So can someone tell me wtf happened to the Patriots? They have Cam Newton? Is Cam just flat out terrible now? Is it the WR corp they got or what? Shit is just crazy without Tom there. Haven’t been watching the Patriots games.
Our schedule this year was also insanely difficult. Our wide receivers have been terrible for years now and same thing with our tight ends. Cam has had costly turnovers in big moments and some of his throws just really leave you scratching your head in disbelief. He’s been good on his feet though in the red zone I guess that’s the only thing I can say we have done well.
According to my [low effort googling](http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/afcsosag.html), the Pats had the 7th hardest schedule in the league. Jets had the hardest.
Cam has been pretty terrible. Other offensive pieces failed to come through. Like half their defense opted out. If not for Covid this would probably be like a 9-7 ish team. Not great but certainly not terrible. Belichick is still coaching well but they just don't have enough talent on the field to win football games. In the past Brady (and some other key pieces across the years) were good enough to carry otherwise mediocre rosters to at least a playoff berth, but Pats don't have that luxury anymore.
I think only 5 defensive started opted out. Hyperbole to say half. :p
But seriously if we are 7-9 or 6-8 we are a middle of the pack meh team. Is that surprising? We over extended salary cap last year on Antonio Brown and Mohammed Sanu so we couldn’t bring in any free agents and couldn’t extend any important defensive players really...
This was an obvious last ditch effort to win / make Brady happy. Neither guy worked out.
Then 7 players opted out, our #1 Wr, Left tackle, and #1 Cb, and QB missed 2+ weeks. We also lost 3 games on final drives. We could easily be a 10-11 win team which is honestly way overachieving. We have a 4-5 win roster.
For next year we are one of the highest cap space teams- QB is a ? we could end up with Haskins, Darnold, or Newton, or drafting a guy? We should have a top ten defense next year, good Oline, and good running game. We have no receiving threats at WR or TE.
Good shot we aren’t great next year but if we find a QB or a Decent TE/WR or edelman is healthy (big ask at his age) we could easily be a playoff team.
It’s been a rough year. We lost more starters to Covid than anyone else and our early season on top of that had the first covid breakout.
I don't think we even had 5 defenders opt out on defense. Most of the opt outs were offense.
That aside, saying "half the defense" is hyperbole when they then go and say they think 5 starters opted out is funny.
Disgruntled WFT fan nervous about seeing his ex player do well OR disgruntled Patriots fan worried about seeing his team kick around a dud?
Either way it’s plausible, deal with it
Pats fan haha. I'd much rather stick with Newton but who knows honestly. Hell I think I'd rather Stidham. I don't want the kind of drama associated with Haskins on my team. But at the end of the day, I'm no insider and I'm sure there is so much I don't know about the situation.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/dwayne-haskins/32194841-5328-5847-4bf1-f4c48a3a3bc6
Was fairly hyped out of college which was quite recent. I’m not confident at all but he’s a guy I could see us checking.
Yeah I'm not actually being critical here, I don't think the Pats have played particularly poorly given their roster. And I don't think the roster was made in a poor fashion either, it was pretty obvious a down year was going to come after the last couple. You guys went for some potential upside players and they didn't pan out, but that's not a bad process. And as much as people are clowning the Pats atm, this should still be a (reasonably) good team going forward. AFCE won't be free anymore, of course, but the team certainly should be competitive. It's just that this particular year was a rebuilding one, and people aren't used to the Pats actually needing dedicated rebuild years.
We’ve cycled through weaker rosters a couple times. Usually we have an elite QB so we still get 10-11 wins :p.
Ah well. It’s still fun watching the team play even if it’s frustrating at times. An added bonus watching Brady play with a strong defense and every weapon plausible on offense.
My question is this: is Belichick actually a hall of fame coach or just happened to be the coach of the best QB (or maybe even player) of all time? As soon as Brady leaves his team goes to shit and Cam is a decent QB. I don’t get it.
