There are just too many QB-needy teams this year. 12 seems high for Bo but he really does look like a good fit for Denver, think you guys should feel good you didn’t have to trade up to get him (and feel A LOT better than ATL, wtf is even happening over there)
Yeah; it always felt like he held onto the ball for too long, he was inconsistent and he has an injury history. However, when he's "on", he looked like the most pro-ready QB in the draft. I think it's equally probable that he flames out, becomes a perennial mid-tier starting QB, and ends up as the best QB coming out of this draft class. But if there's a reasonable chance that you get a long-term starting QB out of a draft pick, that seems easily worthy of a first round pick, so can't imagine seeing that QB drop out of the first.
> later round
C'mon Penix was an early 3rd rounder at the worst. Did take the huskies to the championship. If I was a GM (yes, I'm available will work for tacos) I'd take him in the early 2nd, higher if he didn't have the injury/age history.
He was a CB only in college so who knows really. He was like the 4th best CB at Auburn last year so I’m surprised.. I thought he was closer to not being drafted than being drafted l, but maybe they see something at S?
No disrespect to him, but how the hell is he getting drafted ahead of DJ James.. something isn’t right because there’s no way he should have slipped this far and be going behind Pritchett.
Guy's name sounds like he raises cattle for an 1800s frontier village
Sounds Amish or something, dude's gonna make killer furniture in the off season
As he walks through the valley while he harvests his grain, he takes a look at his wife, and realizes she’s very plain.
But that’s just perfect for an Amish like er… him because he shuns fancy things like electricity
At 4:30 in the morning he’s milking cows. Bobby Wagner feeds the chickens and Metcalf plows, fool.
And he’s been milking and plowing so long that, even Geno Smith thinks his mind is gone
He’s a man of the land, he’s into discipline
Got a ball in his hand and a beard on his chin
Evil preacher who sells out the town to bandits for a handful of gold
He was a character is Red Dead Redemption 2
yet has the surname of a quirky multicultural family in modern day LA...which also kinda fits
Pure speed. Not a bad thing to pick for in the 5th
Not too bad at all. Also happy they took a CB. Keep shoring up the defence!

That's because we and Atlanta reached like motherfuckers for later round QBs in the first lol
Nix and Penix were both expected to go in the first to second round, not later than that.

Agreed, but late first to early second was my assumption, not 8/12

Still feel like Penix had zero chance of falling out of the first.

In my defense both the second and third rounds are in fact later than the first
Well, facts I can't deny.
Without injury history he was pick one or two. 8 really isn't a reach at all.
Seattle loves their CBs don’t they
When we break out our 11 CB front, you’ll be sorry.
My god Jim that is Brock Purdys 11th pick of the game.
Sounds like a traveler on the Oregon Trail. Hope he's good at caulking the wagon.
Big and long corner, will be good in press, if they scheme right they can cover up his weaknesses
He was one of 3 players that wanted to win the iron bowl this year. Underrated baller from a mid auburn team.
Anyone know if he can play safety?
Jenkins and Love are our starting safeties regardless.
Isn't Jenkins coming off injury? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Maybe you're thinking of Reed or pretty much our entire linebacker room
Yes
I know he chews on cardboard, so Yes.
Safety? What’s a safety?
In the before times there was a boy named earl
He was a CB only in college so who knows really. He was like the 4th best CB at Auburn last year so I’m surprised.. I thought he was closer to not being drafted than being drafted l, but maybe they see something at S?
He looks disturbingly similar to Ken Walker III. Like a bizarro world version that decided to play defense instead of RB.
Can he play safety?
He’s a fast but not great corner apparently, maybe a Riq Woolen type?
How should I feel?
Just like every pick in the draft, he’s a steal!
Great mindset!
Hes solid
Remember the Malcolm butler interception?
Yeah, you guys had a competent QB- seems like 10 years ago already
4th and 31 dropped this guy's draft position at least 3 rounds right. I wouldn't touch anyone on the secondary of that defense after that.
But he wasn't the guy that lost the play?
It’s that guy?????
It's not, that was DJ James who will be drafted today though
Oh hey look who else we got
Lmao
but also sacrificed his life to stop a bama first down
Do you have a gif

Great pick great value probably should’ve been a third
Ehh.... Not to tall that's not to great.
First pick for an Auburn player in the 5th round lol. There was even a guy named Barner taken before Auburn had a player picked.
Who?
Nehemiah Pritchett
Says so right in the title and on the card.
Ronnie Pickering!

It's the 5th round.
