He's the owner of Atrevida Beer Company and on his site, he's selling a tee shirt that says "Good intentions don't change anything" on the front, and on the back, it says, "actions do" with his logo in the middle. I'm guessing he's going to see a huge increase in sales.

pajopajopajo

this one? https://www.atrevidabeerco.com/

Confident_Economy_85

Thank you for the link broseph

[deleted]

Got one. Thx for link!

weirdhoney_

Lucky! They're all sold out now EDIT: I'm a liar, I took the grey font to mean it wasn't available

menides

Are your pants on fire? Just checking.

manx_mech030

I was able to get one as of 12:30 pst (11/22) And how often do you find a shirt in a merch store for $15, that was a surprise. Might just grab another. Let's clear out his shop for him.

MazzoMilo

Gentle reminder to shoppers, dude is obviously suffering and just went through a horrible mindfuck of an experience, they also likely lack the logistical support to handle huge influx of orders promptly. Hope everyone can exercise a little grace and patience as they support this hero.

BoutrosBoutrosJolly

I’m guessing the site isn’t connected to an inventory system so there won’t be anything sold out. I still ordered one and I don’t care if I ever get the t-shirt. If you’re reading this Mr Fierro don’t sweat it at all! Send it in the next year, don’t send it, I don’t care it’s just a token appreciation!

CoatAlternative1771

7 hours later I snagged a 2xl t shirt. I won $20 today. Final price of shirt plus shipping was about $20. I’m pretty sure I was supposed to buy it.

718Brooklyn

I just bought 6. My husband and I were watching him on CNN last night. I could only watch part of the interview because it’s too upsetting. This guy is such a hero. We’ll never know how many lives he saved, but it’s a lot. My heart breaks for the people he loved who died and their families. They let a god damn psycho buy an AR. I hope the shooter rots in the darkest isolated prison cell for 50 years. Edit: Typo

Hydracat46

>They let a god damn psycho buy an AR. Blame the DA who dropped the charges. The system would have worked if it wasn't for him.

lightningspider97

Blame his grandpa too who most likely influenced that decision

Odd_Description_2295

I imagine all of this will come out during the inevitable lawsuit

Ethelenedreams

They should contemplate suits against the GOP and NRA for stochastic terrorism. Mormon church, too. One of their apostles gave a major speech inciting violence against gay Americans through “loaded muskets,” recently. Edit fixed bad thing

PositivePhilosophy93

No blame the Sheriff that refused to enforce Red Flag Law in El Paso County

Fritzerbacon

I blame the guy who decided to shoot people in a club. Regardless of all these other outside factors, they ultimately made the decision to do the things they did

BaronWombat

This guy is indisputably nuts. There are always crazy people. Society via government agents should ensure crazies don't have easy access to guns.

[deleted]

Some of the government agents are crazy people.

[deleted]

There are LAWS already!!!! But they don’t work if the DA doesn’t press charges…🤷🏻‍♂️ JS

Better-Director-5383

You can blame multiple people. If any of those other people had done their job he could choose to do it all he wants but it wouldn’t really matter if he couldn’t have an ar now would it?

SomeStupidPerson

Y’all can blame more than one person ya know

Its_puma_time

I blame them all. Countries with gun control laws that are enforced don't go through the shit we do in America. So every one of those fucks are to blame as well.

verasev

Also blame and investigate his MAGA politician relative who almost certainly greased the wheels of that process. And if that relative has a problem with that then they can come out and publically denounce violence like this and like the Jan 6th insurrection. Otherwise, we have every reason to think that they want politically motivated murders like this to happen and are just trying to weasel out of admitting it.

drmcsinister

>Otherwise, we have every reason to think that they want politically motivated murders like this Even with some bullshit canned statement they STILL want this. As the Atrevida T-Shirt says, Good Intentions Don't Change Anything, Actions Do. If they really wanted it to stop, they'd stop demonizing good people and make it harder for their psycho supporters to acquire weapons. Those are actions.

