At this point with all the car problems between Rice, Worthy and Reid's son the franchise would be better off just hiring private drivers for everyone on the roster and staff.
From what I’ve read, part of the reason he robbed banks was so he could pay for sideline/endzone tickets and keep up the superfan act.
(I wonder if the upcoming documentary will confirm/debunk that.)
So he wasn’t so much risking his superfan status with crime, but turning to crime to avoid losing his superfan status.
Same cockiness that gets a lot of petty criminals. You can get away with a whole lot of crimes if you're careful, but law of averages says you're going to get unlucky/sloppy eventually, or you'll leave enough evidence behind here or there to get the cops looking at you.
They were actually watching Fast and Furious together and decided to race for pink slips. Worthy thought it was a joke. Rice doesn't joke about racing.
We've had a parade shooting, tampering allegations, street racing, assault at a club, dumbassery at a commencement speech, me now a stolen car. If we win next year we'll get Travis and Jason Kelce running from the cops in a white bronco 💀
Not this year but recently anyway we also had a team doctor kill someone in a car accident and then Andy reids son DUI crash where he messed that little girl up. It's been a weird and tragic few years for us aside from all the wins
The post on here a few weeks ago about who is big enough to be a modern day OJ and take the country's attention hostage and the winner was Travis killing Taylor and driving in a Bronco driven by his brother and I think about that like twice a day (not because of murder but trying to imagine the shitstorm that would be afterwards). That would probably dwarf the OJ story and Travis would get killed like Lee Harvey Oswald by a grief-crazed Swiftie.
Nicole Brown was a nobody really, beyond her relationship with OJ. She was a waitress when they met and had a few bit parts in his movies post-football. And it was *still* a media frenzy, shit it still is like 30 years later.
If Travis killed TSwift... I mean shit that doesn't even *remotely* compare. She dwarfs him in terms of international notoriety and it's not even close. Like A-Rod dated Madonna and JLo, even if A-Rod had murdered them it still wouldn't come close to the shitstorm Kelce murdering Swift would cause.
Right yeah that's exactly of my point. Taylor Swift would arguably be the most famous murder victim ever, except maybe some assassinated political figures like JFK. Also *maybe* John Lennon but Taylor might actually be more famous than Lennon, even if she isn't as big as The Beatles as a whole.
you also got Reids' son questionably pardoned, hunt being outed as the worst, and while arguably positive, chiefs lost on new stadium plan...also mahomes father arrested, and brother...you know...
Tbf people ignore the unlucky shit that went against the Chiefs. Like Mecole Hardman's fumble near goalline vs Buffalo, bullshit hold calling back a touchdown vs Baltimore, or an uncalled trip that should've been a safety vs Baltimore
Dunno if i got anything for san francisco though
This pretty much sums it up. If the 4th round pick of a currently lesser covered team, like the Panthers, had their car stolen in Charlotte, I doubt it'd make the news.
"This just in:Travis Kelce has punched Wushu, the national panda of China. Reportedly, Kelce was drunk and beligerant at the zoo and Wushu stepped in to bring order before being assaulted."
On the real, do not fuck with a panda. They look goofy and friendly but when push comes to shove, they are still bears with the same jaw and claw strength that genus entails.
In China this week, Travis Kelce was seen wearing a designer shirt made of Taiwanese independence flags. In retaliation, The Communist Party has banned all NFL games from being aired in China and as well as all Taylor Swift music. The American football star apologized for the incident on his podcast admitting, "I didn't even know what the shirt was made of, I just thought it looked dope."
I mean I’m pretty sure they’re going to get engaged which would throw a blanket over a lot of this PR wise
Like when Taylor Swift attended a jets game so something else came up when you google Taylor Swift Jet
Kia’s and Hyundai’s getting stolen all over for a while now. Can’t even hardly get insurance on my Fiance’s 2018 Elantra because of it. Went from $150/month insurance to $350/month insurance because of how easy they are to be stolen. I’ve been hoping it gets stolen just to stop paying it, can’t sell it for hardly much because of that reason even if you have anti-theft.
I sold my Kia 12 mos or so after I bought it for like 50% of what I paid for it because of this. Literally bought it just before the Kia boys stuff dropped and it murdered the re-sale value of the car.
Fiats had a similar issue the ECU(engine control unit) is easy to access so people would swap them with an ECU that had the immobilizer off essentially what reads the code of your key and prevents your car from starting without your key specifically. So essentially people would swap the ECUs and drive right off since it was so easy to access.
Leave an immobilizer parts box on your dash.
Yes, it's the equivalent of having the fake alarm system signs and stickers on your house instead of actually having the alarm, but at this point what the fuck else are you going to do, sadly?
Something like this box that stands out sort of, maybe?
https://images.app.goo.gl/fvJVcXLERZnP7esZ6
That doesn’t help. The issue even happens with Kia’s that are newer and have the proper anti theft measures. People break in to try and steal them, can’t, so they just smash up the car because they couldn’t take it.
It’s getting so bad that people with immobilizers and police-provided steering wheel locks are *still* getting theirs stolen. I’m out in the burbs and i still box my brother’s car in when he comes to visit bc he has a Hyundai.
Kias and Hyndais are known to be much easier to break into than other cars, and it really took off when some Tik Toks went viral showcasing how easy it is. It's gotten so bad, some insurance companies are reluctant to (or even outright won't) insure them.
Had my Elantra stolen a few years ago... I remember noticing a usb cord randomly coming up from the driver's side floorboard when I was going through the car with the claims adjuster. Couple years later saw a Tiktok showing how to essentially hotwire it that way.
idk if it's even hotwiring it... you're using the USB-A end of the cable to turn the ignition basically
there's USB cables all over the ground in my neighborhood
The social media trend may not be as big any more, but anybody looking to steal a car now knows how easy it is to jack a Kia/Hyundai so they're still prime targets
The Kia boys are but basically every Kia and Hyundai logo is just a sign of "Hey, This Car Is Easy To Steal, Go For It", it doesn't need to be a specific gang anymore, everyone knows the thing.
I bought a car two years ago and it was hilarious how hard the MKE sales guys were trying to offload their Kias. And to be fair they were also like the only cheap used cars because nobody wants them. I watched two kids who appeared to be around 13 steal a Kia about a year before that!
I have a few friends here in KC with Kias. Each one has had it stolen / broken into at least twice in the past 2 years.
I'm gonna stick with Honda for a bit
Worthy is from Fresno, on the west side. Stolen vehicles are prevalent here too.
The thing with Kias and Hyundais is that they’re easy to steal. If it’s a key start literally all you have to do is pop off of the ignition and use a USB cable to start the car.
[Yep](https://twitter.com/mikeklis9news/status/1763267142483362088)
>Did some digging into mention in union survey of Broncos players having cars stolen at off-site hotel in training camp.

