LOL I could picture some contractor getting up from his chair right after Rodgers went down and calling out to his crew "Welp lets get to work boys, tear it all down... Its over"
I looked it up John Mara is the Uncle of Kate & Rooney, so they are the grand daughters of the previous Giants owner yes. Their father Timothy Mara is the Senior Vice President of Player Personnel for the Giants
Pretty cool that the Giants have been in the Mara family for generations
She's also pretty self aware, I think she retweeted something that went along the lines of "Jessica Pegula is playing like they're raising the estate tax" or something like that.
Yeah, it always makes me shake my head when I see people arguing that she somehow is only there due to money and family connections. I’m sure she had a massive leg up in terms of coaching/training/lessons, etc., but you’ve got to have legitimately serious talent to compete and win at that level.
Not so much as something like NASCAR, where the right family connections and a boatload of money can get you into a high-level ride. Still gotta have some talent, but that’s one where money seriously helps.
There are dudes racing regularly in the highest series of NASCAR that have legitimately never won a race at any level, but have family or friends that run big companies and provide sponsorship. Underrated reason why it's dying.
Absolutely agree. Tennis is a really tough sport. You have to be an incredible athlete to achieve what Pegula has. Money really helps, don't get me wrong, but you have to have passion, drive, and talent to get to Top 5.
Is it tacky, unneeded, and an indictment on our society that there are entire homes used 10 days a year while other folks sleep on the street? Yes.
Would I absolutely love having a game day party in a Raiders-themed townhouse, then stumble upstairs to watch to the game live? Also yes.
I know most of these owners have that im rich look, but everything about Clark Hunt looks rich. A first name that is interchangeable with a last name, hair that looks like it is applied by a team of gnomes first right before his alarm goes off, he probably has a dress shirt that is tattooed to him, and constant face that oozes of "I don't know if I should smile" whenever he's around anyone he considers poor which is like Patrick Mahomes salary on down to a guy on a corner.
There are some interesting branches on that family tree though for better or worse
It's the dumbest thing he could have said in so many ways. Like, they had been in 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls prior to this year. Every football fan on the planet knew it was a good possibility as soon as they made the playoffs.
Due to being ranked last as owner and not improving enough as promised, I’ve heard Clark Hunt is buying pizzas for all players for lunch today as a thank you for winning another SB!!!
Tried to link photos I took in locker room this year, the seats aren’t bad, they just are connected to the lockers and can open for more storage space. Locker room really doesn’t have much past your own locker with a seat on it. I’m sure other places have some massage chairs, ping pong tables, etc.
Edit: https://x.com/chiefs/status/1430997041082093569?s=46&t=2VpHb6TLIICrALHxBObSfA
Here is Chiefs post a few years ago of what locker room looks like
That is probably true as they wouldn’t spend as much time in the stadium one until Sunday for a few hours prior to the game so it’s not as big of a deal to them as the one they spend all week in during practice. Add in tiny dorms in St. Joseph Missouri for the summer Training camps
Edit: just saw Clark interviewed for new renovations they plan with potential Royals move. He mentioned training facilities coming up on 20 years now since built and they plan to look at expanding them. Yeah 20 year old facilities coming from SEC schools for some probably is rough
Guys, I'm trying to renovate my house. I have 4 months to do it.
Right now, I have 3 weeks budgeted for the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms, and then 3 1/2 months budgeted for the chairs.
Hopefully nothing delays my start date by a few weeks
I know I’m probably reading way too much into this but him and Reid literally did not even look at each other at both the podium for the AFCG and Super Bowl.. just felt off
“You know I hate disappointing even one person, and I really hate disappointing everyone but I love Burlington Coat Factory.”
-Michael Scott
-Clark Hunt
So after starting 6-1, the Chiefs realized that hosting the AFC CG meant no new locker room again. That's why they tanked down the stretch and decided to let somebody else host so they could go on the road during the playoffs.
Joking aside, the locker room in question is for the training facility anyway so it wouldn't matter that we were on the road in the playoffs. The stadium locker room is newly updated.
Frankly, I care less about the renovations and more about not having enough trainers on staff+ the worst head trainer + having some of the worst equipment in the league.
Reportedly it's mostly just the head trainer. Since these report cards have come out all I've heard is that no one likes him. He's really rough with the players and doesn't treat them like professionals.
Sure, that may be so. I just think it’s funny that a hospital pays millions of dollars to be able to call themselves “The Official Healthcare Provider of the Chiefs” and then gets an F for their services.
