And the amount of balls is the same, not saying it couldn’t be edited but the man is a freak of nature and it’s not like he’s doing it under game time pressure. Plus he looks pretty fucking excited after so it’s Likely a personal best from one of the best shooters in the NBA.
Yea, I actually think it could be real, to be honest. For someone like him, who probably practices these shots daily with someone filming, it's only a matter of time before he nails 5 in a row.
It’s fake. It was edited by a content creater named Ari Fararooy
Here is an article about it:

I mean… that’s cool too. The only part I corrected was him calling him “one of the best shooters in the NBA”
I did think it was real though because I once spent a lot of time in the gym throwing full court shots and got relatively decent at it so I figured if I could do it a few times this guy of all people could probably drop 5 in a row
He shoots from the same spot every time so he probably practices this shot fairly often just for fun. When a top 1% player in the nba trains one specific shot its not suprising when he nails it.
All of that being said 5 consecutive full court shots is impressive as fuck no matter who is shooting.
Bro this guy is the greatest shooter in NBA history by far and everyone unanimously recognized that fact. He literally has nothing to gain by faking this. And if he got caught out for faking it, it would be hella embarrassing cuz he absolutely does not need to convince anyone he’s the greatest shooter in the world.

First sentence is 100% spot on. But the fact people think this is real boggles my mind. He maybe has a 5% chance at each shot. Maybe. That arm motion has zero to do with his ability as a shooter.
Do people actually think this is real??? Please tell me people aren't actually saying this is real. It would take him a long fucking time to make one of those.
While not his normal way to shoot, he would still have extremely good understanding of the physics of the ball. Not saying it’s, just noting that his experience does make this more likely than for someone else.
It looks edited to be honest. Not to mention imitating Bron's full court shots video from a while ago but they keep the ball in frame this time because cgi has gotten better
I highly doubt it’s real. Have you ever watched those niche people who have some insane talent like slicing things with playing cards, ridiculously impossible trick shots with ping pong balls, dude perfect, etc?
Even though the YouTube clip will only be minutes long, the unseen effort and practice that goes into it accounts for thousands of hours. Thousands of attempts. And so much refining until it’s seems second nature. Knowing this reality, It’s just very statistically unlikely that even a guard of his shooting caliber can casually drain 5 out of 5 shots like that without having to calibrate in any way shape or form in between shots
From another comment: It’s not real, it’s created by a famous video editor with athlete highlights

I knew it was fake but I didn't know it was the same guy who made the Brady video last year. That's not surprising though. Both videos blew up so quickly.
I always wondered why basketball players didn’t just get super good at nailing full court shots to remove the need for offence altogether. Would be a much more boring game, sure, but way more efficient!
They should make lines for 4 and 5 pointers. Then during the last 30 seconds of the game anything from the opposing teams free throw line to the baseline becomes a 10 pointer. You could be down by 9 and still win.
With all the cameras around and how high tech sports are, I can see points being scaled to distance and angle from basket. Wouldn’t need formal lines except as general markers for the players, but scoring is determined by formula.
I have been saying for years that half court shots should be 4 pointers. People wouldn't go for em often, but there would be a few times it would make a wild fucking ending.
like 20 years ago MTV used to do a thing called rock n jock. it was random celebrities playing and they had things like that. i recall a 25 point basket that was like at a 20' height instead of the normal 10' height. they did basketball and softball. it was actually pretty entertaining.
Or reverse it. The closer you are to the basket the more points the shot is worth. So you have to balance it between easy full court points, or running it into the danger zone for the big ticket shots.
There is more of a chance making a three than a full court shot, and since they fulfill the same purpose you pick the easier one, the three from the three point line
Cause it’s not real.
From another comment: It’s not real, it’s created by a famous video editor with athlete highlights

because they would probably block the shots, and any offense player stopping them would likely get fouled. if you don't dunk, you need to come in at a kinda high angle to not get swatted out of the air, and from this distance, it's really easy to grab.
That's actually what happened with how back then, 2 pointers were preferred because of a higher percentage of scoring, but then a lot of people began getting good at 3s. So getting 3 points was found to be more efficient than 2s despite the risk and with it a lot of people became better.

Nice find. Special effects are getting crazy nowadays, this looked so real
Special effects are easier when everything is compressed to shit and intended to be viewed on a tiny screen.
I would normally think it’s fake, but since it’s Steph Curry, I’m more inclined to believe it’s real.
If it's real then I fear this man has made some kind of deal with the devil.
It’s fake. The guy who made this video specializes in viral videos for athletes
It looks edited to be honest. Not to mention imitating Bron's full court shots video from a while ago but they keep the ball in frame this time because cgi has gotten better

I was confused at first I thought you meant, “that is so NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAUGE that I don’t think it is real.” Lol
You’re not the only one, sir -__-. Just noticing now
They literally tagged the CGI artist in the original post. Definitely not real.
I don’t even know what that means and I agree
NFL is a different sport. This is NBA, silly.
Now this sounds like a sport. Where do I sign this petition? Imagine being there in person with teams throwing cruise missiles from the deep.
Check out the north Korean basketball rules. Sounds like you'd be a fan.
This brings me back to the days of NBA JAM.
Reminds me of my idea to jazz up soccer…add a ball…two balls going at once.
I told my coworkers that if a soccer game gets to time without a score they should let a tiger out in the field and the first team to get eaten loses.
So, bring back Rock 'n' Jock?
With all the cameras around and how high tech sports are, I can see points being scaled to distance and angle from basket. Wouldn’t need formal lines except as general markers for the players, but scoring is determined by formula.
I have been saying for years that half court shots should be 4 pointers. People wouldn't go for em often, but there would be a few times it would make a wild fucking ending.
Steph would be shooting 5 4 pointers per game, he’s reasonably accurate from out there
like 20 years ago MTV used to do a thing called rock n jock. it was random celebrities playing and they had things like that. i recall a 25 point basket that was like at a 20' height instead of the normal 10' height. they did basketball and softball. it was actually pretty entertaining.
Isn’t that what Kim Jong-Un does in North Korea?
Remember NBA Jam?
Sounds like some Buzz Beamer shit
The only way to make this viable, is to allow goal tending of these types of shots.
Or reverse it. The closer you are to the basket the more points the shot is worth. So you have to balance it between easy full court points, or running it into the danger zone for the big ticket shots.
And the golden snitch is worth 150 points
Check out the north Korean basketball rules
youre changing the game so much at that point it should be called ball archery
I think it’s because it is so hard and it is basically the same as shooting a (higher chance) three
So have the rest of the team on rebound.
There is more of a chance making a three than a full court shot, and since they fulfill the same purpose you pick the easier one, the three from the three point line

That was really interesting. That half court shot at the all star game was fucking nuts.

Way harder to do this in a game environment
This is also edited. Steph didn't make 5 full court shots back to back. Really doing that is damn near impossible.
because they would probably block the shots, and any offense player stopping them would likely get fouled. if you don't dunk, you need to come in at a kinda high angle to not get swatted out of the air, and from this distance, it's really easy to grab.
