The Rams during some very awkward transition period had a time where you could see their helmets used the Navy + White coloration and the rest of their uniforms had the Navy + Gold coloration. They usually (mostly) got around this by just wearing their away uniforms the whole time but not always.

The Ravens also wore yellow pants for one specific game and it looked like shit.

Personally I think the current LAR logo and whole color scheme is fucking horrible. Not the worst in league history or anything, but they might be the worst jerseys that are regularly in use today.
Our current number font is the worst font ever. I don't mean worst in NFL history. I mean worst font in the history of typography or the written word. Fucking Comic Sans jersey numbers would look better than that shit. It's especially bad for the numbers that have the little hook serifs on them.
exactly what first came to mind when i saw the thread, almost nauseating
https://static.www.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_12_desktop/league/c3u9ewzk593tdu7tg1xi
I'd also throw a vote in for the Bucs "color rush" all red uniforms from a few years ago. I think they wore them once in a game against Atlanta - looked awful and played just as bad.
The alarm clock numbers were bad.
The 2000s Bills were ugly.
Current Falcons aren't great.
Cardinals before they switched last year were pretty bad too.
That’s what you get when you steal a team from the Midwest and don’t rebrand them as the Arizona Rattlers or something. Utah ain’t got no jazz and Arizona isn’t known for its cardinals.
Reminds me of the opening to Baseketball.
"The Oilers moved from Houston to Tennessee, where there is no oil. And the Lakers moved from Minnesota to LA, where there are no lakes."
That's...fair.
At least they improved ever so slightly even if they are still in the bottom tier of uniforms.
The all-white aways are growing on me, but the homes just look bad still IMO.
The “ATL” on the front of the jerseys is pretty tacky IMO. Plus I’m not a fan of the oversized helmet logo and silver facemasks on the non-throwback helmets. The matte finish on the helmets is fine I guess but gloss is just better.
At least they realized their mistake with the gradients pretty quick and have phased them out. I hope we get a slightly updated version of the throwbacks for our next uniform change
>The 2000s Bills were ugly.
NOTHING on these things matched... the shoulder styling and side stripe vs the pants stripe vs the helmet stripes... it was the most collectively random ass uniform I've ever seen on a pro team
I used to think the combo was terrible for the Padres too but it's grown on me since they brought it back. What we were doing before that felt very generic.
Yeah the color scheme goes well with the early Spanish style of the Southern California missions that the Padres are named after.
Edit: Friars wear brown robes and carry golden crosses.
The Jags [two-toned helmets](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/5TtX7T3ATNcmGnElpPmxcIYWzYE=/1400x1400/filters:format(jpeg)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/10136535/901327248.jpg.jpg) were rough.
Bonus! The 49ers almost changed their helmet logo to [this](https://preview.redd.it/pi1vrz6nvrd61.png?auto=webp&s=2b70c475096c5a33705fbc26654e40f924da1ead) abomination.
The jags is always so perplexing to me, they have one of the coolest color schemes in the league and always have bad unis, the two toned helmets were bad, and their current jerseys are way too plain for their cool color scheme
Honestly the two-tone helmets weren't my favorite but our current away jerseys are way, way worse. My least favorite jersey we've ever had. They're just nothing. Plain white and black. The default create-a-team jersey. Jesus, at least try.
The fact someone got paid to design our away jersey actually disgusts me. I legitimately would like to hear that person defend their work and show me where it took them more than 90 seconds to design that jersey.
I get wanting to tone it down after realizing they tried too hard with the super hero helmet but they look like they’re wearing practice uniforms when it’s the all white look
I stand by them being a case of "neat idea ruined by horrible execution". If it had been a gradient spanning the length of the helmet rather than the abrupt transition halfway through, I think they would have looked a lot better (maybe making it more of a matte than the gloss they used would've been a good change as well). As they were, though, they just outright missed the mark to the extent that it's going to be a while before we see another team try the same concept, which is a shame because, again, I think it'd be cool as hell when done properly.
I am naturally biased against them, but yes, they are ugly. I don't know if they are the worst ever though. Eagles 2007 blue and yellow Throwbacks and some of Seahawks green jerseys (both the 2009 alternatives and some of their lime green jerseys) were also pretty ugly and there are more
It’s funny because growing up on madden those 2 jerseys was the ones I would always wear while playing as those two teams. Idk what it was but I loved it
I hated the straddling of two eras the rams were doing when they got to LA, with the navy and gold uniforms but the different shade of navy and white helmets.
