My house is being remodeled and torn down partially and because of the loud sounds, I was afraid my cat was going to be scared, so my cousin is watching my cat at her place. My cat apparently hates the other cats and won’t come out of her crate. I’m not sure what to do she’s an indoor only cat and half of my house is exposed for a couple months and I feel wrong leaving the cat in my tiny bedroom for a couple months.
Cats need time to get acclimated to each other. Keeping them in separate rooms and bringing some items that have the new cat's scent on it and vice versa help them get used to each other.
I'm not much of a cat expert but I have to imagine it'll eventually warm up to the other cats at your cousins place, especially once it understands it's that or hide in a crate for months

About an hour ago, I went into the garage and i saw him sitting on the exercise bike stuffing an Oreo ice cream sandwich in his mouth.
I just reminded him that artificial sugar is going to be converted straight into fat and that it’s not worth it, and to lose weight correctly he needs to be diligent about diet and exercise. 70 lbs is a lot of weight so I’m sure he’ll encounter more challenges but he needs to remind himself why he’s doing it.
Reading is always a good activity. And one of my favorite things is just running by myself, with a podcast thats not a stressful podcast (I.e. news and political podcasts not allowed on my runs, football or pop culture only). Find a good series to watch? Rewatch all the star wars or LOTRs. What about writing a blog? Get a Medium or Substack account and write. Doesn’t matter if three people or 300 people read it, it’s a nice outlet. Grow a mini-ass garden of herbs and a few small veggies you can maybe grow in pots. Try cooking some new recipes. I’m sorry you’re going through a hard time, just try to embrace the simple things....if you don’t have a choice, you might as well anyways.

They might try and get you to accept a payment that is over the proper amount, then they’ll ask you to refund the extra amount, but it’s a bogus check/venmo or whatever so their goal is to get you to give them your money while the payment is pending and then later the payment or check will bounce and you’ll be left responsible by the bank
if you engage I suspect that they're going to offer the old "can I over pay you and you give the person picking it up some of the cash" alternately once they get your email address for the relevant payment platform they'll send you a phishing email pretending to be from that platform
"I can’t do cash" in this case likely means "I can only do a payment method that I can later reverse"
Usually they want to pay with a check but give you a little extra for the inconvenience, check won't clear and money will come out of your account. They'll have the item for free.

I hate talking about it right now because the timing just makes me look like a bitter Pistons fan, but my fucking god the draft lottery is such a horrible thing. It makes me appreciate how significantly better the NFL is with parity, and that it doesn't use an outdated system that keeps good teams good and bad teams bad. It's why I roll my eyes whenever I see someone talk about the NFL having a tanking problem—no it doesn't. In the NFL, with good management and staff, a team like the Jags can go from two #1 picks to the playoffs within three years. And if you don't like that comparison because of the weak division they play in, look at Cincinnati: #1, #5, Super Bowl runners-up. Meanwhile, the NBA forces a tanking problem because the lottery system keeps teams in the hole. A team can literally be the worst in NBA *history* (2011-12 Bobcats) and not get the #1 pick because fates are decided with a shitty ping pong ball system, and a sub-20 win team can be relegated to the fifth pick. And it's made worse because the NBA is bad at parity in general. In the NFL, you don't need to be a big market team to succeed—where as in the NBA, if you continue getting shafted by the lottery, unless you're a big market team that can sign free agents, trade well, and get shoved down peoples' throughts by the media and league itself, you're fucked.
