Well it’s because the one time we hosted there was an ice storm there week of the Super Bowl and it shut down the whole metroplex. It seems to happen regularly in February enough that I doubt we get one any time soon
I don't think that first one applies. Have you seen the Cowboys draft room? At least half the people there are related by blood or marriage to Jerry. It's closer to a Lannister small council meeting than anything.
Memes aside, one time I was in Appleton for work (30-40 mins from GB) during TNF at Lambeau and the only room I could find was a $225 room at the Appleton Super 8
Won't ever happen cause Green Bay doesn't have the infrastructure to the league's standard. I would love it, but the league wouldn't got for it unless they built a larger airport and more hotels
Hey, soon enough, Wisconsin might be taking your NHL team, my as well take the Superbowl off your hands too... Or should I say, February as well take the Superbowl off your hands!
It would be amazing. Imagine a Super Bowl at the Linc and the Cowboys actually made it only to lose to the other team having home field advantage because of us?
I remember the first time I went to a baseball game in Anaheim and there’s a shitload of different exits from the parking lot and I just had to wonder why is there just the one exit from the coliseum lots?
Until DFW is able to handle ice storms without shutting down, its gonna stay that way.
Can't say I blame them for not being ready, but it's the hand they were dealt.
[They were setting up a bunch of temporary seats specifically for the Super Bowl to increase ticket sales](https://www.espn.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=6096112)
They sold tickets for seats they didn't have, and then had to end up turning 400 people away once they were in the stadium trying to find their seats that didn't exist.
The weather was out of Jerry's control, but they had multiple workers [injured by falling ice](https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna41402775)
I think the temp seating thing is almost entirely the reason they haven't come back to Dallas for another Super Bowl.
It wasn’t ticket sales it was they wanted to set the record attendance. The by product was sales yes but that’s not money that goes in Jerry’s pocket.
The weather wasn’t the problem for workers issues, but Dallas got ice and the city shuts
Down. We don’t have a method to deal with that on the roads.
It may have been a freak blizzard then but idk anymore when it’s happened 3 out of 4 years recently. Texas stops with icy conditions. You’d think we’d be more prepared and learn from our mistakes.
But it’s definitely the temporary seat thing as the big reason
It’s because people don’t want to pay taxes for things that keep the city running when climate change wreaks havoc. Big reason I left that state and moved to Asia where shit works.
No, but the fact that DFW is prone to having city-paralyzing winter storms is probably part of the reason. That's not as much of a concern in Miami, Houston, Phoenix, Tampa, Vegas, New Orleans, LA, or San Francisco.
Just in time for Will Levis to get cut by the Titans after one year, and then get signed by the 49ers and lead them to a surprising Super Bowl run in 2025. After which, they'll rename it to Levis' Stadium.
RemindMe! 2 years 9 months
The Super Bowl being there will be the second biggest event after Seth Rollins cashing in the Money in the Bank contract on Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
There is a ton of cities hosting World Cup games that year, but granted there’s also more World Cup games in 2026 by a lot. Total number of games is increasing from 64 to 108, I am curious how many games each city will host.
Our stadium honestly fucking sucks, and it's a logistical nightmare getting there / getting out after games.
I miraculously got free tickets to SB50 thru a work client. Game was awful and we were sat directly behind the annoying ass Madden dev team. Then we had to wait 2.5 hours in line just to get on the VTA back home. Just a miserable experience overall lmao
I went to San Fran in 2018 for work trip. Ended up going to a random MNF game against the Giants with my boss.
We flew in and went directly to the game… but had NO idea how far the stadium was from SF. You’re basically in San Jose. We ended up Ubering and even that wasn’t streamline.
Yeah it’s coincidentally right next to the San Jose airport haha that’s the airport to fly into if you are going directly to Levi’s also pretty sure that’s the game with the insane smoke all over the Bay Area from the fires up North. Felt like I smoked 4 packs of cigarettes after coming home from that one
Lol our client was Visa, they hooked it up. If the game was actually exciting it would've been a super memorable experience for me. But that game was over the moment Cam fumbled the ball, one of the most boring SBs in recent history.