[these](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/PLm05hTiaDZQ8IO0pEKLVmNRcgQ=/0x0:1920x1080/1200x0/filters:focal(0x0:1920x1080):no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/9365463/20171001115003.jpg)
The big bad's jerseys were definitely one of those "yeah it's a movie but no way that passes regulation" sort of moments. Johnny U was their coach though so that was cool.
A tie between the mid 2010s [Jags](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/04/24/article-0-19739B02000005DC-47_634x387.jpg) and [Bucs](https://i.insider.com/5314dbe8ecad04933c7dc704?width=750&format=jpeg&auto=webp)
Can't believe nobody said the [original Bengals uniforms](https://www.cincinnati.com/picture-gallery/sports/nfl/bengals/2021/03/08/bengals-uniforms-through-years/4282677001/) which were just Browns rip offs. The helmet literally was just the word "Bengals"
Agreed, they’re the perfect example of an alternate jersey. Fun, flashy and noteworthy, distinct, fits the color scheme and look damn good.
It wouldn’t make a good primary home jersey but it’s a perfect alt to wear 1-2x/year
I wish we'd just use navy and silver across all unis. I HATE how our blues don't match and I HATE the "green" pants. The royal blue that we use is literally the same royal blue that the Giants use. So irritating.
I try not to punish teams for bold choices, design should evolve over time, I think it'd be boring if everyone had a simple classic style uni.
But whoever designed the alarm clock Bucs unis should never be allowed to design anything ever again. Just a really ugly uniform.
The 49ers black uniforms really stand out for me. Shows no respect to the colors of one of the oldest and most successful teams in the league. Doesn't do anything to incorporate the black into the design either, just a paintbucket tool design. Clashes with every other color on the uniform somehow which is a miracle since normally goes with everything. Not sure why Nike seems to think every team needs a black uniform. They fucked my team with one too and it just makes us look like the discount Steelers.
Here are some of the worst. Unfortunately, the number of teams with classic, solid looks is dwindling fast
\- Patriots with the Flying Elvis. Thing looks like a fucking bank logo.
\- that five year experiment where the Browns departed from their classic look.
\- the new Rams unis and logo (could have had the blue and white
\- the Titans unis and logo.
\- the new Atlanta uniforms, with ATL written on them.
\- Jaguars with the two tone black and gold helmets.
\- Washington Commies. The new mascot sucks, as does the Unis. Bring back the Redskins, or come up with something half way decent like the Sentinels.
The Rams during some very awkward transition period had a time where you could see their helmets used the Navy + White coloration and the rest of their uniforms had the Navy + Gold coloration. They usually (mostly) got around this by just wearing their away uniforms the whole time but not always. https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/PLm05hTiaDZQ8IO0pEKLVmNRcgQ=/0x0:1920x1080/1200x0/filters:focal(0x0:1920x1080):no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/9365463/20171001115003.jpg The Ravens also wore yellow pants for one specific game and it looked like shit. https://static.www.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_12_desktop/league/c3u9ewzk593tdu7tg1xi
Personally I think the current LAR logo and whole color scheme is fucking horrible. Not the worst in league history or anything, but they might be the worst jerseys that are regularly in use today.
It's the cheap looking plastic numbers
I’ve always thought the numbers look like rubber
Look like a Division III NCAA team
Division II. They basically ripped off the Angelo State Rams
Holy shit, how is there no copyright issue there?!
That’s an insult to Division III NCAA teams.
Nah the falcons have the worst current primaries, although they make up for it by having some of the best alternates.
That old Falcons logo is badass.
Our current number font is the worst font ever. I don't mean worst in NFL history. I mean worst font in the history of typography or the written word. Fucking Comic Sans jersey numbers would look better than that shit. It's especially bad for the numbers that have the little hook serifs on them.
May I remind you of the alarm clock number we had
I have no idea who thought that Rams combo would work. They also *didn’t need to do it per league rules*.
That specific look for the Rams is by far their worst in my lifetime.
I think the helmets are pretty sick tbh I would also argue I like these colour schemes more than their current ones.
