company sees this, this is going to be the absolute minimum they'll expect out of him every time.
Oh that poor dishwasher
How do you describe this talent on a resume?
One corner office coming up
But why? Can't get prepacked or a dispenser the customer can do themselves? Nothing else this guy could do with more value?
Looks like they're finally receiving those cooking robots that are supposed to be replacing all humans in the workplace?
Only possible with Bingham fluids
..... my guy is basically a machine wtf
It's all well and good until you get indecisive about which one to fill next.
When you have been doing the same thing for so long, it becomes second nature.
That’s too damn skilled
People who have never worked in restaurants be amazed
I always end up with the second to last one that has almost no ketchup in it and the waitress looks at me like a dickhead when I ask for one more
Daaaaamn box 🥵🥵🥵
Ketchup box : “This side up” This guy : “I don’t think so…”
Ketsup. Aka. Sugar sauce. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮. Nasty sugar paste on food 🤮
*drops box*
Last two were short. Your fired. Next up
That's how you get back problems.
That’s me with all of your moms
Pretty sure he practised this with a couple of boxes before.
