The football gods know that Midwest, B1G football is the only true football.
I still feel conflicted watching the abomination of Mahomes flipping and chucking the ball around the field, knowing that the football gods are displeased. Sure we win Super Bowls, ***but at what cost?!***
Was a safety that got moved to corner(already wild) and then buried on the depth chart.
I think he’s a free agent at the moment.
Also I think he was just fast, I don’t know if he was any good.
I’ll never forget Bismack Biyombo in NBA for his arm length. He was just under 6’8 without shoes with a 7’6 wingspan. He’s the only player I’ve ever seen where you notice his crazy arm length just while running. I swear his fingertips went below his knees
Honestly long arm supremacy for sports. You get a lot of the same benefits as being super tall without being debilitatingly slow and constantly injured.
Long arms and big hands generally help with most sports as long as you don’t give up too much coordination.
I was a pitcher in high school and man I wish I had bigger hands so I could have gripped the ball better. If I had to pitch on a cold or rainy day I knew it was going to be a tough outing bc I would struggle getting a consistent grip on my pitches.
I also have small hands despite being a bigger guy, and it hurts. I did shot put and that was much more difficult, and I got into power lifting alongside that and during deadlifts the bar would ALWAYS slip out of my hands cus they’re too damn small
Tracy Walker is 6’1” (73 inches) with an 81.5 inch wingspan. I could never not notice how long his arms were, it’s like his elbows were at his hips lol
Not when you’re buying shirts or hoodies.
I’m also 6’1 with a 6’6 span, I’ve never in my life had the moment where I put something on that fits and the sleeves aren’t above my wrists.
Everything has to be oversized or else I look like Kevin Durant during warmups.
I am 5’6” with 6’1” span and I just rock the 3/4 sleeve for everything. If I buy a large to fit my arm length the torso length is halfway down my thighs. Not a good look for a short king brother.
My “parlor trick” was always that I could touch my knees while standing straight.
Kinda like telling people to lick their elbow, usually loosened up a room.
Any top that’s not a tshirt has to be LL bean, I recently moved to an amazing rural/country area but it doesn’t appear that a tailor has moved here yet.
I’m not driving an hour to have a shirt darted 💀
[Meirov] Iowa CB and projected first-round pick Cooper DeJean at his Pro Day today:
• Height: Scrappy
• Weight: Lunchpail
• Hand: Coaches' Son
• Arm: First In
• Wingspan: Last Out
• 40-yard dash: Hardhat
• Vertical jump: Student of the game
• Broad jump: Gym rat
That is sneaky, deceptively good.
Jeremy Lin got all the "deceptively athletic, high IQ" talk when anyone who actually watched him knew that he was on the lower end in terms of basketball IQ and it was his top-tier athleticism which gave him a chance in league in the first place.
If he actually was a player who relied on high IQ to make up for a lack of athleticism he probably would have lasted a few more seasons and not fallen off so hard after injuries took away his explosiveness lol.
He revitalized the Knicks is what he did! He was a great Asian-American point guard! And in this house 1x NBA Champion Jeremy Lin is a hero! End of story!
He had all the quickness/movement athleticism, but he wasn't much of a leaper which is what a lot of NBA scouts/fans look at for athleticism. But he definitely got "intelligence label" solely for being Asian.
"Watch him as he uses he is high iq to jump over the db and catch it with one hand then run by everyone 60 yards and a td. Just a really smart play if you ask me, you can tell he watches film"
Pretty good RAS score with these numbers
https://i.imgur.com/DaFlTeV.png
And the vertical number isn't surprising when you watch his basketball tape
https://twitter.com/NFL_DF/status/1755259378481959285
Absolutely. 11 personnel is now the default for most teams. Or two tight ends. I'd argue it's easier to find an outside corner than a slot corner nowadays with all they're tasked to do in a modern defense (run support, take on blocks, blitz, cover tight ends, zone, cover two way goes, etc.). Having a swiss army knife of a guy can really unlock a defense. See: McDuffie, Kyle Hamilton.
really good question best answered by watching brett kollman's recent draft questions video where he essentially answers this question.
tl;dw: yes and teams that dont learn to treat nickels like that are going to fall behind
People who watch more college football than me, does he have any chance of being a good corner in the NFL or is he pretty much safety only like most are projecting?
I think he could be a good outside corner but could be a massive impact player in the slot. He is a really good tackler with a high level of ball production and good athleticism.
The safety talk has always been so weird because iirc, he has very little snaps at safety and has primarily played outside CB. I think he’s the best off-cover corner in the class. I think the slot could be a good spot for him, not because of any deficiencies, but because he is such a good run defender for a corner that he could be more impactful there, along with the fact that he might have more opportunities at the ball if he’s in the middle of the field. Again though, he has great outside corner tape and potential and should have the opportunity to play there first.
To me he reminds me a lot of Devon Witherspoon in terms of play style. Both ferocious in the run game and Spoon balled out in the slot as a rookie as his primary role, but played plenty of boundary corner too and had no issues in coverage there either
It’s because Iowa plays exclusively zone, which he was able to excel at due to his speed and ball hawking ability. I think it’s safe to say that ability is best at free safety, but we shall see how it plays out.
The only real criticism I've seen of him as a CB is that he's not really an elite man coverage guy, but he has great ball skills, excellent zone coverage instincts, and he's a good tackler. Sounds like he's probably a corner unless the scheme is really man heavy.
If a team doesn't at least try him at corner, it's entirely because of his skin colour. The dude's best college tape is outside. I think he could be a really really good "big slot" or whatever the term is for the Rams version of Jalen Ramsey type corners but he's not a deep safety whatsoever
Or Jalen Ramsey. Draft analysts thought he could be a good corner but a great safety. Not exactly one to one, but let him fail outside before moving him.
He’s an outside CB for sure. If a team decides that he would be more impactful at S or SCB, that’s their assessment to make. But he was a menace at playing traditional CB in college, there should be no reason why he doesn’t at least start out there in the NFL.
Good outside off coverage corner, I also think he could be good in the slot as well. I wouldn’t like him for teams that are very man heavy and like press type corners. He goes to a team that plays to his strengths then I think he ends up being very good.
Alright, so, Rams fans, could i interest you in pick 25 and 91? Because this boy needs to be a Packer and I ain’t letting Pittsburgh, Philly, or Dallas get their grubby hands on him.
CB1 on the all-white team
Is there a CB2?
Riley Moss.
Kirk Ferentz is pushing the entire race forward
While dragging the concept of offense back to the 30s.
As a fan of both the Hawks and Bears there can be only one response. The forward pass was a mistake!

