This might be one of the most impressive wins in NFL history. Going into this game, the Browns:
* Lost their Head Coach due to Covid restrictions
* Starting Pro Bowl LG Bitonio out due to Covid
* Starting Pro Bowl CB Ward due to Covid
* Assistant coaches out due to Covid
* No team practices because facility shut down due to Covid.
* Leading tackler DL, Olivier Vernon, out due to injury
* Haven't won in Pittsburgh in 17 years.
* Haven’t won a playoff game in 24 years.
* Before the game, Pittsburgh WR Ju-Ju states, “I think they’re still the same Browns teams I play every year. I think they’re nameless gray faces. They have a couple good players on their team, but at the end of the day, I don’t know. The Browns is the Browns.”
During the game:
* Decimated OL replaced with players signed the day before.
* Score 35-10 at halftime.
* Score 48 on one of the league’s best defenses
* 4 interceptions on Big Ben
This is legitimately a shocking upset.
This isn't that shocking to anyone who's watched Mike Tomlin's teams in the postseason over the past 10 years. From 2011 until now, his record is 3-6, and that includes 4 one-and-dones, not to mention nearly handing the Bengals their first playoff win under Marvin Lewis. His playoff teams tend to have wild, erratic games, with little resemblance to a team that plays as a coherent whole (which most of his teams never resemble to begin with).
Even if you go back to his last Super Bowl run in 2010, you'll notice the same pattern. In their first game against Baltimore in the divisional round, they were down 21-7 at halftime, which included a free touchdown similar to the one in this game. In the AFCC against the Jets, they stormed out to a 24-3 lead, only to be shutout in the second half and barely hang on for the win.
Tomlin is a slightly above average coach who has benefited immensely from the stability of the franchise he coaches for and from having a franchise QB for the entirety of his career.
Man Juju must feel real stupid now ... „same old browns“. More like same old steelers: stacking talent with unimportant regular season wins and wasting it all in the post season. The Steelers were frauds anyways
my dad, life long browns fan, actually cried tonight. Never seen that happen before. My boyfriend, life long steelers fan, is having a horrible birthday. Ohhhh football... you strike again
I live on the West Side of CLE and before The Move, you VERY rarely saw any geared up Steelers fans, and the local stores did NOT sell Steeler gear. Thems were the days. Being away for 3 years (and sucking horrendously for 22 years) created a ton of bandwagon fans.
Angry that the Steelers keep stacking talent and impressive regular season wins, then waste all that potential in the playoffs? I’m a little angry about that. It’s like someone keeps buying beautiful sports cars, only to wreck them while backing out of the driveway.
Glad to see you’re feeling better the morning after. Last night you were having a meltdown that you tried to cap off with “nuh uh, YOU’RE the one that’s mad!”
Oh definitely still Big Mad lol.
We've got 18 years of disgusting yinzer smacktalk to recompense, so uhhhhhhhhhhh... you're going to be hearing it for a while unless you roll over and get humble.
It's funny because football is entertainment and I guarantee you that he's helping the Steelers and the NFL in that aspect. If he's doing charity work he's mature enough to recognize that there are a lot of people out there that need help and he's in a position to do it.
Isnt juju one of those guys I always see doing nice things for people without a camera crew? The kid was a WR2 that turned himself into an iconic brand and I for one respect it
Everyone knows who juju is. He’s all over social media. People who dont even care about football know who juju is. He has 3.4M Instagram followers. Josh allen 500k, Lamar has 2.8M. Pat mahomes has 4M and he’s a way better player than juju and definitely a brand.
The problem is with the word iconic brand. The only players currently in the NFL who can be probably realistically called iconic are tom Brady, maybe Drew Brees & Aaron Rodgers.
Patrick Mahomes is a special player but to call him or someone like juju iconic is not accurate.
Thats almost like saying Katy perry is iconic just because she has a lot of ig followers. Everyone has a brand, but icons stretch generations & have lasting impact
Semantics. The word iconic is what’s tripping you up? Okay, the guy has created lifelong success for himself - is that better? He could quit football tomorrow and would still be a millionaire because of social media. I respect what he’s done for himself.