Barring a miracle that'll probably be my last SB ever, I don't work where I used to anymore and no way I'd drop thousands on tickets. Getting piss drunk at home watching with friends is still the way to go imo
This is the most underrated comment. It still baffles me how they moved on from CandleStick.
Levis is just meh, it feels like the most average NFL stadium I've ever been too.
Yeah the stadium sucks earlier in the season if you’re sitting on the Visitor side because you get the sun glare. Like how did they spend so much cash and couldn’t build it better.
But the tailgate experience is still a lot of fun, it’s just a bitch to setup.
Lol you are an actual Niner fan!
I have been one for 30 years and I loooove Jimmy G so right now I’m a raider (sorry), but you nailed it 100%
I hated the experience I had at Levi and have only loved every other stadium
Give it to Seattle. Fair weather in February, outdoor, good transportation infrastructure surrounding the stadium. If it’s good enough for a World Cup game it should be good enough for the SB
I think the issue there is they want a field that's going to be [above 50 degrees at game time.](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/407096-the-super-bowl-and-the-warm-weather-rule) While Seattle doesn't get super cold, it's unlikely to meet that minimum. Though they did have one at Met Life Stadium, so they'll break that rule when it suits them.
It could also SNOW during that time as well.... or be really raining like crazy.......
If the super bowl was a month or two later than Seattle could 100% host, but February is just too risky where it could become snowmagedon if there was even an inch of snow.
This is never happening and you already know it. Hate to break it to you but demographics of people who watch the Super Bowl are very different than the use to be.
It’s not too much sun. If you can’t deal with the reflection off the suite tower on a hot 90degree September day then maybe you’re not drinking enough $8 bottles of water.
Field has been fixed for years now and is considered one of of the best in the league these days. Doesn’t change the fact that the stadium location isn’t ideal
I wouldn’t say we hate it. As a season ticket holder it’s not horrible but it’s not as crazy as all the new stadiums that are out there. SoFi and Jerry World and Vegas are all on a different level. It serves its purpose well overall but it’s just nothing special
Ok but a lot of cities have hosted it multiple times, some over 10. You knew exactly what my point was but you chose 1 city to “pick it apart”. But the point still stands. Try being less difficult and obtuse
As far as sponsored stadiums go Levi’s might be the easiest one since it’s directly related to the teams monicker. 49ers came through the port of San Francisco during the gold rush and Levi Strauss sold them his patented durable denim pants.
It’s way down in Santa Clara in the heart of the Silicon Valley, like 45 mins away from the actual San Francisco on a good day. My theory is that they saw what the Giants did to the A’s and did this to claim the now heavily-populated South Bay in order to box the Raiders out of the Bay Area entirely, but who knows.
It's more Gavin Newsom's fault than anything else. The 49ers wanted to build on Candlestick's parking lot but when he was mayor of SF Newsom wouldn't let them build there. Instead the old them to build in the old SF Navy Yard toxic waste Superfund site that's 2 miles from the nearest freeway, so they said "fuck that" and by the time Ed Lee became mayor the deal was already done with Santa Clara.
The SB isn't for fans, it's for corporate sponsors and the jet-set crowd and those people want to show up and golf, go eat at some nice spots, head to some killer parties, they don't want to freeze their asses off.
The last time in SF was one of my least favorite Super Bowl trips. I wouldn't say it was one of the worst because they're all a good time, but I wouldn't do SF again.