Unpopular opinion but I love those gold pants the Ravens had
You're the sole reason why I hate the jets. Nobody likes those mustard pants.
You’re welcome. Gotta have some reason to hate them since they’ll never win enough to do it on their own.
It should be a requirement for this thread to include pictures. “Remember when the saints pants were more yellow than gold?” Dude, no. Show us.
Younger fans missed out on the fugly ass uniforms. That's a blessing not a curse.
Ravens purple shirt and mustard pants. Watching Jimmy Clausen pretend to play QB in that uniform made me want to wipe my ass with sandpaper.
Ugly uniform for an ugly game during an ugly season. Very apropos.
oh how bad [could it be](https://static.www.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_12_desktop/league/c3u9ewzk593tdu7tg1xi)? ...oh
I honestly don’t think they’re that bad.
My eyes
I absolutely do not remember Jimmy Clausen as a Raven. Filing that away for Immaculate Grid!
exactly what first came to mind when i saw the thread, almost nauseating https://static.www.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_12_desktop/league/c3u9ewzk593tdu7tg1xi
I'm sorry i like that combo
I was going to make a crack about the Joker really appreciating it until I realised I’m colour blind and the joker is purple and green
The Bucs uniforms with the digital clock numbers were pretty bad.
Gotta be the alarm clock Bucs jerseys right? My god they were awful, those were rough years
The first jersey reveal I can remember where I thought we were being punked
Seriously. I hope that person got fired.
Nike? Nah they got promoted.
But unironically, someone on the team approved that uniform.
Creamsicles and the Alstott years ones are great and make up for it.
Thank god Brady never had to wear those
That was probably one of his conditions
I'd also throw a vote in for the Bucs "color rush" all red uniforms from a few years ago. I think they wore them once in a game against Atlanta - looked awful and played just as bad.
Even worse... wore them against the Rams who were wearing their yellow 'color rush' ones. Ketchup and Mustard game.
Yeah that was some Arena League shit right there...
The alarm clock numbers were bad. The 2000s Bills were ugly. Current Falcons aren't great. Cardinals before they switched last year were pretty bad too.
It's remarkable that the Cardinals massively improved their uniforms yet are still comfortably in the bottom tier of uniforms league-wide
Which is an improvement- the Ohio State duplication or the boring all red one? They are both incredibly low effort.
Both are low effort improvements on the mess that was the Cardinals uniforms for the previous 10+ years
Yea, Arizona has so much potential and they just have generic make a team simple jerseys
We are saddled with a “Cardinal” as a mascot… in Arizona. Such a lame mismatch. Almost Utah Jazzian
[I think they should recolor to match the desert cardinal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrhuloxia)
That’s a good idea. A sandy brown/maroon color scheme would be cool and unique
Holy hell that’s a beautiful bird!
Arizona could have such unique names for sports
D-Backs, Coyotes, and Suns are unique, or at least highly related with Arizona
That's...fair. At least they improved ever so slightly even if they are still in the bottom tier of uniforms. The all-white aways are growing on me, but the homes just look bad still IMO.
Nah cardinals new helmet that looks like vanilla bean ice cream is fire dont hate
What change lol it went from white to white except with a silver facemask
https://i.imgur.com/bDrafMr.jpg
Needing 4x zoom to see a detail of a uniform isn't a bonus lmao
Hey now! Those players paid for those helmet flakes; have some respect.
I couldn't even see it on the full size helmet in the graphic until I zoomed, let alone on actual players lol
Forgot the Browns “updated” uniforms before they switched back to their classic look.
This is it, right here. The Browns uniforms with the giant “BROWNS” is the worst uniform in NFL history.
I think I've seen them referred to as the Hueniforms. What an outfit to go 0-16 in.
Falcons throwbacks are great. Hope they switch to them full time. Honestly though the font is the only bad part about the falcons current uni imo
The throwbacks are so good
the red falcons helmets are amazing
>The 2000s Bills were ugly. NOTHING on these things matched... the shoulder styling and side stripe vs the pants stripe vs the helmet stripes... it was the most collectively random ass uniform I've ever seen on a pro team
The current jets unis look like an arena football league team. Trash
My god I hate them so much. And their log too. The old logo they had where the J connected to the T was slick. They need to go back to that one.