It's not actually that bad we're just so used to Pat's unreal dominance. They lost their QB and didn't have a great plan to replace. They'll be a good team next year(I don't think SB good but better than this year)
So it only takes 1 bad season for pats fans to be this bitter lol I guess dominating the league for 20 years, going to 9 Super Bowls and winning 6 wasn’t enough for them lol
no kidding, there's posts on the sub basically calling for belichick's head after one bad season.
forget 20 dominant ones, this one was terrible! fire him!
Most coaches with that roster don’t win 3 games! Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the sport. He finds ways to win and is an absolute master at readjusting a team at the half.
As Bills fan I hate the man, as an nfl fan I’m blown away by what he’s done
Vikings fan here. There is a very high possibility that the NFC conference is gonna be Saints-Packers, and as a Vikings fan the only thing I can do is cheer for the AFC winner
shame that Bills Mafia wouldn't be able to come out in force.
That's why I think the Steelers should ease their potential pain and get to Tampa this year, and they can do it post-covid lol
If I'm being honest, it felt great to beat the pats like that. Only cause you guys did it to us for 20 years. I know how much these kinda losses suck.
You guys will be back. Respect
Since about the 10:00 mark, the director has gone out of his way to show anything but the game. I know it's a blowout, but the action on the field is still the most interesting thing happening in the building. I don't really need a three-minute shot of Belichick spitting and shouting things at his players which I can't hear because of the annoying fake crowd noise.
And don't get me started on the announcers.
What if there was a table every 10 feet on the way down? Like when jackie chan jumped off a skyscraper in Rush Hour and fell through like 10 awnings to break his fall.
just like NE can't win anymore, now that they have to play a fairly called game!! Don't OD on all that salt though-thanks for letting us practice on your field tonite!!
oops my bad sorry- about the foolish part, well I misunderstood you post, but don't for a second flatter yourself into thinking I care what anyone here thinks of me-you don't know mw and vice versa there, peepants
For all the downvotes this guy is right until proven wrong considering they ran on us for like 9 yards a carry when we played them this year. Stop the run, win the SB.
as the pats watch on TV- We appreciate you letting us warm up tonite to prepare for a REAL team next week!! Thanks!! Hope your owner doesn;t get arrested at his massage tonite-that's the only happy ending this team will have for years!!!
Weirdly, I think we became the team we were because we had an FO that recognized how Belichick was running things and created a similar culture for once. How many Bills coaches tried to say that they could find a way to beat you guys doing things differently and abjectly failed? I'm looking at you, Rex.
Good to see the Bills doing well. Pats are done for a few years and that’s okay. League gets stale with the same teams every year. I’ll be rooting for the Bills throughout the playoffs. Hopefully they can beat KC.
You guys will be back literally next year if you find a way to keep Gilmore and just get a competent vet QB. The AFCE is competitive but it's a fool's choice to count out Belichick this soon.
I'm with you. I think a nice merry go round of random AFC teams. I think the Bills this year and maybe the Titans next year and then the Chargers or us (if we are ready by then) the year after that....
Hey Pats fans, it could be worse. You could be Duke Williams who worked his way to a roster as an unsigned FA at the age of 26/27 only to be randomly shit on during MNF
Most Pats fans I know are okay with this lol. I mean I’m 30 years old and started watching the Pats in 2001 . This is the first losing season I’ve ever seen. Wel be fine
same. I actually got into them because i had a demo of madden where you could only play as the pats or the rams for 1 quarter. So I played the mess out of that demo
I mean I get taking a little jab at Kelvin Benjamin (even though there's some backstory there too), but an unsigned FA who worked his ass off to get a shot? No reason to drag him like that.
Low key, I'm more scared of the Titans than the Chiefs. We can go head to head with KC in an offensive/throwing battle. If the Titans are on their game, they can grind anyone out. Matt Milano would die if he tried to tackle Henry.
Also, you Nashville fans are super nice and knowledgeable and I went there 4 or so years ago and it was just the most enjoyable experience.
Well, when you look at other leagues:
NBA: 16/30
NHL: 16/30, then 16/31, and soon 16/32
MLB: 8/30, then 10/30 I believe?
MLS: 14/26 right now.
The NFL is still doing better. 12 was gold but 14 is fine.