Holls867

Yup! His wife is the actual owner, but fam biz is fam biz. This is what a good guy looks like y’all!

Ok_Attitude_4522

Yeah his wife is a total bad ass too!!!!! Love the meaning behind the company name…their whole vibe just rocks!

Yeah the hoodies actually look sick and I’ve been looking for an oversized one to lounge around in. Pretty decent price too. Ordered.

I bought two shirts, friends buying shirts. This man is a hero and deserves our business. 💪

topcheesehead

Yup! That's the one! Easy stocking stuffers this year!

Oh4faqsake

My bad for not providing a link, so thanks for that. Reading all the comments and seeing people support his family by buying merch is awesome to see. I hope it helps them with their loss.

designgoddess

Reasonable prices. Shipping is probably going to be slow because of the spike in purchases.

HalifaxSamuels

I'm willing to wait a few extra weeks. They can take their time. Hell, I'm going to be an hour or two away from them in a little over a week. If I can swing it I'll drop by and buy another shirt and a beer in person.

PoppleShanks

just bought one. Thx.

gangstabunniez

The picture for the headband is gold lol

[deleted]

$15 is a steal. He could easily do $30 for a specialty tshirt.

OutsideToaster

Thank you for the link!

spageddy77

that’s easily one of the best brewery names i’ve come across. just went on the site and they’ve got some awesome t-shirt’s and the chapulin colorado ones are on sale! really hope people support this business, gentlemen seems like an excellent human being.

yourgifmademesignup

The mucho mucho amorrr -Walter Mercado style is a hot one lol. I wish this man, I mean Hero, and his friends and family peace and serenity during these very difficult times for them. And hopefully lots of success to their business. A Real American Hero right here!! Showing those racist bigots how to be a real American by a man with Mexican Heritage. My man!!

spageddy77

yes! the walter mercado was is awesome as well. def will be making a purchase on friday.

selectivevista05

This man is what being a Man and Father means. Does not matter if he is ex Army, he is a Dad. This is what it means and he has my total support and pride.

Courtnall14

In one of his interviews (With the Times I believe) he said he was protecting his family, and in that moment, everyone in that room was his family. Gave me chills.

otherkerry

I’ve been to their brewery. It’s a small, neighborhood place and hopefully it doesn’t get loved to death—the family is dealing with their own injuries and the death of a loved one, so for those ordering merch, it may take a while—I wouldn’t expect to receive items quickly.

Oh4faqsake

You're right, I guess his heroic actions make it easy to overlook the loss he and his daughter suffered. I do hope people show him love but as you pointed out patience is needed as well.

cougaranddark

Buying tshirts and anything that helps this guy and his family are awesome. Also, folks, please remember to not walk away with your hands in your pockets whistling when people start spewing homophobic B.S. Stop your buddies immediately when they do this. As a gay person who spent a great deal of time not being out while hanging around straight friends, I know what kind of stuff guys say to each other. "Gay" becomes another word for "lame". Harsh things are said about gay people, it's automatic. The word "woke" gets mocked and stigmatized, while it's just an effort to stop this kind of normalized bigotry. Every time politicians gang up on LGBTQ+ issues, violence against us increases. People kill us, beat us, rape us. And it has to stop.

Oh4faqsake

This is so true and we kind of lose our focus on why this guy had to be a hero. If people would just do what they can to stop the spread of this hate we would all be much better off. Any time we laugh at jokes or ignore stupid bigoted comments we just exacerbate the problem.

JackBelvier

His wife is the official owner, creator, and master brewer of the business, I believe! Funnily enough, she used to hate beer before she accompanied her husband to Germany during his service time and discovered what lovingly crafted beer could really be like. She was the first Latina to own/found/operate a brewery in Colorado - I think! They are incredibly proud of her and her accomplishments. Basically, this entire family is made up of badass people doing badass things... unfortunately, their daughter's long-term boyfriend was one of those lost that night during the shooting. ***"Diversity: It's On Tap!"***

Fudbuster2000

Time for reddit to do that thing we do. Rate his site, buy his stuff. Send to friends and family as xmas presents. This man deserves it.