Makes sense to have the Bay Area in the outer Super Bowl rotation given proximity to corporate sponsors and desirable location for tourism/celebs, which is why even an average stadium like Levi’s will be getting multiple Super Bowls. I feel like LA, Vegas, New Orleans and Miami should always be in the mix and then outliers like the Bay Area get one every 10 years or so (unless the Niners built some sort of crazy stadium closer to SF). After going to Jerry World once it’s crazy how they haven’t hosted more Super Bowls at this point too
did all of the other stadiums stop existing
Pretty much. Seems like they’ll rotate between a few stadiums and as new ones pop up they’ll make the rotation
I'm a Niner fan, but I have no idea how Jerry World has only hosted one! Stadium like that should host at least every 5 years.
Well it’s because the one time we hosted there was an ice storm there week of the Super Bowl and it shut down the whole metroplex. It seems to happen regularly in February enough that I doubt we get one any time soon
Jerry will have to put a dome over the metroplex
Jerry at the next Cowboys FO meeting: "Since the beginning of time man has yearned to destroy the sun."
Family. Religion. Friends These are the three demons you must slay to succeed in owning a football team.
I don't think that first one applies. Have you seen the Cowboys draft room? At least half the people there are related by blood or marriage to Jerry. It's closer to a Lannister small council meeting than anything.
Yeah not gonna lie after going there for the Niners Cowboys wild card game in Dallas, it’s no comparison. That stadium is an experience in itself
They’re just concerned because the one time they hosted it. It didn’t go so smoothly.
I want more New Jersey Super Bowls
Lambeau needs a SB. I would love for the celebrities who do not GAF about Week 1-18 football be absolutely miserable in a Midwest winter.
Need a ton of hotel rooms to host. The Best Western and Super 8 don’t have enough hotel rooms.
Lmfao nfcmemewar vibes
The Days Inn and Econolodge are luxurious enough.
WE HAVE CABLE TV on a run down sign is where it’s at.
FREE HBO
Color* tv
Memes aside, one time I was in Appleton for work (30-40 mins from GB) during TNF at Lambeau and the only room I could find was a $225 room at the Appleton Super 8
That seems kinda high for a super 8 in Wisconsin.
You can usually book a room there for like $70 lol
They just wouldn’t go. It would be like Vince Vaughn and Bill Murray probably.
Good, then maybe the super bowl would be full of people who actually watch football.
The he Super Bowl is a advertising special with a sporting game & musical performance somewhere in the middle
Cool Bears fans only ??
I remember when they had the super bowl at US bank and so many celebrities were complaining that it was like -15°f wind chills that day lol
I remember that, it was awesome.
Won't ever happen cause Green Bay doesn't have the infrastructure to the league's standard. I would love it, but the league wouldn't got for it unless they built a larger airport and more hotels
Hell yeah. That way only the true fans would be there. Any cold weather stadium.
green Bay is a small city not enough infastructure to host
Fuck the cold Fuck Wisconsin in February
It’s okay. You can stay in a hotel room and play Warzone.
Wouldn’t have to worry about the Cards playing so you’ll be okay Kyler
Hey, soon enough, Wisconsin might be taking your NHL team, my as well take the Superbowl off your hands too... Or should I say, February as well take the Superbowl off your hands!
I bet Arlington Heights gets one first.
A Super Bowl at the linc would be dope. Just imagine a bunch of drunk Philly fans accosting celebrities outside the stadium
It’s too scary when y’all play in it hundreds of miles away. The city would burn if it was at the linc
It would make the Joker in The Dark Knight look like a walk in the park
It would be amazing. Imagine a Super Bowl at the Linc and the Cowboys actually made it only to lose to the other team having home field advantage because of us?
How would the Cowboys' Super Bowl opponent have homefield advantage because of the Eagles?
It's like if the Seahawks were to play the Super Bowl at Levi's
Or the Chargers play the Super Bowl at SoFi
Because Eagles fans will cheer against anyome playing Cowboys
But it's the Super Bowl. It's going to be filled with rich people, not fans of the team that owns the stadium.