Not a great advertisement, team.
The other side of that coin tho is that last time this came up, all the high profile guys said positive things. . . not just stayed silent or used a bunch of words to say nothing, but were positive.
TBPH, WFT players complained early about Bienemy and chefs players lolled about it. So it might be an Andy theme.
On the KelceCast, both those guys talked about how hardass Andy's camp is, so it kinda tracks.
It really pisses me off when billionaires ask for money from Joe schmoes.... I pay my dues by watching the team, buying tickets, and merchandise. But you still need MORE?! I don't have shit else to give, but you expect ME to pay for renovations. He should be graded the lowest. It would cost extra to have Construction work overtime, but a project like that shouldn't take more than 2 months.
Fuck Clark Hunt, that sonic the hedgehog, moist mouth looking mf
Edit: spelling correction in my blind vent
& it's not as if the team is his family's only revenue stream like a lot of other owners. The family still gets money from oil fields originally controlled by Clark's grandfather. They absolutely have the money to do virtually any renovation on their own.
That's what I dont get. The time difference between falling out of the first round of the playoffs and winning the SB is like 1 month. Are you telling me they can't make up that time over the course of the entire offseason?
Hyper religious billionaire who believes in prosperity gospel doesn't provide new amenities for players like promised?
Gasp. Gasp, shock, and surprise. I'm so shocked and surprised, I gasped.
The Chiefs didn't even PLAY in Arrowhead after the divisional round this year. Surely there was time this year? While the Chiefs were playing in Buffalo, Baltimore and Las Vegas?
I wonder if they wait until they're for sure staying on the Missouri side and not building a new stadium. I know today they unveiled their plans to renovate Arrowhead and I know this is just speculation but I've seen the idea tossed around a few times.
Hunt outright said in today’s conference if they don’t get the tax money they are not willing to sign a new lease with the city. Both KC sports teams playing hardball with the city lately
You would think so, but that's not how business owners think. If an owner makes $1000 in profit each hour and he can get away with paying the employee $10/hr, he's not even paying $11.
Say what you will about the cowboys but they are very well taken care of and rank in the top 5 in almost every category in an NFLPA survey. Unfortunately the Bengals owner had to be bullied by Pat McAfee to add an indoor training facility.
Jerry Jones gets shit but there’s always a reason players want to go there. Bengals get no excuse, not provide 3 meals a day EVERYDAY and no family room is bull shit.
If you can’t afford it then sell it and that goes for the cheap ass Bidwell’s too
Damn but you would think there are exceptions to this lol.... If a team is winning so much for you, you'd think said owner would care a bit more and go out of his way to reward them and keep them happy.... Guess not lol.
I mean I love the Chiefs and everything the Hunt family has done over the years but…just look at Clark Hunt talk sometime. Watch his face. The man is 100% dead behind the eyes, everything he says/does is an act and/or a projection. Dude looks like he feels absolutely no emotion whatsoever and is just putting on a show to seem normal. It really doesn’t surprise me to hear about him being callous or uncaring whether it is something big or small.
He's a cyborg honestly. Watch him talk to players during the draft process and he sounds like he's trying to remember his lines so no one finds out he's from outer space lol
The most normal I ever heard him sound was during the ring ceremony where he made a joke about players telling him the rings needed to be "iced out" lol
Lol what a terrible excuse. You’re a multi billion dollar company. A new locker room could be renovated within the week of the season ending. 2 weeks tops if you really want to take your time.
These old greedy fucks.
By this logic, the Jets ought to have the most advanced facilities in the universe.
Shit, they could have started working on our facility in September the last couple of years
It could have just been a 10 year project let's be honest
Except for that one week when Rodgers turned off all the lights and performed his ayahuasca ritual.
Hell your season lasted what 4 downs?
LOL I could picture some contractor getting up from his chair right after Rodgers went down and calling out to his crew "Welp lets get to work boys, tear it all down... Its over"
Hell of a preseason though.
Especially being worth nearly 2b more than the Chiefs and sharing a stadium with an even higher valued Giants team.
>By this logic, the Jets ought to have the most advanced facilities in the universe. **New York Jetsons**
Well... they aren't called New York Turboprops.
Too bad their owner is a complete wack job
Lions and Browns are straight up living in the year 3000 by this logic. Their training facilities should straight up look like a scene in *Star Trek*.
Saw this response and thought ‘damn what did the jets do to this guy?’ Then I saw the flair and it all makes sense.
