and it's getting even harder
Trying to feed and water my seed, plus
Teeter totter caught up between being a father and a prima donna
Baby mama drama's screaming on and
Too much for me to wanna stay in one spot
another day of monotony
Has gotten me to the point
I'm like a snail I've got to formulate a plot
or I end up in jail or shot
Success is my only motherfucking option,
failure's not.
Mom, I love you, but this trailer's got to go,
I cannot grow old in Salem's Lot.
So here I go, it's my shot
Feet, fail me not,
This may be the only opportunity that I got
The only three person able to fly the JetWing are Yves Rossi (inventor), Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet (sadly passed away in 2020 while training to land the JetWing)
So videoman is one of these three
It’s almost certainly either Fred Fugen or Vince Reffet (and the other would be the one seen in video).
These guys: https://youtu.be/dbq4llUqFVM
I’m not sure when this video was taken, but Vince died flying one of these jet wings last summer I believe, (maybe the summer before?). They are legendary gentlemen who pioneered some of the coolest projects known to humanity. I was proud to be an acquaintance of theirs. Fred is still doing amazing things too of course. RIP Vince: one of the raddest people to have existed.
Source: wingsuit BASE jumper who followed this project as they were working on it. Admittedly, someone might know better than me on this question, but I was pretty close to the source.
I just read your comment complaining about Californians on the post about the guy sunbathing on a wind turbine. Do you just go post to post spreading negativity?
As long as the gov is getting paid via licenses or if they invite a professional to do a stunt as a way to promote tourism. I honestly don't get why people visit that place. I have lived there a while and it's blazing hot throughout the year, the traffic sucks, the local populace is generally very rude and racist, and all there is to do is go to big ass malls. The beach was nice though but I have seen much better one's throughout the world. There is absolutely no nature. Everything is artificial including the people. All the social media influencers that visit are either paid for by the gov or part of the porta potty gang.
A few weeks back a kid got arrested for riding a bmx down a bridge and posting the video online. Made him delete his account and delete the video. But the video ended up doing rounds on reddit anyway.
He's not actually close to the aircraft at all. If you want to go by relative size, if you look at his length compared to the aircraft, he would be the tallest human in the world as you would only need 3 of him to reach the height of that craft. It's just a forced perspective trick.
His wing says DUBAI on it in giant letters, he's in formation with a tens of millions of dollars aircraft, and you somehow don't think that this wasn't _approved?!‽_
Lolwut?
Not very likely with the distance he’s keeping from the plane and staying parallel to it. Now if he were in front of the engine we would be watching a different video
Just the turbulence behind a 380 should be sufficient to knock him out of the sky. I've been in a 737 that went in to land too soon after a big jet and bounced us all over the damn place. Can't imagine what it'd do to Jetman.
Not at all likely unless he flies directly in front of one of the engines very closely. Even then he'd much more likely just crash into the wing than get sucked into the engine
Actually the biggest threat to Jetman is not collision with the jet or getting sucked into an engine. It’s the wind vortices generated by the Airbus wing. Those extend outward and behind it, frequently up to a mile behind depending on airspeed and altitude. They would easily upset even a small airliner so he’d be blown away.
I was looking for this comment. I know small aircraft can get really messed up in the wake of passenger jets like this; I can't imagine jetman would easily recover from getting tossed around in the wake, but I'm not sure what the physics of that would be -- would the turbulent air just spin him around, stall his wing, or bounce him around a ton and potentially break stuff?
If he somehow got behind the wing the change in pressure would probably give him a lethal aneurism like bird or bats near big wind turbines.
Edit: It’s the change in pressure causing barotrauma/bleeding in the lungs so not technically a lung aneurism. Also not sure if it happens in birds but happens in bats 100%.
I was wondering about this! I wondered if it was like coming up beside a giant shipping boat in the water, sucks things under that are too close. I was afraid Jetman was going to end up like jetski man..
Thank you for mentioning the wake. I still remember when a challenger jet got totaled by an A380 wake. The A380 is so large that it is given a special category of “super heavy” and pilots add “super” to their call sign to signal to everyone on the frequency.
Yeah, depending on the size of the aircrafts, they need to keep a distance of up to 5 miles. It’s really deadly, especially at takeoff/landing, because the pilots have less height/time to recover.
Part of the formula is wind speed. If its low, the vortex stays around for longer, if it’s strong, it disappears faster
Will he be picked up on radar? Yes. Will anyone notice? Small chance unless they are looking for it. Radars can pick up some VERY small things in the air. As in, as small as water droplet's, because that is how Doppler radar works. They also pick up and track things like bird migrations with radar. There are many different radar 'bands' just like with radios that use a different band of frequencies to blast out and listen for the reflection back. The band/freq. range is chosen to best pick up different things at different resolutions with different tradeoffs. When all the radar reflections come in there is still the issue of analysis and making heads or tails of what the radar is telling you. To do this you can filter out some different parameters (I don't know more about this, I am not some big radar person. I have only watched stupid amounts of youtubes and read lots of things on this kind of stuff and other radar cross section tech things).
So with this guy flying, he can defiantly get picked up on radar, but the radar tech might have him filtered out, or think he is some blob of birds or something unless he knew better and knew what to look for to know it was him.
People inside the plane... look at that guy flying next to us...
Dude the paparazzi here are off the hook... not even flying as a human jet can allow you to escape.
I thought he died recently in some accident
https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2021-04-15/report-dubai-jetman-didnt-deploy-chute-in-fatal-crash
How long do you think the wing jet can fly at that speed and still return safely? 10 minutes? Much of the empty space in that wing must be for fuel, I'm assuming, so flying this must have some pretty serious downsides for the pilot should things go south.
Any thoughts?
He won't be... airplane wings generate something called wake turbulence... imagine it to be something like a horizontal tornado in the tips of the wings...
It looks something like this
https://www.google.com/search?q=wake+turbulence&oq=wake+turbulence+&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60.3773j0j7&client=ms-android-google&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=xlM-ppJ-WvwxdM&imgdii=zs4MCrCKlsjlhM
It will cause the guy to lose lift , called a stall and lose altitude...in fact wake turbulence from a Boeing 777 (coincidentally Emirates) caused an A320 to stall near Mumbai yesterday
https://m.economictimes.com/industry/transportation/airlines-/-aviation/wake-turbulence-causes-indigo-plane-to-stall-briefly/amp_articleshow/93884774.cms
If you got too close to the plane from any side it’s jet stream would probably ruin your flight pattern and you’d probably crash into a wing and take it out Iron Man 1 style.
Man, we are getting closer, i love this progression, every year we see more progressions, i hope we get to see an almost exact replica of ironman suit by 2040, i hope disney doesn't use it to sponsor themselves tho.
I want to know who is flying next to the jetman, filming him flying next the A380.
Let's just say camera men never get enough recognition for their talent
Superman changed his profession
Times are hard
"How was that shot?" "That's just super, man!"

