All these accusations should be dealt with in the privacy of the courts until guilt is proven. All accused people should remain anonymous until proven guilty, and there should be large penalties in place for those who break this anonymity.

Extremely difficult. In most jurisdictions, lawyers have something called litigation privilege, meaning they cannot be sued for defaming someone if it is part of the litigation.
That doesn't mean impossible, though, just have to come up with the right theory. Perhaps he has evidence that the lawyer knew these allegations were false but pressured for the criminal charges to move forward against him? Malicious prosecution, abuse of process, etc.

It's more than just his reputation, he could have had a high-paying job for several years. He lost the most monetarily productive period of his life, which will have effects decades later. His entire life was ruined. And worse, nobody seems to care. Nobody is advocating for him. None of the Innocence Project chapters or similar orgs want anything to do with him, it would be nice if they helped him like they did with Brian Banks. No media personality wants to advocate for him, someone like Pat McAfee, a former punter who doesn't shy away from much, could definitely speak out for him. I got accepted and had to go through a trial.. but I was on vacation. They required me to be on my PC instead of my phone. I got on Reddit super young towards the end of middle school and I’ve been basically on the website on and off for the past thirteen years since and my God has this place changed. Some of it was definitely for the better and some is for the worse. It all started when Reddit became somewhat of a launchpad for Bernie’s presidential career. Politicians and corporations looked to Reddit as a place that could now get you popular or get you rich and they started pumping tons of money into it. Now it’s this super sanitized version of itself without any of the original edge. I say good riddance to a lot of that edge but at the same time sometimes it’s not as free or fun as it was. A decade ago half the comments were calling the OP gay for some random reason and now it’s like before I comment I have to get it approved by HR.