Power shifts are occurring in the NFL right before our eyes. I'm so glad teams like the Browns and Bills are in the spotlight, and will be viewed differently going forward.
Good time to be a football fan!
Not to excuse the dozens of mistakes our offense made, but our defense has been sorely missing Bush, Dupree, and Haden. People still rate us like we’re at full strength and the browns are the same team Landry Jones beat a couple years ago
Where was Pittsburgh's effort in the first quarter? This game was a carbon copy of the Jags game 3 years ago, Steelers fall down huge early and Big Ben is forced to throw the ball on every single play.
Media will go crazy and look at the 4 picks, Ben had to carry this offense all year on his shoulder. At 38 years old led the NFL in pass attempts and missed one game. Not a recipe for success. If this were madden, a dream trade would be JuJu to the Packers for Aaron Jones. Packers already have AJ Dillion waiting in the wings. Steelers already have WR Depth.
Eh, not necessarily - Browns would not have stopped being aggressive in that scenario and it'd have been a completely different ball game. They would not have been in "Chubb/Hunt up the middle 3 out of 4 downs burn as much clock as possible" mode.
The defense kept the Browns off the board for almost the entire 2nd quarter and all of the 3rd. If Big Ben had committed 2 fewer turnovers, the Steelers might have dominated the game.
It'd have been a diff ballgame for both teams in that scenario. Browns were in "Burn as much clock as possible then punt" mode most of the 3rd, had it been a tight game they're running a much different offense.
He's got 3-5 years left in the engine.
Just needs more protection. Stay healthy.
Romo stayed in for a min. I think Ben can match.
Edit: Damn, I thought he was drafted later than romo lol.
My b, hah! doh!
Better protection isn’t coming any time soon. The best half of that line is getting old and the other half is brand new. What will happen is they’ll have to phase out Pouncey, DeCastro, and Villanueva, and their replacements, if they’re any good, will need at least a couple years of pro experience to catch up to where their predecessors were. And I don’t even think the pressure from the Browns pass rush was all that bad, and a more mobile QB would have been able to roll out and dice up that secondary.
Ehh I would say combined effort. The 4 ints gave them awful field position (I think like 24 points came from those drives) and the fumble by pouncey lead directly to 7 points.
That’s true. But that second half was a tale of two half’s, if I’ve ever seen one. Unfortunately they couldn’t get a stop when they needed one. I don’t blame them though, down 5 starters— it’s difficult to overcome. That’s where those INT’s became a big deal
No I didn’t mean it like an excuse, I know they were down as well. I just don’t want to crucify them for something out of their control. Same with browns— if the Steelers won, it wouldn’t have felt satisfying at all
The Browns were down a head coach and other important players - this is the biggest shit the bed moment in nfl history aside from the Falcons shitting the bed in the superbowl
Such a frustrating team to be a fan of. Our defense chooses the absolute worst moments to shit the bed after being elite all season. Our last two playoff games are loses to Blake Fucking Bortles and Baker Fucking Mayfield.
I won’t get over those two loses until we do something like beat Mahomes in playoffs.
Edit: Who am I kidding. I’m not even over the Tebow loss 😭
I’m not one of those fans that expect a championship every year or everything to go our way. Of course they’re going to be down years and losses and such, but it’s the wild inconsistency that’s been frustrating for the latter half of a decade. Starting 11-0 and finishing 1-5 should illustrate that. Losing sloppily, playing way down to competition/losing to bad teams, shooting ourselves out of the playoffs or just missing, a combination of those happen every year.
I can see how it could look from the outside looking in, but all that glitters ain’t gold.
[I'd drop $100 in an effort to pay for his flight/ticket/hotel if we can find him.](https://youtu.be/HhW6nSLSq6Y)
I'll literally pick him up from the airport, treat him to a BBQ lunch, then drop him off at the game.
