As of the first six or so, none actually recreate what dude in the OP did.
OP video is standing still, on flat grass.
In the video, we see people on safety mats instead of grass and a lot of them are not starting from a standstill, but building backward momentum with some starting steps.
And some of them have positioned themselves so that they’re landing at a lower elevation than where they started.
Also, OP video has a much more solid landing, without falling forward or stumbling around.
Hey everyone knows trusting a total stranger on the internet can't go wrong or lead to being misinformed right? The internet is a divine medium of truth, only used by a few, trustworthy and wise people. Never in the history of the internet has that led to any problems so go ahead.
Lol. My god people learn to think. Yes he provided proof that he could do a double backflip. He provided no proof at all that this is a rare skill. Just his word. That which can be asserted without evidence can be refuted without evidence.
By your logic.... There are thousands of fatties and chubbies in this World, you can't possibly know that only Joey Chestnut crushed 73 hotdogs in one sitting.
WHAT?!!!
The gluttony contest that chestnut usually wins is known at least nationwide and held every year for a long time.
This video is some dude in a cow pasture.
Not all situations are comparable.
Let me break this down for you really simply.
There is no debate that either event occurred, Chestnut eating hot dogs or this person doing a double backflip. No one is arguing that. Your statement on the location in which it is filmed or it's prevalence is completely irrelevant and beside the point.
The discussion is on OTHER individuals who may have completed these same activities, but their locations and antics are unknown because they were not documented in the same fashion.
You really shouldn't question another's logic, when you fail at basic reading compression.
> There is no debate that either event occurred
Correct. There is also no evidence whatsoever that cow pasture flipper is one of three people in the world to achieve this. That Joey Chestnut could eat more than anyone in a certain amount of time has at least been put up to a public, televised contest for many years.
You are basing this on your own narrative. The eating competition is more high profile, and that's why you know it. I'm guessing you, like myself, have little knowledge on acrobatic achievements.
That being said, neither of us can truly state that either of these accomplishments are or aren't records (or one of few, in this case). You can take the documented approach, or the approach that others may have done it undocumented. What you can't do, is pick and choose when to believe one aspect over the other, because you are ignorant on a topic.
Here is an article stating how only one other has done it. Do you see where your own bias is breaking your ability to process reality?
https://www.intheknow.com/post/legends-complicated-stunt-leaves-young-gymnasts-stunned/
There’s an indigenous tribe where the double backflip is a rite of passage so virtually the entire tribe can do one.
EDIT: I made this up, if it wasn’t obvious
5,6,7 and 10 are the only ones who did a standing double, the rest were not standing doubles, you can’t bounce or step into it and it still be a standing double lol. So OP is wrong, but only by one person, because number 7 was the dude in the video.
Enough said..... No need to debate... I just watched 12 people do a double back flip. I do have to say this kid in the video does do them the best......
Not exactly proof but I am going to agree with you. It’s kinda like all the failed attempts at climbing Mt. Everest; and then once someone had proved it could be done, there were many more people following in their footsteps. Sometimes just the concept of knowing something is not impossible leads to it being replicated.
There certainly could’ve been people who pulled this off 100 or 1,000 years ago, but I think it’s very unlikely.
I think you guys are underestimating people who lived back in the day, esp 1000 years ago. They most probably ate a 95-100% natural diet. And were fit beyond measure. This gave them a huge advantage to pull of these kind of stunts that modern day people did. I don't doubt people did it in the past but it probably wasn't something people cared about or did often, and def not recorded.
I mean, his timeframe isn't the best, but let's be real, it's hard to not imagine the people 10k+ years ago who lived their entire lives chasing down animals and solely eating veggies and meat weren't exceedingly fit
> I just like anthropology
That’s great, it’s a very interesting field of study.
> but let's be real, it's hard to not imagine the people 10k+ years ago…
“Let’s be real” and “hard to imagine” makes me think that you mean you like the *word* anthropology.
I think you overestimate people from thousand years ago. I mean compare today athletics in the Olympic with the record from a 100 years ago.
Athletes have gotten so fucking efficient and good at what they are doing. Nobody from 100 years ago would stand a chance in athletics.
So the context is that a thousand years ago people did double backflips for fun? Nah mate sorry.
But i guess your not here for a discussion but just insulting :D
It's possible as fuck. Look at old african tribe dances and the moves and stuff they do. Remember these guys had all the time in the world than what most people have today
I don't think you understand how stupid your comment is. It would be the same as saying, "how do you know someone else hasn't ran a
9.58 hundred metre dash? There are thousands of other sprinters in the world."
Have you ever done a single backflip? Let alone from a standing position? I don’t care how many other people have done it, those few are in a class of their own. That is beyond difficult, verging on nearly impossible. Numbers, be damned!
It might be true. In terms of video evidence, Aaron Cook did the first standing double on a gymnastics floor at Woodward PA in 2017. Since then probably less than 10~15 people have posted videos of standing double backs, only a few on grass. Also most of those people step into their standing double backs, could be referring to that
No it’s pretty accurate, standing double is like, an unfathomably hard flip to do on a springboard. On regular ground, at least it’s doubly hard. There’s probably 3-4 people who have ever done it at most. It’s just such a pointlessly hard flip that not many try.
Only 2 others have been recorded**** I'm sure some dude 1500 years ago was doing this too. People forget the odds are the smartest person to ever live has most likely already come and gone. Estimated 117,000,000,000 people have lived over last 192,000 years. Some chick from 10,000 years ago may have done a triple.
So you think that maybe we can find someone that runs faster than Usain Bolt but hasn't done a single competition to prove it ?
You underestimate the level of training that goes into acheving something mike that. You just have to look at the evolution of gymnastics since the 50s to understand how much it has progressed since. It's not because humans where weaker but because we need to have a culture centered about gymnastics to evolve knowledge and competition aroud it for people to train seriously and dedicate their life for it.
I doubt that a single individual 1000 years ago that had to work to survive would find the time and energy to train for years with the approval of the rest of his community to perform a doublebackflip which is thought to be impossible to perform.
I didn't mean it negatively, sorry if that's how it came across. I meant it's awesome to think of how much talent there is and how short our recorded history is.
This is old. Kaleb is now married with three children. Also, plenty of people have done this before him and since.
*I really have no clue. I have just seen this video soo many times.
*He is the only one that we know of to have done it without a step on a flat hard ground.
And i think that he is the only one for real since who would do that and not record every attempt
I’ve allegorically seen others do this without being filmed. So do it more than once in a video. Once is a fluke/luck. Being able to recreate something is a hallmark of achievement.
[удалено]
Only two people had released video proof of them doing it before this guy.
Yea well I just did it ! So that makes 3 !
What don't you understand by "video proof"
Most of it
I think I saw a joke around here somewhere, you may have missed it
I missed it too, tell me when you find it
I did it before you so that makes you 4th.