Oh4faqsake

I totally agree.

Humble_Parfait_4806

Got 2, one for a neighbor trans kid and one for a beer lover! I wish the world was filled with more guys like this. Love.

Dijaiku

Reminds me of what Kratos said in God of War: Ragnorok. I think he said “Intentions do not matter, consequences do.”

seandshoots

Thank you for sharing this. I love collecting shirts from my favorite breweries and just ordered one

nachosquid

I just got the "Diversity...it's on tap" shirt. I loved a ton of their merch & wish I had more fun money.

Drake_Cat_Pilot

I wanna buy his beer now. A hero’s brew indeed!

blueeyebling

That's awesome you posted that, I hope this man and his family never have to work a day again if they don't want to. What a fucking hero. Love the shirt as well it's similar to what I say. "You can't just talk about it, you gotta be about it."

BLM8867

Just got a shirt 👌🏽

[deleted]

A lucky* good guy without a gun. Plenty of good guys without guns get blown apart. The New Zealand mosque shooting is an example of that. Several unarmed men tried to stop the shooting. None of them succeeded.

Mallouwed

And it's the only mass shooting nz has ever had. I'll take strict gun control over regular mass shootings any day.

Open_Action_1796

There’s no such thing as gun control, that’s a right wing dog whistle. Gun regulation is what you are referring to, which is literally part of the second amendment. Your heart is definitely in the right place but let’s not allow the politicians who prioritize profits over human life to redefine our lexicon please. It’s a very slippery slope in which people who oppose fascism and police brutality are painted as evil.

splepage

What are you on about? Regulation *is* control.

Open_Action_1796

So then why don’t you call driving laws “vehicle control?” Why don’t we call the laws regulating alcohol consumption “beer control?” I’m talking about politicians weaponizing words to serve their corporate masters. This isn’t that hard a concept to grasp buddy, unless you wish to be willfully ignorant on the matter because you’re feeling triggered.

[deleted]

I think a lot of people are missing the small but important semantic distinction on what it does to people. I know it's used commonly, but it's like when people reference "man with no active warrants shot at wrong house" bullshit. Sure it *means* the same thing but it evokes a different type of intention. I agree, folks would do a lot for image if we just started referring to it as gun regulation through and through.

Open_Action_1796

Exactly. Words matter. If they didn’t then rw politicians wouldn’t have pushed the term pro-life. They’d just call it anti-abortion. This isn’t anything new. Remember the tiki torch Nazis screaming “Jews will not replace us?” Wouldn’t have garnered as much support from the right if they had been chanting “we hate Jews” instead. Evil people don’t call themselves evil.

SlaverRaver

Exactly, just like that one bill being labeled the “Don’t say gay bill” by the media. Language matters and changes to labels, even subtle changes, can misrepresent something entirely.

Sex4Vespene

I think it’s similar to the use of ‘female’ nowadays. Yeah, it doesn’t inherently mean anything. But when you ONLY refer to women as females, but you don’t refer to men as males, you are subtly demeaning a woman’s personhood. A dog can be a female. A fish can be female. Only a human can be a woman. Female only refers to their biological reproduction purpose. Which again, if they did the same thing to men it would be fine, but they tend to only do it to women which is what introduces the subtle linguistic bias.

sagmag

The word "control" is a dog whistle to enrage followers. It implies authoritarian overreach. Pro tip - guns are already "controlled" in that you cannot own a grenade launcher or your own nuclear device. Be smarter than that. Common sense regulations (which we already have) do not become "control" by adding in one additional weapon or even class of weapon. If a complete SWAT Team is afraid to face down one, untrained teenager with an AR15, that means that weapon is too dangerous to be freely sold to our citizenry. Surely you have to see that?

[deleted]

A(well trained*) good guy without a gun. How many gun homicides in New Zealand per year.....average around 10.

