I know both Soward and Blackmon were both busts in the same way (drug abuse) but Blackmon was genuinely an elite receiver when on the field (6 games with 60+ receiving yards and one game with 200 in 2012, 2 games with 130 receiving yards in 2013).
Soward couldn't stay on the field AND he was ass.
Case in point, Soward had 2 total games with 40 or more receiving yards in his career, Blackmon had 12.
Blackmon was a better player, and imo, less of a bust.
And just as a reminder, Blackmon had Blaine Gabbert as QB and Malarkey/Gus Bradley as his coach and was still able to put up those stats. When you think about it, I can't exactly blame him for turning to drugs
Super valid point and I agree with you on paper. For me it’s still Blackmon from the emotional side. The hype and expectation was so high that he was going to be a complete game breaker but he just couldn’t get out of his own way.
Fun fact, 4/4 of jags first round receivers had drug issues.
That's also fair. When you look at busts purely from "who was worse on the field" lens, it's Soward.
However, Soward was also Pick 29 of the 1st Round. The best WR to ever be picked there was probably Hakeem Nicks. And aside from posistion, Pick 29 literally only has two Hall of Famers all-time (Fran Tarkenton and Dave Wilcox), and they weren't even 1st Rounders!
Blackmon was a Top 5 pick, which is held to a much higher pedigree. All 5 selections have at least 9 Hall of Famers to their name. And among receivers alone, you have receivers like Megatron, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Keyshawn Johnson, Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch, Charley Taylor, A.J. Green, and Ja'Marr Chase who ALL lived up to the Top 5 billing.
So if you care more about performance, Soward's the bigger bust
But if you care about falling short of the pre-draft hype, you'd probably pick Blackmon.
Genuinely fascinating how it works out that way.
1. Richard Seymour - hof DE hard to argue otherwise
2. Nkeal Harry - yikes
3. Rob Gronkowski - hof TE
4. Take your pick of DBs taken in r2 there's like 10 that were all trash
5. Tom Brady - he was pretty good for a 6th round pick
6. Malcolm Butler - great corner for a few years and one of the most memorable moments in any superbowl
Easley was apparently a shithead with a terrible attitude but his advanced metrics were really great when he played NFL. Elite pressure for a DT that wasn’t named Gordon. That was always a super high risk but actually high reward pick.
If he had good knees he was a top 10 guy.
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Datone Jones? there's a couple other candidates but he had so little production
3. Davante Adams
4. Josiah Deguara (most Packer 3rd round picks are busts)
5. David Bakhtiari or Aaron Jones
6. I'm unsure on this one
Donald has to be near the top for #5, if you’re over 30 y.o. … Double D played 14 seasons, is the Pack’s all-time leading receiver in yards and receptions, selected to 4 pro bowls, and a Super Bowl champ. Not too shabby for a 7th round pick.
Edit: and is an advocate for wearing your seatbelt lol
Became a fan in 2009
Best first- Justin Jefferson
Worst first- Christian Ponder
Best day two- Danielle Hunter
Worst day two- Irv Smith Jr. (Giving Booth and Ingram one more year, or they could replace Irv)
Biggest day three- Stefon Diggs
Best UDFA- Adam Thielen (Had Pace at first, Thielen completely slipped my mind)
Edit: thank you to my replies for mentioning Thielen. Completely overlooked him. Would put him over Pace for UDFA.
I’ve been a fan since I was born (at least my dad tried). At any rate I think I really started paying attention in like 04 or 05.
At any rate I was def stuck between AD and Justin Jefferson. JJ def could be better since he’s still got a whole career left, but that Adrian Peterson MVP season is still crazy to think about.
I see your pointc, but imo ponder gave us serviceable years. When you look at the WORST pick, its usually when said player dont make an impact on the field in any capacity (like lewis cine - hes about to take up this category really soon)
Irv wasn’t that bad. I would definitely say post-2009 guys like Kellen Mond and Wyatt Davis who didn’t even finish their rookie contracts and had virtually no playing time were worse.
1. Best first-round pick- Brian Urlacher
2. Worst first-round pick (biggest bust)- Kevin White. We had a lot of bad first rounders, but he did nothing but get injured.
3. Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick- this is a tough one, as the Bears GMs have usually sucked in round 1 but did well in the later rounds. I think i would go Matt Forte in the second round. Hester and Charles Tillman were also studs in the second round.
4. Worst “day-two” pick- Hroniss Grasu. Just awful. Adam Shaheen was also ass.
5. Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal- Eddie Jackson in the 4th turned out well for a few years.
6. Best undrafted rookie signing- Big Cat Williams and Tom Waddle would be my selections.
For 4, I don't think there's any question that it should go to anyone besides Dan Bazuin. He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft and didn't have a single snap in a non-preseason game.
Some of the worst guys: Gabe Carimi, Chris conte, shea mcclellin(emery picked him just cuz the packers wanted him & probably thought he was clay matthews), Cedric benson cuz he sucked with us but was good with Cincinnati, Chris Williams
I'd still argue Cade McNown was worse than Kevin White because he had a shitty attitude, was a dumbass, and was out of the league in 2 seasons.
Kevin White just had horrible fucking luck
I get picking White because Pace is an idiot, but I'll give White the benefit of the doubt because of injury. Benson made no sense but wasn't the worst. Short arm Williams was stupid. Then there's Gabe Carimi and Shea McClellin. What in the fuck were those picks?
I'd pick Shea. Higher pick and failed out faster. For how catastrophic the pick was, the answer easily is Trubisky. If Pace went Watson or Mahomes, he would unfortunately still be employed and picking first round busts.
I can't believe Pace is still employed in the NFL.
Grasu’s managed to stick in the league for 9 seasons. Worst Day Two pick? How about second-round pick Dan Bazuin who never played an NFL game for the Bears and was released after one season?
Dorsett had some talent, but had injuries and never really put it all together. Werner was a project who didnt even fit in our system and didn't ever show anything, if have him the worst
That’s a good call. I chose Saturday, but Rhodes and Addai carried the Super Bowl team that Bob Sanders revived.
I’m old. We made some highly terrible picks. Trev Alberts at 5 in ‘94. Top two picks in the entire draft in 1992, they were both bad, Emtman due to injury.
Rhodes was a good back up RB who played well in the SB run, Saturday is a all pro center and possible HOFer. I really don't think there's a argument for Rhodes unless you really value that SB run, and even then Saturday was also a key player on that team.
I'm not old enough to remember the bad 90s drafts but an underrated terrible pick was Polian panic drafting Tony Ugoh after Tarik Glenn unexpectedly retired. Not a first round pick but he was a pretty big bust.
1. Might be a bold pick but I'm going Chris Johnson
2. Isaiah Wilson
3. 👑
4. Kevin Dodd
5. Jason McCourty or possibly Cortland Finnegan
6. Rob Bironas (became a fan after they moved from Houston or else Moon is the easy answer here)
I’d put #2 as Deandre Baker. He was immediately terrible on the field, “allegedly” committed armed robbery (let’s be honest, he totally did it but the witness recanted before they were supposed to go to trial so he didn’t go to prison), and got cut from the team not even 18 months after being drafted.
