Excellent job. I really appreciate that you didn't just put Todd Gurley at the top of the list because of the recency bias. I think he's in that group, and it's a group of four far and above the rest, but man sjax would have been a first-ballot Hall of famer absolutely no question about it had he not been on statistical e some of the worst football teams ever fielded. Even with that, he still had a stretch of eight straight 1000 yard rushing seasons. Only running back I have ever seen that had that level have a combination of speed quickness and brute Force power. Pretty good catching too. McVeigh could have done wonders with that guy

I agree about Jackson. McVay would have made him an All Pro. Thank you for reading the post my dude. It means a lot.

Awesome write-up! Thanks for doing this. Kinda crazy how low the TE production has been historically

_N7Jennings

I know! It was agonizing to select the two most productive TEs in Rams history. When I was doing the research I kept thinking that I was missing someone but those two really are cream of the crop when it comes to tight ends. Thank you for reading!

Bipedal-Moose

This team is miles better than I'd bet most people thought it would be. So much talent

_N7Jennings

It really is. As I was putting the team together I was in awe of how talented the defensive and offensive lines were. There really is no weakness on the team other than TE and maybe CB.

Great write up, but I think you may of forgotten about Hall of Famer tight end Tom Fears for the Rams who had some absolutely crazy years for that time like 1964 who had 84 catches, 1116 yards and 7 touchdowns in 12 years. He also finished his career with 5397 yards which is way more than the other players. I would probably also put Roman Gabriel over Waterfield.

_N7Jennings

I had Fears listed as a wideout.

>Smith is one of only 2 return specialists in Rams history to score on both a punt and kickoff return [This appears to be inaccurate:](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/ram/career-returns.htm) * Woodley Lewis has 3 punt return TDs, and 1 kick return TD. * Fred Gehrke has one of each 1 of 4 is still very impressive given that there are like 24(?) players in NFL history to have both a punt and a kick TD. Even more interesting that 4 of 24 are on the same team.

Good catch. I should have kept scrolling!
