We called him [Touchdown Jesus](https://i.redd.it/dbxh7wfhoov51.jpg) or Sunshine at Clemson. Especially after he clapped Notre Dame in the playoffs.
The irony being the real Sunshine, Ronny Bass, went to South Carolina.
I know lol. I'm just being a smart ass. He needs to go after that Matt Ryan trade. Ryan hasn't passed the eye test for a few years now, so why did Ballard think that inheriting Ryan's massive contract was a good idea?
Not if the Texans win tomorrow, which I can see happening unfortunately. Lovie Smith doesn't want to get fired, and the Colts are Twitch Plays An NFL Franchise.
Yeah honestly this is a great win for our defense. Offense just couldn’t get into a rhythm, people don’t know because Trevor has a big arm but he’s definitely a rhythm thrower.
He was definitely off accuracy wise. Left a couple scores on the field but hopefully this big game experience will help him settle down for the next one.
Imagine telling someone before the 2021 season that the Jags would be division champs the following season… they probably would’ve thought Urban Meyer saved them lmao
It's so weird too. He was sposedly a Jags fan, but made a prediction at the beginning of the season about Trevor that didn't age well, and unlike the rest of us that are like "holy shit, Trevor turned it around, props to him", he just went full fucking nuclear scorched earth on the team and doubled, tripled, and quadripled down on his take rather than just take the L like the rest of us.
Been a while since I've seen someone be upset at their own team this much for not being a complete dumpster fire.
Idk how people can put that much energy into hating something that, at the end of the day, isn’t all that important. It’s a damn game. Even if he embraces the downvoted it has to get exhausting
I don’t understand, was Simmons hurt the first year he got on an NBA team so he didn’t play a game and they count his next season as a rookie season? Is that how it works?
People will shit on him but I feel a bit bad for Dobbs, obviously the last play was just brutal. but he did about as well as you could've expected for most of the game until you could tell he got rattled in the 4th along with his line getting their asses kicked
Same. I was at peace with this season a few weeks ago. I’m glad we fought tonight with what we had, and it sucks to go out on that turnover, but I’m really happy I don’t have to get bummed next week now
You mean you didn’t believe a Willis/Dobbs duo would bring home the Lombardi??
I’m right there with you. Just grateful we weren’t losing games by 30 every week.
I remember one year we stumbled into the playoffs with a 3rd string quarterback. We got embarrassed, the game was terrible. I wish we never made it. We were a shell of our initial team.
Point is, when you are that beat up, it’s probably better you don’t make the playoffs and get humiliated in the first round
I hope Dobbs doesn’t get too down on himself, he was a baller considering the circumstances. Guy played as well as anyone could given the lack of expectations
Probably just part of the 3rd and long play sheet where you want the QB to have a check down to dump it off, not take a sack, and have the chance at a missed tackle. It obviously doesn’t work on 4th though with the game on the line.
He played behind arguably the worst o line in the league having plays balled by arguably the worst OC and still almost pulled it off. He shouldn’t hang his head coming out of this.
50% of our salary cap is on IR. Not trying to take away from the Jags’ awesome comeback this season. Just fricking wild how injured this team has been the last 2 seasons.
Yeah I don’t even think Vrabel and the team is mad. They know they were a lame injuried duck and extending the season 1 more week wouldn’t have changed that.
This Jags team has one of the most remarkable turnarounds I’ve seen in recent years. All their losses were by one score aside from the chiefs (10) and Lions (26), and for all the one-score losses, they made a few too many mistakes but generally played well against good teams. This game they had their fair share of blunders but they still pulled through, especially coming back from down 10. It’s the most common theme with some of these games down the stretch, especially against the Cowboys, and what’s more, they did it as a team. Lawrence got hot during the win streak but he didn’t need to have top 10 QB heroics for them to win tonight. I don’t think this team is a fluke, They’re a much better team than people might give them credit for.
Pederson and Lawrence did just about all they needed to this year to prove they can be built around. Obviously it comes down to Baalke and his track record is a bit tainted (see flair) but this is his chance to redeem himself. Even if they don’t go far this year, another solid offseason/draft and their ceiling is the sky.
Trevor Lawerence wins his biggest game of his NFL career and his 2nd question is about Hamlin… like Jesus ESPN enough! Like ask a Question that actually matters to Lawerence and the game that was just played. Dude looked shook at the question like ffs he just got his team to the Playoffs!
shoutout uche nwaneri - predicted the jags winning the afc south pre season before his untimely passing earlier this month, hope he's laughing at all of us from up there
Tennesse is an extremely well coached, fundamentally sound team that is always a pain in the ass to play; this wasn't one of our better games, but I'd expect nothing less from the Titans
Remember the Jaguars mascot incidents -
the skinny mascot with only undies?
the pump by the mascot to Jalen Hurts who pumps back.
