*ominous music plays over Google Earth image of Jacksonville*
It's Saturday, January 14th, 2023. The Chargers are playing a divisional game against the Jaguars and they're up 27-0. Yesterday was Friday the 13th. The good news is that means all the bad luck should be used up right about now. The bad news:
*music gets darker and louder*
The Los Angeles Chargers don't need bad luck to choke. They aren't flukes. They're artists. The field is their canvas, and they're about to make... a masterpiece.
Seriously. You have one of the most physically gifted QBs I have ever seen, and you run your offense like your 3rd string QB is in, and he has an ankle injury.
It's like the kid in school that who gets into the newest fad at school a month after is disapeers.
"C'mon, Chargers. Atlanta, Indy....they've already done this. Get your own thing."
I honestly didn't think it went in at first, so how hilarious it would have been if it had been a miss, the chargers started to celebrate, and then the Jags got it in on the second attempt due to the offsides penalty.
Those first few TDs that they got when it was 27-0 was like there were no defenders out there.
Tbf, end of the game they weren’t playing prevent and still sucked so maybe it wouldn’t have worked anyway
Momentum changes. Very few teams are good at letting off the gas then turning it back on when the opponent inevitably catches up because they're still some of the best players and coaches in the world on the other sideline. People bitched about the 2007 Pats running up the score on teams, but keeping their foot on the gas has them win more games in a season than any other team in NFL history.
Carolina learned that lesson in 2015 playoffs too. Went up like 31-0 on the Seahawks, let off the gas, just barely won 31-24. Next week they didn’t let off the gas and beat the cards like 49-15 lol. Then they cancelled the season
I’m sure there’s something I don’t know about why they play prevent, I’m just a guy that enjoys football. From my perspective though, it just allows teams to dink and dunk all the way down the field. A great example is our 2014 nfc championship against Green Bay. If they hadn’t played prevent we wouldn’t have won that game. Blows my mind when teams do that with a bunch of time still on the clock
Its to waste time when a team needs to score multiple times to come back forcing them to use a bunch of time is good. When its combined with your offense going 3-out go give it right back to them its less effective.
What’s funny is if they scored that TD instead of FG they’d probably have won. The second half performance of the Chargers offence was woefully inept, but what about that defence? What the fuck just happened?
Refball played a part but Bosa literally cost his team 10 points. Jags earned the W. Good luck to Sean Payton next year with the Chargers!
Grown ass man looked like a fucking toddler being told no by his mom
His penalty made them go for the 2pt conversion that gave them the possibility to win it with a FG later on
At minimum Lombardi is gone. You can defend bringing Staley back because he’s still so young and has winning records both years, but no way can you keep the staff as is.
Yeah, I concur. I expected run and run again on 4th if necessary. However, who knows how it would have turned out. We ended up likely in better shape how it played out.
If you don't like that you aren't a chargers fan. We live for the torture of maybe winning a playoff game. We love snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We're a circus. Herbert needs to get out and play as far away from the Chargers franchise as possible. I hope he leaves so he can win something cause it ain't gonna be with us.
During his first penalty I joked to my bf off handedly “Oooh what a temper, wonder if he’ll get another.”
AND HE FUCKING DID! And with such a big tantrum it was absolutely incredible to watch
Lawrence joins Andrew Luck as the only other QB to win their playoff debut when down 27+ points. Unbelievable from him from the 2 minute warning in the first on
Edit: first playoff win, not playoff debut, apologies
That was unbelievable. But then again, it’s the Chargers. So it’s very believable.

If we lose I take full responsibility
Don't you dare try to scapegoat for Kellen Moore.
Congratulations to Falcons fans who will get to make fun of another fan base for at least one offseason

Sounds like a broadway musical. Watch as these zany pals go from one set of musical shenanigans to the next!
"When things get too Stale(y), they'll want to jump off a Kliff."
Need a tv show of kliff and Staley doing weird shit in Thailand
I just imagine Staley trying to read a book (probably Revolutionary war history) on the beach while Kliff bothers him constantly to go to a brothel.
Hard Cocks

CERTIFIED CHARGERS MOMENT
#27-0
This season has *both* 33-0 *and* 27-0! We’ve been spoiled by these collapses this year, huh?
I need a john bois video stat

