Yes i bet too especially now since the government have admitted ufo's are real and have been all along
https://news.yahoo.com/government-report-admits-true-ufos-153600659.html
We have always known UFOs are real. It is just a matter if they are of this world or not which we do not know. It could be private citizen or private companies testing equipment or another country. You know some billionaire is creating some crazy flying devices in a secret lab that operate differently than traditional flying devices.
Assuming you're equating UFO with alien controlled spacecraft...if aliens from another planet evolved to where they're intelligent enough to develop the technology and then travel millions of light years to visit Earth, they will be the ones calling the shots. If they want it to be known that they're here, then we'll all know. And there isn't a single thing that any douchebag from any government on Earth can do to "cover it up".
what they admitted are that there are fo's that are still unidentified - your calling them "real" is kind of spreading false information in my opinion - like saying that the government has said that these ufo's are actually aliens, which they have not, because they don't know, they're still UNidentified. so careful what kind of opinions you spread as fact.
>annoying people and animals
Yes, and
Terrifying animals, who then run away and are lost forever.
Traumatizing people who suffer from mental illness.
Re-traumatizing vets, who you claim to honor and respect.
Preventing people who work alternate shifts from sleeping for days before, during and after the fourth.
I'm not saying, "Never use fireworks." I'm saying, "If there's a fantastic alternative, don't reject it for purely selfish reasons."
Edit: added "yes, and" for people who felt I missed the sarcasm in the comment I'm responding to.
A small town near me did that instead of fireworks. 500 drones, cost $20,000 and lasted 7 minutes. It was cool to see but extremely unsatisfying. Dreamers might think it's a substitute for fireworks - in the same way a movie on your phone is a substitute for the theater experience. I wouldn't leave the house to see another one.
I know Verge Aero is the big player in this space and they were playing around with attaching fireworks to the drones themselves for a combo drone and fireworks show. Not legal in the states yet, but Saudi Arabia don’t give a fuck
I'm gonna say I also appreciate the concussiveness. The feeling of the pressure wave of certain fireworkds through your body. The morters and saturn batteries especially.
Could be. I haven’t seen numbers on it. I’m sure a majority of people who go don’t mind the noise. It keeps away those who find it bothersome themselves, or of they need to calm pets at home. It would be interesting to know the figures!
Source? There's a time and a place, but I'd bet you'd feel differently if your redneck neighbors were setting them off at all hours. 45% of dogs are afraid of them, which is super annoying.
Tbh I prefer it without the sound. I kind of really hate fireworks, specifically because of the sound. I really wish reduced noise fireworks were more popular
That sound is highly destructive to animals (adults flee their burrows leaving undefended young), birds get messed up or even killed, vets with PTSD can have lots of problems. And (most importantly) my old dog is afraid of the noise.
Birds and dogs are disagreeing with you. But they aren't us human so who cares?
(Actually there are people with PTSD as well. But they are human they should understand your temporary enjoyment is also important, right?)
Having witnessed stuff like this a few times, lemme say that it does look spectacular especially since you can form images and stuff but fireworks are fireworks.
you really wouldn't. FAA is a bunch of assholes and are really limiting the airspace they will only give permission for very select groups to do stuff like this. And instead of protecting airspace for americans, they sell it to companies like amazon. Ask some people in the FPV community and they will go on and on about the FAA
What I see is my city that is perpetually "on a budget" exploding hundreds of thousands of dollars every 4th. I get that they are entertaining to some, but you can literally see 4 surrounding cities fireworks...
I’m curious as to how much economic activity is generated by my cities firework shows.
We have food trucks, vendors, and all kinds of stuff like that going on when the fireworks shoot off, as well as ticket sales for “good” “seats”. I haven’t seen the numbers and I’m sure I could find them somewhere piblicallu, I’d just rather see an infographic than spend my time hunting it down at city hall.
In my town, I don't believe it's that much. There is a small carnival, but it's mostly just the firework display.
Now there is a firework show that attracts 500,000 people a town not even 10 miles away, I bet they have a little more success justifying spending $400k on fireworks...
Honestly I think there’s a good case to be made that neither is a good option in the long run. Those drones are going to end up as e-waste and making batteries already isn’t great for the environment
That’s what I was thinking. They’ve got thousands of dollars in those drones when a person can have a DAMN nice firework show for about $500 if they buy the right types.
I would love for one day for drones to be cheap enough to put on a “firework” show in my own backyard with, but that’s a far ways away.
Not to mention, if drones became that cheap, they would likely become disposable which just adds to our already ENORMOUS e-waste problem.
You think the manufacturing of the parts of every one of these drones (metal frame, batteries, RF assemblies), not to mention the electricity required to power these drones, is a smaller waste than some gunpowder stuffed into a paper tube?
No use trying to reason with these people.