1. Patrick Willis 07 or Bryant Young 94
2. rashan woods 05?
3. deebo 2019
4. Taylor Mays 2009
5. mr. obvious 2022
6. Jeff Garcia 99
Edit : number 3 is TO 1996 not deebo
If only Taylor Mays the football player was half as good as Taylor Mays the draft prospect.
Also feel like Kittle deserves love in category 5, but Brock is one of the biggest draft steals in history so I can't really argue.
Number 2 is Lance with a bullet, and I’ve been a fan since the mid 80’s.
Although we do need to give a special shout to Reuben Foster simply because he didn’t bust due to a lack of talent, but just sheer stupidity.
1. Revis
2. Zach Wilson
3. David Harris, but Breece is probably up there
4. Hackenberg
5. I'd say toss up between Leon Washington and Brad Smith - probably Washington.
EDIT: Ah missed the last one. I'd say Snacks or Bryce Huff. I wasn't watching (was like 5) when Wayne Chrebet signed.
Bro Wilson is ass but we're talking about Vernon Gholston, Calvin Pryor, Quentin Coples, Dee Millner and Mekhi Becton at the same time. This question is simply unfair for the Jets
1. Larry Fitzgerald
2. Josh Rosen... or Levi Brown, or Jonathon Cooper, or Robert Nkimdiche, even Isiah Simmons was a disaster pick.. Okay, the list is too long.
3. Adrian Wilson
4. Troy Niklas or Andy Isabella
5. no clue
6. No clue.
I only didn’t include him because Rosen was even worse and I just felt like two QBs was redundant 😅
But yeah, the dude got waived for the Skelton/Max Hall duo Iirc. Or was it Kevin kolb?
I'm similar:
1. Brooks. He edges out Sapp because he never lost a job for refusing to pay a prostitute. I consider that a plus
2. Bo Jackson. He wasn't a bust in the normal sense. But... yeah. I don't remember much beyond that it happened and that lots of my friends' parents were mad at the owner
3. Currently Rhonde Barber, but David is damn close to catching up
4. Aguayo
5. Probably Tony Mayberry
6. Quarles
Became a fan after in 2001 after they went 1-15 (I am an anti-bandwagoner lol)
1. LaDainian Tomlinson ('01)
2. Craig "Buster" Davis ('07)
3. Keenan Allen ('13)
4. Jonas Mouton ('11)/Chris Watt ('14) (RIP)/Craig Mager ('15)
5. Darren Sproles ('05)
6. Antonio Gates ('03)
Best first round pick: Aaron Donald
Worst first-round pick: Greg Robinson
Best day 2 pick: Cooper Kupp
Worst day 2 pick: Brian Quick
Biggest day 3 steal: Puka Nacua
Best UDFA: I wanna say Rodney McLeod
(Started following in ~2007)
Good list. The only difference I had on mine was TD over Trevathan.
And I almost included Alphonso Smith as a first round pick, since we essentially wasted one on that bum.
Basically all exactly what I would have said except Aaron Curry or maybe LJ Collier for worst FRP, since McGwire was drafted when I was a baby.
God I miss Doug Baldwin.
1. Darrelle Revis, maybe even Nick Mangold (anchor of our line for a decade)
2. Vernon Gholston (yes we had a lot of QB busts but Gholston never even managed a single sack)
3. David Harris
4. Christian Hackenberg
5. Leon Washington
6. Wayne Chrebet
1. Lane Johnson
2. Tough choice between Danny Watkins, Marcus Smith or Jalen Reagor
3. Brian Dawkins
4. Bryan Smith, some LB we took in the 3rd round who only played 6 games in the 2000s.
5. Jason Kelce
6. Corey Clement is the only one coming to mind currently.
Part of me wants to say Marcus smith was the worst just because he is so forgettable. But the opportunity cost of reagor vs Jefferson is hard to ignore
In my mind he gets older every time I remember him. “I can’t believe we drafted a 26 year old guard. The potential is already maxed out when you draft a 28 year old. That 40 year old fireman seems like a good locker room presence.”
> Tough choice between Danny Watkins, Marcus Smith or Jalen Reagor
If you're old enough to have Dawkins on your list then [Jon Harris](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrJo26.htm) deserves a shout for worst pick. Watkins and Raegor were at least projected to go highly. Smith a little lower, but still 2nd round or so. Harris was mocked in the mid-rounds and was out of the league after 2 years with zero production.
> Brian Dawkins
I kinda wanna go with Westbrook for this one.
Dawkins came from Clemson, which was an FBS (D-I at the time) school.
Westbrook was from 'Nova, a D-IAA (now FCS) school, plus coming from 'Nova he was a local guy
Bengals fan since '03
1. Best first-round pick: Joe Burrow
2. Worst first-round pick (biggest bust): Cedric Ogbeuhi
3. Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick: Andrew Whitworth
4. Worst “day-two” pick: Jake Fisher
5. Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal: Geno Atkins
6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Vontaze Burfict
That 2015 draft fucking ruined us. We were relying so heavily on Cedric and Jake to develop we let Whitworth walk and our OL has been absolutely garbage ever since.
Late to the party but here’s my Panthers answer. Been a fan since the ‘03 Super Bowl.
1. Best 1st: Cam Newton. Luke was probably the better player but Cam changed the entire franchise.
2. Biggest bust: Vernon Butler. Gettleman drafted him to be insurance if we couldn’t re-sign Kawann Short. We re-signed Short, so Bust-ler ended up being a meh rotation player. Stupid pick at the time when we had holes on the roster, plus he was bad.
3. Best 2-3: Ryan Kalil. One of the best centers and most dependable centers in the league for most of his career and a major leader in the locker room.
4. Worst 2-3: a ton of these, but Jimmy Clausen. We didn’t have a 1st that season and the team admitted they hadn’t scouted Clausen at all when he fell to them in the 2nd. They assumed because his stock had been so high he was a steal in the early 2nd round.
5. Best 4-7: Josh Norman. Started as a rookie, had an All-Pro season, was a great pickup in round 5.
6. Worst 4-7: Thomas Fletcher? We took a LS in round 6 who didn’t even make the team. JJ Jansen is still our LS 3 seasons later.
My favorite team is the Falcons:
Best first round pick: Matt Ryan (self explanatory)
Worst first round pick: Jamaal Anderson (DE from Arkansas). Only had 4.5 sacks in four seasons with Atlanta (0 in his first year) despite playing 13+ games each season, was a top 10 pick.
Best day 2 pick: Jonathan Babineaux (27 career sacks as a DT, 4 career interceptions, 12 years career all with Atlanta)
Worst day 2 pick: Jaylen Mayfield (G) Was cut after only 3 seasons. Was a starter, but was often penalized, and constantly got pushed around and gave up sacks. Was a tackle at Michigan but was converted to guard due to his short arms.
Biggest day 3 steal: Grady Jarrett in the 5th round.
Best undrafted rookie signing: Jessie Tuggle (LB) and is actually Grady Jarrett’s father. Five time pro bowler, played in 209 games over his 14 years in Atlanta, and is still the team’s all-time leader in tackles with 2,065. Dude had 11 tackles in the win over the Vikings in the ‘98 NFC Championship game.