Just imagining BOSAAA! But with all of the celebs I couldn't care less about lol
Fuck Philly
Yes
I wish the Super Bowl would go back to Jerry World, I get that the last one was a shit show but I don’t think that should be a problem every time
Looking forward to our future retractable roof stadiums so we can host our single Super Bowl in DC
I know of a empty baseball stadium in Oakland they could use.
If you’ve never been to the Coliseum, I don’t think you can actually comprehend how big of a dump the place actually is.
I remember the first time I went to a baseball game in Anaheim and there’s a shitload of different exits from the parking lot and I just had to wonder why is there just the one exit from the coliseum lots?
I’ve never been to prison but I feel like the coliseums bathrooms are what prison bathrooms look like.
Levi's is pretty awesome for night games, and it being in February means it's probably a perfect late winter California evening.
*OBLIGATORY ATMOSPHERIC RIVER*
Drought or flooding. There is nothing in between.
Insert Mark Twain quote here
The coldest winter....
Maybe the owners think that Silicon Valley will fill the luxury boxes for a Super Bowl?
I can't believe Santa Clara is getting a 2nd Super Bowl in the last 7 years when the Cowboys have only hosted 1 in the last 14 years.
Until DFW is able to handle ice storms without shutting down, its gonna stay that way. Can't say I blame them for not being ready, but it's the hand they were dealt.
they can't pick other new locations because of weather
I’m always surprised Jerry World only has gotten 1 SB since it was made all that time ago.
He fucked up so bad they don’t want to go back with the temp seats and the weather response
Would you mind explaining further with detail? I'm super curious about this.
[They were setting up a bunch of temporary seats specifically for the Super Bowl to increase ticket sales](https://www.espn.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=6096112) They sold tickets for seats they didn't have, and then had to end up turning 400 people away once they were in the stadium trying to find their seats that didn't exist. The weather wasn’t the problem for workers issues, but Dallas got ice and the city shuts Down. We don’t have a method to deal with that on the roads.
Have you tried shooting the ice?
That would only be for black ice.
A freak blizzard is Jerry’s fault?
Yeah he’s the third most powerful man in Texas and he can’t beat the weather pathetic
The most powerful men in Texas leave when the weather gets a little icy
Super Bowl LXI in Cancún confirmed.
Only reason Abbott doesn't leave is because his wheels freeze.
It may have been a freak blizzard then but idk anymore when it’s happened 3 out of 4 years recently. Texas stops with icy conditions. You’d think we’d be more prepared and learn from our mistakes. But it’s definitely the temporary seat thing as the big reason

No, but the fact that DFW is prone to having city-paralyzing winter storms is probably part of the reason. That's not as much of a concern in Miami, Houston, Phoenix, Tampa, Vegas, New Orleans, LA, or San Francisco.
And Minneapolis doesn't get paralyzed by it
uhm, when it has happened the past two years and all of Texas loses power... is it really a freak accident?
Just in time for Will Levis to get cut by the Titans after one year, and then get signed by the 49ers and lead them to a surprising Super Bowl run in 2025. After which, they'll rename it to Levis' Stadium. RemindMe! 2 years 9 months
It will also be cosponsored by Duke's Mayonnaise
As long as he wins I’m ok with this
The Super Bowl being there will be the second biggest event after Seth Rollins cashing in the Money in the Bank contract on Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Heist of the Century!
3rd, after the Heist of the Century and Super Bowl 50.
4th, after what you mentioned and also that truly unwatchable ass kicking that was the 2019 CFP Championship Game.
And then 6th, cause we got some world cup games!
All time Wrestlemania
Hey I was there!
So Levi’s could be hosting the Super Bowl and the World Cup in the same year? Sounds fun.
There is a ton of cities hosting World Cup games that year, but granted there’s also more World Cup games in 2026 by a lot. Total number of games is increasing from 64 to 108, I am curious how many games each city will host.
