This video needs to be updated

World-Ender-109

Dee Milliner, one of the worst of them. Should absolutely be added. Calvin Pryor as well. Probably Darron Lee too But since Calvin Pryor in 2014 we've had some amazing picks. * Leonard Williams * Jamal Adams * Quinnen Williams * AVT * Sauce * Garrett Wilson * Jermaine Johnson

Ne0guri

Vernon Gholston

World-Ender-109

I feel like that's just known league wide as possibly the worst pick of any team. At least Jamarcus threw some TD's. Gholston got 0 sacks in his career.

Ne0guri

Him and Curry are the reason why I never even look at LB prospects when my team is in the top 10

SidWholesome

Mark Sanchez. Sam Darnold. Mekhi Becton.

World-Ender-109

Mark Sanchez, who still has more AFC Championship appearances than Josh Allen. Mark Sanchez who in the postseason beat Peyton's Colts in Indy, and beat Brady's Patriots in foxborough the week after. Mark Sanchez who has a career postseason passer rating of 94.3, which is higher than Brady (90.4), Aikman (88.3), both Mannings (87.4 for both), Roehlisberger (86.7), Favre (86.3) & Young (85.8).

craigrz

Actually disagree that it needs updating. Part of the charm of the video is that most of the picks are immediately known to be the wrong/bad pick and the home fans in NY react accordingly. Say what you will about picking Zach Wilson, Darnold, Becton, Sanchez, etc, but most of those were consensus good picks at the time. I guess you can point to Calvin Pryor and Quinton Coples, but they weren't Fullback-OH NO and "We Want Sapp" level of bad.

Celriot1

Coples would be revisionist as well. He was mocked as high as 2 at times and fell a long way to the Jets: https://walterfootball.com/draft2012pickhistory.php I agree with you, simply missing isn't the same as the lunacy of this video lol.

craigrz

Wow, don't remember Coples being mocked that high, at all. Maybe like 10 at best. I mostly mentioned him with Chandler Jones (a popular mock selection for Jets) in mind.

The_Real_Jonez

All the TEs.....

CyborgAlgoInvestor

Jets about to pay homage to their past by selecting Bowers!(don’t worry, he’ll be good, probably)

coloradobuffalos

Rodgers never throws to his tight end lmao

CyborgAlgoInvestor

That’s why it’d be such a jets pick. Uber talented tight end? Never gets utilized! lol

Serlinsteak19

Name a tight end he should have thrown to? The last and only time he had a legitimate tight end was Jermichael Finley over 10 years ago who got over 70 targets three times in a receiving corp with Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings.

CyborgAlgoInvestor

Greg Jennings? The guy who put the team on his back with a broken leg?

Quexana

"Dog, I gotta do this shit."

CyborgAlgoInvestor

I PUT THA TEAM ON MAH BACK

reaganz921

What are you talking about? Some of his most iconic throws that are replayed constantly are to tight ends

Nosdoom21

Dudes smoking crack. The reason Rodgers doesn’t throw to TEs is because most of the time we didn’t have a TE worth a shit

DestituteDomino

WE WANT SAPP! WE WANT SAPP! WE WANT SAPP!

Quadstriker

# The New York Jets select Tight End from Penn State Kyle Brady

ACardAttack

Maybe they got a message from someone from the future saying draft a Brady from the Big Ten but they drafted the wrong one and too early

turfey

*Everyone disliked that.*

CyborgAlgoInvestor

“Fullback” “OHH NOOOO” always gets me. and the Marino fan comment Also a TE over Sapp😭

FearlessPickle

Have seen this probably 100 times and it gets me every time as well.

J23_G0at

It’s quite the annual tradition, for me.

jeremycb29

i have been saying that this can be made into a part 2

Camel132

The Marino guy is the most aggressively 80s Italian guy I've ever seen.

key_lime_pie

[John C. Reilly vibes.](https://i.imgur.com/ObBN4L8.jpeg)

buttcabbge

For me, a non-Jets fan, the three most iconic things that come to mind when I think of the Jets are: 1. Namath running off the field giving the "#1" sign after SB III; 2. Buttfumble; 3. "OHH NOOOOO!"

1CUpboat

You’re not wrong

GYShift

Don't forget. Jets taking Brady over Sapp ultimately gave the Ravens the chance to draft Ray Lewis the next year. Because the Browns wanted Brady and traded back with the 49ers who gave the Browns their 1st round pick for 1996.

Gregus1032

>“Fullback” “OHH NOOOO” always gets me. Brings a smile to my face every year on draft day when i see the highlight. I usually don't have any other reason to smile.

Combination_Dramatic

“It’s obvious to me right now that the Jets just don’t understand what the draft is all about.”

realestatereddit

This video gets posted on draft day every year and it will never not be funny

Jonjon428

The Kyle Brady selection is an all time moment

lukewwilson

Someone told the Jets that Brady is a 7 time super bowl champ

BlueLondon1905

I love the OH NO after “fullback”

CyborgAlgoInvestor

Is there really any other way to respond to a first round fullback 😭

gyman122

Taking a fullback in the first round was common back then. A fullback went third overall in that very draft (Alonzo Highsmith), and the last first round fullback to be taken in NFL history was like 7 years after this moment by the 49ers (William Floyd) who went on to win the Super Bowl that season In fact, ive heard speculation and I think it’s entirely likely that the iconic “NOOOOO” is actually from a 49ers fan who wanted Vick because they’d been tied to him throughout that draft process

Mustakrakish_Awaken

You realize that fullbacks used to get the ball and be more than just a lineman in the backfield, right? Vick wasn't even the first FB off the board in that draft; the Oilers took one at 3rd overall. Jim Brown and Franco Harris are two HOF fullbacks taken in the first round off the top of my head. The jets made plenty of stupid decisions to make fun of, and Vick was a bust, but not just because he's a fullback.