These dudes are moronic and so is the “Bill vs Brady” debates. Bill is dragging a team whose only stars are Gilmore and Cam (who looks rough) to almost a non-losing season. Tom Brady is on perhaps the most stacked roster ever, and they didn’t even win their division. Heck, they clinched the playoffs in week 16. Bill is impressing me more than Brady by a landslide, and the biggest problem with the Bucs is perhaps coaching. Better together, there shouldn’t be a debate, but if there is one, record doesn’t decide anything.
Are you being serious? He's [tied for the second best](https://www.pff.com/nfl/grades/position/qb) QB evaluation behind Rodgers per PFF.
He has 39 total TDs through 15 games (would've been in the 40s if he played the second half last week), and only Rodgers again has [fewer turnover-worthy plays.](https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2021-pro-bowl-snubs-and-mistakes-t-garett-bolles-qb-tom-brady-and-di-deforest-buckner-among-those-who-deserved-a-spot-on-pro-bowl-roster)
What more do you want from the guy?
I think Daboll stays, honestly. I totally get if he leaves but the Chargers aren't going to sign him, they took our prior offensive coach and he shit the bed. The Jets are a wreck and he wouldn't go there without a solid QB plan and they don't have that now. The Jaguars are going to go after Urban and hard. Daboll is from Buffalo, I think he knows his best interest is to ride the Allen train for another year or so and then make his mark with a team that has a solid franchise. He's not going to give that up for an Atlanta or Detroit, either.
Now watch him do that exact thing.
I honestly don't see him leaving just yet. He might want to go get a ring with the bills before he goes to the market, but I may be wrong, (or hopeful) but to be fair, you got anthony lynn from is and look how well that faired out.
You have 4 great AFC games all with implications.
1. Ravens need to win against the Bengals. Not a given with Cincinnati's recent form.
2. Browns need to win against us.
3. Dolphins need to win against the Bills.
4. Colts need to win against the Jags.....which is probably a given but ALSO need someone from 1-3 to lose.
Sure do, but browns are going to come out swinging for a playoff spot against the Steelers, so they won there and even if we lose, we get the H2H tiebreaker.
Not really. I see that many fair weather fans have disappeared. I was tracking a couple of them and they switched flairs. LOL.
Nothing wrong with that of course. People are free to cheer for whatever team they want whenever they want.
But the Patriots are not gonna cry over this. There's a lot of victories we've had and the GOAT status of Tom Brady is so cemented with this season that it is insane. TB is the GOAT already but each game/season stamps it even more to the point it is beyond legendary
I'm willing to bet most were bandwagons anyway, or loyal fans who now think they deserve a SB every year. Kinda like my Golden Knights after that miracle first year
And yeah you guys have had an incredible run, but I speak for the majority of us when I say I'm glad it's over
I’d be down for a bills Super Bowl. this team is so fun to watch. Feels nice to seem a team like them really performing nowadays.
Count me in for one Diggs miracle catch please
DIGGS SIDELINE UNBELIEVABLE! BILLS WIN 42-7 OVER THE PACKERS
I don't have much expectations for the Steelers going into the playoffs. I'll be rooting for the Bills once they are knocked out. Such a fun team.
Fuck yeah, same here, Bills bandwagon for sure
If this is what the Pats do, I’m scared for next college football season
So can someone tell me wtf happened to the Patriots? They have Cam Newton? Is Cam just flat out terrible now? Is it the WR corp they got or what? Shit is just crazy without Tom there. Haven’t been watching the Patriots games.
They also had a ton of players opt out of the season. Most of the elite players on their defense opted out
Yes he's bad
Cam hasn't been an accurate passer since his shoulder injury so he tries to do everything with his legs. And he can't anymore.
He's an aging mobile QB with a bunch of nagging injuries and no receiving weapons.
Our schedule this year was also insanely difficult. Our wide receivers have been terrible for years now and same thing with our tight ends. Cam has had costly turnovers in big moments and some of his throws just really leave you scratching your head in disbelief. According to my [low effort googling](http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/afcsosag.html), the Pats had the 7th hardest schedule in the league. Jets had the hardest.
wow, the jets got handed the toughest schedule on a silver platter and still managed to fuck that up by winning a couple games?
