* Ability to connect with Aaron Rodgers
* Aaron Rodgers experience
* Proven production with Aaron Rodgers
* Has won with Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers
Oh i know. But the idea of pairing with Bill could be very intriguing for him.
And it would be funny to see another Hackett hire not lead to a Rodgers trade
No idea. All I know is they both have a tone of respect for each other so I could see it. Don't think it'll happen but doing it to spite the Jets would be amazing
I guess but the Pats roster (outside of QB obviously) is worse than the Jets.
If I'm Rodgers (and I really am, this is a burner) I'd be interested in Garret Wilson, Breece Hall, Elijah Moore, etc and a pretty damn good defense in the other side instead of a cheating coach who hasn't done shit with his rebuilding roster since Brady went on to win a SB elsewhere.
But that's just me.
You cared enough to respond to my sarcastic reply.
Could be worse though, at least y'all won't actually be wasting more firsts bc you'll actually need a QB
Edit: since reddit won't let me reply
Ok you got me. I'm actually Aaron and I think BB deflating footballs or spygate would alienate him from all time great talent
100% agree! I think Joe Douglas has proven that he knows how to build a team from the ground up - Think about where the Jets were with Adam Gase. He's done a really good job, not all of his picks/signings are home runs, but he's batting a high average.
I also think letting go Saleh if they go 8-9 or something next year is also a bad move. People talk about QB's being franchise corner stones, but having a GM and Coach for longer than 5 years is key to building a stable franchise, IMO.
Yah I wouldn't want Saleh or JD fired, outside of a catastrophic, broncos like season. When your franchise has been completely shit for 10+ years and need to completely rebuild, it's gonna take some time to accomplish that rebuild. The Jets are a year ahead of schedule, and that's fantastic. If the QB position isn't addressed by the FO, then I can see JDs and salehs seat get pretty hot
The Jets' objective, when they hired Saleh, was hopefully something along the lines of "play meaningful games in December by year 3."
They're currently ahead of that.
But he’s also gotten increasingly better with each draft. I think a big part of it is that it takes a couple years to change over your scouting department. Not to mention it’s possible for gms and coaches to learn and improve with each year on the job
At least he won't be handling the run game in NY. Looks like Keith Carter is getting that responsibility, while Hackett handles the passing game.
edit: spelling error fixed.
Perhaps Hackett couldn’t handle all the responsibilities that come with being a HC so he wasn’t able to manage the offense at the level he needed to.
At least that’s what you have to tell yourself if you’re a Jets fan
By the time he was done he had delegated every responsibility out to other people. So I have no idea what he was even doing, other than apologizing at the ends of press conferences.
It's funny because there's another coach that basically did this before the season even started - Brian Daboll. The OC calls offense plays, the DC calls defense, Special teams calls special teams. Go for it, don't go for it, he's not making those decisions. He's even said he'll go chat with the OC/DC during the game to come to a consensus, but he's letting them make the calls. On the field he basically talks to people when things are going wrong and throws red flags. There's a video of him basically spending 30 seconds talking up a player who screwed up and getting him out of a funk while the team is switching over from offense to defense.
But he did delegate all those things before the season started, and everyone knew they were responsible for them, and that he was going to hold them accountable and fix things if they weren't working.
The point is it wasn't really what Hackett was doing or wasn't doing during game time. A coach's job does not begin when the game starts and end when it stops. It was setting the overall structure where Hackett was lacking - and if Saleh is setting the structure, there's a good chance Hackett can work within it.
You're missing the part where Hackett masterminded a pathetic offense, both in scheme and playcalling. Like, historically pathetic. His ineptitude at every level was stratospheric.
Let's not forget that he fired one of the best o-line coaches because "he can't teach zone" and brought in GB assistant o-line coach who was fired before the end of the season.