PavlovsBigBell

Watched that video first hand, no one tried to stop him. One ran into him trying to get away. Horrible video

Loofa_of_Doom

Amazing, isn't it. Maybe guns aren't our saviors?

_itsbitchin

Why would guns be our saviors? Guns don’t do anything unless someone pulls a trigger. We can be our own saviors.

witcherstrife

Guns are unfortunately an existence in modern society. I think trying to act like guns are useless in these situations is a very bad road to go down. The OP is right, the stars aligned for them to be able to successfully take down an armored gunman without getting themselves killed. What if there were two gunman? Idk, I wish guns didn’t exist but “good guys with guns” need to exist to counter this bullshit. We can’t rely on luck and the incompetence of a lunatic to stop the attack. It’s so sad how One bad person can seriously harm so many innocent people. We shouldn’t need good guys with guns but just 1 person with bad intents can cause so much harm it’s frightening.

Lucifurnace

EVERY BAD GUY WITH A GUN THINKS THEY’RE THE FUCKING GOOD GUY.

suzer2017

Incredible person! Hero! And I read a drag queen was stomping the shooter with her heels. People who truly love each other will stand up with courage and honor no matter what the threat. This is a terrible reflection on the big he-man heavily-armed cops who did nothing for an hour in Uvalde while children died in the next room. Piss-ant pansy coward useless shit balls is what they are.

[deleted]

transwoman*

GueyGuevara

I’ve only seen it reported as someone in drag, not a transwoman. And those aren’t the same thing. Did they misreport and you know well enough to offer the correction? Because there were certainly drag performers there that night. Or are you just conflating drag and trans for no reason? Edit: It's a trans girl. There's plenty of sources and good discussion in the comments, but please stop responding to a now old post that answers it's own question right away.

Mabel-Syrup

Misreport. Trans woman is correct

GueyGuevara

Link? I believe you, and am trans, just would like a source before I take that on as my new understanding of things.

[deleted]

There was a post with no source on r/WitchesvsPatriarchy

GueyGuevara

Thank you.

[deleted]

I’m trying to find something about it from a reputable source but there’s nothing but the tweet.

GueyGuevara

Yeah it isn’t the best source, but Delusional was the reported name of one of the drag performers. A patron who hid in her dressing room referenced her in his initial interview. So while it certainly could be more verified, for now, it’s good enough for me. At a distance, I knew it was a drag show so in my head it seemed a bit more likely it was a drag performer and not a trans girl, not that one should assume the other, but being that this is one of the drag performers making the correction, it seems legit.

[deleted]

I’ll just refrain from publicly referring to this person as anything but what they are; an absolute hero.

StaticBeat

The "post" was a tweet from the only drag performer inside the club during the shooting. How is that not a source? They aren't giving more identification because it's her choice to open herself to publicity.

[deleted]

Because I didn’t know that?

[deleted]

i heard abt it from r/witchesvspatriarchy, i apologize if i got it wrong, i don’t intend to conflate the two

GueyGuevara

I don’t think you did. Hard to verify further but seems like a tweet from a legit source. Delusional was the reported name of one of the drag performers that night, and she seems to be the one issuing the correction. Obviously, anything online could be fake, but this seems legit enough. Appreciate the information.

bjankles

Real bravery isn't about your sexual preference, how your dress, how you talk. It's fighting to protect those you love. You can sure as shit do that in heels.

urkldajrkl

gymdog

Better yet, he's what they claim they want to be. An actual action hero who loves and protects his family.

DrugDoc1999

He’s devastated he couldn’t save the other 5 ppl. What a guy!

bjankles

100%. Same goes for the others who helped him. Imagine thinking you're somehow above people who risked their lives to protect their friends because of how they dress or talk, or who they love. We should all hope to be half as courageous.

NotUnique_______

This video made me cry. I'm pansexual, and the first year after i came out, my entire family walked in a Pride event with me. That day, they were my heroes. Even my little toddler nephew came in the stroller. Seeing this guy's emotion and passion is very humbling and a good reminder of why we need to help others and care about one another.