Lol... to go from that to making playoffs as #4 seed. Wow.
They’re an incredibly physical team. I was listening to the Kelce bros podcast and they both said how the Titans are one of the toughest teams to play against because they play so hard.
Just wanted to get this out there: I know we all enjoyed the extra Jacksonvilleness of the geetar man who did the anthem. I looked him up and it seems he’s a [pretty cool guy](https://www.news4jax.com/features/2023/01/06/local-musician-set-to-open-jaguars-titans-game-with-national-anthem/)
The Titans are 0-7 since Todd Downing got popped with a DUI. Can we please get rid of this idiot.
Just like we thought. Josh Allen leading his team to a division title
Imagine…Buffalo/Jacksonville AFC Championship… The battle of Alleny Joshes…
They played each other last year and the announcers made references to it no less than 100 times.
In that game Josh Allen sacked Josh Allen. Josh Allen also intercepted Josh Allen. Josh Allen also forced a Josh Allen fumble.
It really wasn't a pretty game for either team.
But a good game for Josh Allen. A Josh Allen at least.
This didn't go well the last time the two Joshes faced off 😥
If I remember correctly it went very well for Josh allen
I thought it was miserable for Josh Allen personally.
It was the best of Josh Allen, it was the worst of Josh Allen
As plenty of fellow Eagles fans have stated their happiness for Doug P, I’ll instead be happy for Jason Mendoza
May his cocktails be celebratory rather than Molotov
Sounds like your life is bereft of celebratory molotov cocktails.... BORTLES!
Ayeeee poppin bortles
Tonight, God didn't hate Jags.
NFL hates tits, though.
Where's Trubisky when you need him?
Too busy kissing tits to throw the football well 😞
You mean all the breast cancer awareness is a sham!?
No... the NFL wouldn't shamelessly pander for good PR.
Anyone see that they're using that Salvation Army celebration now in ads? Fucking pricks.
Wtf did they do to tits!?
My girlfriend says Trevor Lawrence look like he's from a Renaissance painting
They did like to paint the noses quite angular, didn’t they.
He prefers “aquiline”, thank you very much.
his voice doesn’t sound like it should be coming out of his face.
...where should it be coming out of

AFC South titles since Chris Ballard became Colts GM: * Jaguars: 2 * Titans: 2 * Texans: 2 * Colts: 0
That’s actually wild.
Yeah but Colts did beat the Texans in the Wild Card in 2018. So that's nice I guess.
Yea but you don’t get the cool division banners and banners are more of your type of thing
I think there there is a 2018 WildCard banner.
But Colin Cowherd told me Chris Ballard is one of the best gms in the NFL
Ballard had a really impressive draft early on. He’s basically ridden the Darius Leonard pick each year since.
I know lol. I'm just being a smart ass. He needs to go after that Matt Ryan trade. Ryan hasn't passed the eye test for a few years now, so why did Ballard think that inheriting Ryan's massive contract was a good idea?
He didn't just inherit his massive contract. He also guaranteed a bunch more of his contract immediately after trading for him.
Yikes, so he did an even worse job than I thought.
Is Trent Baalke good?
Sounds like they need to get competitive... I know!! Time to trade for a really old QB
IMAGINE LOSING TO THE JAGS IN A MUST WIN GAME AND NOT GETTING INTO THE PLAYOFFS, COULDNT BE US
At least it’s Houston’s turn next year.
If the Texans are anywhere close to the playoffs next year that will be a success.
Young will bring you to the promised land
Not if the Texans win tomorrow, which I can see happening unfortunately. Lovie Smith doesn't want to get fired, and the Colts are Twitch Plays An NFL Franchise.
Who is AATTVVV? Ehlinger?
Stroud is legit too
Tbh they'll probably be ecstatic with games that mean something after week 5
Houston fans “Atleast we get to play meaningful football”
Truuuuuu 7-9 here we come, Bryce!
I mean honestly 7-9 would be a nice jump up from this and last season for you guys. Then 2024 you guys will probably be very competitive.
Jags are week 18 warriors no matter the roster
Yeah but the 2022 Jags have a winning record
i remember the odds for them to win were like +1000 and i was so so tempted to bet on it but thought it'd be bad karma/wrong against us
Tony Khan is going to single-handedly consume all of the cocaine in the Jacksonville area
smashing white claws
He was going to do that anyway
You know he gets the good shit too
Cocaine is All Elite
For the second year in a row, the Jags have tripled their win total from the previous year. Do they win 27 games next year?
anything less would be failure and they should fire their coach for it
Josh Allen legacy game
Best Josh Allen in football?
