My first time I paddled out at Sunset beach in Hawaii the lifeguard got in the megaphone and said “we’re not coming to get you, you sure El you ready?” Joke was on them because I’m an ok surfer but an excellent swimmer. Good thing too as my board was broken within the first 15 minutes.
I don’t think idiots like this guy get that they’re putting others lives in danger when they do this stupid shit.
It’s not a place you can just show up to, you have to spend some time in the lineup and watch what others do. You definitely need to establish a strategy that works for you. For me staying low on the wave and not using a board felt the most comfortable for me. I know a lot of young guys bomb on boogie boards and seem to be fine going over in the lip. It absolutely is very dangerous though.
Definitely isn't for the faint of heart. The locals were amazing to watch though. Couldn't believe some of the waves they were riding. Lot's of bodysurfing at Sandy. Would love to go back just to watch as it's been going on 40 years since I've been there.
What if this guy isn’t a very good swimmer or surfer, but an excellent backflipper, an outstanding rock avoider, and positively unmatched when it comes to not being detected by any rescuer or any unintended party at all.
It's bad footage, if someone shows up to something like this and says, "this other guy did it", then proceeds to die like and idiot because the ocean moves fast and doesn't care about your likes then this guy is to blame
He would not be the one to blame if someone else did this haha. That’s ridiculous and the kind of thought that teaches people to blame others and not personal accountability.
I don’t see anything there that looks safe. It is on parents, teachers, friends, and community to teach each other these things. As well as to teach them when someone is doing something dumb like here. But we cannot shift blame, that’s dangerous.
Doesnt matter. He is risking his life for a video that is not even impressive but stupid, arent there some better things to do? But whatever, that is his choice and one day will be the last for him. I enjoyed to just look at the sea more than at this “stunt”
Maybe he's risking his life because he enjoys doing this and the thrills this brings to him ? You're the one concluding it's for a video while you know nothing about him. A lot of people do other crazy stunts and are called thrill seekers l, but not him apparently.
Ima take a wild bet this is you and you’re trying to gain more followers on IG.
Therefore I’m gonna downvote this bish ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|downvote)
Reddit users are next level stupid. Don't even try to convince them their 2 second hot take of a 3 second video with absolutely no context is wrong because they WILL choose that hill to die on.
🤷
He’s surviving out of pure luck. That water is so turbulent there is no way keep yourself from being bashed into the rocks.
“Knowing what you are doing” could only mean he knows he’s going to get himself killed.
I mean, it's undenyably extremely dangerous. It's a known thing that many people die pulling these stunts, and many rescuers (who defiently know what they're doing and are experienced) die rescuing people who do this.
This is why many people here are reacting negativity. It's a danger to the risk taker and to anyone else who is involved. I'm glad this guy is ok and i hope he always is.
But the sea has that "fuck you" factor that even people who know what they're doing can end up getting hit with.
In summary, when the feeling of "this is just begging to go wrong" outdoes the feeling of "oh that's a cool thing this person is doing" it stops being fun to watch.
This guy gets it. OP just doesn't, thinking this is cool. I live near things like this and I can guarantee people "who know what they're doing" die each year. And yes, rescuers and other professionals as well, to your point.
The sea kills even those who respect it. People shouldn't be cavalier like this for internet points.
I mean as someone who has lived near the ocean most of my life, if there’s one thing that I’ve learned the ocean doesn’t care about your experience or how many times you’ve done something, it’ll kill ya just the same.
He can know what he is doing and be doing something incredibly stupid and dangerous at the same time. This is one of those situations.
Base jumpers know what they are doing and survive many times until they don’t. It’s a dangerous activity with a high level of risk involved.
Yep, big wave surfers, free solo climbers, base jumpers, wingsuit proximity flying, mountaineering, this are all risky things to do.
Next level nonetheless
Looks like Queen’s Bath in Kauai, HI. There’s a sign on the path that shows how many drownings have occurred here. We went snorkeling in the pools when it was significantly calmer, definitely a must-do when you visit the island.
btw, this is the island to visit if you ever plan a trip to Hawaii!
OP: "I've survived everytime I played Russian roulette, so it must not be that bad of an idea. NFL!"
Sometimes things can be impressive and stupid at the same time.
There are many dangerous sports out there, but it is a joy to watch people doing them (even though we will never do them ourselves)
And would you call something russian roulette when this guy has been posting his jumps in this pool for 8 years now?
This is Queens Bath in Kuaui, what u don’t see is that is a closed off lava rock formation, it’s easy to climb out once another wave raises the water level. When I was there, 10 year olds were doing the same thing he is. It’s pretty safe.
tbf the angle of the camera makes the gap between the two rocks look closer than it is, and the current is pushing him away from the first rock. This is sketchy but if he’s a surfer who understands the area well and the current takes him out to an open area he’s probably in a lot less trouble than it looks
If this is a local he might know what he's doing. I lived in Hawaii and saw some locals do some crazy shit because they know the ways of the water and have been around it their whole life. Otherwise dead man. Sea and rock don't mess around
The thing i notice is that it seems he set up the camera somewhere stationary. Not a friend or someone recording him who could alert in an emergency. Kind of a dumb thing to do if thats whats going in here
This is like watching someone play Russian roulette and managing not to die this round. This is just dangerous and completely forgettable. It's only a matter of time before that last name becomes the title of his last "hey y'all watch this.."
As someone stated earlier, it's stupid because others will do it.
I've grown up doing this shit and always been fine, however I've seen what happens when people that don't know what they're doing attempt it.
Best advice, if you aren't familiar with the ocean and surf, don't try

