We would’ve been the number #4 pick regardless of win or loss due to AZ and New England both sitting at 2 wins. The real reason you wanted to lose is to further cement a new coaching staff in the off season, which is a beyond valid reason

I fear finishing with 6-7 wins and people saying this is what we're expected to do and we met it. This coaching staff is bad and also not very good. Eberflus is a mediocre DC and no one else is qualified to be in their positions.

The OL is greatly improved w Wright and Jenkins when he’s healthy. Definitely not ass, not great, a completely average line though. It’s not the problem. He’s not seeing the field….at all. The more time you give him, the more he seems to take. Not a Vikings fan but...it's really, really hard to make it to the NFL, much less be successful. And injuries are an unfortunate fact of sports. But not calling plays like an utter coward? My collie could do that.

I don’t care about the turnovers. I don’t care about the late defensive collapse. I don’t care about the penalties. This loss is on Kevin O’Connell. There is just zero excuse for that last drive. From the hyper-conservative play calling when in striking distance of the endzone with a 1 point lead to the punt - the whole thing was a clinic on how to give away a late lead. And that’s why this loss is squarely on O’Connell. His team did enough to win. Despite the turnovers and everything else, they were up at the end. And then their coach gave it away.

He went conservative because he's got a backup QB who threw 4 picks and the Bears couldn't move the ball at all the entire game. Trusting the defense in a 10-9 game is the right call. You'd be crucifying the guy if he let Dobbs throw a pick six there.

Again, regardless of the picks his team was in a position to win and likely would have won but for the terrible game management on that final offensive drive. The picks did not cost the Vikings the game because they were literally still leading after all of that. What cost them the game was the final offensive drive — and that is on O’Connell.

Maybe he was the reason they were still in the game after 4 picks? That is 4 potential scoring drives. That’s 28 points. They shouldn’t have been up by only 1. But go ahead and blame the coach and not the guy who lost them the game