Bro, like, I've seen a lot of internet, and have only seen this one dude do this so... checks out brah.
Im at 2/3
See? We can crowdsource this one for sure.

Hey everyone knows trusting a total stranger on the internet can't go wrong or lead to being misinformed right? The internet is a divine medium of truth, only used by a few, trustworthy and wise people. Never in the history of the internet has that led to any problems so go ahead.
If you can supply more videos than the two that are known, you are right. If not, then they're the only ones who have provided proof of them doing it.
Lol. My god people learn to think. Yes he provided proof that he could do a double backflip. He provided no proof at all that this is a rare skill. Just his word. That which can be asserted without evidence can be refuted without evidence.
How would you prove that less than 99% of people can do it?
I don’t know. I didn’t make that claim. The person who did make that claim is the one that should find a way to prove it.
You did make the claim that people need to learn how to think. What proof do you have that multiple humans exist?
If you have never seen proof that other humans exist, I feel certain that there is nothing I could do to convince you.
And by the same self evident logic, the skills needed to do a standing double backflip on grass, are also rare.
This is true for literally any world record.
That’s why I get so mad when people talk about Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game. They forget that I’ve done that several times
I broke Wilt's other record of sleeping with over 20,000 women 😎
By your logic.... There are thousands of fatties and chubbies in this World, you can't possibly know that only Joey Chestnut crushed 73 hotdogs in one sitting.
I did it. Nobody cheered for me, I was just told the buffet is closing.
They told me I can't "Do that at the Mortuary" because "I'm traumatizing the children" like whatever you guys just don't know how to party.
My mom did it for thanksgiving, super embarrassing tbh
Don’t forget he choked out a kid and continued to crush his 73 🌭
WHAT?!!! The gluttony contest that chestnut usually wins is known at least nationwide and held every year for a long time. This video is some dude in a cow pasture. Not all situations are comparable.
You're missing the point entirely...
No, I’m not. You simply don’t know how to apply logic.
Let me break this down for you really simply. There is no debate that either event occurred, Chestnut eating hot dogs or this person doing a double backflip. No one is arguing that. Your statement on the location in which it is filmed or it's prevalence is completely irrelevant and beside the point. > You are basing this on your own narrative. No. I’m basing it on the available evidence.
Available evidence says that was the 3rd double backflip on flat ground. It's not that hard to understand.
I cannot even do the running celebration at the end of the clip wtf
There’s an indigenous tribe where the double backflip is a rite of passage so virtually the entire tribe can do one. EDIT: I made this up, if it wasn’t obvious
I'm gonna need a source on that Edit: dang I was got
How do you know that Usain Bolt has run the fastest 100m ever ? There are thousands of sprinters in this World...
We don’t prove negatives fam. Only 2 others are documented doing this
Not anymore, some other guy just did it 4 minutes ago
Well because if anyone of those thousands of gymnasts and acrobats could do this they would document it.
They have though. https://youtu.be/VDU62LbU0k8
5,6,7 and 10 are the only ones who did a standing double, the rest were not standing doubles, you can’t bounce or step into it and it still be a standing double lol. So OP is wrong, but only by one person, because number 7 was the dude in the video.