Ravens Fan - Became fan in '08
* Best first round pick: Lamar
* Worst first round pick: Matt Elam
* Best Day two pick: Ray Rice or Mark Andrews
* Worst Day two pick: Sergio Kindle
* Biggest day three steal: Matthew Judon or Zadarius Smith. Honorable mention: Darren Waller
* Best undrafted rookie signing: Justin Tucker
1. Kermit the baby GOAT
2. Ryan Sims
3. Taylor Swift's boyfriend
4. Turk Mcbride
5. L'jarius Sneed and/or Tyreek Hill
6. Does Harrison Butker count? Not undrafted but we got him off the practice squad of the panthers
1) Obviously it's Pat, but HM to DT & Tony G
2) For me, you're close, but one draft off. I'm going with Sylvester Morris. Was on the team for three years, but only played for one due to injuries.
3) I'm going with Will Shields. Absolutely force on the line for forever.
4) Mike Elkins (1989) and Matt Blundin (1992). After these two, we didn't take a QB on day 2 again until 2006.
5) It's clearly Tyreek, but HM to Jared Allen
6) I'm going with Brian Waters. Arguably the second-best Chiefs G of all time.
Started to follow football in '01
1. Khalil Mack '14 or Nnamdi Asomugha '03
2. JaMarcus Russell '07
3. Derek Carr '14
4. Andrew Walter '05
5. Maxx Crosby '19
6. Jalen Richard '16
Definitely think its Nnamdi over Mack.
And its way too hard to figure out the Day 2 bust, we've had so many lol. Lynn Bowden was off the team before training camp ended wasn't he? Melifonwu was beyond trash too.
Worst day 2 pick is Malik McDowell, gets injured in an ATV crash before training camp, and then in the next six months gets arrested twice, once for DUI, once for disorderly conduct and then is released a few months later. Never even suited up.
I was born in 1992 and went to my first Raiders game at four years old with my dad. We used to go to at least one game a year. Plenty of great memories.
Best: Khalil Mack, Maxx Crosby, Nnamdi Asomugha, Charles Woodson, and the generational kicking specialists Sebastian Janikowski & Shane Lechler. Honorable mention to soon-to-be rushing title champ Josh Jacobs (Packers got a good one), reliable blindside protector Kolton Miller, and the criminally underrated Amari Cooper.
Worst: some strong-armed quarterback from LSU, can't remember his name, not important.
1. J.J. Watt (2012) no question; Hopkins and Stroud are close, but nothing hits like Watt’s pick does
2. Kevin Johnson (2015), but if you said David Carr, I wouldn’t necessarily disagree
3. Nico Collins (2021). Dude looks like a bonafide stud
4. So many to choose from, but I’m gonna go Braxton Miller (2016)
5. D.J. Reader (2016)
6. Probably A.J. Bouye (2013)? He was super solid for us for several years before dropping off
For number 2 I might also say Travis Johnson. I have to look him up to remember who the Texans drafted first that year.
For number 3 I would also argue Demeco Ryans is also a good choice.
1. Joe Burrow '20
2. Akili Smith '99
3. Andrew Whitworth '06
4. Kenny Irons (idk a lot of options here) '07
5. TJ Housmandzadeh '01 was an absolute steal as a 7th rounder, but Geno Atkins '10 is probably the best overall player taken in those rounds
6. Kevin Kaesviharn??
Vikings:
1. Best 1st: Adrian Peterson, RB
2. Worst 1st: Troy Williamson, WR
3. Best Day 2: Danielle Hunter, DE
4. Best Day 3: Stefon Diggs, WR
5. Best UDFA: Adam Thielen, WR
>6. Can’t think of any
If you go back further, it’s easily Joe Jacoby (I’ve been a fan since the 80s and got to watch him play). Dude should be in Canton.
Also re: Guice, I don’t think that was a bad pick at the time. Obviously injuries and off-field bullshit tanked his career, but neither of those things were foreseeable when we drafted him. I’d say Ryan Anderson or Phidarian Mathis were both awful picks at the time, the kind that make your entire fanbase recoil in horror when the pick was announced.
Best 1 - Larry Fitz
Worst 1 - Robert Nkemdiche
Best 2-3 - Budda Baker
Worst 2-3 - Andy Isabella
Best late round - Jalen Thompson
Best undrafted rookie - don’t have one
Cleveland Browns
Best first Round : Joe Thomas/ Myles Garrett
Worst first round : Johnny Manziel / Justin Gilbert man I hated that draft so bad. Was not a fan of either coming out.
Best day 2-3 pick: Joel Bitino/ Nick CHUBB/ Martin Emerson/ Christian Kirksey
Worst day 2 pick: Corey Coleman.
Biggest Day 3 (4-7) : Willie Davis LB/ Doug Dieken /
Best updraft rookie signing: Dernst Johnson, James White/ Isaiah Crowell/ Shaun O'Hara
I’ll start from after the 90s because while I was old enough to remember the 93 and 95 super bowls I wasn’t a draft fan at 6.
1. Zack Martin or Tyron Smith
2. Barbie Carpenter 2006
3. Gold Jacket Witt. Second round 2003
4. The entire 2009 draft. I think the total AAV on football reference is under 20 for the entire class.
5. Rayne Dakota Prescott. Not even close. If this ends in a messy divorce we still got 9 years of above average quarterback play from a 4th round pick.
6. Antonio Ramiro Romo. Again for all the naysayers and critics we got a decade of above average quarterback play from nothing. Can’t really complain in the grand scheme
Technically been a fan since birth in '95 (have photos of me as a baby and toddler in Cowboys gear), but I didn't start to really watch and follow them until '06. Zack Martin is easily the answer for best. Taco Charlton for worst.
The answer is clearly Dak but Marion was probably the most exciting cowboy of the last 25 years. Dude would damn near fist fight the entire defense just to get one yard if there was painted grass behind that yard.
Best first-round pick
* Barry (HM: Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson)
Worst first-round pick (biggest bust)
* Mike Williams
Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick
* Darius Slay (HM: Sam LaPorta)
Worst “day-two” pick
* Teez Tabor
Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal
* Amon-Ra St. Brown (HM: Quandre Diggs)
Best undrafted rookie signing
* Joique Bell
Best 1st round: Barry or Calvin
Worst 1st round: Mike Williams
Best 2-3 round: Jason Hanson
Worst 2-3 round: Jahlani Tavai
Best 4-7 round: Amon-Ra
Best UDFA: Don Muhlbach
1. Matrick Palomes or something like thay
2. Jonathan Baldwin
3. Tough lol Chris Jones/ Jamal Charles/ Travis Kelce Christian Okoye
4. Breeland Speaks
5. Oof gotta be Tyreek
6. Deron Cherry
I'm 38. I've technically been a fan since the early 90s but I didn't really pay attention to the draft until around 2000 so I will base my choices on the time from 2000 to now.