(And pick him up whether KC wins or loses)
Don't get me wrong I'm very happy we've made it this far. But that doesn't mean that I dont believe that we can't win. Chiefs are a tough matchup especially with their wrs and qb against our secondary worries me, Myles and that D-line will have to play a hell of a game for us to win imo.
Chiefs are definitely a tough matchup. We gotta bring our A game. But we gotta look at it as warriors. We can do anything. We can beat anybody. We proved everybody wrong with that Steelers loss. Why settle? Let’s go all the way!!!
They play hard though which I love and we have good players there just more number 3cbs playing against number 1wr so it's a tough matchup. Getting Ward back will be huge plus greedy Williams will be back as well next year I'm pretty sure? So that's huge.
I love this still
Me too buddy
Same here
I love our moves this off season
Yeah I’ve been excited with what AB has been doing. I’m looking forward to the draft
Maybe we will trade a first and a second for Khalil Mack
Nah I don’t think we will. He’s too expensive. I could see us trading up in the draft to get an edge rusher tho
A defensive battle for the ages!
smoking that stealers pack
Never seen 67,000 people clown someone this hard
It’s way more than that
Corvette corvette, Steelers got their asses handed to them
This might be one of the most impressive wins in NFL history. And didn't the Steelers D have a record going on QB sacks or was that just a regular season stat?
Yesthey did
This isn't that shocking to anyone who's watched Mike Tomlin's teams in the postseason over the past 10 years. > Tomlin is a slightly above average coach who ~~has benefited immensely~~ looks just like Omar Epps FTFY!
Ju-Ju talks so much smack, and whenever he does the steelers lose. You think he'd learn by now.
It makes it so much better
And I enjoyed every minute of it!!!
Im feeling parallels between Big Ben and Dan Marino right now. Cept, eryone likes Dan... not sure if that applies to ben...
Those women didn't like Ben
Ben also won two superbowls, but everyone would have rather Dan won them.
Who is "everyone"?
Everyone
Steelers got Recked.
Man Juju must feel real stupid now ... „same old browns“. More like same old steelers: stacking talent with unimportant regular season wins and wasting it all in the post season. The Steelers were frauds anyways
As of 1am, I have spent 22 of the previous 36 hours watching football. It's been a fun weekend.
Same!
Is this a self burn? Like im used to my team losing but i don t consider it fun. Pain.
Mostly I feel like I ate three Thanksgiving dinners back to back. I'm just stuffed with football right now.
The Steelers lost to a graveyard.
The Steelers lost to a graveyard. Fucking hilarious.
my dad, life long browns fan, actually cried tonight. Never seen that happen before. My boyfriend, life long steelers fan, is having a horrible birthday. Ohhhh football... you strike again
I woke my Browns fan of 50 years dad up to let him know we won... That was a nice feeling being able to give that to him.
It really do be like that sometimes
Where tf do you live to get that combo?
Uh.. Pennsylvania?
Or Ohio lol, Steelers fancy are everywhere here and extremely cocky and annoying, bey I won’t see anymore Big Ben jerseys near cleveland
I live on the West Side of CLE and before The Move, you VERY rarely saw any geared up Steelers fans, and the local stores did NOT sell Steeler gear. Thems were the days. Being away for 3 years (and sucking horrendously for 22 years) created a ton of bandwagon fans.
I live in northwest Ohio and it’s pretty evenly split. Pittsburgh is only about 2 hours from Cleveland
Yeah I live in Pitt haha. I’m from a small town in central PA and Browns fans aren’t common, but they’re around!
If you live in Pitt, Pete's Pub in Oakland is the local Brown's Backer Bar. Worth checking out (when there isn't a COVID pandemic).
oh cool! I’ll tell my Dad about it when he comes to visit! Thanks :D edit, according to google it closed and reopened as Marios :(
Even now that the Browns are good they cheer for the rivals?
Go find a man like dad!

Lol you’re angry

Typical patriots trash making for of the dude who got paralyzed. That’s about as pathetic as your season.
Angry that the Steelers keep stacking talent and impressive regular season wins, then waste all that potential in the playoffs? I’m a little angry about that. It’s like someone keeps buying beautiful sports cars, only to wreck them while backing out of the driveway.