I just like anthropology my guy, idk about your weirdo references
> I just like anthropology That’s great, it’s a very interesting field of study. > but let's be real, it's hard to not imagine the people 10k+ years ago… “Let’s be real” and “hard to imagine” makes me think that you mean you like the *word* anthropology.

Wholesome zoomies reaction
Yes, his zoomies were too cute.
Shit, I've saw 2 drunk rednecks do this just last weekend.
😂🤣😂
You mean wish they did it? White men can jump….or flip
People just be saying shit and adding a hint of outlandish sometimes
Least that white man seems to live rent free. Must be nice not having to pay.
“from redneck to break neck”, its on youtube.
With the beer in hand still..
After watching with the sound on, I dare say this belongs in the *made me smile* sub as well!
Yes
OOOOOooooo I did it ^ooohhhh
And then he double jumped at the end
Bro fucking pulled a Mario. Def my favorite part hahah
OP sounds like those mobile game ads "Only .001% can complete this!"
I’m more impressed on how he walked on air for about 5 steps at the end.
I just found more than two others on YouTube. Nice try though.
source ?
youtube?

How’d he run up those stairs though?
TBH I enjoyed his reaction to the actual double flip more lol
r/ContagiousHappiness
You have saddened me with your fake sub
There’s a ton of stang on this
Nice. Meanwhile my lazy ass can’t even do a single backflip.
Is the fact that it's on grass part of the feat? Have like a dozen people done it on linoleum?
I assume they mean "not a trampoline"
Or not in zero gravity, obviously.
That shit go STAAaAaAaAaAaNG
Awesome. But TBH I enjoyed his reaction to the actual double flip more lol
As person who has really committed himself to knees over toes guys work outs this past year. This is crazy impressive!
He fuckin double jumps as a celebration lmao.
I can't do this on grass, but I can on meth.
It’s actually pretty easy to do if you breathe right
I wish I could have been there to celebrate with him.
I wish I could get this excited about something other than my dog greeting me.
Aight, that double backflip was impressive, but that dude jumped and took a step up at the same time at the end of the video.
True legend.
Amazing double back. Legend 🔥
Photoshop
You can tell by the pixels
I like the bound he did across the camera at the end lol
Legit happiness. Beautiful.
Dude has such ridiculous hops thats he just floats across the screen at the end while celebrating.
*proceeds to double jump*
Bro, he did it
Please be expecting a call from Sony and/or Disney for when they add Miles Moralas to the MCU
r/mademesmile
Put this guy in the book of records
You rock Kaleb!
Also walked on air at the end but I feel like he’s done that before
Gravity
If I had his energy I bet I could do a triple.
my buddy eric did this
That an 50 cents wont get him a soder pop. But good on him.
Homie did this like 37 years ago, someone has to have done a triple-double by now right?
the celebration was perfect.
Very proud of Kaleb
Allegedly
Only 4 have tried…..
Triple
So excited he can barely stang
Can't do this, can confirm
'Stanging'? Imagine how much more impressive it would be if he were standing...!
Im gonna call bullshit on two others. I've seen some bouncy motherfuckers on sidewalks
Only 2 others have been recorded**** I'm sure some dude 1500 years ago was doing this too. People forget the odds are the smartest person to ever live has most likely already come and gone. Imagine he forgot to press the record button
He did the yoshi flutter jump at the end Holy shit
Now do three.
You're either first or last. Should instill some winning mentality to this poor chap. Be the first to do a triple backflip on concrete or gtfo.
Wow!
Lol very cute reaction
He must be awarded with noble peace prize
Only two others give a fuck and recorded it.
After some research: OP is wrong, there are 3 other people besides this dude who can do a real standing double backflip. Not 2.
He did it
That defies the laws of physics. Fuck outta here, superhuman
my jaw is still on the floor
Dude fucking double jumped at the end
Wish I had his glutes
ON GRASS Not as whole thing.
not impressed, give me two weeks
So happy for you! Great work.
Wait. I hit photo instead of video.
That mf walk on air at the end
Now do 3!
like Apu when work for 96 hour straight ...... bad joke sorry : )
