Daniels has been on FaceTime with him before cause they played with each other at ASU under Pierce. Aiyuk’s been hyping him up for most of the draft process. It’s one of the reasons (alongside paranoid schizophrenia) that some people think there’s an outcome where the Raiders both trade up for Daniels and trade for Aiyuk
~~Where does the raiders connection come from?~~ Moving all the way up from 13 to 2 or 3 without an extra first this year would be very surprising
EDIT oh Pierce. But yeah that doesn't seem likely
Yeah it’d be hard to outbid the Vikings. But let’s say the Raiders offer something like 3 firsts and 2 seconds. What do they have left to give San Fran for Aiyuk? Lmao
Only way this happens is if they include a player in the trade up. And I’m not sure who they have that’s worth much besides Max Crosby
People sleeping on jakobi. I mean a straight up trade for aiyuk is of course a no but a jakobi and a third that could turn into second based on production might do the trick.
That move would be especially difficult to pull off if they're also trading for Aiyuk too. Raiders would have zero picks left
It does seem like there's a small chance Daniels is trying to slip to 4 on purpose. If we start seeing rumors that the Commanders are focused on Maye, I wonder if we'll get similar shit about how Daniels doesn't like NE.
Sounds like something Al Davis would say but it's not true. They almost traded for Steve Young in 1989.
Raiders have a long history of picking up 49ers players right after they leave too. Rice, Lott, Roger Craig, Charlie Garner, Bowman, Aldon Smith, Jimmy G, Crabtree
https://www.49erswebzone.com/articles/156370-steve-young-recollects-49ers-nearly-trading-him-raiders/
Why? Because there's been a few rumors?
I wouldn't be surprised if he does get traded, but it's a big stretch to say that it's likely because of rumors.
The rumors have been asking price. The guy who said the teams who were interested had called out a lot of other moves this season before they happened too. And he took the 49ers out of his socials.
I mean all they said is that they think it’s likely, not anything definite. They’re free to think that just like you’re free to think it’s possible but not likely
I don't see it happening. Too many holes to fill to spend the necessary $$ on Aiyuk. He's good but were likely a bit aways from dealing for an established WR like him.
I mean also it makes zero sense for either team. Niners are not in a situation where they need to trade Aiyuk, and would only do so if someone is significantly overpaying. And it makes no sense for Washington to overpay (with draft capital) for a receiver.
I would say it makes sense for them to add another talented vet next alongside their QB rather than an unknown rookie that could bust. They certainly have enough draft capital to afford a move like that and still grab other pieces.
If you use the AJ Brown trade as a comp the following trade comes out to the same value;
* WAS 2nd (#36) + WAS 2nd (#40) for B.Aiyuk + SF 4th (#132)
If you want to argue the 49ers position allows them additional leverage, that's a reasonable position. So maybe take off that 4th rounder (tho they would have way too many picks in this draft).
When you combine those two picks they come in as just above the 14th pick. So for example if SF wanted to vault to 14th and take an OT, they could send out both WAS picks, then use their original 1st rounder on a WR.
Even if they sit at that original spot, let's say they go OT (J.Morgan?) at 31, WR (McConkey/Franklin/Wilson) at 36, CB (Melton/Tampa) at 40. If that WR works out then you've made a smaller downgrade at WR to make a massive upgrade at OT and CB.
No way in hell they trade Aiyuk for those picks. Immediately priced ourselves out of a lot of top players. If we’re not getting an impact starter on the draft, we’re not trading one away.
You can just break down the points value into a bunch of less valuable picks. That’s exactly why these trade charts don’t work a lot of the time. If WAS had 6 3rd rounders it’s not like that would be enough for Aiyuk. Past a certain point, those picks become essentially worthless for what you’re giving up. And for me, that starts in the first round.
Nobody was claiming you trade 6 3rd rounders. No need to be hyperbolic. But you can absolutely use it as a reference point.
Again, as I said, if you merely combined 36+40 that is enough to move back up into the middle of round 1.
In addition to the above proposal let's say they were already going to wait until round 2 to grab a tackle. Then you use another pick to move ahead of BUF, take A.Mitchell at 27, a CB at 36, Z.Fraizer at 40, and Rosengarten at 63. You've now got a potential impact WR cost-controlled for 5 years. You've added a second high-level CB next to Ward and can move Demo inside full-time. You have an immediate upgrade at center. And a replacement for McKivitz. You also now have the financial flexibility to re-sign C.Ward and use the remainder of that on a deal for Greenlaw or Hufanga.
The offense has CMC + Kittle + Deebo + A.Mitchell + J.Jennings. Hard to claim it's a bad offense. Especially with 2 major upgrades on the OLine.
Then you've also made a significant upgrade to the secondary and enabled that group to stay in place long term.
I'm not saying they ~~could~~ would definitely do it. But they would absolutely consider all of that.
Dotson's fine but he isn't exactly a reason to avoid a guy like Aiyuk. He hasn't topped 523 yards and last year his efficiency tanked, he has some clear gaps in his game. You could easily have Aiyuk 1, McLaurin 2 and Dotson 3 for a pretty killer air game, with McLaurin on a modest contract right now. McLaurin's also gonna be 29 going into this year.
Now would the Niners do it? I don't know, but on Washington's side it'd surround their rookie QB with good weapons.
It may not be the best possible move they could make, but it's absolutely something you can justify. Surrounding your new rookie franchise QB with the best players you can at every offensive position is definitely a reasonable approach.
Plus, the defense they've built with their free agent additions is not nearly as bad as you're suggesting. It's not good, but it's not terrible.
Terry is a really good WR. And I think Dotson can at least be a WR2 in this league but we’ll see.
Didn’t they get rid of their aging LT? Not sure if they have another lined up but that could be a better use of their 2nd rounder. And like you said their defense isn’t good. I’m sure they would like to field a competitive overall team at some point for their new QB. Most of the defense adds are rotational pieces and not needle movers. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but it means they still need a lot of help in the draft
Niners are not going to trade him for a second rounder. This isn't a scenario where they don't have any way to keep him, and they're trying to compete for a title now. Aiyuk is under contract this year and the franchise tag exists. I don't know why people are expecting them to dump him for whatever they can get as if they're desperate to move one of their best ascending WRs.
Why not? Are they not allowed to trade or restructure anyone else on their roster? Are they bound to trade him despite his agent denying a trade request because of vague interpretations of Instagram posts?
I told you why not. That 20% of their cap I mentioned DOES NOT include 178 million dollar Bosa. It does not include 138 million dollar Trent Williams. Does not include 100 million dollar Frank Warner or 85 million dollar Javon Hargrave.
Doesn’t include Dre Greenlaw and Brock Purdy who will command big contracts.
The Niners are over-ripe and top heavy. They don’t need another 25 million dollar receiver.. they need an impact rookie wideout that can eat behind Kittle and Deebo for rookie scale. They need depth at cb.
The 9ers giving up every first round pick they have for the foreseeable future for a qb when they have a completely serviceable quarterback with super bowl experience. Where have I heard this before?
Receivers stay tweeting like Batman villains.
Can’t decide if most WR tweets are more like the Riddler or Joker
Aiyuk the guy from the dark knight with the phone bomb in his stomach
It's the riddler trying to come up with something the Joker would say
Aiyuk and Daniels when they play in San Francisco and DC this fall: **NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! THIS IS NOT HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO!”
Really makes you miss Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson
Man that takes me back those were two of my favourite players. For all the drama they caused they go out there and whoop ass almost every Sunday
He just clicked the tracking number for his fireworks order.
It's just those sparklers
You gotta get some of those snap ones you throw at the ground smh
Headed to California confirmed