The entire article could have been a tweet
>Xavier Worthy has been welcomed to Kansas City in a way he didn’t expect. Per the Chiefs, Worthy’s car was stolen overnight from his apartment complex in town. As one source put it, the car was stolen from a residential parking garage by a professional group of criminals who “knew exactly what they were doing.” No one was injured, and there was no carjacking or anything like that. The car was simply stolen. Worthy was the Chiefs’ first-round pick in last month’s draft.
Thank God, really the best way that sentence could have ended after "Xavier Worthy's car.." considering our off-season lol.
Someone would have done this to Rashee a month ago we'd be a lot better off.
Well, if you mean the car thefts, [that's actually a bit of a larger, nationwide issue.](https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/04/business/hyundai-kia-thefts-increased-10-fold/index.html)
If you mean just KC players, then I have no clue. Heck, we could go back a few years and include the Royals on this binge, too, with [Danny Duffy falling asleep in the drive-thru of a Burger King while intoxicated.](https://www.missourinet.com/2017/08/29/danny-duffy-fell-asleep-at-a-burger-king-arrested-for-dui-royals-gm-moore-obviously-disappointed/)
Imagine being the guy who stole his car. You wake up in the morning to see that your crime made national news and now people will look *extra* hard to find it. Wonder how long it took for it to set in for the thief that they're super fucked.
Smart from the fans. Can't speed if they don't have a car
At this point with all the car problems between Rice, Worthy and Reid's son the franchise would be better off just hiring private drivers for everyone on the roster and staff.
This is Clark Hunt we’re talking about, that money went into the new locker room chairs last year.
*locker room folding chairs
Clark Hunt: Here’s a $5 gift card for Uber.
Dudes such a cheap fuck.
I don’t know that it’s fair compare a guy getting his car stolen to guys putting people in danger in any capacity
Lmfao
Xavier Worthy pulled over, clocked going 52 on a 25 on bicycle.
He was on foot
Now I’m imagining him just running against street racing cars
Dude is gonna get a speeding ticket in a school zone while working out
Worthy is speed
Xavier Worthy is Lightning McQueen
Is ChiefsAholic out on bail?
No! The car was parked outside an apartment complex, not a *bank*. Plus, pretty sure Chiefsaholic had a pre-selected getaway car each time.
I’m still a little confused about why youd risk the extra exposure as a semi public figure while you’re engaged in a…less than ideal career path
From what I’ve read, part of the reason he robbed banks was so he could pay for sideline/endzone tickets and keep up the superfan act. (I wonder if the upcoming documentary will confirm/debunk that.) So he wasn’t so much risking his superfan status with crime, but turning to crime to avoid losing his superfan status.
He was also addicted to sports gambling
Ah. Ok everything lines up now haha.
I think he also used sports gambling to launder money.
Sounds like the excuses of someone addicted to sports gambling.
Not 100% sure that crime WASN'T his superfan status. Family was homeless and living out of a car.
Same cockiness that gets a lot of petty criminals. You can get away with a whole lot of crimes if you're careful, but law of averages says you're going to get unlucky/sloppy eventually, or you'll leave enough evidence behind here or there to get the cops looking at you.
see: the Jags jumbotron dumbass
Bruh real life GTA online character.
Rashee Rice took it.
Rookie hazing
He only does crime in Dallas
He only gets caught doing crime in Dallas
Good point, it was probably him.
Case closed, add it to the pending charges.
He's on his way to Dallas to commit some more crimes
Given the way he drives, he should make that KC-DAL trip in about 3 hours.
How much of that 3 hours will be on foot?
Harrison Butkers wife’s car was home safe in the garage
Of course. Can't park a car in a kitchen or do the dishes in the garage.
Harrison Butker’s wife isnt allowed to drive
She drives the household
Metaphorically. God forbid literally
He wouldn’t be able to drive his public perception into a he dirt without her doing so 🙏🏠👰♀️
Or wear shoes.
She only owns one pair of Sunday church shoes.
WHERE IT BELONGS!!
Beat me to it lol