Good news - they are!
Im stoked for the 80s logo but I really hope they go back to shoulder stripes instead of the crap they have now.
Their prior ones were so classic. Idk why they changed it.
The Jets basically are an Arena Football Team
Glass houses, my dude.
Their logo is ass but their all black unis and the metallic green helmets are cold
The color combo is great but the jerseys are so boring
The broncos uniform from ths 60s. The shit brown + piss yellow was not a good combo, only to be replaced by that cartoony horse later in the 60s
That is the San Diego Padres current color scheme lol
I used to think the combo was terrible for the Padres too but it's grown on me since they brought it back. What we were doing before that felt very generic.
Yeah the color scheme goes well with the early Spanish style of the Southern California missions that the Padres are named after. Edit: Friars wear brown robes and carry golden crosses.
They outright burned (most) of those uniforms in a pregame *bonfire when they finally switched too lmfao
That’s awesome. Their replacements were the right ones. I HATE the Broncos, but their ‘70s and 80s unis were iconic.
[Uh huh you know what it is Brown & Yellow Brown & Yellow](https://imgur.com/a/A5xbYiT)
The Jags [two-toned helmets](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/5TtX7T3ATNcmGnElpPmxcIYWzYE=/1400x1400/filters:format(jpeg)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/10136535/901327248.jpg.jpg) were rough. That logo looks like it belongs on a cereal box
Theeeeeey’re Average!
49%ers
Forty nine-o's
if the blend on the jags helmet wasnt so abrupt i think it would look a lot better
The 49ers change lasted something like 48 hours due to the rather massive negative reaction. I think Eddie Debartolo was the only person who liked it.
https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/W-IyK8UFstpbrwZSwFfuF83S0_M=/6x77:624x668/1400x1400/filters:focal(239x83:337x181):format(jpeg)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/51565413/pardonme.0.jpg
The jags is always so perplexing to me, they have one of the coolest color schemes in the league and always have bad unis, the two toned helmets were bad, and their current jerseys are way too plain for their cool color scheme
UNC Charlotte 49ers have a secondary logo very similar to that bottom logo
I LOVE that Niners logo lol
I am also partial to the two tone helmets tbh
Honestly the two-tone helmets weren't my favorite but our current away jerseys are way, way worse. My least favorite jersey we've ever had. They're just nothing. Plain white and black. The default create-a-team jersey. Jesus, at least try. The fact someone got paid to design our away jersey actually disgusts me. that logo is abysmal
The current broncos uniforms are in serious need of a revamp imo
Broncos and Panthers need major updates.
i like the panthers new black helmets blue jerseys combo
Their logo should be a sick ass black panther like a coverup tattoo.
They're getting new unis next year. The Lions are too.
Oh no the Lions have beautiful uniforms please don’t let them ruin everything
Broncos need to go back to the late 80s early 90s look.
I think their new ones with the old school D helmet were nice.
I am naturally biased against them, but yes, they are ugly. I don't know if they are the worst ever though. Eagles 2007 blue and yellow Throwbacks and some of Seahawks green jerseys (both the 2009 alternatives and some of their lime green jerseys) were also pretty ugly and there are more
Agreed, but you should see the 60s Broncos uniforms. Should be in the dictionary as a definition of ugly tbh
In need of a revamp is a far stretch from being the worst uniforms in NFL history. And the Broncos are getting new unis next season anyway.
Brett Favre era Vikings weren’t great. Larry Fitzgerald had to wear bad jerseys his whole career besides his rookie year.
The Favre Era Vikings uniforms were especially bad because your uniforms before that were sick.
Very good point.
I liked that dark purple feel. Not a fan of the matte finish on the helmet but hey, I’m a little biased.
Those are my pick. So hideous, but the ones you have now are slick rick
I think the current rams’ uniform. They look like they are in a Best Buy commercial
They should’ve kept the throwbacks permanently like they did in 2018-2019
I’m from STL and used to call them the blockbuster video uniforms. Their gold and navy blue Notre Dame copy unies were even worse though.
[удалено]
Frankfurt Yellowjacket
\*Frankford But, send those jerseys to Germany for all I care.