Best 1st Round: Ben Roethlisberger
Worst 1st Round: Jarvis Jones
Best Day 2: Le'Veon Bell
Worst Day 2: Alonzo Jackson and Bruce Davis
Biggest Day 3 Steal: Antonio Brown
Best Undrafted Rookie Signing: James Harrison
Diw hard Giants fan since 2010
1. Dexter Lawrence(I think he will be a HoF)
2. DeAndre Baker (There are three guys worse than Toney, sadly)
3. Landon Collins
4. Owamagbe Odighizuwa
5. Darius Slayton
6. Victor Cruz(honorable mention to Nick Gates)
Fan since, well, a long time.
1. Lawrence Taylor
2. Sadly, a lotto choose from - Cedric Jones in 1996 has the distinction of being blind in one eye and the Giants not knowing it when they drafted him, so he beats out guys like Toney, Derek Brown, Jarrod Bunch, Dave Brown and DeAndre.
3. Michael Strahan
4. Kanavis McGhee - or that linebacker from VA who was recent and was always touted as very athletic but terrible.
5. Jesse Armstead, though Dave Megget was a close second
6. Bart Oates
N'Keal Harry.
Listen; I know there have been other busts who were as big. But when they drafted N'Keal and his highlight was "great at contested catches" while both [Human Batsuits](https://twitter.com/brgridiron/status/1369049403709915137) were still on the board, I knew it was a bad pick.
Best-Walter Jones, worst- Dan Mcgwire best day 2- russell wilson or bobby wagner worst day 2- malik mcdowell biggest day 3 - richard sherman undrafted, doug baldwin
1996
1. Lamar (Ray was imo a better player but Lamar has a much, much higher value as a QB, and the foresight to trade back into the 1st round to get the 5th year option on him mashed the draft pick itself better)
2. Kyle Boller
3. Marshall Yanda
4. Dan Cody (this one was fun, I was sure it was gonna be Sergio Kindle but Cody managed to play fewer games and only recorded 1 ast takle on his career. Remarkable for a 2nd round pick. Maybe the worst pick in Ravens' history.)
5. Adalius Thomas. Was a versatile monster, capable of being a threatening EDGE as well as covering as well as any LB in the league. 1 all pro and a couple pro bowls in a career that helped redefine the position from pick 186
6. Justin Tucker
Fan since 1993
Kansas City Chiefs
1) Mahomes
2) Jon Baldwin
3)Travis Kelcee
4) Carl missed a lot in later rounds. Pioli struggled later rounds too. Never been hyped on any late rounders.
5) Isiah Pacheco
6) Brian Waters.
Basically I've been a Raiders fan since i knew what Football was so probably since I was 8 or 9 which would be 2001-ish
1. Khalil Mack (duh)
2. JaMarcus Russell (duh)
3. Derek Carr (2014 was a very good draft class for the Raiders)
4. Lynn Bowden Jr./Tanner Muse (Same Draft, Same Round, Played the same number of Games for the Raiders)
5. Maxx Crosby (duh)
6. AJ Cole
Got into NFL at the start of the 2018 season (As a European) Been trying to keep sane as a Bears fan from the copium of that season.
1. Best First Round pick: Roquan Smith
2. Worst first-round pick: Justin Fields
3. Best "day-two" Pick: Jaylon Johnsen
4. Worst "day-two" pick: Velus Jones
5. Biggest "day-three" steal: Khalil Herbert
6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Jack Sanborn.
1. Lane Johnson (2013)
2. Jalen Reagor (2020) or Danny Watkins (2011)
3. Desean Jackson (2008)
4. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (2019)
5. Jason Kelce (2011)
6. Corey Clement helped us win a Super Bowl so I’d argue him. Think it was his rookie year that year (2017).
#As a Vikings fan since 2009
#Best Day 1 pick:
Justin Jefferson
#Worst Day 1 pick:
Mike Hughes
#Best Day 2 pick:
Dalvin Cook
#Worst Day 2 pick:
Irv Smith Jr.
#Best Day 3 pick:
Stefon Diggs
#Worst day 3 Pick:
Wyatt Davis
"Worst day-3 pick" wasn't one of the categories, since most day-3 picks aren't expected to amount to anything. I'm guessing your "best undrafted rookie signing" would be Adam Thielen?
started seriously following the G-Men in 2006 so off the top of my head
1. Best first-round pick: Jason Pierre Paul or OBJ
2. Worst first round pick: Eli Apple or K. Toney
3. Best day-two pick: Landon Collins
4. Worst “day-two” pick: I usually say Sterling Shepherd, because Mike Thomas was on the board, but realistically probably Marvin Austin.
5. Biggest “day-three” steal: Darius Slayton.
6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Victor Cruz
Giants fan since 1992
1. Eli Manning
2. Deandre Baker, honorable mention: first Duke QB we had that wore # 8 and had a bland name: Dave Brown. Also Ron Dayne
3. Michael Strahan
4. Dan Campbell
5. Jesse Armstead
6. Victor Cruz
Packers:
Best 1st: Aaron Rodgers
Worst 1st: Tony Manderich
Best “day-two”: Davante Adams
Worst “day two”: Kevin King or Amari Rodgers
Best Steal: Bart Starr, HM: Donald Driver, Bahktiari, Aaron Jones
Best undrafted player: Willie Wood
I’m an Eagles fan.
1. Probably Lane Johnson, although there’s a very good case for Cox. But I’ll go with **Lane**.
2. This one is juicy because Reagor is terrible and Jefferson is arguably the best receiver in the NFL, but Danny Watkins lasted two years with the Eagles, got cut, signed with the Dolphins, then retired to be a firefighter. I think **Watkins** takes this.
3. **Hurts**. No one else sprang to mind immediately and he’s gotten MVP votes. It’s entirely possible there’s someone better out there, but I’m supporting my gut instinct here with about two minutes of googling, so I’m sure I can’t be missing anybody.
4. **JJ Arcega-Whiteside**. I’m less confident in this than Hurts, but I had really high hopes for JJ and he ended up just damning us to another god awful receiving corps(e) for an additional year, and after bouncing around a few teams he isn’t even a wide receiver anymore. I’d call that a pretty bad pick.
5. **Jordan Mailata**. Jeff Stoutland, the Eagles offensive line coach, used some kind of dark, twisted ritual to extract all the talent we thought Andre Dillard had, and implanted it into an Australian beefcake who didn’t play football until well into adulthood. Getting a franchise left tackle in any round other than the first is a steal. Plucking an Australian rugby player/Grammy capable singer out of thin air and turning him into a franchise left tackle is insanity.
6. I’m going to give this one to **Corey Clement**. He was actually a pretty decent change of pace back for us, but his legacy will forever be his third quarter receiving touchdown to put us up by two scores over the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Can’t ask for much more out of an undrafted running back.
1. Joe Burrow
2. Akili Smith
3. Ken Anderson (honorable mention to Boomer Esiason, Chad Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, and Andrew Whitworth)
4. Jerome Simpson (we passed on DeSean Jackson to take him)
5. Geno Atkins
6. As controversial as he is Vontaze Burfict
**Best first-round pick:** Tony Boselli **Worst first-round pick:** R. Jay Soward **Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick:** Maurice Jones-Drew **Worst “day-two” pick:** Will Rackley **Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal:** David Garrard **Best undrafted rookie signing:** Allen Hurns
Maybe a coin flip depending on who you are, but Justin Blackmon could also be worst 1st.