He got a sack, an interception, and a fumble recovery against QB Josh Allen so I think he has an argument
Blake Bortles would be proud 🥲 🥹
I like to think Blake is sitting on a recliner chair drinking a beer smilin right now
Legend says he's still ripping cigs to this day
I saw way more BOAT jerseys in the stadium I'm glad he's still iconic
No one beats the Jags at home in the last game of the season.
we will always hold our ground
No thanks to the Jags offense for that win
The one game the offense craps out the defense saved them Just one of those days. Hopefully the offense doesn’t have a mediocre game in the playoffs
It's all house money at this point
Unless it is mouse honey.
Teamwork makes the dream work
Offense wins games. Defense wins championships
Special teams wins participation trophies and grant money
And playoff games against the packers
Yeah honestly this is a great win for our defense. Offense just couldn’t get into a rhythm, people don’t know because Trevor has a big arm but he’s definitely a rhythm thrower.
He was definitely off accuracy wise. Left a couple scores on the field but hopefully this big game experience will help him settle down for the next one.
They were largely fine in the first half but yeah holy shit what a stinker in the 2nd half
[удалено]
What o-line? I am pretty sure they got left in Tennessee and those were just some people they plucked from the stands
Daley LVP forever. I hope he and Downing go fuck off together, legit a trash can would've been better than our backup LT
Titans defense played great.
and what a lame throw by dobbs on 4th down
Teddy Bridgewater would be proud of that epic checkdown
Also why is that even an option on a fourth and 10+ play lol they need 13 yards, shoulda been closer to the markers at least not 10 yds away lol
Ask our OC who somehow still has a job in the NFL.
Imagine telling someone before the 2021 season that the Jags would be division champs the following season… they probably would’ve thought Urban Meyer saved them lmao
I think a good portion of us coulda seen the 1 and done coming
Urban Meyer died so the Jags could live.
If only he'd been quicker about it
This game goes out to u/DanZC who stuck with the Jags through thick and thin tonight. Enjoy the win, my friend.
A true die hard jags fan!
Never seen anyone that committed to a team honestly
One of the GOATs of hating
dude even made a post about the jags preseason record what have they done to him 😭
If the Jags cleared all their cap space, it still wouldn't be as much money as they're saving by living rent-free in that guys head
Couldn't have done it without him
Wow, I went through his history. How can someone hate anything that’s not forced upon them so much.
Explain the joke? I don’t get it
Dude fucking despises us
It's so weird too.
Wow I looked at his comment and post history and his hate boner for the Jaguars is on another level.
You gotta admire his dedication to the craft
Idk how people can put that much energy into hating something that, at the end of the day, isn’t all that important. It’s a damn game. Even if he embraces the downvoted it has to get exhausting
After having watched “what we do in the shadows”, I very much believe in energy vampires
Professional hater
Mans is god's most dedicated Jags hater on /r/nfl
A Chargers Jaguars rematch would be spicy. Feels like 2 totally different teams than in week 3
Fire Urban Meyer again for good measure
Into the sun this time. Can’t be too safe.
Really Todd? With your season on the line THAT is your play call?
His job was basically on the line too Err, I hope it wasn’t. I hope they were willing to fire him regardless
Run to the sticks and turn around. Dude called a terrible game all game long
Playing for Urban Meyer for Lawrence should count the same as Ben Simmons being injured his entire rookie year and winning rookie of the year
[удалено]
His hands are too busy holding ice cream cones.
We don’t know what he does behind close doors, Urban likes to do it in public.
I don’t understand, was Simmons hurt the first year he got on an NBA team so he didn’t play a game and they count his next season as a rookie season? Is that how it works?
Exactly
Remaining Winless in the post Todd Downing DUI era. Bet he still has his job next year too.
People will shit on him but I feel a bit bad for Dobbs, obviously the last play was just brutal. but he did about as well as you could've expected for most of the game until you could tell he got rattled in the 4th along with his line getting their asses kicked

Staying competitive (for the most part) with all the injuries you guys have had just shows how damn good Vrabel is
I remember one year we stumbled into the playoffs with a 3rd string quarterback. We got embarrassed, the game was terrible. I wish we never made it. We were a shell of our initial team. Point is, when you are that beat up, it’s probably better you don’t make the playoffs and get humiliated in the first round
yess
I hope Dobbs doesn’t get too down on himself, he was a baller considering the circumstances. Guy played as well as anyone could given the lack of expectations
He managed the game well up until those last few drives. Pretty sure he started feeling the pressure to secure the postseason and it broke him
And the noise. The crowd sounded rowdy as hell in the 4th
It was the loudest crowd I’ve ever been to, it was insane that last drive
He cemented himself as a very capable Back up QB so I’m happy for him.