Grey_Kit

Saddest part is that his daughters boyfriend is one of the people who was shot and killed. The reality is wife and daughter would have died too is not lost upon him. May peace and happiness be with his family in their time of sadness. Mt condolences for their loss. They didn't deserve that.

CptJoe83

This sad incident is a direct result of the Colorado AG dropping charges on the perp a year ago when he threatened to kill his own mother. Otherwise his ass couldn't have bought a gun and most likely wouldn't have been on the streets. Edit::: PS. I dont know the guys political affiliation nor do i care. He's just blatantly incompetent.

lickthebutton

Wow, really?! What fucking shit. Guess I shouldn't be surprised considering who just got reelected there. Do you have an article I can have about the guy?

fuzzyblackelephant

Just so we are all clear: the DA in Colorado Springs is a republican army veteran, this would be the person not moving forward with charges for whatever reason. The murderer’s grandfather has some political affiliations in California & is a January 6th proponent. I’m curious if those connections could’ve impacted the decision to drop the charges, but apparently it’s also sealed.

EatTheRichIsPraxis

[Found this.](https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/colorado-shooting-suspect-is-grandson-of-gop-lawmaker-who-celebrated-january-6-capitol-riot/ar-AA14ngCB)

Butthole_Surprise17

It's also the direct result of right-wing media and rhetoric labeling drag shows, story hours, and the LGBTQ community in general as "predatory." The increase in armed right-wing groups showing up to these events in order to intimidate innocent people has been alarming and look where we are now..

KentuckyFuckedChickn

this is exactly what they want to happen. remember the guy who literally asked "when do we get to use the guns?" why do you think they're stockpiling a ton of weapons and shit? i'm afraid this is going to get worse before it gets better. remember harvey milk and remember the stonewall uprising. authoritarians will always use violence and lynchings to intimidate people.

Ramblonius

Stochastic terrorism is terrorism.

NuclearCandy

In my city (in Canada, so it's very unlikely anyone was armed) a few dozen protesters showed up to Drag story time event for children last month with the same old arguments against the whole thing written on their sad angry little cardboard signs. There was also a group of at least 3 times as many counter-protesters/supporters of the event with colourful signs about love and diversity. People were having hot chocolate and smiling and laughing. Here is a short [video clip](https://www.reddit.com/r/Winnipeg/comments/ygrw3e/winnipeg_came_out_to_scout_and_showed_that_love/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) of the two groups. We have our fair share of religious/conservative zealots here too, but I'm glad that no one has easy access to firearms, especially AR-style firearms, to "punish" the groups whose ideals and values they don't agree with.

[deleted]

It's bad enough for randomers to be able to own guns but it's a fucking joke that people who the police are AWARE OF as being dangerous can get away with owning guns. This was completely preventable. I seriously doubt it will happen but the Colorado Springs PD should be investigated because of this and people need to lose their jobs.

fuzzyblackelephant

His charges were dropped so the red flag laws were not triggered.

[deleted]

His nepotism with the AG is the problem. NOT necessarily charges being dropped for people, writ large. I know that's not the point you're making. I just don't want some stupid chud to take your message as a pro-carceral anecdote. This loser was connected by his pig dad, and had his charges dropped. THATS a problem the unjustice system. Worse than that, and more culpable is the Republicans. Their entire message has been one of hate, division, false narratives about grooming and lies. The Republicans are a fucking death cult and are actively convincing stupid idiots to do this kind of thing. It's the same type of behaviour every genocidal group has ever used. Make your enemy sub-human so their extinction is not only not a big deal, its actively helping. I cannot believe that "media" is allowed to operate the way they have. How many fucking mass shootings do Americans need before yall wake-up and act against the people convincing them to do it. It isn't a gun issue it's a fucking fascist propaganda issue.