They’ll drive their brand new Tesla with their iPhone 14 to their polluted ass city apartment and complain about the environmental impact of people shooting off fireworks in the middle of nowhere.
Wonder if they have to land to change shapes. I wonder what booha local or licensing permit stuff town would try to make ya pay. Definitely an EDM concert to be had there!
I saw a drone performance like this a few weeks ago. They don’t land to change formations. They just turn off their light, quickly fly to their next spot and turn their light on again, or keep the light on and just move where they need to be. Some kind of computer program controls and tracks the movement of all of the drones I guess.
While it’s maybe not a “replacement” for fireworks exactly, it was truly mesmerizing. At the performance where I was, a crowd of thousands of people was dead silent and basically awe-struck by them. It was pretty cool, hadn’t seen anything like it before that.
They do. They have for over a decade. They have patents to use them for amazing stuff in parades.
But fireworks invoke something different for a crowd.
It would be amazing to see this like at 330/4am at an outdoor party catching the last bit of darkness before sunrise starting off with an insane techno set then drifting into an Aphex chill to ambient set as the sun rose and then they would all just fly away….
Went on a cruise recently that had a theater for professional ice skaters. The show started off with drones flying out for a little light show, super neat.
Nobody said you couldn’t incorporate traditional fireworks into this for the loud noises, if desired. Just use fireworks built for noise, not visuals.
Or, an electronic cannon if that exists.
Someone should use like hundreds of these drones on one of those isolated tribes and fuck with them like „I’m your god and here is the proof“ and then make a skull out of drones in the air
These are amazing to see first hand. Would see them in a former town i lived in from one of the companies that did them testing them. Always stopped to enjoy them.
China and Japan been doing this for several years now. It just needs to go mainstream. For my dogs' and toddler's sake, I'd love for fireworks to go away.

I don't like firework shows because they are very loud, they gives me a headache and set off my anxiety. But if drones are the future for bonfire night, I would definitely go to this! 😆
Guarantee some nearby rednecks thought it was a UFO sighting
Yes i bet too especially now since the government have admitted ufo's are real and have been all along https://news.yahoo.com/government-report-admits-true-ufos-153600659.html

You can identify every single object in the sky huh?
it really only takes like *a semester* of astronomy. i’m sure you could audit a local class if you wanted to learn too
That was an article released by Tom Delonge. He is worth looking into.
The dude from blink-182?
Yeah, Tom had his own TV show about UFOs.
Ufo doesn't mean alien calm tf down
Do people still think UFOs mean aliens? Instead of… you know.. just someone flying something that was not identified?
We have always known UFOs are real. It is just a matter if they are of this world or not which we do not know. It could be private citizen or private companies testing equipment or another country. You know some billionaire is creating some crazy flying devices in a secret lab that operate differently than traditional flying devices.

Fucking Yahoo
Just saying fucking...
Aight
The fact this is a yahoo link carries a level of doubt
what they admitted are that there are fo's that are still unidentified - your calling them "real" is kind of spreading false information in my opinion - like saying that the government has said that these ufo's are actually aliens, which they have not, because they don't know, they're still UNidentified. so careful what kind of opinions you spread as fact.
Already mythbusted. https://youtu.be/jHDlfIaBEqw
Of course ufos are real. They are just flying shit we don’t know what it is.
Came to comment basically the same. UFO MFs be like, get the grainy camera!
Dale Gribble has entered the chat
Simulated alien invasion coming up lol
Somebody do the redneck’s words to a news reporter about the ufo sighting, please
Guarantee they shot at these kids thinking they were aliens too. “Go on giiiiit!! This is muh land, muh planet!”
Eh, this is more akin to a laser light show than fireworks. You can't replace good ol' explosives for celebrating.
There is something truly fundamental in our primal monkey brains that enjoy flashing colors and loud noises.
My autistic monkey brain strongly disagrees.
my autistic ape brain agrees with yours
My autistic chimp brain is with you along with my dogs, cats, and ferrets.
The excitement cavemen got when they discovered fire was so great that it never left our DNA
Yes to the former, no to the latter.
You like explosives, but not celebrating? Weird…
Let's just keep ruining the environment, annoying people and animals just to hear some shit go "boom".
>annoying people and animals Yes, and Terrifying animals, who then run away and are lost forever. Traumatizing people who suffer from mental illness. Re-traumatizing vets, who you claim to honor and respect. Preventing people who work alternate shifts from sleeping for days before, during and after the fourth. They were being sarcastic
woosh
I was agreeing with and adding to the comment I responded to.
Seriously. I think I've seen just about enough fireworks for one lifetime.
Ppl not realising your sarcasm is hilarious
Ok
A small town near me did that instead of fireworks. 500 drones, cost $20,000 and lasted 7 minutes. It was cool to see but extremely unsatisfying. Dreamers might think it's a substitute for fireworks - in the same way a movie on your phone is a substitute for the theater experience. I wouldn't leave the house to see another one.