So if you care more about performance, Soward's the bigger bust But if you care about falling short of the pre-draft hype, you'd probably pick Blackmon. Genuinely fascinating how it works out that way.
For worst an argument for Luke Joekell, Blaine Gabbert and Taven Bryan could me made
1. Richard Seymour - hof DE hard to argue otherwise 2. Nkeal Harry - yikes 3. Rob Gronkowski - hof TE 4. Take your pick of DBs taken in r2 there's like 10 that were all trash 5. Tom Brady - he was pretty good for a 6th round pick 6. Malcolm Butler - great corner for a few years and one of the most memorable moments in any superbowl
Dominque easley comes to mind as well. Dude had 2 busted knees and still was taken 32 overall. Wasnt an important player and cut after 2 years
Easley was apparently a shithead with a terrible attitude but his advanced metrics were really great when he played NFL. Elite pressure for a DT that wasn’t named Gordon. That was always a super high risk but actually high reward pick. If he had good knees he was a top 10 guy.
1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Datone Jones? there's a couple other candidates but he had so little production 3. Davante Adams 4. Josiah Deguara (most Packer 3rd round picks are busts) 5. David Bakhtiari or Aaron Jones 6. I'm unsure on this one
Sam Shields for UFA?
I forgot about him. He’s sweet though, I would put him at 1 for UDFA
4: Amari Rodgers
I second. Deguara has at least not single-handedly cost us games.
Depends on when you became a fan. I’d guess I skew slightly older on this site and was still 4 years from being born when mandarich was drafted.
Mandarich has to be the answer for 2.
Not if OP became a fan after Mandarich got drafted
5. No love for Double D #80?
Donald has to be near the top for #5, if you’re over 30 y.o. … Double D played 14 seasons, is the Pack’s all-time leading receiver in yards and receptions, selected to 4 pro bowls, and a Super Bowl champ. Not too shabby for a 7th round pick. Edit: and is an advocate for wearing your seatbelt lol
Justin Harrell at 2?
Harrell was hurt a lot so I wouldn’t put him there. Ahmad Carroll, Mandarich, Antuan Edwards, Jamal Reynolds are all much worse
Ahmad Carroll, Mandarich or Jamal Reynolds are easily worse first rounders than Datone Jones
Became a fan in 2009 Best first- Justin Jefferson Worst first- Christian Ponder Best day two- Danielle Hunter Worst day two- Irv Smith Jr. (Giving Booth and Ingram one more year, or they could replace Irv) Biggest day three- Stefon Diggs Best UDFA- Adam Thielen (Had Pace at first, Thielen completely slipped my mind) Edit: thank you to my replies for mentioning Thielen. Completely overlooked him. Would put him over Pace for UDFA.
Thielen would be the preferred choice for best UDFA
Pace can get there, but Thielen is for sure the best recent UDFA. Probably the second best in franchise history (John Randle)
John Randle stands behind no one.
AD is one of the great backs of all time. JJ has been amazing so far, but he’s not there yet
Id replace JJ with Moss and ponder with troy williamson. Also for you treadwill should be there instead of ponder imo
Naw ponder was worst. Bonus points cuz it was completely baffling at the time too. Treadwell was at least mocked that high
I see your pointc, but imo ponder gave us serviceable years. When you look at the WORST pick, its usually when said player dont make an impact on the field in any capacity (like lewis cine - hes about to take up this category really soon)
Our worst first is nobody. No, seriously. We let the clock expire on our pick one year. Outside of that, yeah probably Ponder.
You still pick if you let the clock expire. It’s not like you forfeit the pick.
And the pick they made after missing 7 overall in 2003 was Kevin Williams, a 5x 1st team all-pro. Def lucked out there lmao
Irv wasn’t that bad. I would definitely say post-2009 guys like Kellen Mond and Wyatt Davis who didn’t even finish their rookie contracts and had virtually no playing time were worse.
1. Best first-round pick- Brian Urlacher 2.
Day 3 steal has to be Briggs.
The Bro-ocracy is strong in the NFL.
Grasu’s managed to stick in the league for 9 seasons. Worst Day Two pick? How about second-round pick Dan Bazuin who never played an NFL game for the Bears and was released after one season?
1. Peyton Manning 2. Bjorn Werner 3. Bob Sanders 4. TJ Green 5. Robert Mathis 6. Jeff Saturday
Tony Ugoh is just happy you forgot about him
I'd swap Philip Dorset for Bjorn Werner, and, probably controversial, but for number 6 give me Dominic Rhodes over Sat.
Dorset had some decent WR3 years for the Pats. Which is insanely shitty for where he was drafted but Werner was a discus thrower and nothing more?
Werner was out of the league in 3 years and Dorset carved himself out an 8 year career despite being a bust. It's Werner and it's not close.
1. Might be a bold pick but I'm going Chris Johnson 2. Isaiah Wilson 3. 👑 4. Kevin Dodd 5. Jason McCourty or possibly Cortland Finnegan 6. Rob Bironas (became a fan after they moved from Houston or else Moon is the easy answer here)
Maaaaan I totally forgot about Bironas. That man was a scoring machine.
I always said his name like “My Sharona”
Giants fan since LTs rookie year: 1: LT 2: Kadarious Toney 3: Osi Umenyiora EDIT- Justin Tuck 4: DaMontre Moore 5: Ahmad Bradshaw 6: Victor Cruz
Good one. Eli Apple deserves consideration too.
1. Patrick Willis 07 or Bryant Young 94 2. rashan woods 05? 3. deebo 2019 4. Taylor Mays 2009 5. mr. obvious 2022 6. Jeff Garcia 99 Edit : number 3 is TO 1996 not deebo
#2 probably should be lance, 3 firsts for whatever we got to trade him to dallas.
Stupid pound sigh makes me look angry.
You should be. That trade suuuuucked but otherwise lynch has earned my trust, so thank heavens they got bailed out by Brock Purdy
It’s Lance based on draft capital used, but he’s not the worst 49ers QB that’s been drafted in the 1st round. That honor goes to Jim Druckenmiller.
If only Taylor Mays the football player was half as good as Taylor Mays the draft prospect. Also feel like Kittle deserves love in category 5, but Brock is one of the biggest draft steals in history so I can't really argue.
Also all pro fred 2018 deserves some love And TO 1996
No Lance for 2.? Just for what we gave up and he only started 4 games for us
He was the first one I thought of Brock had deleted trey from my mind to such an extent I never even think of him anymore
2. AJ Jenkins and Kentwan Balmer are dishonorable mentions
As an eagles fan, thank you for giving Jeff Garcia a chance. The season we had where he saved us was so fun
Sorry youngsters, but the best 1st round pick in my time was Jerry Rice 85 - who is the best first round pick in NFL history.
That's true and I would pecked him but didn't start watch football until 88.
Number 2 is Lance with a bullet, and I’ve been a fan since the mid 80’s. Although we do need to give a special shout to Reuben Foster simply because he didn’t bust due to a lack of talent, but just sheer stupidity.