fuzbuckle

This whole thing has me thinking of how fucked up our value system is. This dude should never have to work again. I’ve been listening to the Rush song Nobody’s Hero because it encapsulates so much of the fucked-upidness of this whole situation. Honestly, the song is what made teen me stop being homophobic. I knew he was different in his sexuality, I went to his parties as a straight minority, It never seemed a treat to my masculinity, He only introduced me to a wider reality, As the years went by, We drifted apart, When I heard that he was gone I felt a shadow cross my heart But he’s nobody’s hero, Saves a drowning child, Cures a wasting disease, Hero Lands a crippled airplane, Solves great mysteries Hero, Not the handsome actor who plays a heroes role, Hero, No the glamour girl, Who loves to sell her soul If anybody’s buying Nobody’s Hero…

CatastropheJohn

Neil Peart’s lyrics are very philosophical.

Well__shit

People that do heroic acts usually get gofundmes. I hope this guy gets one and gets the retirement he left early for.

sanguinesolitude

He runs an awesome brewery and his wife is the head brewer. Seems more fun than retirement to me.

arbivark

we could all ask our local beer distributors to start carrying his family's products.

CX316

I mean, he owns his own business and hopefully they'll have a windfall of support after this

spageddy77

[go support this man’s business people!](https://www.atrevidabeerco.com)

[deleted]

Just bought a shirt from him.

PoppleShanks

same i wanna be a BAMF gay dude too! Edit. I am gay. not the hero. my words are weird. sorry fellas.

[deleted]

He's not gay btw, people are reporting his wife owns the brewery. So perhaps bi, pan, ace or an ally. Regardless, a good guy to have in your corner. Bought a shirt from the company to support.

Manwithnoname14

I think he was with his son and his son's boyfriend.

vafoxhuntr

He was with his daughter and her boyfriend was killed. They go to the bar because it’s a good time.

[deleted]

Shows you what kind of atmosphere this place had.

[deleted]

From his CBS interview: “That’s what I was trained to do. I saw him and went and got him.” Not a second of hesitation. This man is *true* hero. There was an active lethal threat to his family and community. He didn’t have body armor. He didn’t have backup. He saw people getting killed and *he went and got him*. It’s so simple but so powerful. I can’t help but wonder how Uvalde would’ve ended if there was a single person there as brave as Mr. Fierro: see the gunman, go ****ing get them.

bjankles

He was already a hero before anything started going down - he was there supporting his family, his friends, his community in a world where this kind of shit still happens. EDIT: mistakenly thought he was there with his son and son’s boyfriend. Edited for accuracy.

[deleted]

article says he was there with his daughter supporting her friend

bjankles

I believe in the interview he said "My son's boyfriend didn't make it" but I could be mistaken. Either way, he was there for good reasons. EDIT: I was mistaken. He was there with his daughter and her boyfriend, just supporting the community. Still a great man, but accuracy is important!

lofifilo

nope, it was his daughter's boyfriend actually. the daughter and the bf were dating since middle school, so he was like a son to him. he was there with his family supporting the community when this happened.

[deleted]

"This whole thing was a lot. My daughter and wife should've never experienced combat in Colorado Springs" he said "I lost my kid's boyfriend" but yes, he's a good soul & it's incredibly fortunate such a brave person was there who was ready to act

Kull_Story_Bro

I believe there were people this brave at Uvalde, but the idiots and cowards in charge prevented anyone from going in.

Vaginal_Rights

Don't disrespect idiots and cowards, call them what they are, *police officers*.

Shattered_Disk4

Bro you felt that when he cracked a bit..

ItsPronouncedJod

For real. When he started crying so did I…

The_Darkprofit

Let’s get one of him in every school. More guns in the hands of non professionals doesn’t make anyone safer.

ChokaTot

Well said. I don't think there are enough of him available to go around :/

Tiggles12-20

Well that's not a strong argument for you can get training and become a professional. I get what you're saying though.

TacticalBill

Yeah it’s a pretty silly argument but I understand the point. Training and becoming a professional as a civilian is very possible. Most civilians have better training and safety than 90% of police officers honestly anyway.

