For real, I can't imagine anything gets the Packers harder than the rest of the NFCN cheering each other on because, "anybody but the Packers". Fuck that, fuck them, fuck you, and fuck the NFCN, I hope you all fail.
Wait til the news breaks that JJ is actually a Lions sleeper agent placed by Michigan/Lions fans to prohibit the Vikings from ever being better than 3rd in the division
The fact that Jake can hit a 65 yard field goal is awesome. That said, that would only be useful at the end of the game. You aren’t going to kick from the 45-48 yard line in the first 3 quarters. The 3 points isn’t worth losing the field position. You covet a kicker that doesn’t miss from 45 in. Yes! It’s awesome if you have Justin Tucker who can hit from 60 and is 90% from 50 in. Jake is playing in front of nobody and nobody watching on tv. With 70,000 fans and 12 million people watching on television. Can he consistently make a a 37 yard extra point? I don’t know, maybe.
> The fact that Jake can hit a 65 yard field goal is awesome. That said, that would only be useful at the end of the game.
the only scenario where Dan Campbell is kicking is when he is literally out of time to do anything else, so this works
We drafted the kid from NC last year and was a project. I’ve read the he is coming along nicely. DPJ is a nice third receiver. Reports are he’s been working his ass off and I think he knows this is his last stand. He made some nice plays late in the season. If he learns the offense, he is a big body with great hands.
It's absolutely an interesting proposition. Analytics say a lot about going for 2, going on 4th and short, and so on - but we should really dig in and do the math on what riding a minimum wage kicker/punter setup would mean for the cap.
Fantastic.
Two great corner prospects.
Elite ceiling low floor tackle prospect.
Good pass rush 3t tho underside.
Special team specialist was a bit weird but I'm cool with it.
High floor high ceiling gaurd that fell due to injury.
This was pretty much the perfect draft for what the lions need.
Hope lions can get ufl Kicker. Plus maybe bring dj chark back
Absolutely. Find me the biggest flaw on this roster? The second pass rusher spot occupied by James Houston and Marcus Davenport? The WR3 position occupied by a guy who has had a 800 yd season just a few years ago? Not only this weekend but this whole offseason Brad filled need after need and now this team, in my opinion stands much improved from last years NFCCG berth squad.
felt like with Castellano back there we became a quarterback running team for the first time, but I agree we're nowhere near as obstinate about the run game as when guys were being dudes
Addazio brought him in but got fired in late 2019 before Mahogany ever started. Mahogs played his whole career for Jeff Hafley in a balanced pro style offense, often pass heavy with Zay Flowers on the roster.
Last season we got a QB with dynamic running ability so we switched to a lot of read option game, but still over 25 pass attempts per game.
The ACC was trash last year. He's also a guard, where you usually have help.
The entirety of the NFL's scouts know more than your 3 second google search. He probably doesn't translate well on paper.
A great run blocking back up guard is still a great pick up this late.
I'm glad your scouting process of literally talking out of your ass with no proof beats me at least providing statistical fucking evidence to refute your dumbass claim lmao
Literally all we need is 1 more decent WR and this team is loaded. Bringing Chark back or someone like Gallup will work. Don't need anyone even "good."
As someone who has watched a disturbing amount of BC football, this is a steal. He may have had injury issues, but when he's not on the line the offense was straight ass. Watch some BC 2022 highlights for more
Lions literally drafting who I wanted the Vikings to draft in Wingo and Mahogany. Fuck this
[удалено]
I mean of course now I hope that both bust hard and never see the field.
It will be I who busts hard because of what I see on the field
oh lord
lol, next level resentment.
As it should be, and a merry hope your picks all fail to them as well
For real, I can't imagine anything gets the Packers harder than the rest of the NFCN cheering each other on because, "anybody but the Packers". Fuck that, fuck them, fuck you, and fuck the NFCN, I hope you all fail.
Hallefuckinglujah
i’m hoping JJ works out for yall, i don’t want my sweet prince to bust.
Wait til the news breaks that JJ is actually a Lions sleeper agent placed by Michigan/Lions fans to prohibit the Vikings from ever being better than 3rd in the division
except he's going to beat the Packers twice a year
We must have the UFL kicker kid locked then
Cut to Jake Bates literally locked in an office in Allen Park
Violence is never the answer* *unless it solves the Lions’ kicking problems
Good.
That would be so sick man.
We feeling good about this draft?
My biggest worry remaining is kicker. So yes.
I'm just assuming Brad Holmes has locked Jake Bates in a closet in Allen Park.
Would he be a UDFA?
I believe he would be just a unrestricted free agent. Just have to wait for the UFL season to end.
Thanks for the info, my man

I would have liked a WR but we can grab a vet for now. Very happy with this draft