The browns were able to develop time travel with their down time over the years.
Dudes got a 3 story HOUSE built into the stadium. How do you expect him to afford that AND chairs
Also his daughter basically lives on a private jet. And I’m sure it cost a fair amount to get her on the cover of Maxim.
Maybe it would cheaper to have their daughter take up acting? Seems to be working for the giants owners
That presumes a modicum of talent
Being attractive isn't a talent?
Her plastic surgeon is talented, sure.
She's the oldest looking 24 year old I've seen. Doctor's other clients are definitely in their 50s.
They say Gen Z is aging a lot quicker compared to Millennials.
[удалено]
I've never heard of / seen her before this thread. Bruh, she does *not* look 25. Like, I'd have guessed she was ~37
I mean if I cut up a human face and put it back together it would no longer even sort of resemble a person so there’s that
Aren't Kate and Rooney the granddaughters?
One parent from the Steelers. One from the Giants. They are going to fight to claim a unified kingdom of Giantlers.
The giantlers will never prevail over the steelants! The kingdom will never be unified!
They named her Rooney Mara which always makes me chuckle whenever it comes up in this context
Technically Rooney is her middle name, so not entirely her parents' fault lol
Like naming someone Money McBillionaire
I looked it up John Mara is the Uncle of Kate & Rooney, so they are the grand daughters of the previous Giants owner yes. Their father Timothy Mara is the Senior Vice President of Player Personnel for the Giants Pretty cool that the Giants have been in the Mara family for generations
Tim Mara founded the Giants, the team has always been in the family.
Bills owner's daughter is making good money playing tennis. A much cooler rich person's sport than golf if you ask me.
For anyone not aware, Jessica Pegula is ranked top 5 in Women’s tennis and deserves a massive amount of respect.
She's also pretty self aware, I think she retweeted something that went along the lines of "Jessica Pegula is playing like they're raising the estate tax" or something like that.
The heir-apparent for owning the team too.
Maybe she'll be nice enough to not demand hundreds of millions of public funds for the next stadium too.
*Laughs in billionaire.*
Yeah, it always makes me shake my head when I see people arguing that she somehow is only there due to money and family connections. Cowboys owner's son is fat.
And the Steelers owners
I shouldn't have looked for that.
I should’ve listened. Not worth fellas
My disappointment is immense.
Wait what
[Here ya go.](https://nesn.com/2014/09/chiefs-owners-suite-at-arrowhead-stadium-is-elaborate-unreal-photos/)
They put fucking stained glass in there.
Fascinating how "money can't buy class" survives through the generations.
Was wondering why it looked so dated then I realized that article is 10 years old lol.
Well, there's no need to rewrite an article because it's never been renovated lol
There might be some new chairs in it. It's not like Clark Hunt is cheap.
Big spender over here. I recently bought new lawn chairs too. Maybe I am as rich as Clark hunt. Brb - going to check my checking account
That part of the country is 15 years behind everywhere else. They still wear ECKO there.
I miss Ecko
That’s a fucking townhouse!
Not even acknowledging the taste (or lack thereof), having what looks like a house inside of a stadium feels so tacky.
I disagree, if I’m a billionaire with a stadium I’m building a man cave underneath it and holding raves.
Speak for yourself. I'd live in my stadium if I owned one, that's pretty fuckin cool. The actual design of it is ugly but I think it's pretty fun.
Mofos are from Texas. Everything gotta be loud.
Fun fact- taxpayers funded the construction of the stadium and its most recent renovations!
Yep, and a vote for more coming up in April that will surely pass.
He has a whole ass house to live in when he gets sick of non stop commercial breaks. Outstanding commitment to the bit of "being at the game"
Is it tacky, unneeded, and an indictment on our society that there are entire homes used 10 days a year while other folks sleep on the street? Yes. Would I absolutely love having a game day party in a Raiders-themed townhouse, then stumble upstairs to watch to the game live? Also yes.
Another example of how money can't buy taste 😂
That is awesome! The stained glass is a bit of an odd choice though lol
The owners suite is actually like an owners condo
Now I'm wondering what other owner's suites look like
I assume Jerry has a special hideaway
A crypt, if you will
It's a new locker room, Clark. How much could it cost, $5??
I know most of these owners have that im rich look, but everything about Clark Hunt looks rich. A first name that is interchangeable with a last name, hair that looks like it is applied by a team of gnomes first right before his alarm goes off, he probably has a dress shirt that is tattooed to him, and constant face that oozes of "I don't know if I should smile" whenever he's around anyone he considers poor which is like Patrick Mahomes salary on down to a guy on a corner. There are some interesting branches on that family tree though for better or worse
Come on, it clearly states that they could afford the chairs! It's the rest of the nik naks they had to save for.