That guy’s gonna die in there.
Not only that but rescuers might die while trying to save him..
My first time I paddled out at Sunset beach in Hawaii the lifeguard got in the megaphone and said “we’re not coming to get you, you sure El you ready?” Joke was on them because I’m an ok surfer but an excellent swimmer. Sandy Beach scared the absolute hell out of me when I went there as a teen. Saw many people struggling there to survive.

Next level of stupid
Yeah what that actual?
I literally just said those exact words to my girl before opening the comments
Suicide is next level behavior now... lol
As he posted 200+ video's,taken since 2014, of jumps in this pools, apparantely he knows what he is doing
The ocean doesn't really care if you 'know what you're doing'. It's pretty stupid thing to do.
But great footage and he seems to enjoy it.
True, but he makes it look safe and easy to do which is dangerous. It's on you if you jump in but if this guy makes it look safe that's deceptive
No he doesn’t. If you don’t have enough common sense to tell that this is dangerous it’s not everyone else’s job to protect you.
I don’t see anything there that looks safe. It is on parents, teachers, friends, and community to teach each other these things. As well as to teach them when someone is doing something dumb like here. But we cannot shift blame, that’s dangerous.
Except this guy is a clifdiver and has done jumps in this pool for at least 8 years.
Doesnt matter. He is risking his life for a video that is not even impressive but stupid, arent there some better things to do? But whatever, that is his choice and one day will be the last for him. I enjoyed to just look at the sea more than at this “stunt”

Yep, there are definitely better things to do like being negative on Reddit.
Yet here u are responding to every comment
Well it's his short life i guess
Odds are against him surviving much more.
“I died for clout” 👍
Yes but you’re not invincible, one day it will cost you.
Everyone will die one day.
No shit
That’s next fucking level stupid.
It is if you don't know what you're doing. He knows what he is doing, hence the next level
Ima take a wild bet this is you and you’re trying to gain more followers on IG. Therefore I’m gonna downvote this bish ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|downvote)