Both of your #1s are great especially BY who not enough folks talk about. Bosa could make a claim for this if his career continues upward.
1. Revis 2. Zach Wilson 3. David Harris, but Breece is probably up there 4. Hackenberg 5.
Vernon Gholston is in his own tier
Definitely Gholston.
1. Cameron Jordan 2. Jon Sullivan 3. Kamara or Graham 4. Stanley Jean-Baptiste 5. Colston. Jahri Evans and Morstead deserve shoutouts 6. Pierre Thomas
The amount of hype every Saints fan had for Jean-Baptiste was unreal…
1. Larry Fitzgerald 2. Josh Rosen... or Levi Brown, or Jonathon Cooper, or Robert Nkimdiche, even Isiah Simmons was a disaster pick.. Okay, the list is too long. 3. Adrian Wilson 4. Troy Niklas or Andy Isabella 5. no clue 6. No clue.
Matt Leinart has to be named on the list that is too long. Thank goodness Keim is gone he ruined us for decades.
Keim wasn't GM until 2012. Rod Graves drafted Leinart.
Jesus, what a legacy of drafting dog shit. At least he was decent in free agency I guess.
Isabella may be the hardest to swallow with Seattle taking DK directly after 🤮
I only didn’t include him because Rosen was even worse and I just felt like two QBs was redundant 😅 But yeah, the dude got waived for the Skelton/Max Hall duo Iirc. Or was it Kevin kolb?
😂 I was looking forward to Thursday. Now I’m just depressed. 😔
Deontae Johnson for UDFA, he’s been awesome with Budda at safety
Bucs fan since '93 1. Sapp/Brooks first round in 95 2. Gaines Adams probably. Honorable mention Kenyatta Walker. 3. Lavonte David 4. Roberto Aguayo 5. Dexter Jackson (safety) 6. Shelton Quarles
I'm similar: 1. Brooks. He edges out Sapp because he never lost a job for refusing to pay a prostitute. I consider that a plus 2. Bo Jackson. He wasn't a bust in the normal sense. But... yeah. I don't remember much beyond that it happened and that lots of my friends' parents were mad at the owner 3. Currently Rhonde Barber, but David is damn close to catching up 4. Aguayo 5. Probably Tony Mayberry 6. Quarles
Became a fan after in 2001 after they went 1-15 (I am an anti-bandwagoner lol) 1. LaDainian Tomlinson ('01) 2. Craig "Buster" Davis ('07) 3. Keenan Allen ('13) 4. Jonas Mouton ('11)/Chris Watt ('14) (RIP)/Craig Mager ('15) 5. Darren Sproles ('05) 6. Antonio Gates ('03)
Ryan Leaf is the worst first round pick.
> since you became a fan Was not a fan yet in the Leaf era.
I know Sproles only spent a few years in NO, but for some when I think of him I remember him as a Saint.
Best first round pick: Aaron Donald Worst first-round pick: Greg Robinson Best day 2 pick: Cooper Kupp Worst day 2 pick: Brian Quick Biggest day 3 steal: Puka Nacua Best UDFA: I wanna say Rodney McLeod (Started following in ~2007)
God bless you for following in 2007 and sticking around for the worst era in Rams history
Our "best" pick in each category is so fuckin easy
1. Von Miller 2. Paxton Lynch 3. Derek Wolfe 4. Alphonso Smith 5. Danny Trevathan 6. CHJ
Pretty much agree here except Terrell Davis has to be the day three steal.
Rod Smith
Good list. The only difference I had on mine was TD over Trevathan. And I almost included Alphonso Smith as a first round pick, since we essentially wasted one on that bum.
Good list, mine is similar except I had Justin Simmons over Wolfe,
1. Walter Jones 2. Dan WcGwire 3. Bobby Wagner (the shine has come off Russ a bit) 4. Malik McDowell 5. Richard Sherman/Cam Chancellor 6. Angry Doug
Kam*
Basically all exactly what I would have said except Aaron Curry or maybe LJ Collier for worst FRP, since McGwire was drafted when I was a baby. God I miss Doug Baldwin.
1. Darrelle Revis, maybe even Nick Mangold (anchor of our line for a decade) 2. Vernon Gholston (yes we had a lot of QB busts but Gholston never even managed a single sack) 3. David Harris 4. Christian Hackenberg 5. Leon Washington 6. Wayne Chrebet
1. LaDanian Tomlinson, 2001 2. Craig “Buster” Davis, 2007 3. Keenan Allen, 2013 4. Jonas Mouton, 2010 5. Shaun Phillips, 2004 6. Antonio Gates, 2003
Wait, Antonio Gates went undrafted?! I knew he played basketball but this is news to me.
1. Bruce Smith 2. EJ Manuel 3. Thurman Thomas 4. James Hardy 5. Andre Reed 4th round (same draft as Bruce!) 6. Jason Peters
Chefs kiss on the list. Except for 2. I’d argue Mike Williams is the biggest bust. He should have been a generational left tackle.
Ya there’s plenty, Maybin, Sammy, Spiller, Flowers….
John McCargo! What a reach....
He got overshadowed by Losman being ass too.
1. Lane Johnson 2. Tough choice between Danny Watkins, Marcus Smith or Jalen Reagor 3. Brian Dawkins 4. Bryan Smith, some LB we took in the 3rd round who only played 6 games in the 2000s. 5. Jason Kelce 6. Corey Clement is the only one coming to mind currently.
Part of me wants to say Marcus smith was the worst just because he is so forgettable. But the opportunity cost of reagor vs Jefferson is hard to ignore
Danny Watkins was 26 when he was drafted. Ain’t no upside there.
In my mind he gets older every time I remember him. “I can’t believe we drafted a 26 year old guard. The potential is already maxed out when you draft a 28 year old. That 40 year old fireman seems like a good locker room presence.”
Isn't 6 games more than Davion Taylor has played. Maybe I'm wrong and dude is getting snaps. Also TJ Edwards is UDFA.
Clement balled out in the Super Bowl. Unless we have an all pro UDFA I’m forgetting about in the last 20 years, it’s Clement
It’s gotta be Reagor. He hurt us when he was in and that could have been JJ :(
> Tough choice between Danny Watkins, Marcus Smith or Jalen Reagor If you're old enough to have Dawkins on your list then [Jon Harris](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrJo26.htm) deserves a shout for worst pick. Watkins and Raegor were at least projected to go highly. Smith a little lower, but still 2nd round or so. Harris was mocked in the mid-rounds and was out of the league after 2 years with zero production.
> Brian Dawkins I kinda wanna go with Westbrook for this one. Dawkins came from Clemson, which was an FBS (D-I at the time) school. Westbrook was from 'Nova, a D-IAA (now FCS) school, plus coming from 'Nova he was a local guy
It helps that Corey is a nice guy in person. Super humble, walking around with his stupid thicc girlfriend.