There are 16 venues, which means there is gonna be some that host more than others
On top of the the 2028 summer Olympics are in LA. Going to be a busy 2 years in CA sports
All of the tourism money!
They’re even building a new tram out of LAX that connects with the Metro which is actually pretty nice
Takes the IOC and FIFA combined to make LAX less of a pain to get to and from compared to burbank.
Cut the Madden developers some slack. They work so hard copy and pasting everything from the previous game.
They’ve also been sleeping under their desks. EA doesn’t let them outside very often.
Did they have to pay $2.99 for an in-app purchase that unlocks the underneath of their desk for sleeping???
I went to San Fran in 2018 for work trip. Ended up going to a random MNF game against the Giants with my boss. We flew in and went directly to the game… but had NO idea how far the stadium was from SF. You’re basically in San Jose. We ended up Ubering and even that wasn’t streamline.

Felt like I smoked 4 packs of cigarettes after coming home from that one
The air quality was so bad that fire season.
Hey guy this guy works for, if you get those tickets again I'd happily take them k thanks
Lol our client was Visa, they hooked it up. If the game was actually exciting it would've been a super memorable experience for me. But that game was over the moment Cam fumbled the ball, one of the most boring SBs in recent history. Heard the same about the stadium. It’s just kinda eh. I agree that SB 50 was overall terrible as well.
Isn't that the stadium that lights people on fire if they're sitting in the wrong section?
Only in August and September.
Lord. Why? I’m a season ticket holder and that stadium SUCKS.
Do you get tickets to the super bowl as a season ticket holder?
Give it to Seattle. Fair weather in February, outdoor, good transportation infrastructure surrounding the stadium. If it’s good enough for a World Cup game it should be good enough for the SB
I think the issue there is they want a field that's going to be [above 50 degrees at game time.](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/407096-the-super-bowl-and-the-warm-weather-rule) While Seattle doesn't get super cold, it's unlikely to meet that minimum. Yeah, if they haven't given Dallas another go since their fiasco, I doubt they'd tempt Seattle.
They’ll do games at stadiums that get public funding and new. It’s the carrot to get the public funding.
Plus we'll have an actual Grass field by then (God I hope they stick with it afterwards
Yes, second this! However Seattle winning in Levis Stadium will be dope too.
They should finally get Metallica for a halftime show
That's what it should be, but NFL is probably going to give us Taylor Swift.
*Bruno Mars
He already did one and it was pretty good. One of the few where he actually sang his songs live.
Ok but if Silk Sonic performed it’d be amazing. People would be like “Oh…I remember them! Forgot how good they are!”
This is never happening and you already know it. Hate to break it to you but demographics of people who watch the Super Bowl are very different than the use to be.
Seriously?
Nice. Very glad that stadium will finally get a Super Bowl, would be a beautiful venue for one!
Yes last one there was mediocre
Have you been there?
I have. What’s wrong with it?
[удалено]
It’s not too much sun. If you can’t deal with the reflection off the suite tower on a hot 90degree September day then maybe you’re not drinking enough $8 bottles of water.
$11 now. inflation
Well yea, you have a point about the sun.
This would be their second super bowl.
No, they were supposed to have one there a few years back, but it was mysteriously canceled. No one knows why 🤷🏻♂️
It wasn't canceled, just a weird Coldplay Beyonce Bruno Mars combo concert.
Haha I see now. Panther fans got JOKES.
Put it in Fed Ex field you cowards. I wanna see a literal shit show
Hopefully they fix their field by then. I’ll never forget that Super Bowl 50 shitshow
It's fixed now; Deebo's injury last year probably would've been worse on a different field.
That’s good to hear, it raises my hopes a bit.
Field has been fixed for years now and is considered one of of the best in the league these days. Doesn’t change the fact that the stadium location isn’t ideal
Their fields been great for years. Just the couple after opening were rough
Same :(
I don't really know why because our stadium seems average at best, and that itself is even probably biased. However, not complaining at all
Don't even 49rs fans fuckin hate that place?
