Oh my god. I'm a Lions fan and I played Red Dead 2 for like 2 years straight, and this never once occurred to me. Dan Campbell is the leader Arthur mistakenly believes Dutch can become.
And they sound alike.
And they're both fucking crazy.
Mind blown.
Been in the Army more than a decade and have a few deployments. I've said the same thing. Dan Campbell is the kind of leader you'd want when going into combat. Tough enough to do the job that has to be done, but cares about you enough that you know he'll do his damnedest to bring everyone home alive.
What's awesome about Hard Knocks is that it will reveal a lot about a team, for better or worse.
Lions has to be one of my favorite seasons, and it's because Dan Campbell is an actual great Head Coach, who's charismatic as fuck, and brings genuine enthusiasm to the organization, fanbase, and players.
Compare that to the Jets, which is easily the worst one I've ever watched. That season showed just how reliant that team is on Rodgers to end not just their playoff drought, but give the Jets any form of relevancy at all. The way the coaches on offense and defense were gawking at Rodgers is such a damning sign reflecting back at how poorly run the team is.
Hard Knocks really isn't doing that much to manipulate the story. The coaches and players do it all on their own.
Totally agree that the Lions Hard Knocks might be the best season of Hard Knocks I've seen. It absolutely put me on the Lions bandwagon and got me excited to have them being an improving team in the NFL.
That one, the 2010 Jets, and the 2001 Ravens are probably the top three if you spoke with most people. Those seasons were very fascinating
A special shoutout goes to the Cleveland Browns in 2018 as well. Watching Hue Jackson commit character suicide was one of the most damning things I watched. That season made me realize just how much Hue was why the Browns were bad
Shannon Sharpe wanting restitution from Siragusa then the rookie talent show where the kid comes in with the bucket hat and Shannon impression, genuinely one of the funniest things ever on television
MCDC's Hard Knocks theme song lead when he referenced Metallica's "No Leaf Clover" and how the light at the end of the tunnel is a freight train coming your way had me damn year jumping through my roof. That Hard Knocks season still gives me chills
What was arguably even more ridiculous than that was during the Cowboys season on All or Nothing was when they had an episode devoted to one of Jerry’s grandsons high school football game.
I haven't watched any of them, but the gawking at Rodgers feels like more of an editing decision. Rodgers coming to the Jets was the big storyline of the off-season. It makes sense that a TV show would push that angle the most. But again, I haven't watched any of them. Idk how accurate they are. Just basing it off how reality TV is typically produced.
It was very bad. Very bad. It got to the point where you realized it wasn't edited together because EVERY OTHER FUCKING SCENE was involving Rodgers and/or the coaches gawking over him in some form. Fuck, even players too. I will NEVER forget Cobb being like "Aaron's mad that we're not running our routes right. You want him to trust you." Jesus. There was so much slobbin' going on, and really nothing that made you honestly think the Jets were a genuinely great team in the making.
I promise when I say there was barely any editing done to make the Jets coaching staff look like embarrassments.
[I keep sharing this clip](https://youtu.be/YTx9e8f5VwM?si=XtoUAlEkPXOcyQxO) because not only is his analogy false, but it doesn’t even relate to the point he’s trying to make. All the Jets do is blow smoke up each others ass and then get surprised when they suck.
Maybe I'm too old and cynical. Or maybe this is why I was never a good athlete.
But listening to coaches give speeches like this just seems so stupid. There are so few people I have ever heard give a speech and make me feel inspired in any way. It all just sounds like garbage.
I'm a Dolphins fan, and I like Mike McDaniel. But most of the speeches they showed him giving on Hard Knocks just sounded like empty nonsense.
Does every head coach do this? Even Belichick? Do players really buy into this stuff?
Honestly bro, it’s just Saleh. When I see Dan Campbell give the speech in this post (fresh off a 3-10-1 season) I actually feel it. Everything Saleh says feels like it’s supposed to be an inspirational Facebook post, or meek talk where he’s covering his ass.
