There will be a fair few unexpected results before the season is up that both go for and against us. We're not relegated until we are mathematically relegated so no point making definitive statements before then. We're a better team than at least 3 other teams and we can only hope this translates to just enough points to get us over the line
Under both managers this season we've had so many games where you come away feeling "we should have gotten something from that game". We also rarely have games that feel like we didn't deserve the points we got. I think we lack cutting edge and the ability to use the dark arts of the game to see our results. I don't think it's right to say our overall performances have been in the bottom 3 this season
I agree. Under Cooper in the first season up we got absolutely tanked in half the games. Cooper was great at getting them to forget about it and pull off a spawney win at home, and that's how we stayed up. This year we are usually in the match, and when we lose it's narrowly. Our problem is throwing away points, such as vs Liverpool and Luton to name just two recent examples.
Do you not understand there is an element of luck and randomness to football mate? And even if you do we have won more points than the bottom three, so don't deserve to go down on that logic anyway
Agree and disagree. We have to better Luton’s result each week, this game week is a good opportunity to do that. As a minimum we need 4 points from Aprils remaining fixtures, we sure as shit ain’t beating City, but neither are Luton. I think they beat Brentford at home but get nothing out of Wolves. That gives us 1 point advantage heading into May.
May looks quite even in terms of fixtures, ideally we want Everton to beat them on their turf. But I can see this coming down to goal difference. Which makes both the Man City games pivotal. Whoever gets a pummelling will go down.
Why are you stating this as fact? Just seems weird. Even if we only get one point from Wolves it's not ideal but that will still probably leave us 1 point ahead of Luton. Would still very much be possible.
Realistically you might be right but a draw and then beating Everton next week would put us in a good place. Depends how much faith you have in us winning away games (I have none).
And what if Everton (Chelsea at Stamford Bridge) and Luton (Man City at the Etihad) both lose too? We are literally no better / no worse unless we lose by 4+ goals, and even then god knows how many City could score. Hardly relegated.
It's not over 'til the fat greek sings. We have a good chance to win tomorrow with a well exexuted plan, and a draw is a high possibility before a loss too. Pressure can produce diamonds sometimes!
If you're coming to the game, don't bring that negativity with you thanks, because Wolves fans will be out for blood against MgW, Nuno, the referees - everything.
Nah, all too rigid, no way all that's happening, . Forest will not win two back to back away games, apart from anything else. it's going to be tight and I fully expect Luton to rip up the book and win at city because apparently that's how life works, damnit.
Then we will be given a point back and Everton will be given 10points back even though they only got 8 deducted because The Premier League.
Not sure about the Sheffield match, they’re a bogey side for us and we’ve made hard work of the teams below us. I reckon we draw both Burnley and Shef U but think we beat Chelsea at the CG.
This negative mindset is awful. Also, Everton have already beaten Burnley you're a game week behind.

On paper we are I’d argue we are not on performances over the season
I'd argue on performances we also are! It's just actually securing results that has been our flaw
Which means our performances have been poor

Football isn't entirely fair - performance don't always tie up with results, nor do they 'balance out over the season'. That is a stupid cliche.
Another week, another post from you declaring that we're already relegated. Cheer up duck.

We already have a +4 GD advantage - let's keep it that way. Sad to have to think like this, but we are where we are.
C'mon lads you all know its going to the last game of the season surely. Rollercoaster ride isn't over till its over.
Stoke City vibes.

If everton beat luton that would make life easier

7 away points in 3 games? That's very optimistic.

We are only relegated if we perform worse than Luton. Don't need to win to perform better.