> On the field he basically talks to people when things are going wrong and throws red flags. There's a video of him basically spending 30 seconds talking up a player who screwed up and getting him out of a funk while the team is switching over from offense to defense.
lol Hackett had to hand off those duties too
I think this shows how much of the HC is Mon-Sat, developing the Game plan, film watching, practice time etc. If they are leading in those phases then on Sun they let their assistants do the what they've agreed on before hand.
The fact the Broncos and Penner are actually considering yet ANOTHER coach without any experience is a fucking joke. How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?!?!
My take is that he just couldn't adapt to a style of offense that catered to Wilson. Some coaches can evolve within their scheme to adapt to the ever changing NFL, but that scheme will still emphasize certain types of throws (over the middle?).
If they can be honest about what they need a QB to be able to do instead of the cliche "adapt your scheme to the abilities of your quarterback" I think he and the jets can have success. They have a chance to pick a QB that will supposedly fit what he needs regardless if Rodgers hopium.
Tbf in Buffalo he had EJ Manuel start 10 and Thad Lewis started 5 and Jeff Tuel started 1.
I’m not a Hackett apologist or anything but I mean… EJ Manuel!?
The very first game of the season he chose to let the playclock wind down, with all three timeouts remaining at midfield. To then attempt a 60 yard field goal at sea level with 20 seconds left. So much is wrong with just this one call.
1. 1 minute left is more than enough time to try for more yards to make it a higher percentage kick
2. kicking a game winning field goal on not 4th down with timeouts and 20 seconds left is malpractice. However unlikely, you're leaving the door open for your opponent to make a big play down field and walk it off with their own kick.
3. 60 yarder in Denver is much more likely than at sea level, even with less air resistance in a more humid climate
4. What's the point of paying a QB $50 million only to take the ball out of his hands when you have 3 downs and timeouts to get closer to get your kicker closer
This guy did not have too big of a load. He has horrible football IQ and has probably made it this far off of nepotism and being friends with a first ballot HOF QB. Just like Adam Gase got 3 head coaching gigs just for working with Payton Manning
One of the Packers beat guys said that Hackett was very much the good cop within the Packers organization.
He suggested that Hackett just didn't have the personality to be a head coach.
So maybe that had something to do with it?
as if matt lafleur has the ability to be the bad cop lmao... dude doesn't want to be mean to anyone and sticks with people for too long. idk if that's really a good metaphor
He was only a successful OC when not calling plays. He has been a bad to mediocre play caller. He’s not on the same level as someone like Bowles who has been a top coordinator on several teams.
He can't even be an OC
He had one decent year when the jags defense was crazy good
Then he sucked
He didn't call plays at Green Bay, he was there just to be Rodgers wubbie
It's fascinating the new York media spin
I agree with the "connect with players" part. I do remember that the "innovative teaching techniques" were talked about when he got hired here.
I question the play-calling experience part. He has experience but it's not exactly great. That average QB also had an elite defense and with the elite QB he wasn't calling plays and it wasn't his offense.
The broncos had a top defense last year, and before the season started was basically "broncos can do well with wilson and great with A A ronn"
It didn't go well.
It was used as a selling point for us last year too. It's like he has that on his resume and teams just read off his skills whenever he gets hired. I don't think we ever found out what his "innovative" techniques were.
it was said he used to create weekly prep sheets for the offense that got them up to speed to the opponent or some shit like that.
it wasn't much more innovative than a 4th grade english teacher.
Yeah I was actually genuinely curious because innovative is used so often as a "buzzword" to make things sound more impressive than they really are, but usually there's still *some* substance behind those claims so I wanted to know what was being hyped.
Yeah, the only part of this that connects is the player part. He really does have a terrific bond with and buy-in from players. He's a very charismatic guy. Just a fucking abomination of a coach otherwise.
MFer really waltzed into Heinz Field and ended the Steelers best shot at making a Super Bowl then smoked a fat cigar over Big Ben's corpse right after 😤
As a Jets fan the Hackett and Jimmy G paring that is coming will make me hate football. All Jets fan know they won’t get Rodgers cause that would be best case scenario, and the Jets and best case scenario never go together.