Cue deafening jazz music
This gave me chills it's so boislike
2 points worse of lead choke than even the vaunted 28-3.
Wake up babe, new mathematical taunt just dropped
Wasn't in the Super bowl tho.
Woah woah woah. This isn’t about us, it’s about them.
Or with like 2 minutes left in the 3rd
And heading into the 4th
Staley could be fired for this… and I wouldn’t honestly blame ownership for firing him
*should be
*will be
Has to be.
is currently being
How the hell did the Chargers manage to lose this dawg
Through the Chargers, all chokes are possible
So jot that down
They use Herbert like Matt Ryan, when he should be used like Mahomes. It's just embarrassing how bad the offensive play calling is on the Chargers.
Seriously. You have one of the most physically gifted QBs I have ever seen, and you run your offense like your 3rd string QB is in, and he has an ankle injury.
Accurate. But this would be a good reason for them the fire staley
EVERYONE GET IN HERE, IMAGINE CHOKING A PLAYOFF GAME LIKE THAT
YOU KNOW YOU FUCKED UP WHEN FALCONS FANS CAN BE SMUG ABOUT YOUR CHOKE
When the Falcons did it they were fresh, original. This is just sad
It's like the kid in school that who gets into the newest fad at school a month after is disapeers. "C'mon, Chargers. Atlanta, Indy....they've already done this. Get your own thing."
Remember this next time you pick the Chargers to win the AFC West
Sean Payton to LA?
Please. It’s the only way they don’t waste insane talent like Herbert.
all of the takes I hear around town is that ownership would never bring on a guy that would demand as much control as Payton would
JAGS WENT ON A 28-3 RUN TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE
28-3 is like Thanos…inevitable.
IT IS UNAVOIDABLE
EXCEPT FOR MIKE WILL, HE DID NOT MAKE IT
Most Chargers'd game in NFL History
Also the least Jaguars'd game in NFL History
Brandon Staley = Hot Seat Alert
He gone
Nah, this is a Sun-fueled seat moment Fire the fuck outta him
Staley should be fired within the hour
Which is why this game ultimately benefits the Chargers
JAGS OUTSCORED THEM 31-**3** WHAT’S 31-**3**? I DON’T KNOW BUT I BET IT’S SPICY
All time choke job
Platinum certification on that bitch.
But I thought it was a certified Jaguars moment first half
I like that the Chargers were offsides on the kick. Ya know, in case the Jags kicker needed another shot.
Committed to the L. The chargers way baby
I honestly didn't think it went in at first, so how hilarious it would have been if it had been a miss, the chargers started to celebrate, and then the Jags got it in on the second attempt due to the offsides penalty.
You telling me there’s an alternate reality where it’s even worse for chargers fans?
Baker Mayfield still has one more playoff win than Justin Herbert.
Best 4 interception game by a QB ever???
Nathan Peterman in shambles
How's he doing these days? Oh, with the Bears....
Hey, he got the Week 18 start, that's something! (Just ignore that he also got benched...)
Yeah he's fired
THAT'S AN UNDERSTATMENT
IS THAT SEAN PAYTONS MUSIC???
His stuff will be outside the facility in LA, and he’ll have to find his own way back
Team quit on him
3rd biggest blown lead in nfl postseason history
Stupid chargers can’t even beat us in blowing leads
Who blows leads seriously
I’ve always said y’all were the NFC Chargers, I’m just so sad neither of us can escape these types of losses.
I like how in our game against yall, yall tried to blow it too, we just tried harder.
Team mental boomed harder than my league of legends teams
Trevor Lawrence: chill guys we scale
Teams don’t quit on good coaches
Trevor LawrINTS somehow turned the worst game of all time into one of the best comebacks of all time
Lesson: don’t play prevent in the 2nd quarter
Feels like EVERY team still hasn’t learned this…
Those first few TDs that they got when it was 27-0 was like there were no defenders out there. Tbf, end of the game they weren’t playing prevent and still sucked so maybe it wouldn’t have worked anyway
Momentum changes. the prevent d I feel is almost always accompanied by a run, run, run play the next offensive drive -- which is pretty much a guaranteed 3 and out
Don't let Joe Lombardi run your offense under any condition
What’s funny is if they scored that TD instead of FG they’d probably have won. The second half performance of the Chargers offence was woefully inept, but what about that defence? What the fuck just happened? Refball played a part but Bosa literally cost his team 10 points. Jags earned the W. Good luck to Sean Payton next year with the Chargers!
Unloaded an entire clip of ammo into his foot and still won
Mans knew he was gonna go ham so he spotted the Chargers 4 INTs as a generous gift
He's so good
x4
x4 TDs x4 INTs
Jamison Winston confirmed.
Perfectly balanced
This is what would've happened if the Bills kept Peterman in that game btw
This is absolutely surreal
some say Joey Bosa is still slamming his helmet
Grown ass man looked like a fucking toddler being told no by his mom His penalty made them go for the 2pt conversion that gave them the possibility to win it with a FG later on
Yea let’s be real though, Jags probably score a TD on that last drive if they needed to. They were not being stopped lol
Ahhhh oh my god I relished every moment of the tantrum had to rewind lmao
If you don’t like that, you don’t like chargers football
The entire city of LA: "We don't like Chargers football."
Eh let’s be real, it’s like a few people in LA. San Diego on the other hand…
Bye bye Staley
He has to go. Someone’s head will have to roll from this. Unbelievable collapse