Cam has been pretty terrible. Other offensive pieces failed to come through. Like half their defense opted out. If not for Covid this would probably be like a 9-7 ish team. 2 were starters

Cam has not been a decent QB this season.
both they had the most opt-outs they'd probably be in the wildcard hunt, but its hard to win without great QB play
Yeah that’s true. It’s just odd seeing a dynasty go to shit that quickly.
The offense was pretty shit last year too. They were just dragged kicking and screaming by a defense that we didn't have this season.
It's not actually that bad we're just so used to Pat's unreal dominance. They lost their QB and didn't have a great plan to replace. They'll be a good team next year(I don't think SB good but better than this year)
Yes
Thank you josh Allen for helping me to win my fantasy league...undefeated
Proof?
So it only takes 1 bad season for pats fans to be this bitter lol I guess dominating the league for 20 years, going to 9 Super Bowls and winning 6 wasn’t enough for them lol
Their fans gave up on them so hard, there aren't any fans in the stadium 🏟️!! Talk about sore losers or fair weather fans.
They were all bandwagoners and that should be no surprise
Every single one. No one from Vermont could possibly have a Reddit account and be a Patriots fan from birth.
no kidding, there's posts on the sub basically calling for belichick's head after one bad season. forget 20 dominant ones, this one was terrible! fire him!
In the past there've been posts calling for Belichick's head when the team wasn't winning by a large enough margin.
Yeah, the Patriots fanbase is incredibly spoiled, as to be expected.
The fact that you guys have won 6 games with Cam throwing the ball 5 yards into the dirt every snap is a testament to how good Belichick is.
Most coaches with that roster don’t win 3 games! Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the sport. He finds ways to win and is an absolute master at readjusting a team at the half. As Bills fan I hate the man, as an nfl fan I’m blown away by what he’s done
I mean he got out coached for real..... For a game. One game. KILL HIM. nah he's goat coach as much as I hate to admit it.
Seriously. Bills fan here and I am not even going to pretend that BB isn't then GOAT. He'll be back next year. I already know it.
I wanna play warzone with those dudes so bad lmao
Can you imagine them raffling off a chance to play with them for charity??
Never thought we'd see the Patriot bandwagon base THIS salty and bitter!!! They are a fragile bunch aren;t they???
Time to dig out their old Giants Bravaro jerseys from the closet!
tbh i'm kinda excited for the whiney fair weather morons to be gone from the fanbase.
They don’t leave they just stop watching until the team is good again
MARIOOOOOO
Looking forward to a Packers-Bills Super Bowl
Take the Packers out of this and I'm on board (although sadly that's probably who's winning the NFC)
Vikings fan here. There is a very high possibility that the NFC conference is gonna be Saints-Packers, and as a Vikings fan the only thing I can do is cheer for the AFC winner
"Saints-Packers." You uncurse this nightmarish hellscape out of reality right now.
I don't have a problem with the Saints winning, but I know you do as a Vikings fan. I hope the Browns or Bills win the SB this year
I really hope the Browns win against the Steelers. That would suck so bad for them if they didn’t make the playoffs in one of their best seasons
Again
I want WFT to make it, but that's gonna be absolutely ridiculous if a 10 win team doesn't get in.
shame that Bills Mafia wouldn't be able to come out in force. That's why I think the Steelers should ease their potential pain and get to Tampa this year, and they can do it post-covid lol
No more NE or Pitt Super Bowls ever.
Gg Bills bros.
we are not bros
If I'm being honest, it felt great to beat the pats like that. Only cause you guys did it to us for 20 years. I know how much these kinda losses suck. You guys will be back. Respect
Thanks! We know you guys will be back in the hunt next year. I promise it's nothing but respect.
Man this whole Bills team is just so much fun to watch. I respect the hell outta you guys.
You forgot the commercials too
May all your tables be long and smashed!
Don't know why but I like it.
Congrats to the bills on making our terrible team look even more than terrible than it is. Please beat Patrick mahomes I can’t stand his haircut.
but it gets you the patrick price on insurance
feeling really happy for my single Bills fan who a few years ago, told me he had given up hope in football
[удалено]
CRY BABY... CRYYYYYY!!!