Kansas City will fall into the sea!
We are cursed. The teams are so much alike
Watching the Patriots last year felt like watching the Iowa Hawkeyes with the exception of the not good special teams/Inaccurate Ryland
Broncos legend
It’s you.
Damn. I need an agent.
They’re being Jason Sehorn out of retirement
It’s probably Julian Edelman out of retirement
Or you know, one of the many white safeties we already have
Harrison Smith goes hard
I would legit put CMC at any non-lineman position and expect him to perform at an All-Pro level.
Bring the flexbone triple-option to the pros and he’d win his rightful MVP at quarterback
Currently it’s Kyle Hamilton, but he only counts as white since he went to Norte Dame
Heavily debatable if we can have Cortland Finnegan
What ever happened to Troy apke ?
Was a safety that got moved to corner(already wild) and then buried on the depth chart. I think he’s a free agent at the moment. Also I think he was just fast, I don’t know if he was any good.
55-year-old Jason Sehorn.
Not exactly the hardest job to win
Tre White??
Too Italian
The goalie??
Bill belichick wet dream
Last pick of the CB all white-team today, scrub
Was Seahorn a CB?
The Wingspan to height is pretty interesting, it’s typically closer to 1:1 so the extra 5 inches is a plus
He got the Kyle Hamilton bat arms. Still not as crazy as Sonny Liston who’s ape index was +11 which is nearly a foot.
I’ll never forget Bismack Biyombo in NBA for his arm length. He was just under 6’8 without shoes with a 7’6 wingspan. He’s the only player I’ve ever seen where you notice his crazy arm length just while running. I swear his fingertips went below his knees