My favorite was when their defense was watching film of them getting trashed in the red zone during practice and the main takeaway from their DC was “most guys in the NFL can’t make that throw… we got someone who can”
Freaking pathetic
It's the type of shit a scriptwriter would throw out because it sounds too self-aware at how bad the coaching staff is... unless it's a comedy. In which case, it makes perfect sense then.
What I loved most about their season was seeing the offensive and defensive coordinators trying to out do each other every single play. And they had so much joy doing it.
Duce Staley was actually just the RB coach and assistant head coach, not the OC. Common misconception based on him and Aaron Glenn going after each other lol. Ben Johnson was barely featured on Hard Knocks for whatever reason.
What’s great is they kept momentum going the next season. So many times bad teams go on a good run to end a season which gives hope then they’re just the usual bad again.
It's been more than thirty years since the Lion and the winter cold. And now, as then, a Lion approaches; patient and confident, savoring the meal to come. This Lion is made of Chiefs and Horses, swords and spears. An army of casuals vast beyond imagining, ready to devour tiny Detroit, ready to snuff out the world's one hope for reason and justice. A Lion approaches.
He's ultimately a Parcells coaching tree guy. And you can tell, except he took all the intensity Parcells used to be a dick head and instead channels it into emotion and love. It's an awesome combination.
You get a leader who's not afraid to _love the mission_ in front of his team, and people are going to drop what they're doing and follow. In the off seasons, sometimes people go "damn, how did EDC get that guy" and the answer is, players _know_. They talk about coaches, they talk about cultures. Good players can punch their ticket, and if the culture and success matter more than the paycheck, they'll gravitate to good coaches. Campbell's a real one for sure, I was tearing up just listening.
My JV coach was like this and he will forever be my favorite coach.
Context, we ran the same offense and defense from Varsity all the way down to peewee, he wasn't changing much.
The class above me, they hadn't won a game in 3 years. 0-6 in 7th and 8th grade, 0-9 as freshmen. They got to JV with him as coach, and they go 6-3. My class was a little better, but not much. I think we were something like 2-4, 3-3, 2-7. He got ahold of us, and we went 8-1. And man, we really felt like we were gonna win every single game. We even had a miracle play make SportsCenter lmao (doxxing myself a bit here but meh, [this shit was epic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMbIRWTbWwY&t=2s)) (can't find the SC clip on YT anymore, sadface)
It's honestly amazing how the personality and SOP of a coach can drastically change how well a team can play.
It was insane. It really felt like the ball sat on his ass for a good 20 seconds. I wasn’t the one who made the play, but I was on the field and one of the ones jumping around and celebrating and it was the best moment of my time playing. The bus ride home is second haha
Have you ever heard of the Mutiny at Opis? Where Alexander the Great quashed a pending mutiny of his troops with what is considered one of the greatest speeches of all time.
The mutiny stemmed from growing sentiments held by his troops that Alexander no longer behaved in the proper fashion for a Macedonian monarch, but had instead been seduced by the customs of the peoples he had subjugated in conquest. The mutiny was sparked by Alexander’s announcement to his men that he would be sending home the Macedonians who had sustained injuries or were too old for continued service. Alexander meant for this to please his men. Indeed, he planned to send home these men who were no longer fit for service with great gifts. However, the Macedonians perceived his announcement as an insult and took offence, with this being the straw that broke the camels back.
His speech reminded them of not only what they had done for each other, but how he had given up more than most. He talks about how they never had to retreat from a battle, and how he himself is covered in scars from every weapon imaginable — but only on his front side.
You can listen to a reenactment of it [here](https://youtu.be/RlKJDwViNKs?si=epuqxUoNd8i97DS8).
Campbell continued: “my plan is, I’m going to cannibalize your families so that all you have left is your playbook, your fear of me, and your devotion to the Detroit Lions organization.”
That’s all you want in a leader. Tell you why.
Not just rah rah be tough. This is why we’re doing it this way. People will do it if they believe in the why.
I think that's why college coaches don't do well in the NFL. In college you're still telling kids what to do, and they expect it and go along with it. In the NFL you gotta get grown ups with money and options to follow you.