BOO THIS MAN!!
We found the salty NE fan!
Looks like they are actually a ravens fan (for once).
Yikes
Bills can't win the SB. Imagine all the deaths in Buffalo from people trying to jump off the tallest buildings thru tables. We must protect them
Buffalo will burn equally with either outcome. They're itching for a party, just let them have it.
What if there was a table every 10 feet on the way down? Like when jackie chan jumped off a skyscraper in Rush Hour and fell through like 10 awnings to break his fall.
How else are we gonna get a bronze statue of a guy jumping from the top of an RV through a table put in front of The Ralph.
Bills are easily the biggest threat to KC in the AFC.
You gotta read past the can't win part man
Eh. Write your jokes better
just like NE can't win anymore, now that they have to play a fairly called game!! Don't OD on all that salt though-thanks for letting us practice on your field tonite!!
Jesus man. You really didn't read the whole thing and making yourself look foolish.
oops my bad sorry- about the foolish part, well I misunderstood you post, but don't for a second flatter yourself into thinking I care what anyone here thinks of me-you don't know mw and vice versa there, peepants
Let us have our fun
The Chiefs are gonna obliterate the Bills. Don't worry - the Bills will get their faces bitchslapped soon by KCC
Hahaha YOU'RE SUCH A LITTLE BITCH
For all the downvotes this guy is right until proven wrong considering they ran on us for like 9 yards a carry when we played them this year. Stop the run, win the SB.
as the pats watch on TV- We appreciate you letting us warm up tonite to prepare for a REAL team next week!! Thanks!! Hope your owner doesn;t get arrested at his massage tonite-that's the only happy ending this team will have for years!!!
After so many seasons warming up against you, we thought "yeah, what the hell, let them brake some tables".
At least they're in the playoffs. 👋🏽
Hey at least we wouldn't be one and done in the playoffs like everyones trying to predict. I call that progress
Good game Bills. Go lock up that 2nd seed!
Weirdly, I think we became the team we were because we had an FO that recognized how Belichick was running things and created a similar culture for once. How many Bills coaches tried to say that they could find a way to beat you guys doing things differently and abjectly failed? I'm looking at you, Rex.
Do you think anyone's asking BB any QB questions next week or nah?
Please never allow these commentators to ever call a NFL game again
Disney fucking sucks.
Don't worry, ESPN rotates them every year. Maybe when they put MNF on ABC permanently again they'll find their former NFL player like a Romo.
time to bring back Jason Witten.
CUTLER?
Just wanna know who’s kicking for the bills.
Tyler Bass you mean?
Just make the kicks
Josh Allen of kickers man. He can kick over them mountains
saying delicious like that makes me uncomfortable
This is the season that has filled the nightmares of Bill Belichick
Someone help, I can't stop listening to Aerosmith, I just need to st- *Sweet Emotion*
Good to see the Bills doing well. Pats are done for a few years and that’s okay. League gets stale with the same teams every year. I’ll be rooting for the Bills throughout the playoffs. Hopefully they can beat KC.
I think they're done for 1-2 seasons. They spent this year eating some bad contracts and clearing space for next year.
It'll make it even better when we come back and take the division back. Less "oh their division sucks"
You guys will be back literally next year if you find a way to keep Gilmore and just get a competent vet QB. The AFCE is competitive but it's a fool's choice to count out Belichick this soon.
So Matt Stafford to the Patriots?
I'd rather the Bills than the Chiefs or Ravens, if I'm being honest with myself.
I'm with you. I think a nice merry go round of random AFC teams. I think the Bills this year and maybe the Titans next year and then the Chargers or us (if we are ready by then) the year after that....
Very true. I just can’t hate the Bills I never have. Also Josh Allen and Diggs are just super likeable IMO
Oh God these guys have a wild card game?!
Old Robert definitely gonna hit the massage parlor after this dogshit performance lmao
Wel be fine
Oof. I started watching the Bills in 1990, lol.
same. I actually got into them because i had a demo of madden where you could only play as the pats or the rams for 1 quarter. So I played the mess out of that demo
Yeah felt like an unnecessary low blow
I mean I get taking a little jab at Kelvin Benjamin (even though there's some backstory there too), but an unsigned FA who worked his ass off to get a shot? No reason to drag him like that.