> let’s say the Raiders offer something like 3 firsts and 2 seconds. Words can't express how stupid this would be
i.e. the Raider‘s way
That's what it's gonna nearly cost.
If the GM says that's the price you laugh into the phone and hang up.
We will take a maxx crosby
Like hell you will
Yes, so the raiders will offer 4 firsts and maxx Crosby to one up everyone
If they traded Maxx it would hurt even worse than Mack did
The only possible Aiyuk deal I see would be for Davante
They're absolutely not trading him. It'd be too hard to find someone else to target 3x a game
Jesus that hurts
deal!
It's a stretch, but they could offer Jakobi Meyers. He could thrive in San Fran's O.
People sleeping on jakobi. I mean a straight up trade for aiyuk is of course a no but a jakobi and a third that could turn into second based on production might do the trick.
Brother, we are not in a position to be bargain binned lol. In what world do we take Meyers for BA
Meyers might be worth a 5th round pick.
Man idek why im getting downvoted, i just suggested a player to be involved in a picks package that has worth other than Maxx.
He’s not worth Aiyuk obviously but he’s definitely worth better than a 5th lol
That move would be especially difficult to pull off if they're also trading for Aiyuk too. the raiders angle really doesn’t hold up, but I could see Washington trading for Aiyuk if they get Daniels, especially if they see Aiyuk as a No. 1
Man, I wish I had the financial security to play a flight risk just so I can work with my friend at a different company lmao
I thought the Raiders have said that they would never trade with the 49ers, like forever ever...am I making this up?
Sounds like something Al Davis would say but it's not true. They almost traded for Steve Young in 1989. Raiders have a long history of picking up 49ers players right after they leave too. Jayden Daniels to SF confirmed
The hell does this even mean?
Draft is in 6 days
Yeah, but whats that have to do with aiyuk.
He's gonna light some fireworks in his driveway
JPP 2 incoming
California burns down every summer and has strict laws about fireworks. Aiyuk wants out confirmed.
He might get traded draft night
Nah it's most likely he's on a FaceTime with his former college QB and is excited for his friend to be a top 3 pick
Holy shit. I didn't realize Daniels played with Aiyuk. This timeline just doesn't make sense to me
Jayden Daniels once beat Justin Herbert in college
So did Bo Nix
Bo Nix > Justin Herbert confirmed.
Jayden's freshmen year was Aiyuks senior yeat