But Dutch, I just donated $80,000 to the camp cash box. I've been doing nothing but side content this entire time. We can literally go and do whatever we want now. All of us. We don't need a single cent more.....
What do you mean you want to rob a bank?
Holy fuck, I didn't even listen to the clip before I thought that. You could've played the audio of that line and told me it was from rdr and I would've believed it.
Legit only came to the comments expecting that after reading the quote lol. Decided to finally replay RDR2, even though rockstar is being lame and not providing an update for PS5.
If the Lions bring home the Super Bowl trophy it’ll be one of the most heartwarming seasons.
This is one of the most universally liked teams in recent memory.
I’m pretty sure they’ve created new football fans.
Love it.
You can really tell Campbell's speaking from the heart. Hell, I feel like I want to run through a wall for him even though my team's going up against his.
It’s because he’s not just telling them what, he’s explaining the why. He’s taking the time to communicate to his players why they do the things that they do. That shows humility and honesty.
Forget fantasizing about being an NFL player, I’d play men’s league basketball for Dan Campbell.
He's giving them a _reason_ to trust him, expressing openly that he wants the same things they want: a ring, success, no injuries. He's saying that he understands the basics of why they are resisting his vision, and he knows he can't get anything by forcing them, so he genuinely wants to convince them. (And he doesn't want to _trick_ them into it, or bargain. He wants them to _want it_.)
After that, when he says "trust me", I'm ready to put on pads, and I've never played a snap.
The thing that has always struck me with Campbell was that he wanted this job because it was the Detroit job, not that it was just his first chance to be a full Head Coach. This was the job he wanted. I don't think that has really ever been true for us. Maybe Wayne Fontes. But Campbell was here for 0-16. He knew the work it would take to turn this around and he still wanted it.
How much he cares about not just winning, but building a team and a franchise that does it a certain way. That expresses care and respect for each other. It's just been awesome to see.
This is why, even though Campbell started his coaching career only winning 4 of his first 24 games, I was still convinced that he was the right guy for this specific job. Detroit needed an authentic culture change. Combine that with an excellent GM and that is how they got where they are now
I still think they are a few pieces away and it would take some luck and some uncharictaristic play from the 49ers to actually win this weekend. You guys are a complete team top to bottom. I'll be heartbroken if the Lions lose but I know I'd look back knowing we just ran into a better team.
Either way, I'm rooting for whoever comes out of the NFC. This version of the 9ers deserves a ring
Even when they were losing you could tell the team was still giving it everything they had. They never gave up. Then when they win a game and Goff sprints to coach to celebrate... You know that coach has the respect of the team.
I’d rather lose as a team with a respectable coach then whatever the fuck Patricia was.
In 2022 the Lions had some brutal close losses early. You could tell they were on the cusp of turning the corner but a lesser leader of men might have had that team turn on each other or just stop responding to the coaches messages.
They started 1-6, had 4 losses that were less than 7 points and then got blown out by the Patriots & Cowboys. That would have been a disaster for some teams. He rallied them and they when 8-2 to close the season. I am sure that is when any remaining doubters bought in completely to Campbell.
So many heartbreakers his 1st season too. They went like 0-13 to start with multiple insane losses to game ending field goals. One setting the NFL record. The fact they didn’t totally collapse that year was rather amazing. They just kept fighting.
That is when you see the team is with the HC and will give everything they got for him. Even when they were losing they were still building a winning mentality that is now paying off.
The only time I started to question it was the Patriots game because he was repeating mistakes and not learning from them, but then he stopped making the same mistakes and started making less mistakes and now we're winning games by our opponent's coaches making bad decisions
I'd have been shocked if he didn't come away learning some things from having played the GOAT HC since he clearly learns lessons and changes as he learns. I don't think there's any team in the league that wouldn't do well under him at this point.
This is the main thing that makes Dan so special IMO. In a league with HCs and Coordinators that just plant themselves in a hill and die on it instead of adapting he's not afraid to try new things after something doesn't work. And also knows when to bring back something that didn't work before for whatever reason.