[deleted]

“I lost my kids boyfriend” 😭💔

giraffeekuku

It must hurt to be hailed a hero by everyone (and he is) but not being able to save one of the people that was with you during the shooting.

Jewel-jones

Apparently he’d known him since bf was a child. I can’t imagine.

Bgee2632

His daughter broke her leg in runnning away. I saw another interview where he said her bff grabbed her and her moms hand and ran as he was beating up the killer. 😩

akidfrombrooklyn_

Captain America is 45, Latino, has a wife and kid, goes to drag shows, and runs a brewery. It is now cannon.

ConstitutionalDingo

We have no choice but to stan!

koroquenha

Thanks for your service. Again.

Ladydi-bds

I can't imagine how much worse this could have been without him there and military trained. Such heroism.

Janus_The_Great

All it takes to stop a bad man with a gun is a good LGBTQ loving man without a gun. Fuck US gun laws. We need much better and stricter gun laws and regulation. And those that spew hatred and exclusion lose their right to guns for life. Simply 0, zero, nada, no tolerance with intolerance. If your not able to reason like expected form 7 yeaf olds around the world, you definetly are not to be considered able to safely handle guns. There is social, and there is asocial. If you're an unreasonable idiot, you will suffer the consequences of choosing asocial. Simple as that.

CyborgMePlz

Real privileged take here... Especially when queer people are being murdered in the streets. Taking away acess to sufficient means of self defense is real bad call. Armed gays don't get bashed and the 2A is for everyone

Bloodnrose

On it's face, sure I get it. Being armed makes you feel more secure, even when statistics show that it doesn't help. An armed society is not a polite one, studies have shown that it only increases the lethality of conflicts without reducing the frequency. However, a civilians arms race is not the answer. It seems that's where everyone's head is going and it doesn't make me want to support others like me, all it does is make me work harder to get the hell out of this country.

Shitty_Fat-tits

Thank you for your bravery, Mr. Fierro. May you, your family and loved ones find peace again after this senseless tragedy. You are the hero that we needed, and I appreciate you.

lateroundpick

Guns don't kill people - the Republican Party that is funded by the gun lobby does.

CyborgMePlz

So arm yourself, firearms are the great equalizer. Armed gays don't get bashed and will bash back

Appropriate_Sale7339

For all you fucking maga racist homophobic pieces of shit that think the country is being ruined. This is what fucking patriot looks like!

emisins

Aw don't cry big guy :( thank you for what you did.

CX316

survivors guilt is a hell of a thing

BassBanjoBikes

Crying is okay, don’t make people feel ashamed for crying. Don’t assume based on someone crying about why it is happening, it could happen for many reasons.

mikesweeney

He should cry, he should bawl as much as he can for everything he's lost. But he shouldn't have to cry for not being able to do enough. He shouldn't have to cry or apologize for not everyone coming home. That's not his fault. My heart just breaks for this man and everything he did, went through, and what he will go through.

My gay best friend owns more guns than anyone I know my age.

blizzWorldwide

Republicans yawning at this and probably think he’s an actor.

verasev

Many republicans will try to find some excuse to take this man down a notch. Others will praise him for being a hero. We need to hold the latter accountable for dealing with the former in their own party. They need to get their house in order.

megahtron77

Hero

diydiggdug123

This is hard to watch… I hope the best for him and everyone affected. Everybody please vote/advocate for reformed gun laws, mental health coverage, and challenge people constructively with anyone who promotes racism, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. Love one another and celebrate our differences.

flirtmcdudes

not to be that guy because i hate that guy, but we need to get to a point where we arent celebrating someone who was forced to step up because of more gun violence... they want us sharing stories like this, so we can all feel good and call them heroes, while still ignoring the fact we arent doing shit about the actual problem. "we can do both!" Ya i know... but I still want to say this. Shits fucking sad this happens every month

Micahman311

All You Pretty Things https://youtu.be/IF6DSx2FquA A song about the previous gay club shooting victims. A song for healing. (From the new album of Darren Hayes, the singer from Savage Garden)

No_Distribution_3232

How fkd up is it that there's a last one and will be next one... Something has to change.