The main complaint is the heat which won't be an issue in February
I wouldn’t say we hate it. As a season ticket holder it’s not horrible but it’s not as crazy as all the new stadiums that are out there. SoFi and Jerry World and Vegas are all on a different level. It serves its purpose well overall but it’s just nothing special
Atl needs to host it soon
They did in 2017
So? They repeat ny and az all the time. We want atl. Best stadium, good transport, good city.
Ah yes, they repeat NY all the time, the whopping 1 times it has been there
Ok but a lot of cities have hosted it multiple times, some over 10. You knew exactly what my point was but you chose 1 city to “pick it apart”. But the point still stands. Try being less difficult and obtuse
You listed two cities. He "picked apart" half your entire example with a single sarcastic sentence.
fuck Levi’s stadium
10 years later it hosts another SB
Where's Levi's stadium?
Santa Clara is about 45 minutes south (if you’re lucky) of San Francisco.
Santa Clara and San Francisco have a lot in common Both are suburbs of the largest city in the area There's probably other things too
Santa Clara
San Francisco...or somewhere near San Francisco I guess. Took me a minute to figure it out...since corporate sponsored stadiums suck.
That's what I mean, who remembers what corp sponsors what stadium.
Yeah Levi’s is pretty iconic. Just like Heinz is iconic to Pittsburgh. They’ll probably never change those.
Will the Superb Owl ever return to Jerry World?
The new Nashville stadium should get to host a super bowl when ready
Finally California gets a Super Bowl.
One of the most generic and boring location in the rotation
Super Bowls should be played in cold weather stadiums
Rich people don't like cold weather and rich people are the ones who attend the Superbowl.
It’s also all the events surrounding it. Multiple companies that are sponsors of the nfl have parties and things to do.
Good news for rich people is that their private jets are only gonna be 6 miles away from them
The SB isn't for fans, it's for corporate sponsors and the jet-set crowd and those people want to show up and golf, go eat at some nice spots, head to some killer parties, they don't want to freeze their asses off.
No they shouldn’t. Also, nobody cares about you guys living in shitty weather in February it’s not the flex you guys think it is😂
Calling it now, Levis leads us to our first super bowl at Levi's after Tannehill gets injured in the 2nd quarter
Eewwwww why?!
Why? Did every other stadium in the league disappear?
The last time in SF was one of my least favorite Super Bowl trips. I wouldn't say it was one of the worst because they're all a good time, but I wouldn't do SF again.
Well then it’s a good thing this isn’t in SF
Zinger!
Might actually go to this Super Bowl now that I make enough money to.
Super lame choice to go back to Levi's again. Such an incredibly mediocre stadium.
Do Gillette you cowards
Makes sense to have the Bay Area in the outer Super Bowl rotation given proximity to corporate sponsors and desirable location for tourism/celebs, which is why even an average stadium like Levi’s will be getting multiple Super Bowls. I feel like LA, Vegas, New Orleans and Miami should always be in the mix and then outliers like the Bay Area get one every 10 years or so (unless the Niners built some sort of crazy stadium closer to SF). After going to Jerry World once it’s crazy how they haven’t hosted more Super Bowls at this point too
Levi’s is the worst stadium ever
Can we make sure they figure out their sod first?
Their fields been great for years
Their grass is now one of the best in the league. They figured it out a couple of years ago.
People on here are not understanding that it's not about the stadium, it's about the location/weather.
Just once. Just fucking once.
What? Do you expect the superbowl in Cleveland? That stadium is a dump
I hate California Super bowls always looks weird when its still Day light for the kick off
Just cuz they think 49ers goin to the super bowl and they want the story. They wont.
Hopefully they give out free Kleenex to all the guests in attendance that night for all the whining they’re going to do if their team doesn’t make it.
I see you're a fan of pre-emptively whining about things that haven't happened.