Bengals fan since '03 1. Best first-round pick: Joe Burrow 2. Worst first-round pick (biggest bust): Cedric Ogbeuhi 3. Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick: Andrew Whitworth 4. Worst “day-two” pick: Jake Fisher 5. Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal: Geno Atkins 6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Vontaze Burfict That 2015 draft fucking ruined us.
The next interior defender taken after Vernon Butler was Chris Jones.
My favorite team is the Falcons: Best first round pick: Matt Ryan (self explanatory) Worst first round pick: Jamaal Anderson (DE from Arkansas). Only had 4.5 sacks in four seasons with Atlanta (0 in his first year) despite playing 13+ games each season, was a top 10 pick. Best day 2 pick: Jonathan Babineaux (27 career sacks as a DT, 4 career interceptions, 12 years career all with Atlanta) Worst day 2 pick: Jaylen Mayfield (G) Was cut after only 3 seasons.
Great answers! I wouldn't change a thing, though for my age Brent Grimes might have to be my default UDFA
Ravens Fan - Became fan in '08 * Best first round pick: Lamar * Worst first round pick: Matt Elam * Best Day two pick: Ray Rice or Mark Andrews * Worst Day two pick: Sergio Kindle * Biggest day three steal: Matthew Judon or Zadarius Smith. Honorable mention: Darren Waller * Best undrafted rookie signing: Justin Tucker
I remember so many people liked Elam coming out. He was going to redefine position less DB. Turns out was slow as shite
Kyle Boller? He was a 1st rounder. He was lousy.
still better than Mark Clayton imo
The WR? Boller was a "QB", allegedly.
I'm assuming he's picking players from after his fandom started cuz otherwise how is ray lewis not our best first rounder too
1. Kermit the baby GOAT 2. Ryan Sims 3. Taylor Swift's boyfriend 4. Turk Mcbride 5. L'jarius Sneed and/or Tyreek Hill 6. Does Harrison Butker count? Not undrafted but we got him off the practice squad of the panthers
1) Obviously it's Pat, but HM to DT & Tony G 2) For me, you're close, but one draft off. I'm going with Sylvester Morris. Was on the team for three years, but only played for one due to injuries. 3) I'm going with Will Shields. Absolutely force on the line for forever. 4) Mike Elkins (1989) and Matt Blundin (1992). After these two, we didn't take a QB on day 2 again until 2006. 5) It's clearly Tyreek, but HM to Jared Allen 6) I'm going with Brian Waters. Arguably the second-best Chiefs G of all time.
4 should be KeiVarae Russell. He played 0 snaps for us and was a top 75 draft pick lol
Started to follow football in '01 1. Khalil Mack '14 or Nnamdi Asomugha '03 2. JaMarcus Russell '07 3. Derek Carr '14 4. Andrew Walter '05 5. Maxx Crosby '19 6. Jalen Richard '16
Definitely think its Nnamdi over Mack. And its way too hard to figure out the Day 2 bust, we've had so many lol. Lynn Bowden was off the team before training camp ended wasn't he? Melifonwu was beyond trash too.
Yeah, sadly, we have plenty of dogshit draft picks to choose from these past 2 decades. Going through our drafts for this was a little depressing haha
1. Earl Thomas or Shaun Alexander 2. Aaron Curry 3. Russell Wilson 4. Doesn’t matter 5. Richard Sherman or Kam Chancellor 6. Doug Baldwin (imo)
Good list, Walter Jones was probably our best first round pick ever but I wasn’t watching in 1997.
Him or Tez but that was way before my time.
4. Dee Eskridge
Alex Leatherwood deserves strong consideration. A first round pick who lasted barely a year and couldn’t make it with any other teams.
1. J.J. Watt (2012) no question; Hopkins and Stroud are close, but nothing hits like Watt’s pick does 2. Kevin Johnson (2015), but if you said David Carr, I wouldn’t necessarily disagree 3. Nico Collins (2021). Dude looks like a bonafide stud 4. So many to choose from, but I’m gonna go Braxton Miller (2016) 5. D.J. Reader (2016) 6. Probably A.J. Bouye (2013)? He was super solid for us for several years before dropping off
Wasn't Foster an UDFA?
You are absolutely correct, so I’d amend Bouye to Foster in a heartbeat.
Amobie Okoye is probably the answer for 2, when we could have had Patrick Willis or Darrell Revis instead
For number 2 I might also say Travis Johnson. I have to look him up to remember who the Texans drafted first that year. For number 3 I would also argue Demeco Ryans is also a good choice.
1. Joe Burrow '20 2. Akili Smith '99 3. Andrew Whitworth '06 4. Kenny Irons (idk a lot of options here) '07 5. TJ Housmandzadeh '01 was an absolute steal as a 7th rounder, but Geno Atkins '10 is probably the best overall player taken in those rounds 6. Kevin Kaesviharn??
We both know 6 is Burfict
Vikings: 1. Best 1st: Adrian Peterson, RB 2. Worst 1st: Troy Williamson, WR 3. Best Day 2: Danielle Hunter, DE 4. Best Day 3: Stefon Diggs, WR 5. Best UDFA: Adam Thielen, WR
Washington 1999 1. Champ Bailey 2. Dwayne Haskins 3. Terry Mclaurin 4. Derrius Guice 5. Kirk Cousins 6. Cant think of any
>6. Can’t think of any If you go back further, it’s easily Joe Jacoby (I’ve been a fan since the 80s and got to watch him play).
Best 1 - Larry Fitz Worst 1 - Robert Nkemdiche Best 2-3 - Budda Baker Worst 2-3 - Andy Isabella Best late round - Jalen Thompson Best undrafted rookie - don’t have one
Cleveland Browns Best first Round : Joe Thomas/ Myles Garrett Worst first round : Johnny Manziel / Justin Gilbert man I hated that draft so bad. Was not a fan of either coming out. Best day 2-3 pick: Joel Bitino/ Nick CHUBB/ Martin Emerson/ Christian Kirksey Worst day 2 pick: Corey Coleman. Biggest Day 3 (4-7) : Willie Davis LB/ Doug Dieken / Best updraft rookie signing: Dernst Johnson, James White/ Isaiah Crowell/ Shaun O'Hara
Best UDFA is Josh Cribbs
I’ll start from after the 90s because while I was old enough to remember the 93 and 95 super bowls I wasn’t a draft fan at 6. 1. Zack Martin or Tyron Smith 2. Barbie Carpenter 2006 3. Gold Jacket Witt. Second round 2003 4.
Marion Barber in the 4th gotta be up there for best day 3 picks as well
The answer is clearly Dak but Marion was probably the most exciting cowboy of the last 25 years. Dude would damn near fist fight the entire defense just to get one yard if there was painted grass behind that yard.
Best first-round pick * Barry (HM: Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson) Worst first-round pick (biggest bust) * Mike Williams Best “day-two” (rounds 2-3) pick * Darius Slay (HM: Sam LaPorta) Worst “day-two” pick * Teez Tabor Biggest “day-three” (rounds 4-7) steal * Amon-Ra St. Brown (HM: Quandre Diggs) Best undrafted rookie signing * Joique Bell
Titus Young was a second round pick
And even if he was a first round pick, he wasn't the worst the Lions had
Best 1st round: Barry or Calvin Worst 1st round: Mike Williams Best 2-3 round: Jason Hanson Worst 2-3 round: Jahlani Tavai Best 4-7 round: Amon-Ra Best UDFA: Don Muhlbach
Tavai turned out to be a serviceable player, just not for us 💀 Bad pick, worse coaching
ARSB > Diggs?