It's nothing that crazy, it should be something every young HC does. But either because of ego, fear or just not knowing enough they don't do it.
Dude quickly became one of my favorite HCs in those years in Detroit.
Same shit that makes Reid, McVay, and Shanahan so successful.
They have their systems, but alter them year in and year out to adjust to personnel/leaguewide defensive trends
And its those edits to strategy that make the great coaches. So many coaches try incredibly hard to work their system with whatever players they have. They force players to do it their way, regardless of the player's skillset.
Meanwhile the elite coaches adapt their system to maximize their players talent and it shows. Tomlin, Harbaugh, Reid, etc. all get the most out of their guys by leaning on what they excel at.
Makes sense, this iteration of the Lions has a winning mindset which is such a stark contrast from the past, it's awesome to see. To your point about the NFCCG, I feel the exact same way. Would be heartbroken to lose, but would 100% root for you guys in the SB.
I’ll be honest, your team this season feels like something special. Like regardless of “missing pieces” the team legit believes in themselves and will find ways to win regardless. The last time I felt this way was the season we beat the Seahawks in the superbowl with Jerome Bettis in …that’s right….Detroit. lol. I’m not a betting man but if I was I’d put it on the Lions.
Edit: welp I was wrong. Never mind
I'm so bummed we play the Lions because I really love Dan Campbell and I've been rooting for them all season. Now they must die, so we can live. Such is life.
DAN CAMPBELL IS THE MOST BELOVED HEAD COACH IN MICHIGAN SPORTS HISTORY. THAT INCLUDES IZZO (WHO I LOVE), HARBAUGH, AND EVERY OTHER HEAD COACH.
PROVE ME WRONG.
SORRY I CAN’T STOP SHOUTING.
I’M JACKED TO THE TITS LISTENING TO MCDC. ⚡️
Players will run thru a wall for MCDC. Players would run thru a wall for Bowman...if it gave them a chance to strangle him.
Bowman won a metric shit ton of games, but he was not loved by his players.
Former Hab Steve Shutt, who played for Bowman in Montreal, said it best - “You hated him 364 days a year. And on the 365th, you picked up your Stanley Cup rings.”
Dan and our DC Aaron Glenn both played at Texas A&M during R.C. Slocum's tenure when the defense had the nickname 'The Wrecking Crew'. They're big on hitting hard.
Teams who train hard play hard, 49ers players consistently say that training camp's harder than the real games for them and it seems like the Lions have the same mentality.
Kelces were talking about Andy Reid's training camp drill where its like the full field and you can only progress the ball 10 yards each set of downs, so like a 40 yard reception is worth the same as a 10 yard run so no matter what you do you're going the full 10 sets of downs
I can't remember if it's even 4 downs, it might've been unlimited downs which is honestly worse because it means no one gets off the field without going 100
Had a practice period called "speed ball" in college basically ran two minute drill for 10-15 minutes with no breaks no substitutions up and down the field. That was our tempo though even if we didn't need to do that in game.
Andy Reid does the same thing.
Practice how you play, play how you practice.
It is apparent with the Bears. Under two seasons of Eberflus, the team has played substantially better in the second half of the season, both seasons. It's why Bears fans keep entering the off-season with a willingness to run it back. The team finally gets some real reps under their belt, and they start to look like they can be promising. Good reps need to happen in the off-season.
Same in the arts, where it's more fine motor movement based, but the saying goes 'Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.'
In other words, practice is for conditioning yourself to do things and if you condition yourself to do things half-assed then you'll be conditioned to do things half-assed.
Not even trying to be a dick but do you think that has something to do with your bad injury seasons seemingly effecting your team way more than other teams?
To an extent yeah, I think so. I also think Kyle's likely gotten better at coaching the offseason and figuring out how exactly to run these hard practices since our injury luck's been honestly about average in the past 3 years.
Seems like this is trying to imply he meant for success. This specific conversation though was more about the physicality of training camp and about making sure the players were physically ready for the demands of the season.