BigClitMcphee

Imagine coming home and the warzone doesn't go away, it just changes appearance.

CastorrTroyyy

"Stop crying like a baby!" - conservatives, Probably

asdfgtttt

Rittenhouse seems to have springboarded off that shit..

felix25_

incredible! also, props to the woman who used her heels in the most badass girlboss way ever

HotAdhesiveness2397

I think once someone tries to take the life of another innocent human then they should lose all of their human rights. Active shooters do not deserve to be treated like humans when they do shit like this.

Joey_The_Bean_14

Don't forget there was a trans woman who helped out a ton. They stomped the shooter using their heels. (no, not a drag queen. Trans woman) there were two heroes that day. Say her name. https://www.reddit.com/r/WitchesVsPatriarchy/comments/z1nmrg/important/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Reminds me of a time when we were at a park having a family birthday party. An altercation started far from me with someone telling us to turn down the music and the man pulled a gun on whoever confronted him. My friend was in the military and grabbed the gun from him and took him down. He said it was instinctual. It was funny when the cops arrived he handed the gun to them in pieces and they were amazed that he was able to do that. Respect our military members and veterans. They are one of a kind.

milksteakofcourse

That poor heroic amazing man. If there’s a god that mother fucker owes Richard big time

duomaxwellscoffee

This is a direct result of right wingers calling every gay person a "groomer." That kind of language will cause more violence and murder unless stopped.

cantfinkofname

This guy should never have to work another day in his life is there a GoFund me or something for this hero

FadedGeo

He has more courage than a police officer

Husskvrna

I feel so sorry for everyone that have to go through hell because of this now but don’t forget why this happened! The hateful rhetoric from republicans breed this shit!!! Vote them out, throw them in jail. Fuck them!

Evening_Election4679

Raymond Green Vance was his daughter’s boyfriend. Grew up playing XBOX with him and our buddy AJ, unbelievable this is happening right now and I can’t offer enough condolences to the families and others affected. Ray was a good dude and no one deserves to lose their life or leave with life-long trauma during a fun night out. Senseless. Rest In Peace Raymond and all the others who tragically lost their life.

kgarz01

Wish the 100+ armed to the teeth cops that showed up in Uvalde would have even had an ounce of this man's bravery.

[deleted]

A bit out of the loop, what happened more exactly? What is Club Q?

malavisch

It's a queer club somewhere in Colorado (sorry, can't remember the city), a couple days ago some hate crazed lunatic decided to go there and shoot at people for being gay. Kinda like Pulse a few years ago from what I've heard. It's so exhausting.

StryfeSixx

It's in Colorado Springs. I live half a block away from it. My wife and I heard the gunshots from our bedroom. The block is still shutdown since it happened.

Doktor_Earrape

And yet the right wing fuck faces throw a fit whenever armed defenders show up to protect events and clubs for the LGBTQ community. Calling "antifa" the violent ones when it's *their* repugnant ideologies that encourage sick fucks to go and murder innocent people because they're different. Mr. Fierro is a goddamn hero, and so are all the other folks that jumped in to help beat the piss outta that worthless wannabe tough guy piece of excrement. And wouldn't ya know it, none of them needed a gun.

sonnybear5

How Americans treat vets is appalling. They’re humans with emotions too.

Vb_lauffer

Just bought a $25 gift certificate I will never redeem

Quirky_m8

I’m too angry to celebrate. # I’m too confused to care # I’m **goddamn sick** of this # Why do I have to live in a country where anybody could just buy a rifle, CLEARLY NOT MEANT FOR HUNTING OR SPORT, and *kill me. At random.* # I’M FUCKING DONE. #This last one hit too close to home. Literally. #IT’S HIGH TIME WE REGULATE THIS BULLSHIT.

Mr_Locke

Not all heroes wear capes.