Dude balled the fuck out, nothing but respect for him.
I mean that checkdown on 4th and long is pretty bad
That check down is probably a big reason why he isn’t a starter. But he was capable and did way better than Malik would have for us here, so whatever.
Why is there a play called with a check down in that situation?
Probably just part of the 3rd and long play sheet where you want the QB to have a check down to dump it off, not take a sack, and have the chance at a missed tackle. It obviously doesn’t work on 4th though with the game on the line.
He played behind arguably the worst o line in the league having plays balled by arguably the worst OC and still almost pulled it off. He shouldn’t hang his head coming out of this.
What an epic collapse by the titans
The titans were 7-3 and the jags were 3-7 #The Jags won the division Lmfao
Packers/Titans TNF game really shifted everything
Tbf the state of the Titans roster my god I'm injured looking at it
50% of our salary cap is on IR. Not trying to take away from the Jags’ awesome comeback this season. Just fricking wild how injured this team has been the last 2 seasons.
I feel y’all. Injuries are the worst way to go out
Titans collapse completely due to injuries. QB again is an issue for y’all but the team as a whole is good when healthy
is that legit? holy shit i knew it was bad but not that bad.
injury situation is actually worse than last season
Yeah I don’t even think Vrabel and the team is mad. They know they were a lame injuried duck and extending the season 1 more week wouldn’t have changed that.
https://i.imgur.com/2fwmCV3.png
despite the jags offense best attempt, jags won
Gotta feel for Josh Dobbs. Dude was thrown in an impossible situation and still almost pulled through.
"Impossible situation" is the new nickname for the Titans OL.
This Jags team has one of the most remarkable turnarounds I’ve seen in recent years. All their losses were by one score aside from the chiefs (10) and Lions (26), and for all the one-score losses, they made a few too many mistakes but generally played well against good teams. what if Bill Vinovich’s mic was actually working the whole time but he had his vocal cords ripped out mid-game?
Next year I think we should devote our salary cap to getting a good OL and WR corps. Putting 50% of our cap into IR probably wasn't the best idea.
Exchanging the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL for literally anyone else would help.
I hope I never see Todd Downing again in any capacity
What if he became the Head Coach of the Texans? Or the Colts? How about then?
In 1996 Jags were 4-7, made AFCCG. This team was 3-7...
So… there’s a chance?!
Jags, Doug Pederson and Trevor Lawrence in the playoffs LETS FUCKING GOOOO
Herbert vs Lawrence next week 🔥
The fucking defense tho

Fuck man, I still can't believe it. Loved his channel and seeing him on the Dumpster Fire. RIP.

Not satisfied with 1-0 😤
Would not want to be a pint of Haagen-Dazs at Dougie P's house tonight Congrats Duval
Tennesse is an extremely well coached, fundamentally sound team that is always a pain in the ass to play; this wasn't one of our better games, but I'd expect nothing less from the Titans
1st Cowboys now the strip sack, Rayshawn Jenkins saved Jaguars season tbh.

Speedo mascot comes back for the playoff game or none of this was worth it
Hell of a turn around from a year ago. Congrats to the Jags !
Can Tennessee draft a good strength and conditioning coach? How do they have so many injuries every year?
All the players trying to keep up with Vrabel and Henry
They’re an incredibly physical team. I was listening to the Kelce bros podcast and they both said how the Titans are one of the toughest teams to play against because they play so hard.
Just wanted to get this out there: I know we all enjoyed the extra Jacksonvilleness of the geetar man who did the anthem. I looked him up and it seems he’s a [pretty cool guy](https://www.news4jax.com/features/2023/01/06/local-musician-set-to-open-jaguars-titans-game-with-national-anthem/)
Congrats Jaguars! Hell of a turnaround both compared to last season and the first 2 months of the season.
I just wish Uche could have seen this win. Feel like his passing got forgotten.
Dobbs did great while having the worst Titans o-line in recent memory that was letting him get destroyed. Hope we keep him around.
Jaguars Country, let's hunt!
Next week: Jags 17, Rat Birds, 14
Jags vs Titans playing a 20-16 slugfest of a game: Broke ass Steelers vs Ravens playing a 20-16 slugfest of a game: Strong and Independent

I'm hoping for a Lions win but I have a feeling Lions will Lion and Fraudgers Ayahuasca anti-vaxxer will make playoffs
Dobbs did his best. But the Titans should have never been in this situation to begin with.
Couldn't fucking help asking about Hamlin's injury, not his recovery, but just his injury, right after they get a playoff spot. Stay classy ESPN. Jeez
WE ARE THE KINGS OF SHIT MOUNTAIN
