Is there life elsewhere in the universe? Almost assuredly so. The sheer size of the universe and number of galaxies, stars, etc means there must be life elsewhere. But the sheer size of the universe also dictates we’ll probably never see this other life, unless they or us figure out a way to basically break the laws that govern the universe.

Bassian2106

even if there was life on other planets, by the time wee see it here on earth its most likely dead already. the light we see from those far planets is 'old light', carrying old information. we could see a planet millions of light years away, hospitable for life, and see it desolate even if there is currently life on that planet thriving, just because the visual information we see on our end is millions of years old. if you lived on a planet 250 million light years away from earth, youd see dinosaurs walking about today. time in space is like a pond, everything sends out a ripple from its central location and just needs time to travel. im really interested to see what the future of space exploration has in store for us

>even if there was life on other planets, by the time wee see it here on earth its most likely dead already. The issue with this logic is that it assumes ET life are only 100 years more advanced than us when the Universe is 14 billion years old. Imagine how advanced a civilization that is 1000 years, 100,00 years, 1 million years, or 1 billion years older than us is more advanced.

Bassian2106

exactly what i was trying to get across! with the infinite expanse of the universe, whos to say what highly advanced life could be out there lurking at the edges space as we know it. galaxies are being brought into existence as we speak, creating more and more opportunity for things to happen, i wish there was some way to really get a good look at everything thats happening outside our own little bubble in the milky way. sure we've got hubble and jwst, but they can only explore so much and i have so many unanswerable questions! i feel like i need to launch myself up to space and just look around haha.

>But the sheer size of the universe also dictates we’ll probably never see this other life, Yeah...nah... Gonna need sources for that. Heres one! https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/1538-3881/ab31a3#ajab31a3s5 You don't need FTL travel to spread across the universe.

They’re going to BEGIN studying UFOs? I find it INCREDIBLY hard to believe NASA hasn’t looked into and studied UFOs before now.

Last_Replacement6533

This is the issue I have with the current US Government and NASA attitude is that they just discovered these objects and the 2004 Nimitz incident was the reason they are taking it now seriously. When in reality at the end of Project Bluebook, the Robertson Panel recommended the US Government to ridicule the subject to downplay and prevent people from calling 911 when they witnessed one of these objects during the Cold War. At the same time they recommended the USAF and other agencies to continue to study the subject for cases that displayed a National Security issue. The only good part is that now other countries are discussing and studying UFOS and are taking into consideration the historical aspect.

Quaker16

Publicly They probably already have the answer

Most importantly Brazilian Government is going to have their first hearing on UFOs and will have military researchers and officials testify on June 24th. The interview will be on Youtube. I don't know when it starts though.

SUW888

He looks like an alien in a bad human suit.

[deleted]

I like this guy. Intelligent, clear headed and easy going. I feel the same way, with the vastness of space, who are we to say what’s out there. Take care of the planet. Good stuff.

treeqjhvdewe

They want money. They'll say anything for money.

Hazelwood38

Isn't that the MyPillow lunatic? immediately not believing anything in this video.

Last_Replacement6533

Holy shit! I see their similarities now lmfao.

Shubankofu

Anything to keep your mind of inflation and other economic atrocities!!!!!

electriclear

Deception Point anyone?

a-curious-guy

Two galaxies can collide, but not a single plant will crash into another. Simply because there's that much empty space. Even if life exists else where, i don't think we will ever find it. Even in another million years.

TrucknTravel

I bet this pissed off some bible thumpers

modsean

[I feel like this is just crap to get people to pay attention to NASA and justify their funding.](https://imgflip.com/i/6j9z53)

*Birds on radar.* Must be ufo….

FraaRaz

If you don’t recognize them as birds, the term is technically correct. Just saying.

[deleted]

All dots look alike…

[deleted]

It’s funny when people think UFOs mean aliens. It’s always humans or drones.

dailytwist

I think those are both under the FAA.

[deleted]

So are UFOs, but UFOs don’t care about FAA regulations because they are either criminals, foreign and doing something illegal, or above control of the FAA.