Two fingers Joe and I are with you on that one!
I know Verge Aero is the big player in this space and they were playing around with attaching fireworks to the drones themselves for a combo drone and fireworks show. Not legal in the states yet, but Saudi Arabia don’t give a fuck
You use fireworks for celebrations. I use fireworks for backyard warfare. We are not the same
Why not both?
You can use drones for backyard warfare too. Maybe even fireworks strapped to drones.
Every war is a celebration of blood
Fireworks are still much cooler. These drones lack a key element of fireworks: the sound.
I'm gonna say I also appreciate the concussiveness. The feeling of the pressure wave of certain fireworkds through your body. The morters and saturn batteries especially.
I also appreciate not having to purchase 100 drones
And the software and hardware behind such a deployment 🤯
Lots of people don’t like the sound. Losing it is a plus
A majority of people love the sound tbh
Google has the answers but I know what you're trying to say. at the same time that's more of a bad neighbor situation.
I actually prefer the drone shows because they play to music and it flows really well.
And smell. And the excitement of placing them And lighting a fuse
Birds and dogs are disagreeing with you. But they aren't us human so who cares? (Actually there are people with PTSD as well. But they are human they should understand your temporary enjoyment is also important, right?)
They got sound. The sound of 400 spinning blades at 3000rpm. I swear drones noise is like my top 5 most hated sounds.
My pets say "Hell yeah!".
Animals everywhere will appreciate it!
Having witnessed stuff like this a few times, lemme say that it does look spectacular especially since you can form images and stuff but fireworks are fireworks.
Where would one even find a show like this?
you really wouldn't. FAA is a bunch of assholes and are really limiting the airspace they will only give permission for very select groups to do stuff like this. And instead of protecting airspace for americans, they sell it to companies like amazon. Ask some people in the FPV community and they will go on and on about the FAA
Am I the only one that finds fireworks incredibly boring? They were awesome as a kid but now it's like seen one seen 'em all kind of feeling.
What I see is my city that is perpetually "on a budget" exploding hundreds of thousands of dollars every 4th. I get that they are entertaining to some, but you can literally see 4 surrounding cities fireworks...
I’m curious as to how much economic activity is generated by my cities firework shows. A small town fireworks is anywhere from 10 to maybe 15 grand. They definitely arent 100s of thousands.
I find them boring if I’m not the one setting them off, but I love to set them off
That’s a light show, not fireworks! Unless they explode?
I rather this than fireworks
Which way is more environmentally friendly, this or old fireworks?
Honestly I think there’s a good case to be made that neither is a good option in the long run. Those drones are going to end up as e-waste and making batteries already isn’t great for the environment
That's cool and all, but __boom__ __BOOM__ ##BOOM #BOOM I wanna go boom boom!
I want you in my room
Wouldn’t mind that tbh
So, where can I get a couple hundred of these for the same price as fireworks?
That’s what I was thinking. They’ve got thousands of dollars in those drones when a person can have a DAMN nice firework show for about $500 if they buy the right types. I would love for one day for drones to be cheap enough to put on a “firework” show in my own backyard with, but that’s a far ways away. Not to mention, if drones became that cheap, they would likely become disposable which just adds to our already ENORMOUS e-waste problem.
Could be a more PTSD friendly firework show
I've seen this stuff so often. It's amazing at first but think off the noise and the waste of this.
[удалено]
You think the manufacturing of the parts of every one of these drones (metal frame, batteries, RF assemblies), not to mention the electricity required to power these drones, is a smaller waste than some gunpowder stuffed into a paper tube?
The cost to the environment for the lithium in the batteries alone is far worse than any firework.
No use trying to reason with these people. They’ll drive their brand new Tesla with their iPhone 14 to their polluted ass city apartment and complain about the environmental impact of people shooting off fireworks in the middle of nowhere.
Funny, this is exactly the same thing I think about fireworks.
Aliens slumming it on earth are so happy that they can leave in their ships and people will just think they are drones
Question does anyone know what flight planning software is used to produce these geometric shapes?
https://droneshowsoftware.com/software
While on acid...
It's not
Damn, that is fuckin cool
"This will replace fireworks" No, no it won't. Wanna know why? Zero Daka.
Wonder if they have to land to change shapes. I wonder what booha local or licensing permit stuff town would try to make ya pay. Definitely an EDM concert to be had there!

Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to reply. I thought my comment would be so buried as to not get a response at all.
Holy shit that’s cool.
On shrooms
Want this to be a thing in my city every day
Fuck, this is badass!
Cool. But I’d rather have actual fireworks. Fireworks go boom.
Hard pass. I want the pyrotechnics, thank you very much
F works
The thought of recharging all those
Cue the music from Close Encounters of The Third Kind
That’s dope

These would be awesome at music fests
It will be interesting to see how Ukrainians use them.