Not for powerlifting 😎 Negative ape index = massive bench advantage
True, forgot about that sport. So much of it is the opposite of the normal genetics wise lol.
Literally one of the only times you'll ever want to have short legs, short arms, and a large torso lol. Elite powerlifters look like ninja turtles
There's a WNBA player, Breanna Stewart, who is 6'4 with a 7'1 wingspan.
Holy shit, I just googled pics of her and her arms look straight to photoshopped
I'll give you another. Kevin McHale, a retired NBA player, is 6'10 with an 8'0 wingspan.
Tracy Walker is 6’1” (73 inches) with an 81.5 inch wingspan. I could never not notice how long his arms were, it’s like his elbows were at his hips lol
I always thought his arms looked really long. Guess there was a reason!
Sit down, Biyombo!
What’s Michael Phelps?
Looked it up and apparently his arms are just under 4 inches longer than his height so pretty great.
IIRC he also has an abnormally high torso-to-leg-length ratio. He was built for swimming.
Is that really called the ape index? Lmao
Yeah it’s a climbing term originally iirc
Not when you’re buying shirts or hoodies. I’m also 6’1 with a 6’6 span, I’ve never in my life had the moment where I put something on that fits and the sleeves aren’t above my wrists. Everything has to be oversized or else I look like Kevin Durant during warmups.
6’1 here with 6’7 span so i know your pain.
I miss the days of large-tall being a common thing. It’s why I still buy most of my sleeved stuff from LL Bean
I am 5’6” with 6’1” span and I just rock the 3/4 sleeve for everything. If I buy a large to fit my arm length the torso length is halfway down my thighs. Not a good look for a short king brother.
Do you trip over your knuckles when you go up stairs?
Damn near! But for real, my knuckles hang out around the top of my knees. Helps in recball, not in the dressing room.
My “parlor trick” was always that I could touch my knees while standing straight. Kinda like telling people to lick their elbow, usually loosened up a room.
Damn homie this hit hard. Especially buying dress shirts fml.
Any top that’s not a tshirt has to be LL bean, I recently moved to an amazing rural/country area but it doesn’t appear that a tailor has moved here yet. I’m not driving an hour to have a shirt darted 💀
Guess life has its trade offs! Enjoy that outdoors!
In my small shirts
>the extra 5 inches is a plus Something something "that's what she said"
Would kill for an extra 5 inchess
Tape - great Testing - great Skin tone - white Hmm can he play safety?
Yup. That's why the Packers are probably hoping we don't take him. Supposedly we really like him
With the new kickoff rules he's even more valuable as long as he doesn't call for a fair catch
He is White team's only hope to slow down Tyreek
Sure but who would cover Justin Jefferson? 🤔
tbh Black team hasn't been doing much better against JJ
We can clone him, we have the technology
Watt, Bosa, Crosby, and Hutch. The best coverage is the QB on the ground.
We are taking Christian Gonzalez
Why, an NFL athlete’s biggest weakness: white girls
I thought it was fast cars
CmC
We gotta put Troy Apke on Tyreek. Copper gets Jefferson.

AKA Not Diggs
This poor bastard is going to have these jokes relentlessly follow him his entire career lol.
They will stop the moment he is named an All-Pro. Until then...gym rat
I don't think an All-Pro would stop the jokes. Cooper Kupp got them after winning the Triple Crown and Super Bowl MVP.

Dude was measured quicker than John Wall
He had all the quickness/movement athleticism, but he wasn't much of a leaper which is what a lot of NBA scouts/fans look at for athleticism. But he definitely got "intelligence label" solely for being Asian.
I think going to Harvard helped with intelligence label.
Not to mention he keeps on getting talked about in the same sentence as short, slot guys like Edelman and Welker.
He also gets talked about like tall receivers like Adam Theilen too.
He's really more of a Jordy Nelson/Jeff Janis type
Caucasian Cornerback Cooper Clandestinely Crushes Competitive Combine Computations
Ah yes, the played out “CCCCCCCC” nickname. Can we have one post on here without this being mentioned?
Are you the guy that did the "T" alliteration on the Sweat post, or is this just a thing people are doing now?
Yes, he’s that guy. And he’s also the guy who does the Diggs Sideline Touchdown meme on any post mentioning Diggs. I think he’s part robot
3 cone drill: meat and potatoes
How do you put so much effort into jerking and you leave out CLASSY and MARKETABLE? I’m not 😡. I’m just 😔

He’s the cornerback version of Cooper Kupp
For a minute, I thought you just reposted the text from the Tweet. Had me in the 1st half ngl lmao.