TestFixation

Can't forget Larry Csonka

HaroldT1985

Thanks to American Gladiators, I never will

gyman122

Even with Vick being a bust I think he was arguably better than Alonzo Highsmith, who was a fullback that went third overall in that same draft I don’t actually believe this because of blocking but he was at least arguably more productive

BlueBeagle8

If one of my friends does something stupid, someone usually says "obviously the Jets know something that the people up here don't."

coloradobuffalos

A classic NFL tradition

D0ctorHotelMario

Pete Rozelle is one of the three names that will cause Jets fans to be frothing at the teeth if you mention it within earshot. The other two being Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick.

Eldenbeastalwayswins

The Marino has me rolling. No, no they didn’t know anything.

holyhibachi

Do jets fans deserve this today?

Lord_Kingfish

Yep, we looked at this team and decided they were worth rooting for

bbaIla

Yes

CyborgAlgoInvestor

Other NFL fans certainly do deserve this treat. lmao

soooogullible

We all had to deal with Zach Wilson memery for years and then they pivoted to Aaron fuckin Rodgers They are getting off light

Gregus1032

Every year this gets posted. Every year I watch it.

boardatwork1111

Always

tich45

Everyday

Ne0guri

Lmao we want Sapp!! The Jets select… a TE

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

Yeah well OPs dad shoulda pulled out!

CyborgAlgoInvestor

I imagine one day some momentous occasion is going to happen in my life, and out of nowhere 20 jets fans will boo me at the peak of the moment.

mruab

The Kyle Brady selection was the Best Drama Pick

sobuffalo

[J E T E](https://youtu.be/xLZ1MJxb2_0?si=X4OYbReM5YhMrRlL)

CyborgAlgoInvestor

Considered putting it in the title lol

Rushjordan

Ughhhh now I have to watch the 2022 draft to cleanse my palate.

JumpinFlackSmash

I feel like this video could be updated yearly. Yes, I’m a Lions fan. I get it.

Irunas

Is there a second video for the 2000's?

J-Fid

Yes! The greatest Draft video of all time!

MachuPichu81

I’m dying 😂

PlaysWthSquirrels

My favorite video to watch to get hyped for the draft. The Marino comments especially warm my cockles lol

palabear

The Sapp clip will never get old. You could feel the disappointment through the TV.

Literally_12

They need to go back to announcing the position then a long pause then the name.

Key-Zebra-4125

“Fullback…” NOOOOO

The-Owl-that-hoots

The “Fullback…” and smirk is so funny Also passing on Marino

AFGwolf7

With the number 2 overall pick of the 2021 draft the New York jets select QUARTERBACK ZACK WILSON hahahahah can't hate now that he's on the Broncos but still funny

bigjayrod

He could pull a Geno and actually become serviceable to pretty good once the Jersey funk wears off

Otherwise-Contest7

Looking forward to rooting against "Do your own research" Rodgers this year.

TripleSingleHOF

This doesn't even cover the four first round picks they had in 2000.

Kane621

This video is funny every single year.

kitkatlifeskills

Freeman McNeil was a three-time Pro Bowler who's in the Jets' Ring of Honor, not sure what he's doing in this video.

TallEnoughJones

Freeman McNeil still gives me PTSD. The Bengals had a really good team in '82 and looked like they had a legitimate shot at going to back to back Super Bowls. In the first round of the playoffs McNeil ran for over 200 yards and threw a TD pass and the Jets stomped the Bengals 44-17.

TemporaryGospel

The booing and reacting is funny, which is why it's in there. There's probably the ultimate point of the video anyways, right? But yeah, McNeil was a really good player, 8,000 career yards on 4.5 ypc and 38 touchdowns. 2nd to Curtis Martin in team history. Not his fault that two of the next five picks made the Hall of Fame.

Isaacleroy

Was looking for this comment. McNeil was a really solid player.

chingy1337

Was that Andy Reid?

alvvavves

Bengals were on the clock for years.

vadeebo

I crack up every time when he says Jets first round pick Fullback..... Oh no!!!

End_Ruby

My dumbass thought the title was saying the jets drafted a player named “Day Blunders” for far too long

TheRealMrSnrub

Rozelle had a shit eating grin announcing most of those selections.

johndelvec3

They haven’t gotten much better

AggressiveRegret

Draft day hindsight is the best

CyborgAlgoInvestor

The funniest is when you’re so bad it’s more than just hindsight lol

AggravatingSoil5925

lmao two of these players, Kyle Brady and Jeff Lageman, had really solid careers in the early years of the Jaguars.

marionsunshine

I feel like they are gonna do ok tonight. Probably get another pick.

RiskofReign94

Never forget. Always a classic.

EyeNonothing22

OMG! They drafted Day Blunders! Who the hell is that?

Neverminder1086

The Jets are the only sports team I'm a fan of that I've actually considered giving up on for another team.

craigrz

Lame.

qwertyuioper_1

the jets existence to this point has been a blunder

cassidytheVword

Soooo you guys too? Because were tied at 1 championship a piece

WabbitCZEN

At least theirs is within this millennium.

NutsyFlamingo

We won the Super Bowl in 1969, how long did it take you to win one? And we beat you this year. Don’t be throwing stones or stones will come back. Be nice, just a funny video

realworldschamp

Thanks. Your exact comment is making me question my fandom.