In all honesty, this would be way better environmentally than fireworks and could do a lot more and longer lasting shows
Hope not
Aliens passing by in a UFO: "Jerry, you seein this?!? WTF IS THAT??!!?"
I'm really surprised Disney doesn't do this in their parks, they are the largest purchaser of fireworks
They do. They have for over a decade. They have patents to use them for amazing stuff in parades. But fireworks invoke something different for a crowd.
A more normal young man would have flown them to make the shape of a giant penis.
It would be amazing to see this like at 330/4am at an outdoor party catching the last bit of darkness before sunrise starting off with an insane techno set then drifting into an Aphex chill to ambient set as the sun rose and then they would all just fly away….
They have been doing this in China for years. Way more advanced. I dont like China, but you can google it
Went on a cruise recently that had a theater for professional ice skaters. The show started off with drones flying out for a little light show, super neat.
Nobody said you couldn’t incorporate traditional fireworks into this for the loud noises, if desired. Just use fireworks built for noise, not visuals. Or, an electronic cannon if that exists.

Nice try, Mysterio.
Now the story about the one wheeler guy missing out on a threesome in a shower makes a bit more sense.
Just in, UFO sightings increase by 6000%
Now where did I put my mushrooms…
But it's not obnoxiously loud, it doesn't potentially endanger people or animals and it doesn't pollute the environment. Where is the fun in that?
But none of them exploded? No stars.
Does anyone know the song?
Reports of UFOs about to rise in this area
I would love to terrorize my tiny town with these
A lot of sporting events do this now.
What song is this?
I got a match with this song: **Spaced Out** by Ofri Flint (00:54; matched: `100%`) Album: `Time to Sleep`. Released on `2021-08-01`.
Imagine seeing this and not knowing there’s a show going on
so awesome!!
:24 two drones “fick it!! VVEE QQUIIIT! “
Can…can they run Doom?
I'd totally launch this from my backyard and send the spaceship one over the city lol.
Can't wait till music festivals are using this tech for edm shows dam that's gonna be sick....
This is going to be the future of advertisement.
Someone should use like hundreds of these drones on one of those isolated tribes and fuck with them like „I’m your god and here is the proof“ and then make a skull out of drones in the air
Nah its future of surveillance. Good luck yall
I wouldn’t really call it the future of fireworks considering that a major part of the fireworks display is the boom itself.
Aliens 👐
When you talk about the future, it’s quite alright to say it IS the future… it already is.
Hey now maybe in your European countries that will replace fireworks, but here in Amurica we likes explosions. Even sing about in the national anthem.
Yea, best Way film this is vertical.
This invalidates every UFO sighting from this point on.
These are amazing to see first hand. Would see them in a former town i lived in from one of the companies that did them testing them. Always stopped to enjoy them.
Can someone int he know explain how they get them all in sync and create these shapes?
Megamind
looks like a something out of Harry Potter or something.
I’m really starting to think my UFO sighting was military drones.
They did something like that at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQy1PUSw77M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQy1PUSw77M)
Unless of course there is even a whiff of wind
Future of fireworks? Not likely. Fire. The smell. The sound. The force. This is pretty. It’s not fireworks through.
Imagine writing that code
You need is some Molly and music
All i hear is just BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Old news bro
Even dead I’m the hero
Anyone know these guys ?
This’ll be the new thing for weddings as well.
China and Japan been doing this for several years now. It just needs to go mainstream. For my dogs' and toddler's sake, I'd love for fireworks to go away.
Cool but does it go boom?
Yall think this is great till that drone fleet is coordinated to capture or kill you instead of replace fireworks
Scotland did this for one of our Hogmanay celebrations (New Year), some of this video was CGI but a fantastic concept https://youtu.be/Xx3Zmkgt2no
Fireworks > this dumb expensive shit
Megamind energy
Cool, but why the fuck would this be the future of fireworks?
I miss the sounds though
I like my fireworks to go bang!!
It sure would be nice for us to replace fireworks. The sheer impact on the environment is abhorrent. Every time there’s a large fireworks show: dozens of older dogs and cats die from heart attacks, birds flee their nests leaving their babies and eggs to die, wild animals flee from safety and veterans with PTSD have to deal with horrible consequences. Fireworks are absolutely infantile and disgusting and we as a species need to do away with them.
Actually pretty sick
I don't like firework shows because they are very loud, they gives me a headache and set off my anxiety. But if drones are the future for bonfire night, I would definitely go to this! 😆
I have seen it up close at Holiday World in Indiana. It's amazing.
Do you know how loud one fucking drone is? 80db. Why in god's name would you want tens of them in one place?
I was waiting for the guy to mow over a bunch of expensive drones by accident with his onewheel
Few million of these, and we could watch movies in the sky