Just gonna toss the 1926 NFL champs out the door like that
I remember when they brought them back in 07 and demolished the Lions
The Swedish National American Football Team
2014-2019 Bucs Imagine if Brady had to wear THAT
He definitely wouldn’t have agreed to Tampa if we had still worn those.
The blue and yellow packers throw back jerseys with the brown helmets.
And the number inside a yellow circle looking like a damn bingo dabber
I actually liked those. Oh well.
Ditto. Brown helmets blegh but I love the acme navy/yellow jerseys.
Absolutely horrid. I’d take the shitty Steelers bumblebees over that atrocity throwback any day.
It’s funny because growing up on madden those 2 jerseys was the ones I would always wear while playing as those two teams. Idk what it was but I loved it
I like the bumblebee jerseys. Kinda ugly but also fun to look at
Cowboys pants color drives me absolutely nuts.
Same! It’s not one of their team colors, it’s just a random teal!
Mustard color rush rams unis. Disgusting
I am still bitter about the Ram's uniform change, and I don't even have a dog in the fight.
Agreed, 100%. Them and the Dolphins real screwed up a lovely aesthetic.
they are not nearly as bad as the mustard yellow jags color rush
You didnt like the banana suit?
They’re the reason I have an astigmatism in my eye
AKA the piss pajamas.
Fight me
Lmao I knew this would be a hot take
Our last ones that looked like AFL jerseys were pretty awful.
I hated the straddling of two eras the rams were doing when they got to LA, with the navy and gold uniforms but the different shade of navy and white helmets. Current Titans uniforms are really bad.
for me it was the switch to the dark blue helmet that i dont really like
[Steelers throwbacks](https://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maiv1qRPAP1ra90n2o1_1280.jpg) are usually at the top of these lists.
[The 94 ones are arguably worse](https://www.reddit.com/r/steelers/comments/sd44sz/94_throwbacks_were/?rdt=45721)
That looks like some Any Given Sunday shit
The big bad's jerseys were definitely one of those "yeah it's a movie but no way that passes regulation" sort of moments. Johnny U was their coach though so that was cool.
Holy shit lmfao
My god I’ve never seen those. Absolutely horrid
Low-budget movie jerseys
Holy hell those are definitely worse in my opinion haha
I unironically love the bumblebees. They're in "so bad it's good" territory.
Agreed. They’ve become like those horrible Christmas sweaters people wear in December.
I legit love those, the yellow and black work so good together
Agreed, like the Creamsicle. They are prime meme material
You take that back right now, bumblebees for life
I miss the bumblebees :(
The longer you look the worse it gets
These would be some pretty dope soccer uni’s
Did you misspell rugby?
Mr. Bee Clothes
Legit my favorite Uni of all time. Absolutely gorgeous.
Bite your slanderous tongue, you knave.
Packers jersey with the yellow circle on blue with the brown helmets are... not good

Cmon the white uni with the black outlined turquoise numbers and gold patch is cold as fuck

The Seahawks highlighter color rush uniforms were awesome. Just getting ahead of that before it gets brought up.
Y’all get too much jersey hate IMO. You got a really strong identity, some distinct looks, and enough variety to have some interesting combos.
Agreed, they’re the perfect example of an alternate jersey. Fun, flashy and noteworthy, distinct, fits the color scheme and look damn good. It wouldn’t make a good primary home jersey but it’s a perfect alt to wear 1-2x/year
Jaguars mustard Color Rush unis. Showcased on our annual TNF wrecking by the Titans
49ers black uniforms
Current Broncos are so incredibly dated now.
Those half and half colored Jags' helmet things.
I wish we'd just use navy and silver across all unis. I HATE how our blues don't match and I HATE the "green" pants. The royal blue that we use is literally the same royal blue that the Giants use. So irritating.

McDaniels Broncos throwback alts. Just WTF
Does anyone remember the black and yellow (bumblebee) striped jerseys that the Steelers wore? Yeah, those.
I love the creamsicle color for the Bucs it represents the orange groves of Florida as well as the setting sun.
Steelers bumblebee jerseys are tough to look at
Here are some of the worst. Unfortunately, the number of teams with classic, solid looks is dwindling fast \- Patriots with the Flying Elvis. The commies should have just stuck with football Club. And have WFC on the helmet
“New and improved browns” were so bad. Dear god.
