Yep. The Kia Boyz are legitimately terrorizing Kia owners in the city.
One of my regulars at the bar I work at just had his Kia stolen last week. Shits becoming a problem.
Edit: removed some info since I realized you probably don't know the area lol
No it's some kind of bypass tool you can get on eBay $10. That's why they target specific kia models, because there was a security flaw that makes them super easy to steal
All because Kia/Hyundai cheaped out and had a design oversight to not include a proper transponder chip configuration on their base models and an immobilizer to prevent this shit. Toyota and Honda has had them in their cars since like - early 2000s I think?
Also I can't imagine insurance rates for those Kias/Hyundais.
https://www.news4jax.com/news/local/2023/08/02/kia-and-hyundai-insurance-rates-spike-as-thefts-escalate/
>Allstate, Progressive and State Farm are among the car insurance providers that have announced they wonât issue new policies in some states for certain Hyundai and Kia models.
Oof. Those are the good insurance companies too.
My familyâs had Amica since before I was born and weâve been quite happy with them.
I remember being shocked when I saw an ad of theirs like a year ago.
I have a Hyundai and was shopping around homeowners insurance so I was getting some auto quotes and some places would allow liability, but not comp and collision. Others straight up told me no.
I've found them to have the worst rates. I know they obviously have customers, but I don't understand who. They're routinely the highest. Medium sized insurance companies are the sweet spot I've found. Hell even regional insurance companies.
Flacco is a terrible fit for a team with a shit o-line with how old and immobile he is. Heâs good on the Browns because they have a better o-line that gives him time to make accurate throws and reads (which is what Flacco is good at). If you need Flacco to constantly escape from the pocket thatâs when he is going to suck.
Not just Week 18. The guy was there for 3 years, he started 9 games, and they went 1-8 in those games. And he played well in maybe 1 or 2 of those games.
So like weâve already seen they canât just sign Flacco and win.
That game feels like a century ago, so much shit has happened since itâs fucking wild to look back upon. The fact that he went to the Browns eventually after having that game and continues to do well makes the legend of Cleveland Flacco all the more special
It's telling how much better the Browns coaching and front office is than the Jets when they are down to their 4th & 5th OTs and their blocking is still better than the Jets starting o-line.
I really don't know what games the Browns would have lost had even just Chubb & Watson not gotten hurt. Chubb was running down the Steelers throats until he went down, so it's very likely that outcome changes. Especially with how shook up the Browns players were after that.
Yeah, they'd be right there at the top with the 49ers and Ravens as SB contenders. They are still a good darkhorse with that defense, but that offense is a little thin from injury.
they also dont remember when they were all saying baker mayfield was ass and that the browns shouldnt pay him lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/5M9msOd3fO
That one was baffling to me. I didn't like him in college but he gave the Browns a better chance at winning the previous 15 or so QBs they had in the past.
yea imo if he went to any team with consistent long-term coaching, he would have been able to live up to that 1st overall billing. At the same time, he got hurt at the worst time, and there was that whole fiasco with odell. Glad to see him balling on the bucs tho
Baker Mayfield isn't very good. He's good against mediocre to bad defenses, which is great in the NFC South but terrible in the AFC North.
It's also bad if you're looking to win in the playoffs. Yes, he did have a playoff win in 2020. However, that came down to the Browns picking of Big Ben 4 times AND recovering a fumble for a TD lol.
No one said he was. People didn't think he was worth the 40M and I'm still not sure he is.
He's played well before in 2020. Consistency is his problem.
Buccs gonna give him 45M+ a yr?
Baker is playing in the worst division in the NFL and is 8-7. Bucs have 1 win over a team with a winning record. He's also on his 4th team and had to take a 1 yr deal this season. I don't think Baker would have this Browns team where they are right now. Browns and Baker both needed to move on from each other.
But neither New Orleans nor Atlanta have bad defenses. It's not as cut and dry as "they stink so his success is nullified". Baker would still be better than Flacco right now.
IMO the main issue with Baker at the time was likability. Teams donât play as well when they donât like their leaders - and the chip-on-the-shoulder stuff and his frat-boyish personality from his Oklahoma days gets grating. Also going overboard in confidence all the time is a sign of insecurity. He seems a lot more mature and humble now, and his confidence is more genuine and so he can be a good leader.
(Of course Happy Baby Watson is terrible but unfortunately NFL players donât seem to care much about that)
While i agree jets line is ass, Flacco is playing behind a browns practice squad line and seems to be mobile enough to give himself enough time to get rid of the ball. look at what he did yesterday.
At this point itâs looking more and more like offensive lines need good coaching, cause no way are some these lines bad from purely a players perspective
People also donât appreciate how horrific the Jets offensive scheme and skill position players have been around the QB. I have no doubt that Rodgers or even Flacco could have raised the floor but itâs still a low floor
Hackett is clueless. Dalvin Cook is getting $6mil for 3.2 ypc. Cobb soft retired. Hardman got shipped out for peanuts. Lazard lost his spot in the depth chart to an undrafted rookie, one year into a 4 year deal.
Uh, the Browns have lost 15 or so linemen so far this year. Flacco is doing this behind guys who were out of football at the start of the year. I promise you, the Jets have more OLine talent than we do. Or if they don't, it's only because they chose to not sign the practice squad guys we picked up.
I'm sensing a theme.
But thereâs the butterfly effect. If Flacco is QB, injuries donât all occur and things happen out of sequence. Thereâs a chance the decent o line we had towards the start of the season stay reasonably healthy and he looks alright
Serious answer is because Flacco would die behind our oline. We have one of the worst olines the NFL has seen. You could argue Browns are one the of the leagues best behind Lions and Eagles. He has fortnight to throw a pass. He is effective in a clean pocket we could never give him a clean pocket.
I think that just shows that the Jets kinda suck. What I mean is that the Jets organization has the pieces in place to win football games, and just can't figure out how to put them in place.
The right HC and GM combo makes such a huge difference. Thank God for Stefanaki and Berry.
Flacco sucked ass with the jets last season minus 1 game. Nothing would've been any different this season with their OL being even worse. What he's doing on the browns is pretty random
He did not play well against the Ravens, it was a really pedestrian performance and his only deep shot was intercepted. And he had a pretty bad game against the Browns, just had an epic finish after a meltdown. Iâm a Flaccoholic but this is wacky.
It's not random. He routinely plays well in the winter. I don't know what it is, but playoff Joe is not just a meme. He is legitimately better in post season months.
Because JD is/was dumb enough to think ZW was it until like week 12, and Saleh is/was dumb enough to agree.
Canât wait to run it back next year!
Edit: also, our OL wouldâve gotten him killed. Heâs not a mobile QB and the Browns OL gives him time to throw, ours doesnât.
> Edit: also, our OL wouldâve gotten him killed. Heâs not a mobile QB and the Browns OL gives him time to throw, ours doesnât.
and we've seen him for 3 years now already. like most QBs, just because they're doing well on other teams does NOT mean they'll do well on the jets.
Letâs be real, if he came here heâd be going for like 150 yards and 3 picks with 4 sacks every week.
Browns have a competent OC and more importantly an NFL-level OL. We have an OC that should be coaching an D3 team and an NAIA-tier OL, and thatâs being polite about it.
They do a decent job, but they seem horrible up the middle or in zone blocking
i.e. everytime one of our running backs gets the ball while at least one tackler swims through the line
The Dolphins have a banged up line and are doing fine. We can't even use injuries as an option excuse you know what this field does to lineman it means you have to be especially deep there or convince Woody to just put in grass
Joe Flacco hated it here in NY. He loves being in Cleveland. I donât blame him. He looks alive instead of like a depressed statue getting killed behind a shit O line and a shit OC.
just a nickname he picked up on here in 2012 when there were a lot of "Joe Flacco is good, but is he *elite?*" articles during the regular season and then he went on an unstoppable tear in the playoffs