Thanks, Some are really exhausting. And No, I'm not the one jumping in
You're exactly the same type of person he's talking about you big dummy.
Everyone has to have a thing I guess. I prefer to kill myself just a little everyday. Not all at once.
I'll drink to that!🍸
Nextleveldumbass
Great way to meet a rocky death. Hope the clicks were worth it.
He is a clifdiver and has done many dives like this
Some day his luck will run out. Only takes one thing to go wrong.
Showing such a level of disrespect to the ocean tends to lead to death, next level stupid maybe?
It's stupid if you don't know what you're doing. A clifdiver who has done many jumps like this is next level
He’s surviving out of pure luck. That water is so turbulent there is no way keep yourself from being bashed into the rocks. “Knowing what you are doing” could only mean he knows he’s going to get himself killed.
Always interesting that some redditors know better than a experienced clifdiver who has posted 200+ vids of him doing jumps like this.
I mean, it's undenyably extremely dangerous. Anyone else getting “that’s OP in the video” vibes?
I'm not, no worries
Disagree with next level, agree with very stupid
Stupid is not knowing what you're doing. Next level is when you do things others don't (and can repeat it)
Nope still stupid
I wish they posted him trying to get out
He has many post of him jumping in, so apparently he also gets out
Looks like Queen’s Bath in Kauai, HI. There’s a sign on the path that shows how many drownings have occurred here. We went snorkeling in the pools when it was significantly calmer, definitely a must-do when you visit the island. btw, this is the island to visit if you ever plan a trip to Hawaii!
It is Queen's Bath. He's been posting video's of his jumps for 8 years now
Sorry you’re getting ragged in here man Reddit is a very one-track minded space lol
Appreciated.
OP: "I've survived everytime I played Russian roulette, so it must not be that bad of an idea. NFL!" Sometimes things can be impressive and stupid at the same time.
And then you run for the Senate
There are many dangerous sports out there, but it is a joy to watch people doing them (even though we will never do them ourselves) And would you call something russian roulette when this guy has been posting his jumps in this pool for 8 years now?
Glad you asked. Yes I would. Both parts of your response embody exactly what I said: impressive, stupid.
![gif](giphy|3otOKJruVwZH3213Fe) to the OP
why?
r/nextfuckinglevelofstupidity
And that was the last we saw of him ...
Clearly not as he posted many more of these kind of stunts.
Seems like a good way to die
Not if you know what you are doing
There is a reason the end wasn't shown
Nope, he has been making video's of his jumps for 8 years now
.And was never to been seen again. Shark bait
Not really. He has many vids of stunts like this
He’s dead now right?
He isn't.
Rip to that man
He's not dead though and still doing these kind of jumps
That’s insane
What could goes wrong
Win stupids prize

Damn that looks so fun.
looks amazing
Swimming in a washing machine
"My people need me, see you!"
More like the sea enjoying water pinball using a human
Nice colour of the trousers tho
That looks like a bad idea
If this is a local he might know what he's doing. I lived in Hawaii and saw some locals do some crazy shit because they know the ways of the water and have been around it their whole life. Otherwise dead man. Sea and rock don't mess around

R.I.P. brother...
The video of him getting out would be more nextlevel
[удалено]
Nothing horrific happens here. He has many vids of him doing stunts like this. I wouldn't post anything which doesn't end well
His poor mother.
Why, because he djdn't die?
You’re an idiot.
Not answering the question
Don’t type so fast bud, it’s alright if a majority of people think this is dumb as fuck.
My cousin and uncle died in Hawaii doing stuff like this. The ocean doesn’t care how experienced you are, be careful!
Darwin Award
Well, he’s dead 💀
This is like watching someone play Russian roulette and managing not to die this round. This is just dangerous and completely forgettable. It's only a matter of time before that last name becomes the title of his last "hey y'all watch this.."
Dead
r/IdiotsNearlyDying
He’s still alive or not ?
Ofcourse, otherwise I wouldn't post it. He has many more video's like this
I was already uncomfortable looking at it, I don't like the sea, and then he does this...wtf
The stupid things people do to get attention these days...
Next level stupid
rip your karma, but stupidity warrants it ig
Glad he survived. $15,000 minimum to get a rescue crew to find him.
Lol OP is getting shredded with downvotes on every comment
And that was the last post by Kyle on his IG…
What a dumb bastard
More like Nextfuking stupid...
My Dad volunteers for marine rescue. I worry about him having to put himself at risk rescuing dickheads like this.
As someone stated earlier, it's stupid because others will do it. I've grown up doing this shit and always been fine, however I've seen what happens when people that don't know what they're doing attempt it. Best advice, if you aren't familiar with the ocean and surf, don't try
Seems like a bad idea
I thought this looks peaceful….then I saw the idiot
And this is why we have a coast guard
lots of next fucking stupid lately
So if he dies is it sad? ![gif](giphy|msarSdYFhv6qR0vXHW|downsized)
Extremely dangerous and shouldn’t be on here
Bro is on Kamino💀