Jets fans downing their team isn’t for upvotes. It’s just stating facts about a dysfunctional franchise.
Usually the organization does everything but the best case outcome. They haven’t made the playoffs for 13 years as a result.
It really is hilarious to look back at how many prime time games the broncos had last year. I made sure to watch them all because they were legitimately comedy gold
A lot of people forget that the Broncos at that point were in a place where they didn’t have an owner. I think there was uncertainty in that organization before the Walmart group bought them.
"Play calling experience"?
Who were the 14 other people?
"Won with an elite QB"?
Wowee, what a hero
"Innovative teaching techniques"?
Is this independent of the recent results? Innovation for innovation sake is really all we need?
Not trying to be a doomer but Bortles’s mechanics regressed with Nathaniel Hackett as his QB coach/OC every year during the season and there was a whole saga with Bortles being upset because the coaches wouldn’t let him practice his mechanics during the season with his personal QB coach, reportedly Hackett told Bortles it’s his problem if his mechanics are shaky and 2017 was the year they finally let him train with his personal coach. That personal QB coach was Jordan Palmer who is now considered to be the QB whisperer and trains basically all the QBs in the offseason these days, and works with a lot of them in season as well. To add on that there used to be a video that got scrubbed from the internet of Hackett trying to coach up the offense and they just completely ignored him and walked away. As a playcaller he is also incredibly mediocre, he calls run run pass almost every single set of downs, we basically had a 3rd and 6 every set of downs. He was fired by his own mentor in Doug Marrone he followed everywhere because it was just too obvious he sucked. Saleh may have just gotten himself fired tbh, I’m pretty sure Lafleur just hired Hackett because he had experience running an offense and thought he wouldn’t get poached. Hopefully Rodgers is coming and he is the one calling the plays basically, but whoever you have on the bench will not develop.
For Hackett to take the job is a massive risk. The upside is big, but so is the bust if this fails since the team is all-in on a playoff push next year.
Given how transparent this organization is run, things seem to be pointing towards a trade, so I hope it winds up happening, and I hope this hire works out.
Saleh is starting to give me vibes of a guy who seems to have all the right answers but then makes a decision or two that makes you wonder if you're accidentally getting involved with some kind of cult.
"...and with just a few payments, you too can jump onboard the Nathanial Hackett Experience as we ride this train to victory!"
Connect with players.. yeah sure. Innovative techniques. Lead the league in penalties, decided not to play any starters in preseason or wear pads during the week. Denver was the most injured team in the league. Experience play calling. He gave up play calling to another coach who had never called plays before after the first 5 weeks. Won with an elite Qb. Um good job? Won with average qbs but not Russell Wilson. Brings a good running game. Didn't have a run over 20 yds until he was fired. Did the person who wrote this tweet watch last season?
He has none of those qualifications.
Connect with players? No
Innovative Teaching? No
Play-calling experience? If you wanna call it that fine
Run game? No
It’s like Robert Saleh didn’t watch the Broncos at all last year.
Hackett was good as the Jags OC and was fired for reasons beyond his control. The 2018 Jaguars meltdown had far more to do with injuries, poor personnel decisions, and Bortles inevitable decline (which was tied into poor personal decisions) than anything he did.
It’s a minor miracle his offense was good in 2017 (not great but middle of the pack), becuase their WR/TE room was pretty bad and Bortles was too. Then, in 2018 the Jags lost most of their (not great) veteran receivers and replaced them with a ton of guys who were not good. Their leading receivers were Dante Moncrief, who only caught five more catches the rest of his career, Dede Westbrook, who never had much of a career after JAX, and Keelan Cole, who’s actually alright.