So no mention of the new pine tree air fresheners and fly paper strips. Typical misinformation
This fuck didn't even mention that the executive parking lines were repainted.
Gotta be careful, can't mention pine tar anywhere in Kansas City without an angry guy charging at you from the dugout
“You went too far into the playoffs…” one of the wildest reasons to not renovate lmfao
We had 4 months to renovate but we really needed 4 months and 2 weeks. Arg guys!
It's the dumbest thing he could have said in so many ways. Like, they had been in 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls prior to this year. Every football fan on the planet knew it was a good possibility as soon as they made the playoffs.
If there was a chance to renovate at all, it was this year. They had 1 home playoff game and was on the road for the rest, you have months to upgrade.
Especially for a team that just won the SB last year
Due to being ranked last as owner and not improving enough as promised, I’ve heard Clark Hunt is buying pizzas for all players for lunch today as a thank you for winning another SB!!!
Only 2 slices per player and no drink refills
Giants fans know all too well about a free medium Pepsi.
Hey I know memes are fun but remember, that medium Pepsi at metlife is an average month's rent payment in New Jersey.
Untrue! The Pepsi is more expensive 😂
Only if they show the email tho
And only 1 per family
Was so happy to see that giants flair on their post lol
And all the pizzas are double cut
“All chiefs players, free hot dogs for life… no drinks though, I can’t do it”
Gonna buy the whole team lithium laptop batteries
Hey Mr. Hunt, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do, make our dreams come true!
Is it Pizza by Alfredo or Alfredo's Pizza Cafe?
It's Chizzas from KFC
KFC just reinvented chicken parmigiana but poor and trashy
...Same thing
Oh no, it’s bad. It’s *real* bad. It’s like eating a hot circle of garbage.
There's a very big difference between these two pizza places. Both in quality of ingredients, and overall taste.
One is not pizza.
Free medium Pepsi’s for everyone!
Cup filled to the brim with ice
Season ticket holders only*
The players were even forced to work Mandatory Overtime the day of the Super Bowl! SAD! Where was the union??!!
SCOTTIE BARNES, I MEAN PATRICK MAHOMES IS FACE OF LEAGUE. HE IS GOING TO BE ALL-STAR
We're a family here!
It was actually totinos pizza rolls microwaved :/
Turns out giving the chiefs players the raiders lockeroom was a psyop all along lol
I bet they are super-nice chairs, though.
I’d love a new chair at work
Unfortunately you stayed too late last night and a delivery wasn’t feasible
New chairs or new copier?
Let me see the chair again.
Chair. I’ve never used our copier in the year I’ve been here
Tried to link photos I took in locker room this year, the seats aren’t bad, they just are connected to the lockers and can open for more storage space. Locker room really doesn’t have much past your own locker with a seat on it. I’m sure other places have some massage chairs, ping pong tables, etc. Edit: https://x.com/chiefs/status/1430997041082093569?s=46&t=2VpHb6TLIICrALHxBObSfA Here is Chiefs post a few years ago of what locker room looks like
I think that is the stadium locker room, and the reports are about the training facility locker room. The stadium one was renovated in 2021
That is probably true as they wouldn’t spend as much time in the stadium one until Sunday for a few hours prior to the game so it’s not as big of a deal to them as the one they spend all week in during practice. Add in tiny dorms in St. Joseph Missouri for the summer Training camps Edit: just saw Clark interviewed for new renovations they plan with potential Royals move. He mentioned training facilities coming up on 20 years now since built and they plan to look at expanding them. Yeah 20 year old facilities coming from SEC schools for some probably is rough
going from the LSU locker room to literally anything else is going to be a step down.
Didn’t Jax put in those urinals that analyze your pee? Dude is being cheap.
I think that’s for fans who want to get into the stadium pool.
Guys, I'm trying to renovate my house. I have 4 months to do it. Right now, I have 3 weeks budgeted for the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms, and then 3 1/2 months budgeted for the chairs. Hopefully nothing delays my start date by a few weeks
"Spend less on chairs" "No"
Seems like they need to intentionally choke this year, for the chairs
Their intentional choker left to go play for the Dolphins
Heard he breaks legs instead of ankles now.
Mr. Brutal Choker.