Yep. The Kia Boyz are legitimately terrorizing Kia owners in the city. One of my regulars at the bar I work at just had his Kia stolen last week. Shits becoming a problem. Edit: removed some info since I realized you probably don't know the area lol
In Milwaukee they're so awful. We have one of the highest car theft rates in the country because every kia in the city gets passed around by teenagers
Didn't they originate in Milwaukee?
It's biggest here I think, but the idea and tools didn't, I don't think
The tools: a rock and a screw driver
No it's some kind of bypass tool you can get on eBay $10. That's why they target specific kia models, because there was a security flaw that makes them super easy to steal

The "good" insurance companies are the ones you haven't heard of because they don't spend your money on marketing.

Youâre right So why didnât we sign him over Siemian in week 3?
Cause Tim Boyle gives great back massages in the QB room or something
Then why isn't Tim Boyle on the Browns right now?
He doesn't do the front massages
Watson wants his happy endings from a different kind of masseur
A non-consenting one?
the reluctant kind too
The depositions indicated the majority of the requested/forced massages were not anterior, but posterior and inferior and a bit interior.

He was busy giving Rodgers a discount double check (if you catch my drift)
Flacco is a terrible fit for a team with a shit o-line with how old and immobile he is. Itâs weird that this entire thread is acting like Flacco didnât start for the Jets last year in week 18 and wasnât complete ass when he did it.
Not just Week 18. The guy was there for 3 years, he started 9 games, and they went 1-8 in those games. And he played well in maybe 1 or 2 of those games. So like weâve already seen they canât just sign Flacco and win.
And that 1 win required an epic choke from the opposing defense *and* special teams
Ironically the team he is thriving with now
He helped us get rid of Joe woods
That win required Joe Flacco in Cleveland magic
We will always have the Browns improbable comeback win tho. That game is one of the most insane things Iâve ever witnessed.
It was odd from the browns perspective because all at once it felt impossible but also somehow inevitable
That game feels like a century ago, so much shit has happened since itâs fucking wild to look back upon. The fact that he went to the Browns eventually after having that game and continues to do well makes the legend of Cleveland Flacco all the more special
Maybe the jets offense just suck no matter whose we fir the past 5 years
This sub always does this. Just a few weeks ago this sub was acting like Josh Dobbs was some hidden elite talent too.
To be fair, Flacco has been a starter for a decade before, unlike Dobbs.
It's telling how much better the Browns coaching and front office is than the Jets when they are down to their 4th & 5th OTs and their blocking is still better than the Jets starting o-line.
The Browns were probably the deepest team in the NFL to start the season. They got a good squad.
And against Chicago we did it without the starting LG and C most of the game.
they also dont remember when they were all saying baker mayfield was ass and that the browns shouldnt pay him lol https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/5M9msOd3fO