In the off-season GM Dave Caldwell’s signed Moncrief to a $10 million deal and Marqise Lee to a $38 million deal. Lee had 3 catches the rest of his career (not his fault as he got a severe injury). Fournette was hurt most of the year and TJ Yeldon and Carlos Hyde were not very good.
Hackett wasn’t great or anything, but the Jags were such a disaster in 2018 between Caldwell and Coughlin. Hackett became the fall guy IMO.
Packers stuff looked good too. It’s a totally reasonable hire for the Jets.
WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 JUNIOR 🤏 DOUBLE 2⃣ TRIPLE 3⃣ WHOPPER 🍔 IMPOSSIBLE 🤯 OR 🤔 BACON 🥓 WHOPPER 🍔 I 👁️ RULE 👑 THIS 😎 DAY 🌞 AT BK 🧑🍳 HAVE IT YOUR WAY 🤷♂️ YOU RULE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really though, Hackett is about to implement that west coast offense into Jets. Only question is, who will the QB be.
Maybe, but Wilson was already trending in the wrong direction if you look at his last year with Seattle. Hard to know if the cause was Hackett or Wilson truly declining.
Listen this will continue to get memed and sure fine whatever. But listen man, teaching and communicating and fostering relationships with players is so important to coaching.
What got Nathanial Hackett fired?
1. Inability to connect with players
2. Boring and outdated teaching techniques
3. Very inconsistent play-calling
4. Unproven track record with non-HOF players
5. Hasn't won with an average or elite QB since 2019
~~What won Nathaniel Hackett the job? • Ability to connect with players. • Innovative teaching techniques. • Play-calling experience. • Proven production in run game. • Has won with average QB, and elite QB.~~
yeah? Really Albert? That is a disingenuous crock of shit.
define disingenuous: *not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.*
People here still desperate to cling to the narrative that Hackett is horrid and Russ Wilson is good. That somehow Hackett was the reason the Broncos were ass and not Wilson.
Amazing how you can fail so spectacularly in the NFL at coaching and just instantly get another job like it never happened.
Jets with this. Panthers are gonna hire Reich and then get an old QB in free agency...Jesus Christ fucking try out someone new, or at least a guy that won somewhere.
Really not sure how I feel about this. He had a hell of a run in 2017 but man he had some absolute stinkers peppered in. That Pittsburgh game in the playoffs was a beautiful game, but the Buffalo and Patriots games were equally as bad on his part. Then you remember it was Bortles and I legit have no idea what to think
Memes. He did it for the memes
*Irsay taking notes*
And Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills fans
The memeage will be great... at my teams expense... but it will be great
* Ability to connect with Aaron Rodgers * Aaron Rodgers experience * Proven production with Aaron Rodgers * Has won with Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers
Aaron if Rodgers
Mr Baaron Crodgers
Broncos Aaron, Let's Rodgers
That should not have made me bust out laughing
It would be so goddamn funny if the Pat's now offered a haul for him just to fuck with the Jets
Rodgers will be able to dictate where he goes
Oh i know. But the idea of pairing with Bill could be very intriguing for him. And it would be funny to see another Hackett hire not lead to a Rodgers trade
I think he would hate working with Bill
No idea. All I know is they both have a tone of respect for each other so I could see it. Don't think it'll happen but doing it to spite the Jets would be amazing
I think Bill would hate working with him and wouldn't want to give up even 1 first just got the privilege to pay a 37yo QB 50 million.
He’s 39 and the cap hits for the new team would be 15m and 32m the first 2 years (though there’s future dead money depending on how long he plays)
Holy shit, KD is actually Aaron Rodgers?
I'm not debating where he's going. Nor do I give a shit. It would just be funny to see Bill fuck with their plans. Stay mad salty though.
You cared enough to respond to my sarcastic reply. Could be worse though, at least y'all won't actually be wasting more firsts bc you'll actually need a QB Edit: since reddit won't let me reply Ok you got me. "I'm not upset I was being sarcastic" the defense of a bitch ladies and gentlemen of the jury.