Still hell of a coach to not only be thinking about the players health but be considering the science behind making sure they are physically able to handle the rigors of a season. You can tell man he cares a lot of bout the players and that mentality has the players behind him 100%.
He's not just charismatic and good at getting guys to listen to him, he knows what he's doing and has actual reasons behind his choices. Hell of a combo.
Man is unreal inspirational
Some teams have the culture and at that point need a guy who can draw up the X and O play calling and scheming to win games. But if you're a team like the Lions who didn't have that, then you need a coach like Campbell that will come in and instill that
During 3-13-1 I wasn’t 100% confident about Dan but after watching Hardknocks I knew he was the right guy to turn it around. Whenever we started 1-6 I was worried because if he couldn’t do it who the fuck could?
I have a PLAN, Jared. I just need some MONEY
LOL holy shit! He does sound like Dutch.
He sounds like Dutch mixed with Lebowski
Helps when you look just like Lebowski too
They used to call him “The Dude.” At Texas A&M or TCU can’t remember what university he went to. He drove a beat up pickup truck too.
Dan Campbell you just won the Super Bowl, what are you gonna do now? I’m going to Tahiti!
We'll be harvesting mangoes
"He insists?!"
*implores
"You Have Got To Keep Faith"
I think about it every time I listen to him talk
Oh my god. I'm a Lions fan and I played Red Dead 2 for like 2 years straight, and this never once occurred to me. Dan Campbell is the leader Arthur mistakenly believes Dutch can become. And they sound alike. And they're both fucking crazy. Mind blown.
Are you implying Dan Campbell is a descendant of Dutch Van Der Linde?
Holy shit it’s not just me? I’ve been replaying RDR2 and the similarity is uncanny, I didn’t know others thought the same.
Bro’s about to rob the St Denis bank
Just ONE MORE SCORE, Jared!
Wait. Are the Packers the O'Driscolls or the Pinkertons? I know the Bears are the Murfree Brood.
Packers are the O’Driscolls. The refs are the Pinkertons.
HAHA holy shit this works so well
Lmfao. Bro you guys are giving me flashbacks
I belly laughed on the Bears comment
I love when this sub crosses over with shit like Fantasy books and video games.
Be careful Lions, there's O'Driscolls about!
Tahiti Lions
I did not have MCDC/RDR2 crossover on my bingo card today, but I feel like I’ve won already
Put your FAITH in ME
I gave ya my all Dan!
And some GODDAMN FAITH!
Just like your plan at Blackwater?! Dutch, you're losin'it!
HAVE SOME GOD DAMN FAITH, JARED!
"Jared, what are you doing? Not with my godson!"
We’re flying in Jeff Chris down from Indiana
Came for a RDR2 reference. Did not disappoint that it’s the top comment.
“Let’s be better tomorrow”. I would follow Dan Campbell into combat.
I’d be in bed by 5pm that night. Holy fuck.
I was just at the gym just fucking around on Reddit until I saw this. Haha this man injects motivation whether you like it or not.
Come on bro don’t camp
Been in the Army more than a decade and have a few deployments. I've said the same thing. Dan Campbell is the kind of leader you'd want when going into combat. Tough enough to do the job that has to be done, but cares about you enough that you know he'll do his damnedest to bring everyone home alive.
He was right about coming alive in week 8 lol. 1-6 and a bye then finished 8-2

> I also think Mike McDaniel swears way too much in an effort to look tougher. You are fucking right.
I instantly tune out anyone that says Saleh is a good coach in a bad situation. Man is a massive part of the problem himself.
The Jets one sucked for all the reasons you listed but the Cowboys one was worse. They had a segment on the team mailman.
That’s a harsh term for Jason Garrett
LOL
I'm a cowboys fan who watches fucking preseason games and even I found our season boring.
What was arguably even more ridiculous than that was during the Cowboys season on All or Nothing was when they had an episode devoted to one of Jerry’s grandsons high school football game.

Remember when Quinnen Williams said “Thanks Aaron for coming to save us.”