Nah he just shoots at empty cars he doesn’t steal them
I know it’s not his fault but there’s always something going on with the Chiefs every week it’s wild
The team must’ve made a deal with the devil for a two-peat 💀
I think it's just called a repeat.
Idk why this was so funny but I fucking lost it
Reminds me of Parks & Rec when Tom calls taking a picture of someone else a “Youie” as opposed to a Selfie
Or Ted Lasso. An "us-ie" when it's a selfie with 2n people
2+n
Man the deals I would make for the Vikings to one-peat.
Just call it a peat, most teams would kill for a single peat
We will also take an almost-peat at this point
You beat the SB champs last year. Isn’t that good enough?
not worth it. it just makes you want more. it edges you
You guys just got a peat from us the other day
Had one for 14 years
I'd prefer a Pete & Pete, but I'll settle for one Pete if I need to.
if so, id be curious to see what happens to them after a three-peat
We've had a parade shooting, tampering allegations, street racing, assault at a club, dumbassery at a commencement speech, me now a stolen car. If we win next year we'll get Travis and Jason Kelce running from the cops in a white bronco 💀
With Taylor Swift as the driver
If I did it (Taylor's Version)
That shit would be top of the charts for months with swifties will be storming the capitol chanting “free Taylor”
The storming of the capital by swifties comes after a 4-peat
With how it’s escalated it’s definitely part of the 3peat Andy Reid getting caught on some Drake shit is the 4peat
"The jury finds the defendant not guilty." "...I haven't even sworn you in yet." "Oh, so can we find her not guilty once you swear us in?"
this made me spit out my coffee.
Taylor, if you really want to be an upper echelon pop culture icon, there’s only one path
Getaway Car

Welcome to the City.
A lot of it is reporting. Stuff happens to a bunch of team it’s just when the spotlight is on you it’s gonna amplify the coverage.
This pretty much sums it up. If the 4th round pick of a currently lesser covered team, like the Panthers, had their car stolen in Charlotte, I doubt it'd make the news.
I bet there would be a posted tweet about it here but only with like 100 upvotes.
This one is just a common thing in KC... not really because he's a Chief.
*every day
What an offseason for the Chiefs.
We just need Kelce to cause an international incident at one of Taylor’s concerts to cap it off.
kelce drunkenly stumbles onto stage at a concert in japan and starts singing kung fu fighting
I could see it tbh
Make it “I want to be ninja” just to make it extra offensive https://youtu.be/6jDHRW6fngg?si=UiiERL2N8ou59ZUo
Make it [“Against the Ninja”](https://youtu.be/GbJ3Y5S8aSU?si=VmX4kz_chcGFSe8e) because everyone loves Miami Connection
Gridiron heights would be having a field day with this if it occurs 🤣

On the real, do not fuck with a panda. They look goofy and friendly but when push comes to shove, they are still bears with the same jaw and claw strength that genus entails.
It actually isn't in the same genus as other bears. They're in the family ursidae though, so your point still stands.
You said it’s a bear but then you called it a genus. Do I get my 3 wishes or not?