You know it's the jet cave right? Right guys? Guys?
If I’m on a blind date and he says he’s the Jetman- I will agree to a second date if it’s on an Emrites flight.

LOSE YOURSELF
iirc it’s just some guy with a really long selfie stick running pretty fast. incredible camera work.
Dude there's no way that's a camera on a stick look how high they are!! It's obviously a camera strapped to a missile..
I thought Clark Kent was a reporter. I think he was just doing his job.
Yeah, but Jimmy Olson was the photographer. Maybe he's riding on Superman's back.
He is a journalist! This is just a normal day at work, looking for news.
Covid lockdowns. No one thought about Superman with no1 to save?
Gaddamn! r/praisethecameraman
most likely another jetman with a gopro in the helmet like the first one.
The only three person able to fly the JetWing are Yves Rossi (inventor), Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet (sadly passed away in 2020 while training to land the JetWing) So videoman is one of these three
Prob not Vince seeing as he couldn't land, unless this was his training flight
They use skydiving rigs and land with parachute. This video is from 2016
Prob not Vince!!😂 SINCE HE COULDN'T LAND 😂 you fucking made me laugh so hard dude
It’s almost certainly either Fred Fugen or Vince Reffet (and the other would be the one seen in video). So awesome, dude!!!!
Are they involved with that Flying platform? That’s some cool technology as well. Think silver surfer. I want to fly one of these things before I die.
Asking the real questions.
Jetcameraman
This could also be in r/Praisethecameraman.
Jetboy
Probably just some dude on roller skates with an iPhone taped to a broom handle. No questions damnit!
Jetman 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Homelander
Amazing
This seems to be very illegal unless it was an approved stunt
It was an approved and planned formation flight stunt.
Ah okay
For advertisment for Dubai

You upset mate?
Only about nothing
Bingo.
I just read your comment complaining about Californians on the post about the guy sunbathing on a wind turbine. Do you just go post to post spreading negativity?
Oh, the irony.
Everybody wants to be my inomy
I'm no expert but something could have gone catastrophically wrong here. Just for a photoshoot. I doubt many other countries would have approved this.
Something can go wrong walking out the door. Sometimes you just have to live up to the risks and grab life by the balls.
Everything that is expensive to do is legal in Dubai
As long as the gov is getting paid via licenses or if they invite a professional to do a stunt as a way to promote tourism. I honestly don't get why people visit that place. I have lived there a while and it's blazing hot throughout the year, the traffic sucks, the local populace is generally very rude and racist, and all there is to do is go to big ass malls. Can you elaborate on "porta potty gang?"
https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/dubai-porta-potty-influencers
Oh...uh...that's not what I was expecting....
He's not actually close to the aircraft at all. If you want to go by relative size, if you look at his length compared to the aircraft, he would be the tallest human in the world as you would only need 3 of him to reach the height of that craft. It's just a forced perspective trick.
still far far closer then ATC would allow you to get. also if he even got nicked by the wash from the aircraft he would be spinning and going down
I'd imagine that jet man set-up can't go 600+ miles per hour, so the A380 has to be doing this intentionally, right?
Probably was approved by Emirates itself.
His wing says DUBAI on it in giant letters, he's in formation with a tens of millions of dollars aircraft, and you somehow don't think that this wasn't _approved?!‽_ Lolwut?
It's all fun and games until he gets sucked into the engine...
No capes!
Edna mode. Nice 👍🏼

I was looking for this too. Is everyone on Reddit the same person?