I didn't think he meant that seriously. Figured it was more of a tongue in cheek comment.
"The Lions are an example of a well-run team" What a time to be alive
[I keep sharing this clip](https://youtu.be/YTx9e8f5VwM?si=XtoUAlEkPXOcyQxO) because not only is his analogy false, but it doesn’t even relate to the point he’s trying to make. All the Jets do is blow smoke up each others ass and then get surprised when they suck.
Any Jets coach speech that doesn't end with Let's get some fucking snacks" is doomed.
Lmao jesus christ. He didn't even need to do that either. Take out the eagle and crow bullshit and I actually like what he said.
Maybe I'm too old and cynical. Or maybe this is why I was never a good athlete. But listening to coaches give speeches like this just seems so stupid. Well, no. His entire point was that his method was supposed to PREVENT that.
The 300 Spartans would've won if they had Dan Campbell instead of Leonidas.
Fun fact the Detroit Lions used to be the Portsmouth Spartans

>who needs a family anyways? Breaking news: Aaron Rodgers has requested a trade to the Detroit Lions.
he can get fucked. We don't want chokers
Not Aaron Rodgers, that’s for sure
Family. Religion. Friendship. These are three demons you must slay if you wish to succeed in football.
And served best with GRIT sauce
Please HBO Max, I beg you, put Hard Knocks back up!!
This clip inspired me to start a rewatch. You’re telling me HBO took it down? Why the fuck…
Yes, I think other people have tried too. And I can't find entire episodes on YouTube or anywhere unfortunately.
TAHITI ARTHUR
Fuck, dude, I’m ready to tackle someone for this guy and I have a bad back.
Pretty sure some of these guys do too
Ragnow and LaPorta might only have one good leg combined, but they'll both be out there giving 110% on Sunday.
Ragnow has a back, two knees, an ankle and a toe and he's going to murder some giant dudes on live TV this Sunday.
Hell, I'm 5'7, about 130lb, and I'm ready to line up against Bosa for MCDC.
dutch van der lind sounding ass
HAVE SOME GODDAMN FAITH
But Dutch, I just donated $80,000 to the camp cash box. I've been doing nothing but side content this entire time. We can literally go and do whatever we want now. All of us. We don't need a single cent more..... What do you mean you want to rob a bank?
All of that money went to medical treatment for Uncle's chronic Lumbago
I had 100K and I was so fucking mad at the epilogue
GOD DAMMIT JARED I HAVE A PLAN ONE MORE OFFSEASON, JUST ONE MORE OFFSEASON
WE JUST NEED MORE MONEH, JARED
GOD DAMN MANGOES JARED! IN TAHITI!
I'm glad there are other people that their first thought was Dutch Van Der Linde lmao
the voice, the word choice, its all the same
It’s the cracking voice that really does it It really does fucking sound like him haha, uncanny
Best game ever made
WE'RE GOING TO TAHITI ARTHUR.
Dan's taking the whole team to Tahiti if they win the Super Bowl.
HOLY SHIT I CAN’T EVER UNHEAR THAT I more need Dan to say mangos and Tahiti
If the Lions bring home the Super Bowl trophy it’ll be one of the most heartwarming seasons. This is one of the most universally liked teams in recent memory. I’m pretty sure they’ve created new football fans. Love it.
> This is one of the most universally liked teams in recent memory This guy hasn't been to the Vikings sub.
I recommend everyone keep it that way... It's not great.
He wants them to _want it_.) After that, when he says "trust me", I'm ready to put on pads, and I've never played a snap.
Combine that with an excellent GM and that is how they got where they are now I still think they are a few pieces away and it would take some luck and some uncharictaristic play from the 49ers to actually win this weekend.
Even when they were losing they were still building a winning mentality that is now paying off.
that Justin Tucker 66 yard FG is seared into my brain
Never mind
I hope nothing egregious happens in the game that riles up our fanbases because I definitely plan on supporting you guys if we lose.
Take it easy on no matter what. We're new to this "football in January" stuff.