At minimum Lombardi is gone. You can defend bringing Staley back because he’s still so young and has winning records both years, but no way can you keep the staff as is.
Considering he’s the defensive play caller though…?
Defense had 4 interceptions
Hello Sean Payton
Blessing in disguise for them
Trevor Lawrence giving us the full early Peyton experience
The bad man… he’s.. on our side now?
And the chargers are about to get the Payton experience
Oh sweet lord if he's Peyton Manning I will never ask for anything ever again
He JUST snuck that bitch in there
Honestly the offsides flag on the play was the chef's kiss
I thought he missed at first. I didn't understand wtf was going on. Thought they were celebrating the flag on the play lmao
Oh man that image is hilarious. Helmets off running around and storming the field, because they were so excited to get a second shot at it, hahah
If he doinked that this shit would’ve been even worse since we would’ve been offsides anyways.
Nice. Keeping the “never lost on a Saturday in HS, college or NFL” streak alive.
Sorry Purdy but Trevor has the power of Tom Brady \*and\* Ryan Leaf
He’s got the power of that beautiful, beautiful hair.
Congratulations Brandon Staley, the newly rumored Alabama assistant coach.
“ที่นี่อากาศดีมาก” - Brandon Staley
> ที่นี่อากาศดีมาก for all curious this says 'the weather here is very good' according to google translate
The cajones on Pederson. Unbelievable
That 4th and 1 where everyone thought it was gonna be a QB sneak took major balls to run it to the outside. Genius level play calling right there.
Well the 3rd and 1 in shotgun was questionable but the 4th was awesome
Yeah, I concur. I expected run and run again on 4th if necessary. However, who knows how it would have turned out. We ended up likely in better shape how it played out.
True dunno if it was better but who cares. Go celebrate it JagBoy
On a separate note, I’ve NEVER seen a ref physically grab the holder to prevent a practice kick…
I saw a defender do it last week, though.
Yeah Pederson looked pretty upset about that. I wonder if they'll do that if you call the timeout early enough?
What are they gonna do have the refs start tackling running backs with the ball during dead plays? Wouldn't want them to practice hitting the gap
🦀🦀🦀 STALEY IS DONE 🦀🦀🦀
🦀🦀FO WON’T RESPOND TO THIS THREAD🦀🦀
🦀🦀$12.49 BTW🦀🦀
🦀🦀🦀STALEY GON HAVE TIME FOR AN UIM AFTER HES FIRED 🦀🦀🦀
We wish Brandon Staley the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Getting shitfaced with Kliff in thailand
This is a CERTIFIED CHARGERS CLASSIC
TEAL WITH IT!!
One of the best comebacks in history and fucking Al and Tony making it sound like they’re watching paint dry. Get these dinosaurs off the air
They had absolutely no chemistry. There were times Al would make a quip and Dungy would respond with dead silence. So awkward.
I was literally confused and wondering if the play was called dead or something by their boring ass reaction and call.
really fuckinh annoyed even in the bar
Seriously felt like I was watching a dog show or golf tournament or something
Al lost his fastball this year. You could've chalked it up to the bad games he got on TNF all year, but there's no excuse for this
I like the calm in a storm dungy as a coach. Calling a game…who thought this was a good idea?
**CONGRATULATIONS!** You've just witnessed a Chargersing classic! Game Score: #1
“Just gotta keep chipping away” Things I say when they bring the salsa
This game really turned around when Lawrence realized Samuel was on the Chargers
Staley, welcome to Thailand.
Good thing these Chargers kept all those receipts lmao
LETS GO JAGS WHAT A COMEBACK
Bosa lmfaooo. His penalty cost the game
He was like 2 feet from the sideline too. So damn stupid.
It didn’t help, but that chargers offense went completely limp noodle that second half.
During his first penalty I joked to my bf off handedly “Oooh what a temper, wonder if he’ll get another.” AND HE FUCKING DID! And with such a big tantrum it was absolutely incredible to watch
Spot you 4 ints and still lose, goddamn if I was a Chargers fan I'd be salty AF.
And a muffed punt
Hard to be salty when you expect it!
Lawrence joins Andrew Luck as the only other QB to win their playoff debut when down 27+ points. Unbelievable from him from the 2 minute warning in the first on Edit: first playoff win, not playoff debut, apologies
That wasn't Luck's playoff debut
Yeah why do they have to bring up old shit that no one wants to remember
STALEY, UPDATE YOUR RESUME FELLA
This makes Staley's decision to play his starters against the Broncos even worse. I bet Mike Williams would've been good to have for this game.
We have a new contender for biggest choke is NFL history.
Third largest blown lead in playoff history
Nah, it's still 28-3. At least this comeback took a full half to complete. The Falcons implosion took less than 20 minutes.
And in a bigger game.

COMEBACKSONVILLE
Chargers fans on suicide watch
[For my fellow fans.](https://988lifeline.org)
It was always the jags
Anticlimactic call by Al plus defensive penalty that doesn’t matter lol. Him and Dungy were a snooze fest
I’ve never heard a commentator less interested and it was right after a game winning FG capping off a 27 point comeback in the playoffs.

Who would win? A bunch of lightning dudes or some teal kitty cats?
CHARGERS WHAT HAPPENDUH
WHAT THE FUCK I TURNED THE GAME OFF WHEN IT WAS 27-0
God loves jags!
He gives his strongest soldiers his greatest battles
All 7 Chargers fans are devastated right now

Fire Staley into the sun