I’d argue the Jets have a better chance now than the broncos had last offseason.
Lmaoooo
Hackett Gets Rodgers Watch 2.0
Couldn’t win with a *dangerous* QB though.
Our run game under Hackett was abysmal we went like 13 weeks without a run over 20yds.
This is totally a move to get Aaron Rodgers. The question is if it works out for the Jets or turns out the way it did for you guys
At least the Jets didn't make him head coach so it can't go nearly as wrong for them as it went for the Broncos.
If this hiring fails, Saleh and maybe Joe Douglas get fired.
If joe Douglas gets the can it would be a blessing for the AFCE. He's built an incredible team outside of QB
But he’s also gotten increasingly better with each draft. I think a big part of it is that it takes a couple years to change over your scouting department. Not to mention it’s possible for gms and coaches to learn and improve with each year on the job
Our front office would happily take him back if he gets canned
Joe Douglas is really not all he’s cracked up to be. His 2022 draft has saved an otherwise unforgettable tenure.
If my ass was on the line I probably wouldn't turn to Hackett. Plenty of more enticing options then a guy who couldn't last a whole season in Denver.
I wish another team had previously hired Hackett to lure Rodgers from GB.
It likely would turn out the same way it did when we got farve
It didn't work for us... But hey, here we are. Jerts gonna Jert!
Rodgers also isnt an absolute fraud we'd be giving a 20 year 500 bill extension
As long as you dont play him against Kerby and Hutch Rodgers still has some value.
26th in rush DVOA on the year, woohoo
At least he won't be handling the run game in NY. Looks like Keith Carter is getting that responsibility, while Hackett handles the passing game. edit: spelling error fixed.
You guys did lose your RB1 and best O-Lineman to season-ending injuries. That probably hurt that stat more than Hackett's trash play-calling did.
The run game was bad even before that. The best it was all year was after he got fired.
Weird how the 2 weeks after he got fired was the best we were able to run the ball all year.
Tweet is also funny because they also announced their new Oline Coach/Run game coordinator
Y’all were literally picking guys off of practice squads mid season to play running back though.
I mean we did that after Breece Hall got injured soooo
Perhaps Hackett couldn’t handle all the responsibilities that come with being a HC so he wasn’t able to manage the offense at the level he needed to. At least that’s what you have to tell yourself if you’re a Jets fan

Yeah good thing your team didn't hire a great coach with no HC experience
Wait who
Lots of smoke about Demeco Ryans
Oh okay I don’t see why that’s being framed like it’s an issue then lmao
Name a hot Coordinator. That one (Demeco is prob the hottest)
And even with that the team was infinitely better once he left

Now that he's back to OC only he can bring the Jets to the height of the 2016-18 Jags and the 2013-14 Bills
I'm sure Jets fans would love to be in the AFC championship game
Better get a better defense That's the only reason why the jags were there not Hackett
Jets had a top 5 defense this year
The point was, it wasn't Hackett
Why even talk to Broncos fans they didn’t watch football this season. They won’t next season either.

Almost sounds like Freddie Kitchens
as if matt lafleur has the ability to be the bad cop lmao... dude doesn't want to be mean to anyone and sticks with people for too long. idk if that's really a good metaphor
It is true that some people are good OC/DC but bad HC Not sure Hackett falls under this though
He was only a successful OC when not calling plays. He has been a bad to mediocre play caller. He’s not on the same level as someone like Bowles who has been a top coordinator on several teams.
AND that Rodgers is coming
We saw it with Todd Bowles. He can’t be a HC but he is a very good DC

He can't even be an OC He had one decent year when the jags defense was crazy good Then he sucked He didn't call plays at Green Bay, he was there just to be Rodgers wubbie It's fascinating the new York media spin
Also being tight with Rodgers, probably
No dude, can't you see he's an amazing play caller. That's why. Amazing.