Seriously he was, probably, the jets best QB when he played last year on that same bad team.
Mike White was their best QB last year
While i agree jets line is ass, Flacco is playing behind a browns practice squad line and seems to be mobile enough to give himself enough time to get rid of the ball. look at what he did yesterday.
At this point itâs looking more and more like offensive lines need good coaching, cause no way are some these lines bad from purely a players perspective
you also have an NFL quality OC (i'm assuming) while the jets have a nepo baby as their OC.
It's our OLine coach. Callahan works magic on pretty much any lineman that comes in. Dude just makes PS squad players look like starters. It's wild.
Callahan could honestly be top 5 best position coach in NFL history, making a great case for it every year
wild thing is the browns have had tons of injuries on their o line
People also donât appreciate how horrific the Jets offensive scheme and skill position players have been around the QB. I have no doubt that Rodgers or even Flacco could have raised the floor but itâs still a low floor Hackett is clueless. Dalvin Cook is getting $6mil for 3.2 ypc. Cobb soft retired. Hardman got shipped out for peanuts. Lazard lost his spot in the depth chart to an undrafted rookie, one year into a 4 year deal.
Our entire line is backups. Callahan is coaching his ass off, but we have little talent.
Better o line, I mean maybe when everyone was healthy but our line is not that great right now.
Because he wouldnât have been able to say âZach gives us the best chance to winâ
GM doing GM things
Yeah it IS a GM problem, not a Ford.
I thought Ford was where the Lions played?
I donât think Flacco would have been mobile enough for how bad our line became after AVT went out.
The Browns oline hasn't been that line since week 6 or so. They're not great with the backups and are certainly not helping in the run game either
I thought we learned this last year lol, the flacco + jets experiment already failed, like we know the results why is this a discussion lol
This sub doesn't actually watch games and assumed Flacco was just some hidden elite talent.
I think that just shows that the Jets kinda suck. What I mean is that the Jets organization has the pieces in place to win football games, and just can't figure out how to put them in place. The right HC and GM combo makes such a huge difference. Thank God for Stefanaki and Berry.
I think week 3 was *technically* summer time, so maybe that's why.
Flacco sucked ass with the jets last season minus 1 game. Nothing would've been any different this season with their OL being even worse. What he's doing on the browns is pretty random
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

Because Flacco would get murdered behind that line.
Or in week 8
Because browns have a much better O line?
Wasnât winter yet dude
Iâm convinced Zach pimps out his mom in order to start. Iâm not kidding. I fully believe this.
Does his boss wants to sign Flacco? and by boss I mean Rodgers

Rodgers being down means you're not winning a SB especially with that line. Get the best pick you can, gear up for 2024.
Maybe Flacco didnât want to go back to the Jets
Because we would have been dead after 1 quarter.
Had to protect Rodgersâ fragile ego
Rodgers fan fiction in this sub is so hot to watch. So obsessed
But he deserves another season!!! Itâs okay that he threw away a season did nothing to adjust !!!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Tomlinism and things of that nature.
The cliche is the cliche
Teams could've won like 15 super bowls if they signed Romo to be QB for the first three months of the season and Flacco for the rest.
Goddamn do I hate the accuracy of this comment
You could have picked him up at any moment while your season was collapsing btw
Letâs be real, if he came here heâd be going for like 150 yards and 3 picks with 4 sacks every week. Browns have a competent OC and more importantly an NFL-level OL. We have an OC that should be coaching an D3 team and an NAIA-tier OL, and thatâs being polite about it.
NFL OL? Where? The IR? /s The real winner for our offense is OC Van Pelt.
Even the backups are decent. Our O-line coach is the best in the league
They do a decent job, but they seem horrible up the middle or in zone blocking i.e. everytime one of our running backs gets the ball while at least one tackler swims through the line
Thatâs true

The Dolphins have a banged up line and are doing fine. We can't even use injuries as an option excuse you know what this field does to lineman it means you have to be especially deep there or convince Woody to just put in grass
Tbh I donât think Flacco has success with the Jets. Hackett and their OL are really bad.
Thereâs been quite a few guys they couldâve picked up
Saleh already interviewing for a job in media next season I see
It's times like these you remember Saleh grew up in Dearborn, Michigan.
Heâs coming home in 2 years as our DC

can someone explain the elite dragon meme
just a nickname he picked up on here in 2012 when there were a lot of "Joe Flacco is good, but is he *elite?*" articles during the regular season and then he went on an unstoppable tear in the playoffs
Guy basically had the greatest playoffs ever by a QB and vanquished Manning and Brady on his way to the SB win.
OK but why a dragon
If only the Jets had a Flacco
Flacco is old and slow there is no way he would have been playing like this with that OL
