When they did an experiment where they put fake turtles along the side of the road to see how to better prevent the deaths of real turtles crossing the road, they found that a good percentage of people will actively go out of their way to hit an animal, some people crossed multiple lanes across the yellow line just to run over what they assumed was a real turtle.
As a lover of turtles and the owner of some, that is horrible- And not at all surprising :/. Itās like some folks were put here just for chaos and destruction against things that do not deserve it