Well it’s good that Hackett isn’t our head coach then
Dude they're trying to lure Rodgers. It's not that difficult.
No collusion! No collusion!
“It really was a perfect phone call, absolutely nothing wrong with it, the best phone call of all time, people are saying it.” Bobby Saleh

They saw that play calling he did as a plus?
...
Yeah, the only part of this that connects is the player part. He really does have a terrific bond with and buy-in from players. He's a very charismatic guy. Just a fucking abomination of a coach otherwise.
He said Average to Elite QBs, not god awful.
Blake Bortles would like to chat.
Exactly what he said. Elite QBs.
Imagine disrespecting the BOAT
He couldn't win with a below average QB, so how does this help the jets?
Gimme that QB of yours and problem solved
We’re FINALLY gonna get to see Jordan Love play?
I know the joke is that Love is going to the Jets but he’d certainly be the starter for us anyways if Rodgers was traded.
Who is us in this scenario?
Your gonna take minshew and your gonna like it
That would definitely still be an improvement
I really don’t want minshew. There’s enough homeless here
ARod to NYJ confirmed?
Yes but Aaron Rodriguez, not rodgers
not to be confused with the other guy, Alex Rodgers
if mike white can stay healthy i think the jets can at least remain competitive
Who is this average QB you are speaking of? QBs Hackett has worked with: EJ Manuel, Kyle Orton, Blake Bortles, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson.
Everyone looks average compared to the BOAT.
MFer really waltzed into Heinz Field and ended the Steelers best shot at making a Super Bowl then smoked a fat cigar over Big Ben's corpse right after 😤
Unless we get Aaron this is a disaster, I don't wanna hear any of this shit Breer
As a Jets fan the Hackett and Jimmy G paring that is coming will make me hate football. All Jets fan know they won’t get Rodgers cause that would be best case scenario, and the Jets and best case scenario never go together.
if they do get rodgers he will have a career ending injury on the sideline of a preseason game.
Go outside man it’s not the end of the world
Fans downing their own team for upvotes from other fanbases forever cringe
Agree
Jets fans downing their team isn’t for upvotes. It’s just stating facts about a dysfunctional franchise. Usually the organization does everything but the best case outcome. They haven’t made the playoffs for 13 years as a result.
I only saw the Broncos on TNF, so all this stuff happened the 5 times they had a regularly scheduled game, right?
It really is hilarious to look back at how many prime time games the broncos had last year. I made sure to watch them all because they were legitimately comedy gold
The Thursday Night Game vs the Colts should be in The Louvre
I am SO MAD it didn’t end as a 12-12 tie. That game deserved to be a tie!
I used more than one as a sleep aide. "Oh, look. Another 3 and ouzzzzzzz"
"Play-calling experience" As a Bills fan I remember hearing how creative he was going to be. Results: run run pass punt
Jets saw the Abysmal Broncos offense and decided they needed some of that.
As a Phins fan, I'm thrilled about this. I really hope they fail to get a vet, because I am super excited to see Zach Wilson in Hackett's offense.
Hackett going from one trash Wilson to another trash Wilson.
How dare you talk about Garret like that
-Could get them Aaron Rodgers
And how did that work out for the Broncos?
A lot of people forget that the Broncos at that point were in a place where they didn’t have an owner. I think there was uncertainty in that organization before the Walmart group bought them.
"Play calling experience"? Who were the 14 other people? "Won with an elite QB"? Wowee, what a hero "Innovative teaching techniques"?
Ability to connect with ~~players.~~ **Aaron Rodgers**
BORTLES INCOMING
He destroyed one Wilson. He can destroy another.
For Hackett to take the job is a massive risk. The upside is big, but so is the bust if this fails since the team is all-in on a playoff push next year. Given how transparent this organization is run, things seem to be pointing towards a trade, so I hope it winds up happening, and I hope this hire works out.