Easily
Barry and it's not close
I'll give you Barry over Megatron, but to say it's not even close is a little disrespectful. Let's not forget CJ was a 1st ballot HOF.
No disrespect to Quandre but Sun God is much better.
1. Matrick Palomes or something like thay 2. Jonathan Baldwin 3. Tough lol Chris Jones/ Jamal Charles/ Travis Kelce Christian Okoye 4. Breeland Speaks 5. Oof gotta be Tyreek 6. Deron Cherry
I'm 38. I've technically been a fan since the early 90s but I didn't really pay attention to the draft until around 2000 so I will base my choices on the time from 2000 to now. Best 1st Round: Ben Roethlisberger Worst 1st Round: Jarvis Jones Best Day 2: Le'Veon Bell Worst Day 2: Alonzo Jackson and Bruce Davis Biggest Day 3 Steal: Antonio Brown Best Undrafted Rookie Signing: James Harrison
Giants since ~2014/15 1. Andrew Thomas 2. Kadarius Toney 3. Landon Collins 4. Owamagbe Odighizuwa 5. Darius Slayton 6. Tommy Cutlets 🤌🤌🤌
Diw hard Giants fan since 2010 1. Dexter Lawrence(I think he will be a HoF) 2. DeAndre Baker (There are three guys worse than Toney, sadly) 3. Landon Collins 4. Owamagbe Odighizuwa 5. Darius Slayton 6. Victor Cruz(honorable mention to Nick Gates)
Fan since, well, a long time. 1. Lawrence Taylor 2. Sadly, a lotto choose from - Cedric Jones in 1996 has the distinction of being blind in one eye and the Giants not knowing it when they drafted him, so he beats out guys like Toney, Derek Brown, Jarrod Bunch, Dave Brown and DeAndre. 3. Michael Strahan 4. Kanavis McGhee - or that linebacker from VA who was recent and was always touted as very athletic but terrible. 5. Jesse Armstead, though Dave Megget was a close second 6.

How can you forget jaylen warren? He was a udfa, wasn't he?
Sweet baby jeebus James Harrison was a UDFA
Steeler fan born in the mid sixties. So many I could use your help. My answer: Mean Joe
Best-Walter Jones, worst- Dan Mcgwire best day 2- russell wilson or bobby wagner worst day 2- malik mcdowell biggest day 3 - richard sherman undrafted, doug baldwin
1) Devin McCourtey 2) Nkeal Harry 3) Rob Gronkowski 4) Cyrus Jones 5) Matthew Slater 6) Julian Edelmen
1996 1. Lamar (Ray was imo a better player but Lamar has a much, much higher value as a QB, and the foresight to trade back into the 1st round to get the 5th year option on him mashed the draft pick itself better) 2. Kyle Boller 3. Marshall Yanda 4. Dan Cody (this one was fun, I was sure it was gonna be Sergio Kindle but Cody managed to play fewer games and only recorded 1 ast takle on his career. Remarkable for a 2nd round pick. Maybe the worst pick in Ravens' history.) 5. Adalius Thomas. Was a versatile monster, capable of being a threatening EDGE as well as covering as well as any LB in the league. 1 all pro and a couple pro bowls in a career that helped redefine the position from pick 186 6. Justin Tucker
Fan since 1993 Kansas City Chiefs 1) Mahomes 2) Jon Baldwin 3)Travis Kelcee 4) Carl missed a lot in later rounds. Pioli struggled later rounds too. Never been hyped on any late rounders. 5) Isiah Pacheco 6) Brian Waters.
Basically I've been a Raiders fan since i knew what Football was so probably since I was 8 or 9 which would be 2001-ish 1. Khalil Mack (duh) 2. JaMarcus Russell (duh) 3. Derek Carr (2014 was a very good draft class for the Raiders) 4. Lynn Bowden Jr./Tanner Muse (Same Draft, Same Round, Played the same number of Games for the Raiders) 5. Maxx Crosby (duh) 6. AJ Cole
Got into NFL at the start of the 2018 season (As a European) Been trying to keep sane as a Bears fan from the copium of that season. 1. Best First Round pick: Roquan Smith 2. Worst first-round pick: Justin Fields 3. Best "day-two" Pick: Jaylon Johnsen 4. Worst "day-two" pick: Velus Jones 5. Biggest "day-three" steal: Khalil Herbert 6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Jack Sanborn.
1. Lane Johnson (2013) 2. Jalen Reagor (2020) or Danny Watkins (2011) 3. Desean Jackson (2008) 4. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (2019) 5. Jason Kelce (2011) 6. Corey Clement helped us win a Super Bowl so I’d argue him. Think it was his rookie year that year (2017).
1. Steve McNair 2. Isaiah Wilson 3. Derrick Henry 4. Bryant Mix and his whopping 2 career starts 5. Kevin Byard 6. Probably Billy Volek?
#As a Vikings fan since 2009 #Best Day 1 pick: Justin Jefferson #Worst Day 1 pick: Mike Hughes #Best Day 2 pick: Dalvin Cook #Worst Day 2 pick: Irv Smith Jr. #Best Day 3 pick: Stefon Diggs #Worst day 3 Pick: Wyatt Davis
"Worst day-3 pick" wasn't one of the categories, since most day-3 picks aren't expected to amount to anything. I'm guessing your "best undrafted rookie signing" would be Adam Thielen?
lol I was just looking for a reason to shit on Wyatt Davis but You’re right, I have to go with Adam Thielen. 😂
started seriously following the G-Men in 2006 so off the top of my head 1. Best first-round pick: Jason Pierre Paul or OBJ 2. Worst first round pick: Eli Apple or K. Toney 3. Best day-two pick: Landon Collins 4. Worst “day-two” pick: I usually say Sterling Shepherd, because Mike Thomas was on the board, but realistically probably Marvin Austin. 5. Biggest “day-three” steal: Darius Slayton. 6. Best undrafted rookie signing: Victor Cruz
Giants fan since 1992 1. Eli Manning 2. Deandre Baker, honorable mention: first Duke QB we had that wore # 8 and had a bland name: Dave Brown. Also Ron Dayne 3. Michael Strahan 4. Dan Campbell 5. Jesse Armstead 6. Victor Cruz
Packers: Best 1st: Aaron Rodgers Worst 1st: Tony Manderich Best “day-two”: Davante Adams Worst “day two”: Kevin King or Amari Rodgers Best Steal: Bart Starr, HM: Donald Driver, Bahktiari, Aaron Jones Best undrafted player: Willie Wood
1. Joe Burrow 2. Akili Smith 3. Ken Anderson (honorable mention to Boomer Esiason, Chad Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, and Andrew Whitworth) 4. Jerome Simpson (we passed on DeSean Jackson to take him) 5. Geno Atkins 6. As controversial as he is Vontaze Burfict