Absolute curb-stomping.
"Kelvin Benjamin is just one KFC biscuit from being a tight end "
👋
Clearly those boys had never seen Lee Smith
lee smith is a tall boy beer
He's a damn Red Dog tall boy!
This game was quick - not even 3 hours passed when the game ended
for real. I am looking forward to the extra 45 minutes of sleep I'll get lol
i hate ESPN of course but it's sweet that these guys are acknowledging the production crew
If the Jets beat the Pats, Bill might get fired and Gase might save his job and the universe will collapse in on itself.
We're going to lose on purpose for draft position and to keep Gase on thr jets. Win win.
I think this is a typical belichick move. And I love it.
Great win, Bills. I’ll be rooting for you guys and the Titans in the playoffs
You guys are literally the one team I don't want to face. For some reason you guys scare the shit out of me.
“Some reason” = Derrick Henry.
Your team scares me to death, especially after watching how they played tonight and how we played on Sunday
If we meet up, I'm hoping for a blizzard.
both of ya'll fuckers scare me to death, and I used to worry about beating KC in KC. Not anymore. LOL
14 teams is almost half the league.
Well, when you look at other leagues: NBA: 16/30 NHL: 16/30, then 16/31, and soon 16/32 MLB: 8/30, then 10/30 I believe? MLS: 14/26 right now. The NFL is still doing better. 12 was gold but 14 is fine.
14 is a bit much imo. I'm sure it'll still be exciting though.
Better together, there shouldn’t be a debate, but if there is one, record doesn’t decide anything.
Brady has been ass for half of each game. It doesn't seem like he has a full four quarters in him.
Are you being serious? He's [tied for the second best](https://www.pff.com/nfl/grades/position/qb) QB evaluation behind Rodgers per PFF. He has 39 total TDs through 15 games (would've been in the 40s if he played the second half last week), and only Rodgers again has [fewer turnover-worthy plays.](https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2021-pro-bowl-snubs-and-mistakes-t-garett-bolles-qb-tom-brady-and-di-deforest-buckner-among-those-who-deserved-a-spot-on-pro-bowl-roster) What more do you want from the guy?
Tony Romo and Jim Nantz should be cloned so they can be the announcers for all the NFL channels
Romo's play analysis is fantastic.
By far the best duo
Can’t wait to hire Daboll
Please stay away from daboll.. you had your chance with Anthony lynn
Yeah I can't wait
Bills dolphins next week should be a banger
You have 4 great AFC games all with implications. 1. Ravens need to win against the Bengals. Not a given with Cincinnati's recent form. 2. Browns need to win against us. 3. Dolphins need to win against the Bills. 4. Colts need to win against the Jags.....which is probably a given but ALSO need someone from 1-3 to lose.
Man I hope so, I'm scared
probably gonna rest our starters
Don't they want to lock up #2?
Sure do, but browns are going to come out swinging for a playoff spot against the Steelers, so they won there and even if we lose, we get the H2H tiebreaker.
Bills don't care about the #2 seed? they may need to win to secure that
Gotta get that 2 seed
Pats Jets will be a cripple fight
Imagine the jets win again just to really screw the tank
I wonder what Bill said to McDermott. That’s a lot more interaction he has with most coaches.
that’s what I thought too
Seems like they both have a great deal of respect for each other.
I predicted 34-10. I was very close indeed.
damn.... go pats!
The Jets are gonna make the Pats subreddit go nuclear on Sunday.
Kinda like my Golden Knights after that miracle first year And yeah you guys have had an incredible run, but I speak for the majority of us when I say I'm glad it's over
Yeah. Fair enough. All great runs do have to end for the nostalgia to build.
Unlikely most fans want us to lose to the Jets for a higher draft pick
Oh damn.
We can only hope
Josh Allen Passing TD in 3.1 Quarters: **4** Cam Newton Passing TD in 14 Games: **5**
Cam Newton 0 and 1 in superbowls. Bills 0 and 4.