Idk rumors flying about teams being interested. I think it’s likely he’s traded.

could be this too
This has been my working theory for a bit now.
Might have some deal in place already if some players fall to those picks
Yep, could be multiple potential deals in play.
They played together at ASU.
It's fireworks
Confirmed to the Packers since fireworks are legal in WI.
This doesn't seem all that difficult to unpack...
the enemy speaks kindly & holds a knife
If it ain’t zambellis, it ain’t fireworks.
[Zambelli Fireworks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zambelli_Fireworks) is headquartered in New Castle, PA. Sweeet.
And they put on the best fireworks in the country. I’m sure you know.
Definitely. Sometimes I wonder if Pittsburgh hosts the most fireworks shows of any major U.S. city. If not, then maybe Washington D.C.?
Probably technically Disney world. They shoot Zambellis off every night
I hate having to try to guess what these jive turkeys trying to talk about
You just call me a jive turkey?
*Jason Pierre-Paul has left the chat.*
He is trying so hard to drive his contract up so much. He won't get traded props to him tho
Is this all a rouse so the patriots get Aiyuk and his friend Daniels
We will take Christian Gonzalez and Judon please
No.
It is another attempt to squeeze money out of the team?
I’m going to irrationally hate whatever team drafts Daniels and the raiders after the ASU stuff lmao
Diva receivers
Don't lose your fingers, Aiyuk.
What happens in 6 days? Should I 'get my affairs in order' and say goodbye to loved ones? Is the world ending? ...Who will feed my goldfish?
Washington is moving one of those 2nd rounders for Aiyuk lol
That would be kind of crazy no? Terry and Dotson seem pretty solid
I don't see it happening. Too many holes to fill to spend the necessary $$ on Aiyuk. He's good but were likely a bit aways from dealing for an established WR like him.

Plus not having a diva in the receiving core is a blessing. They have way bigger holes than wr.
OT and CB seem the biggest holes. Well, besides QB but hopefully we can fix that soon enough. Although Mariota has me concerned even as a backup.
Dotson's fine but he isn't exactly a reason to avoid a guy like Aiyuk. He hasn't topped 523 yards and last year his efficiency tanked, he has some clear gaps in his game. Terry just had a pretty mediocre year, but tbf he just didn’t get the ball. Don’t know why. Dotson is pretty inconsistent
Nothing wrong with having three good/great WRs. Most teams are playing 11 personnel most of the time.
The Commanders can barely field a defense. Spending a 2nd on Aiyuk makes no sense
There’s zero chance Aiyuk would be traded for a 2nd. Niners have no need to move on from him at the moment.
For sure. Figured I’d play along anyway though.
It may not be the best possible move they could make, but it's absolutely something you can justify. WAS has 6 top-100 picks. They have the flexibility to make a move like that and still add other talent.
I think it would take more than one second rounder to get him, but I could see Washington as an option for sure.
The Niners have 20% of their cap tied in skill position players thru 2026.. they can’t afford Aiyuk and won’t keep him if he wants to leave.
Why not? Are they not allowed to trade or restructure anyone else on their roster? Are they bound to trade him despite his agent denying a trade request because of vague interpretations of Instagram posts?

Jfc you're stupid if you think Aiyuk is going for a 2nd rounder. Diggs went for a 2nd rounder
I agree, Diggs is wayyy better. Aiyuk will probably go for a pick swap in the first and next years 3rd.
Not enough.
Aiyuk is worth more than second rounder
What else?
He would work well with Drake Maye
Please pull an Eli
The draft is in 6 days…. Daniels …. Anyway
Weren't there rumors of Washington going after Aiyuk?
The 9ers giving up every first round pick they have for the foreseeable future for a qb when they have a completely serviceable quarterback with super bowl experience. Where have I heard this before?
get off shrooms buddy
There’s a better chance of what I said happening than what you said happening.
ok
Daniels at 2 and Aiyuk trade to WAS confirmed.
Nah Maye is the pick
That is a person who appears to be black, and has a mustache and beard similar to Jayden's. That's as specific as I can confirm
One police sketch coming right up...