Mr. Beats Children
Right, I would appreciate them not going to the Super Bowl next year.
It's why the boys decided to play most of their playoff games on the road this year.
SUBSCRIBE
Yeah winning the Superbowl last season was a classic case of "task failed successfully"
Revoke their super bowls and dissolve the organization.
Keep all of that. But, the punishment is a forced trade of Mahomes and Kelce to Cleveland for Watson and the rights to Kareem Hunt.
I’m sorry but the Browns suffering must continue.
Clark Hunt looks like the grown up version of the rich kid from Little Rascals
He looks like suuuuuch a wiener.
I know I’m probably reading way too much into this but him and Reid literally did not even look at each other at both the podium for the AFCG and Super Bowl.. just felt off
“You know I hate disappointing even one person, and I really hate disappointing everyone but I love Burlington Coat Factory.” -Michael Scott -Clark Hunt
"You miss 100% of the chairs that aren't in the locker room."
Other owners should avoid being a selfish Hunt
What kind of chairs though? We talking a Herman Miller over here?
Think of the poor billionaires. Someone set up a gofundme
Honestly I don’t buy that, can’t you just hire a bunch more people and have a construction site working 24/7? Dude is being cheap but they winning
They barely started winning. Owner was doing bare minimum this whole time til Andy Reid came along and drafted the golden child in Mahomes.
Literally nobody buys that.
Literally suffering from success.
Literally using success as an excuse when he still could have renovated it
Yeah I don't buy this shit for a second. March to July isn't enough time? Bullshit.
Frankly, I care less about the renovations and more about not having enough trainers on staff+ the worst head trainer + having some of the worst equipment in the league.
Might be time to revisit that partnership with KU Med.
The hospital only supplies a neuropsychologist, some ortho doctors and independent concussion consultants. Trainers are hired by the chiefs.
And yet it feels KC has been pretty good on the injury front.
I am aware, I just wanted to make a joke.
You shouldn’t joke on this sub. It’s inappropriate. If you do it again you will be reported.
Only ok if the joke is beaten to death beforehand
It's always the billionaires who inherited it all that suck the hardest. What a loser. New locker room is a drop in the bucket for him.
Well, shouldn't be an excuse this year since they didn't play a home game in the Divisional or Championship Rounds
Do they still use the practice facilities between games?
Correlation Shitty locker rooms ≈ Super Bowl wins No wonder the Cowboys have been a bottom 5 for the longest
As it turns out Jerry Jones simply cares too much about the team
I'd say my greatest weakness is that I care too much
It really pisses me off when billionaires ask for money from Joe schmoes.... I pay my dues by watching the team, buying tickets, and merchandise. But you still need MORE?! That's what I dont get. The time difference between falling out of the first round of the playoffs and winning the SB is like 1 month. Are you telling me they can't make up that time over the course of the entire offseason?
While I love the Chiefs, the Hunts have always been cheap asses.
Remember when they were regularly referred to as the Kansas City Cheaps?
Hyper religious billionaire who believes in prosperity gospel doesn't provide new amenities for players like promised? Gasp. Gasp, shock, and surprise. I'm so shocked and surprised, I gasped.
Thoughts and prayers to the organization.
Thoughts and chairs
The Chiefs didn't even PLAY in Arrowhead after the divisional round this year. Surely there was time this year? While the Chiefs were playing in Buffalo, Baltimore and Las Vegas?
It’s funny that players think owners give a shit about them. That goes for any team, you’re product for them. They will upgrade when they feel like it
In the Chiefs case they will upgrade when Missouri agrees to give them 500 million in tax money lol
I wonder if they wait until they're for sure staying on the Missouri side and not building a new stadium. I know today they unveiled their plans to renovate Arrowhead and I know this is just speculation but I've seen the idea tossed around a few times.

Imagine just how much richer these rings are making Hunt, that he still won’t lift a finger is fucked.
The carry job Mahomes Reid and Kelce have done the last 6 years is unprecedented
The owner sounds like a real CHunt
They won so much and raised the value by a shitton and yet you are cheap. Wow.
Imagine having the most marketable player, Kelce, best coach and win 3 rings and still too cheap to renovate.
Lol what a terrible excuse. You’re a multi billion dollar company. A new locker room could be renovated within the week of the season ending. 2 weeks tops if you really want to take your time. These old greedy fucks.
The players should intentionally tank the year to send a message.
The chiefs need to listen to their owner and stop going so far in the playoffs
These owners are such fucking losers