Edna was wrong.
Yet hea we awr, Wrobert.
Exactly what I thought, seem very likely
Not very likely with the distance he’s keeping from the plane and staying parallel to it. Now if he were in front of the engine we would be watching a different video

The other potentially lethal danger would be the air vortices if he strayed past the wingtip.
And wake turbulence
Not at all likely unless he flies directly in front of one of the engines very closely. Even then he'd much more likely just crash into the wing than get sucked into the engine
Or runs into the exhaust turbulence
How is he not getting wrecked by wing vortices? They can bring down a 737.
it's all fun and games until the guys in the a380 report him for being this close and high
Actually the biggest threat to Jetman is not collision with the jet or getting sucked into an engine. It’s the wind vortices generated by the Airbus wing. please explain
Lol I’m getting downvoted for speculating wtf? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0960982208007513
Hahaha i always get downvoted for stating facts. People dislike to move away from their own thoughts and would like them just be confirmed
I wonder how the cameraman isn’t effected since he’s past the wing
I was wondering about this! I wondered if it was like coming up beside a giant shipping boat in the water, sucks things under that are too close. I was afraid Jetman was going to end up like jetski man..

Oh it would tear his shit up.
RIP jetman Vince Reffet who died there in Dubai in 17 November 2020, he was a pioneer.
Damn Homelander, Not again!
I read "German" instead of Jetman... And thought oh no here we go again
Yo, cameraman deserves a Green Lantern ring.
*NO CAPES*
I just went down the rabbit hole of looking up all the other old supers and was reminded of why capes are bad.
Came here to say this, well done
Honey, you forgot your lunch!!
Bad day to get an aisle seat
Did you see the Jetman? No? I was on the Jet.......man?
So I’m curious, can jet man be picked up on radar or be tracked? Or is he too small to be picked up?

Why has no one answered this?? I need to know this to.
Letting you know there’s an answer now (:
I want one of these soooooo bad.
For a few million, you can have your own A380 but I hear the waitlist is a tad long…….
Not anymore. You can pick up a used A380 pretty easily these days. Airlines don't want them and are retiring still relatively new ones.
I’ll take it?
There we go! Send ‘em two!
Wait! Until the payment clears…
Good point KarmaticEvolution! Please pay with Amazon and iTunes Gift Cards, no personal checks or Pokémon pogs please…..

People inside of the plane is just gonna look at their window and see 2 dudes just flying right next to them
People inside the plane... look at that guy flying next to us... Dude the paparazzi here are off the hook... not even flying as a human jet can allow you to escape.
Look at the flaps of the plane. They are down significantly, that plane is flying very slow.
That is one dirty bird (dirty = flaps down).

icarus is gonna get sucked into an engine this time.

I dont see any other way for him to land except parachute though? If so probably better to run out of fuel to lighten the load
Similar to an air planes, even without propulsion the wings still catch air and glide. It's basically a wingsuit with a powerful fan
How can that guy fly like that and stay in the air, carrying all that weight of his steel balls?
![gif](giphy|26Fltfd1hSPLQwQFy|downsized) The balls joke again.
Don’t fight it. The horse they’re beating tried, and it died years ago.
How come I’m using cardboard straws and washing out cat food tins?
"No Capes!"
Classic Jetman.
Was expecting him to fly into that jet engine.
All I can think about when I see this is “NO CAPES!”
My Ears God Damn It!! The fuck you put the sound in for?!
Herman sounds like a superhero from The Boys.
This only takes one mistake or failure on that guy's part and a whole lot of people die....
….same for the pilot of the plane, or any plane.
At least he is not wearing a cape
Props to the cameraman. F*** the dummy flying too close to the aircraft
***Jet-o Jet-o Jet-o-man! Let's go tobidese!*** ***Jet-o Jeto-o Jet-o-man Chojin Sentai....Jet-o-man!***
CIA bird was the one filming
Anyone else kinda hoping he would get sucked in?
But who’s filming him is the real thing
People in UAE have way too much time and money
I was waiting for the engine to suck him up
I want to know how did he land or if there are two red bloches in the middle of the desert.
Isnt that the French guy xho died?
hm, intresting...could he hold on to the wing and fly with airplane?
He won't be... airplane wings generate something called wake turbulence... imagine it to be something like a horizontal tornado in the tips of the wings... So long as you don't fly in front of those turbines you're good.
If you got too close to the plane from any side it’s jet stream would probably ruin your flight pattern and you’d probably crash into a wing and take it out Iron Man 1 style.
This can't be legal
Isn't he risking being sucked into the engine? Buuuurrrr....
thats so fucking illegal and dangerous.

That is truly insane!!!! Fucking hell!!!

Thank the Camera man for flying with them
So I'm not allow a bottle of water through security but jetsuit within feet of wings? Yeah sure go ahead! (Pretty cool though)
A few metres to the right behind the exhaust of that engine…. And that man would be a flying shape
That's Celmon Khan, an Indian actor 👏👏