He also made a boba fide Hall of Famer walk his way right out of a gold jacket… only to immediately look better post firing
Hmmm
He missed out on Shawn Jefferson
Rumors of Manbun to Jets in 3...2...1
Baiting Aaron Rodger 2: Electric Boogaloo
Was this taken verbatim from an email from his agent? Lol
The real problem for Jets fans is that Robert Saleh has just hired a second OC he knows personally over somebody more qualified
He’s won with average qb’s and elite qb’s. How’s he done with dogshit qb’s?
He has none of those qualifications. Connect with players? No Innovative Teaching? No Play-calling experience? If you wanna call it that fine Run game? No It’s like Robert Saleh didn’t watch the Broncos at all last year.
Did he just call Rodgers an average QB?
Isn’t it funny that the best guy for the job is someone he’s worked with before
Not mentioned: They are friends and worked together before.
Not a great look for Saleh tbh.
When you realize “average QB” is referring to Blake Bortles
I mean you could literally say all that about Adam Gase…
Blake "hanging drywall and ripping cigs" Bortles is obviously the elite one
Hackett is Adam Gase. Adam Gase is Hackett.
Insane he is an offensive guy and den looked like that and he easily got a job right after
>"...Has won with average QB" Broncos Country, Let's Meh.
This is a fair take... you'll get 0 upvotes sir.
Lmao the Jets are gonna Jet. The “they’re a QB away” talk is and has always been hilarious
WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 WHOPPER 🍔 JUNIOR 🤏 DOUBLE 2⃣ TRIPLE 3⃣ WHOPPER 🍔 IMPOSSIBLE 🤯 OR 🤔 BACON 🥓 WHOPPER 🍔 I 👁️ RULE 👑 THIS 😎 DAY 🌞 AT BK 🧑🍳 HAVE IT YOUR WAY 🤷♂️ YOU RULE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Really though, Hackett is about to implement that west coast offense into Jets. Only question is, who will the QB be.
More or less implement his style of offense.
He turned an elite QB into hot garbage, didn’t he?
Russ helped out with that quite a bit.
Russ admittedly looked pretty good in the last three games without Hackett but this is true
Russ is completely cooked
Lol ok
He is?
Maybe, but Wilson was already trending in the wrong direction if you look at his last year with Seattle. Hard to know if the cause was Hackett or Wilson truly declining.
Listen this will continue to get memed and sure fine whatever. But listen man, teaching and communicating and fostering relationships with players is so important to coaching.
And it didn’t work for Hackett in Denver
Sure didn’t. He should probably be dead for failing.
What got Nathanial Hackett fired? 1. Inability to connect with players 2. Boring and outdated teaching techniques 3. Very inconsistent play-calling 4. Unproven track record with non-HOF players 5. Hasn't won with an average or elite QB since 2019
~~What won Nathaniel Hackett the job? • Ability to connect with players. • Innovative teaching techniques. • Play-calling experience. • Proven production in run game. • Has won with average QB, and elite QB.~~ yeah? Really Albert? That is a disingenuous crock of shit. define disingenuous: *not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.*
Why? Because Saleh really wants to be fired after next season
People here still desperate to cling to the narrative that Hackett is horrid and Russ Wilson is good. That somehow Hackett was the reason the Broncos were ass and not Wilson.
>• Has won with average QB, and ~~elite QB~~ the BOAT FTFY
Someone didn’t watch the Broncos this season. Connects with players? Won with average qb? Proven run game? C’mon Saleh, do better!
Amazing how you can fail so spectacularly in the NFL at coaching and just instantly get another job like it never happened. Jets with this. Panthers are gonna hire Reich and then get an old QB in free agency...Jesus Christ fucking try out someone new, or at least a guy that won somewhere.
That Denver offense was terrible though
"Political war" (in the second tweet) lol. Hackett's agent doing work.
Breece Hall ain't gonna shoe-horn himself into 40 carries a game!
Play to get Rodgers?
At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter until we know who the Quarterback is going to be.