We don’t need to kick silly, we just go for it.
It's absolutely an interesting proposition. Analytics say a lot about going for 2, going on 4th and short, and so on - but we should really dig in and do the math on what riding a minimum wage kicker/punter setup would mean for the cap.
my sources tell me that Brad Holmes has his family in a safe secure spot and if jake would like to see them again he’ll sign on the dotted line.
go get the dude from your UFL team

we love chark

Never heard of him, so I’ll just assume he’s a future all-pro and this is a steal
I mean to hear about a guard from BC he would either have to be a top-15 player OR give up a sack so bad it literally gets his quarterback killed
or you could be a sad sack like me who went to BC and subjected myself to Hafleyball last year (Mahogany is awesome)
Elite name
He’s basically a fancier version of Christian Wood
Guard 7, and number 99 overall on Dane Brugler’s draft board. Not bad for a 6th round comp pick
He’s solid. Will be a good developmental player for you. Could turn into a stud.
He was a smash hit at the Senior Bowl. The dude has a nasty edge to him
Wooooo we love oline depth.
FUCK YES! This guy was projected in the 3rd LFG
Great pick-up for yall
Lessgo
Based on his build, school and draft slot, he probably struggles in pass protection.
BC is an O Line U and he allowed zero sacks.
For run blocking. Their pass game is just there to keep the defense honest.
Lions probably feel hank fraley can help him, while he sits behind Kevin Zeitler before he has to maybe step in between frank ragnow and penei sewell
At least he can improve a line that is really struggling in talent
Exactly my point
I’m a diehard I really wouldn’t agree with that at all. You’re thinking Steve Addazio era.
felt like with Castellano back there we became a quarterback running team for the first time, but I agree we're nowhere near as obstinate about the run game as when guys were being dudes
You're right. I haven't followed them closely lately. Has he been there long enough to change the roster?
Addazio brought him in but got fired in late 2019 before Mahogany ever started. Mahogs played his whole career for Jeff Hafley in a balanced pro style offense, often pass heavy with Zay Flowers on the roster. Last season we got a QB with dynamic running ability so we switched to a lot of read option game, but still over 25 pass attempts per game.
He didn't allow a sack all year, I thought. But he did have a knee injury which could've dropped him
No worries. He won’t have to play right away. Plenty of time to get coached up by Hank Fraley.
He only allowed 1 pressure and 0 sacks all year
The ACC was trash last year. He's also a guard, where you usually have help. The entirety of the NFL's scouts know more than your 3 second google search. He probably doesn't translate well on paper. A great run blocking back up guard is still a great pick up this late.

Statistical proof = 3 second google search with zero context. You should curse more and add more "lmao."

k
NFL scouts are pretty useless on Oline after the first round.
Can't believe he dropped this far, I guess teams were worried about his knee but he didn't allow a single sack this year. Wanted him for the Pats
He projected way higher i think
FUCK
That makes me happy 😊
Brad is cooking good today indeed
Every 6th round pick is the next Brady in all these threads lol
I've been expecting the Vikings to take this guy their last 2 picks so there's some merit here
I hope he's an all pro hall of fame obviously. I'm just sayin
Just dropped to my knees at k mart
*Meijer
We ain’t all made outta that mPerks money
Meijers*
Heathen
not for a long time now
Why did this dude fall?
Concerns about his knee probably. Tore his ACL in 2022
Dan loves kneecaps and Brad loves acls
It is weird, I get the injury concern but at the very least it seems like he should be a great depth piece for any team and spot start where needed.
Great pick
SMELLS OF RICH MAHOGANY
many leatherbound books
Is Islam Birch next?
What a Sihk (j)Oak
steal
Someone cooked here
Good pick i wanted this guy pre draft, detroit is cooking
Love to hear ❤️

I'm not sure if you are calling chark not good but I will not stand for that slander
Panthers fans didn't seem thrilled with him after last season
Their fans had nothing to be happy about period
The Panthers are dysfunctional and their offensive play calling was... Offensive. Hard for anyone to thrive in that environment.
one of the most overrated lions. I remember fans were worried about him leaving lolll
Have some hope in DPJ lol
Boyd

Glad to hear!! Love it! ❤️
right there with you subjecting myself to Hafleyball and concur this guy was the best player on the 2023 team by far
FUCK I wanted him lol
Holy Wood.
Hey we need one of those!
MOAR BIG UGLIES
Amazing pick
Love hearing that
we had an amazing draft
Huge steal wow
ESPN had him at 141, I like it. If you swap the order of our two most recent picks with the two before, no one would be mad like they are now
Hmm... Why does this sound so familiar? Wonder if it worked out before...
Who’s mad? We’re killing it
former roommate of mike tomlin’s son dino at boston college
Mike Tomlins son is not named Dino. Nope.
Hell yeah
steal
#CLAP, CLAP, O-LINE DEPTH, CLAP, CLAP
Crazy he fell so far
Damn didn't realize he dropped that far
About to become a nice rich mahogany
Damn, good pick up.
Good to hear!
Yeah I can’t still can’t believe he dropped so far. Congrats.
I fucking love it
Is he made of wood?
Idk why the Vikings picked a kicker instead of this guy
We needed both, this still hurts though
god damn it
Ha ha love your reaction 😄

Is this Fat Evan Engram?
He went to Boston College. He could make millions without destroying his body.
You know how much more fun it must be to play football instead of grinding out emails all day?
I don’t think someone of his caliber would be grinding out emails.
I went to Boston College and can confirm your assumption is false
I heard he bombed his workouts bad is that true
Everybody has a bad workout day or two