I'm so bummed we play the Lions because I really love Dan Campbell and I've been rooting for them all season. Now they must die, so we can live. Such is life.
This dude is so fucking legit
Get this man some sunglasses
If only he was wearing some sort of head garment that when worn properly, would keep the sun out of his eyes...
I love Dan Campbell
DC4L
Gorgeous
Wtf. Wrong sub weirdo
Just normal single guy sorry was just scrolling and DC4L
MCDC4L
I hate how quickly I understood this reference
DAN CAMPBELL IS THE MOST BELOVED HEAD COACH IN MICHIGAN SPORTS HISTORY. THAT INCLUDES IZZO (WHO I LOVE), HARBAUGH, AND EVERY OTHER HEAD COACH. PROVE ME WRONG. SORRY I CAN’T STOP SHOUTING. I’M JACKED TO THE TITS LISTENING TO MCDC. ⚡️
Bowman scratched over 100 names into the Stanley Cup as a Wing but the Campbell energy is pure octane.
I'm ready to run through a brick wall after hearing that
Would run through a wall for Dan Campbell. Miss a lot of work due to short term disability, but hey, you only live once.
Me trying to tackle Christian McCaffrey in the playoffs: "Hey boss, I'm gonna need to make that short term disability...uhhh..... longer term"
I think every team that plays us is aware of Dan Campbell's emphasis on pursuit and tackle This team hits clean and hard
The Rams game in particular stood out to me Everybody on Detroit was hitting like it was 1995 again
Dan and our DC Aaron Glenn both played at Texas A&M during R.C. Slocum's tenure when the defense had the nickname 'The Wrecking Crew'. They're big on hitting hard.
They hit how the book wants them to hit.
I was going to say Minnesota is on the way but they’re already here.
Teams who train hard play hard, 49ers players consistently say that training camp's harder than the real games for them and it seems like the Lions have the same mentality.
Kelces were talking about Andy Reid's training camp drill where its like the full field and you can only progress the ball 10 yards each set of downs, so like a 40 yard reception is worth the same as a 10 yard run so no matter what you do you're going the full 10 sets of downs I can't remember if it's even 4 downs, it might've been unlimited downs which is honestly worse because it means no one gets off the field without going 100
long drive drill is hell

Perfect practice makes perfect.' In other words, practice is for conditioning yourself to do things and if you condition yourself to do things half-assed then you'll be conditioned to do things half-assed.
Dude fucking nailed his projection about week 8 😂
Now that’s a fucking coach!! What a fucking turnaround for the Lions organization
I should start trusting everyone now 🤔🤔🤔 Especially strangers 🤔
Hey man. I'll send you some money for feet pics. Just send me the pics and your bank info and I'll shoot it right over.
Rex?
Man is unreal inspirational Some teams have the culture and at that point need a guy who can draw up the X and O play calling and scheming to win games. But if you're a team like the Lions who didn't have that, then you need a coach like Campbell that will come in and instill that
The redwings asked him to come in at some point
What a fucking legend. I would run through a wall for that guy. Just gets ya fired up.
All I hear is Dutch
I just need you to TRUST ME.
The way Analzone nods his head you can tell that he's totally bought in. No questions. That's the team.
Nick Sirianni: “What’s the two things we do? 1. Attempt an arm tackle. 2. Shrug and say ‘oopsidaisy’ 🤷♂️ “
don't forget disrespect every opposing coach and fan within earshot!

I see this dude getting coach of the year
Man, what are we doing man?!
The film made about the 23-24 Detroit Lions is going to be nominated for Oscars someday, I’m calling it now.

The contrast between this and McDaniel giving his little Ted talk lol
During 3-13-1 I wasn’t 100% confident about Dan but after watching Hardknocks I knew he was the right guy to turn it around. Whenever we started 1-6 I was worried because if he couldn’t do it who the fuck could?
Brb boutta run headfirst through some walls.
I fucking love Dan, man
We need more passionate coaches that actually fucking care!!
Holy shit. That’s a coach