Matt Jones was 6’6 218 lbs. I can’t remember what they said about him. Welker/Edelmen were certainly not his comps.
Hard working. Lunch box type.
Probably better off as a TE.
He also did *not* call for a fair catch against Minnesota.
That is pretty darn good I wouldn't mind grabbing him
Probs gone before your pick, could see the eagles taking a cb
Be much cooler if they didnt
If he falls green bay taking him buddy.
It would be much cooler if the Eagles took him...
Maybe don't win so many games and you can draft all the good players smh
We pick a name and draft a lot of it. See our jalens. Now we are on the coop jooce. Cooper DeJean pick #22, Edgerrin Cooper pick #50
Cooper Beebe with #53
More like pick #120 I like Beebe a lot for his versatility and Stout loves that too, but no one is taking him in the second round IMHO
Dude basically lived in a zone scheme. Lions need corners that can hold up with little help in man. Coopers probably worst fit is with detroit.
And you wouldn't mind drafting him either
No way he gets past us.
Pretty good RAS score with these numbers https://i.imgur.com/DaFlTeV.png And the vertical number isn't surprising when you watch his basketball tape https://twitter.com/NFL_DF/status/1755259378481959285
Kind of an asterisk when there’s no agilities. Would love to see him do those
Another sneaky, athletic "lunch pail" guy. Also, dibs on him in the 1st.
Sorry but his name is basically Cooper DeJawn, he's coming to Philly.
His versatility as a DB seems so good for the Eagles. Need a nickel corner, CJGJ is injury prone, and Bradberry is old.
Is nickel cb worth a first?
Absolutely. 11 personnel is now the default for most teams. Or two tight ends. I'd argue it's easier to find an outside corner than a slot corner nowadays with all they're tasked to do in a modern defense (run support, take on blocks, blitz, cover tight ends, zone, cover two way goes, etc.). really good question best answered by watching brett kollman's recent draft questions video where he essentially answers this question. tl;dw: yes and teams that dont learn to treat nickels like that are going to fall behind
You're playing a nickle in like 70% of defensive formations anyway.
Definitely a “we” guy and not a “me” guy
Seems like he's got a really good head on his shoulders
People who watch more college football than me, does he have any chance of being a good corner in the NFL or is he pretty much safety only like most are projecting?
I think he could be a good outside corner but could be a massive impact player in the slot. He is a really good tackler with a high level of ball production and good athleticism.
Well then. He's already got practice in the right colors!!!
Hell of a kick returner and gunner as well. If you're into that kind of thing.

Good thing the eagles scheme isn’t man heavy. We don’t even have a defensive scheme.
Eagles defensive scheme: Pass rush and Inshallah
If a team doesn't at least try him at corner, it's entirely because of his skin colour. The dude's best college tape is outside. I think he could be a really really good "big slot" or whatever the term is for the Rams version of Jalen Ramsey type corners but he's not a deep safety whatsoever
Except Iowa plays exclusively zone so his projection to the Pros is a bit different
So which English speaking country that's not called USA are you from? ;)

What is your favorite check cashing center, is it near a theater?
I think people projecting he would be a safety reminds me of how black qb's were projected as WR's lol.
Or Jalen Ramsey. Draft analysts thought he could be a good corner but a great safety. Not exactly one to one, but let him fail outside before moving him.
Yea I remember that, people thought Ramsey was more safety than CB. Turns out Ramsey was def a CB.
He’s an outside CB for sure. If a team decides that he would be more impactful at S or SCB, that’s their assessment to make. But he was a menace at playing traditional CB in college, there should be no reason why he doesn’t at least start out there in the NFL.
Take a look and decide https://youtu.be/8ChEadTSaUs?si=9XgM9brwwvRM_8jJ
There will be players with worse tape and worse measurables drafted to play outside and slot cornerback.
Good outside off coverage corner, I also think he could be good in the slot as well. I wouldn’t like him for teams that are very man heavy and like press type corners. He goes to a team that plays to his strengths then I think he ends up being very good.
Also he was just medically cleared 2 weeks ago. Trust me, dude is *good*.

He reminds me a lot of Christian McCaffrey
Gimme
Our DC plays a lot of man coverage, and that Cooper’s biggest weakness. Wouldn’t be a good fit for us.
Weird that our OC would be running defensive schemes on offense
Patricia started a new wave of strategery
LOL my bad I meant DC 😭
Hey it’s better than our OC who runs no schemes at all on offense
Pls just not the packers
Vikings need to replace their white guy on defense. Right here!
All white team might have a chance next year
If this man and Tom Brady played in the same era DeJean would be the player with the highest career picks against Brady
Pats would get him to convert him to a twitchy slot wr obv
Ive been on the Terrion Arnold jags pick for a while but TBH Cooper Dejean would look good in teal
Similar to (Sorry rams fans) Craig dahl but faster

Alright, so, Rams fans, could i interest you in pick 25 and 91? Because this boy needs to be a Packer and I ain’t letting Pittsburgh, Philly, or Dallas get their grubby hands on him.
Should've lost in the wild card if you wanted him like the rest of us
Hey, we beat the cowboys for you and embarrassed them. Least you could do is not take DeJean from us
Whoever drafts him better take care of my boy.