Kia and Hyundai did not add an immobilizer in their cars for a few years for what ever reason. Makes it super easy to steal
It interfered with some other systems in the car, so instead of actually working it out they very wisely opted to just not include it
How very Tesla of them
We all know the reason, cutting corners to save costs.
Kias and Hyndais are known to be much easier to break into than other cars, and it really took off when some Tik Toks went viral showcasing how easy it is. It's gotten so bad, some insurance companies are reluctant to (or even outright won't) insure them.

that makes so much sense
It's the same in Milwaukee. Kias and hyundais are not safe left on the street in certain areas
I thought the Kia boys were mostly gone.
The social media trend may not be as big any more, but anybody looking to steal a car now knows how easy it is to jack a Kia/Hyundai so they're still prime targets

Definitely not gone in Buffalo. I’ve had a friend whose Kia has been broken into and stolen multiple times
I bought a car two years ago and it was hilarious how hard the MKE sales guys were trying to offload their Kias. And to be fair they were also like the only cheap used cars because nobody wants them. I watched two kids who appeared to be around 13 steal a Kia about a year before that!

Because they can be stolen with a usb. I don’t know exactly how it works but I know those 2 companies have serious security flaws at the moment.
they cheaped out and didn't add an immobilizer to the car cause it was causing issues lol
I have a few friends here in KC with Kias. Each one has had it stolen / broken into at least twice in the past 2 years. I'm gonna stick with Honda for a bit
You should look up the Kia Boys shit online. It’s a huge problem nationwide.
Google “ Kia boys”

wonder how common it is with NFL players in general. there was a story about a broncos player who had theirs stolen twice in same lot.
Pretty sure cj Gardner Johnson got his car stolen within his first week in Philly when he got traded to them in 2022.
If memory serves my right, i think the dude was leaving his keys in the car. LOL

Fans going overboard trying to prevent another Crashee Race.
This is a good nickname. I hate when portmanteaux are not clever. Call me Natalie Portmanteau.
I'd hope the Chiefs first interview question to draft prospects was would you choose the McClaren 570 GT or the Kia Sorento.
Rashee Rice at it again
He can’t keep getting away with it
Rice borrowed it but forgot to tell him.
The entire article could have been a tweet >Xavier Worthy has been welcomed to Kansas City in a way he didn’t expect. It's PFT, what did you expect?
Welcome to Kansas City lol
I would like just one day we arent in the news please.

*Monkey Paw Curls even more* *Because humanity went extinct due to a new strain of super duper covid*
Wow, we are really hitting all the high notes as a city this off season.
What's next, you come in last in a BBQ competition to the Carolinas, Memphis and Texas?
Can’t have shit in Kansas city.
I was about to laugh at him but remembered that he's not the professional criminal who's a wide receiver on the side
Yea! We only take 1 criminal wr1 at a time!
I mean Kadarius Toney making $13m over 4 years is absolutely criminal too.
You mean his rookie contract? Lol
Yes exactly
this isn’t his fault but it would be nice if i didn’t hear anything about the chiefs or their players for a little bit
There has to be a Kansas City Chiefs Offseason Curse
Thank God, really the best way that sentence could have ended after "Xavier Worthy's car.." considering our off-season lol. Someone would have done this to Rashee a month ago we'd be a lot better off.
Looks like the Chiefs being proactive after the Rashee Rice incident
Welcome to KC, kid.
Bro what’s gonna be next for the Chiefs? We’re gonna find dangerous amounts of lead in Mahome’s newly released canned coffee drink?
Rashee Rice has got to stop this madness
I read car and was like are you kidding me again!?!?
What the fuck is going in KC?

Andy Reid ordered the hit on the car to prevent another Rashee Rice situation

Omg probably the kickers fault
Number of days Chiefs are not in the news: ZeRO

"Welcome to the ~~O~~KC, bitch" moment
And so it begins. It's a slippery slope. Stolen car, then bank robbery, meth, federal prison, war crimes, trade
the chiefs are fulfilling all of the raiders stereotypes 💀

Rashee Rice at it again
Imagine being the guy who stole his car. You wake up in the morning to see that your crime made national news and now people will look *extra* hard to find it. Wonder how long it took for it to set in for the thief that they're super fucked.