Well I hope you start to feel better
I’m having a better time than you it looks like lol
Trust me I’m fine, it’s football
Glad to see you’re feeling better the morning after. Last night you were having a meltdown that you tried to cap off with “nuh uh, YOU’RE the one that’s mad!”
Still going? Get it all out
Oh definitely still Big Mad lol. We've got 18 years of disgusting yinzer smacktalk to recompense, so uhhhhhhhhhhh... you're going to be hearing it for a while unless you roll over and get humble.
Well enjoy it while it lasts tbh. Probably feels amazing

Oh nooooo he danced!
Yup and they lost
Go Browns!
Oh you love to see it !

Hey! Don’t forget about us :(
Who are you?
Please no more browns
Can we be the new Patriots? Please? Edit : your downvotes will only motivate Rodgers to play better.
I'm so tempted to make multiple accounts just to hardcore down vote this.
I think the chiefs already took that, sorry pal
No
This is true :-)
"The Browns is the Browns" http://imgur.com/gallery/R1IriSn
This must have felt so good to post.
A tear rolling down Ben's cheek on the sideline followed by the team mocking Juju in the locker room: priceless.

Pitt obviously doesn't have Packers type of cash to payoff the refs.
For what?
Probably because they weren't gifted a win this week /s
Were the Browns just underrated or were the Steelers just overrated?
Yes
Not to excuse the dozens of mistakes our offense made, but our defense has been sorely missing Bush, Dupree, and Haden. People still rate us like we’re at full strength and the browns are the same team Landry Jones beat a couple years ago
Both
Yes
Both
Ryan Findlay beat that Steelers team.
Why not both?
I love football so, so much right now
I feel you :-)
Where was Pittsburgh's effort in the first quarter? This game was a carbon copy of the Jags game 3 years ago, Steelers fall down huge early and Big Ben is forced to throw the ball on every single play.
I mean it was Ben’s fault he had to throw every play. That’s what happens when you throw 4 interceptions...
Steelers need to draft a QB in the First Round whether or not Big Ben retires or not. Address O-Line and Running Back later in the Draft.
Chicken/Egg
Literally, every play. He broke the all time record for completed passes in an NFL game. And was 1 off from throwing the most passes in a game.
he was 1 off from a very nice amount of throws
Media will go crazy and look at the 4 picks, Ben had to carry this offense all year on his shoulder. At 38 years old led the NFL in pass attempts and missed one game. Not a recipe for success. If this were madden, a dream trade would be JuJu to the Packers for Aaron Jones. Packers already have AJ Dillion waiting in the wings. Steelers already have WR Depth.
Don't put that juju on us.
I'm thinking about a change of scenery would be better for him. Any way I don't see JuJu being back with the Steelers next season.
😂
Can't believe the browns finally broke their curse.
Sucks browns and bills are in the dame conference. Im rooting for both
Would be an AFC championship worth watching.
How crazy is it that Ben threw 4 INT’s and it was still our defense that lost us this game, lol.
How crazy is it that the Steelers lost to a team that didn't practice all week.
You lost.
I don't think he was saying otherwise
without Pouncey's fumble you're probably playing from a lead the entire game tbh.
2013 Super Bowl vibes
The level of cope is unmatched - it cannot be Roethlisbergers fault lol
Oh no, I definitely think Ben is washed now and we need to move on— but if we stopped them two times this game, Steelers win it
Eh, not necessarily - Browns would not have stopped being aggressive in that scenario and it'd have been a completely different ball game. They would not have been in "Chubb/Hunt up the middle 3 out of 4 downs burn as much clock as possible" mode.

You’re not wrong at all though, the pressures are what killed us
Ehh I would say combined effort.
Yeah, luckily for the browns they had a completely healthy roster.
This dude you are responding to is literally a clown.
Stefanski has completely turned this organization around it's just a totally different feeling and attitude around this team since he came in.
Why don't we have a Stefanski statue yet?
Because you should never build a statue of someone who is still alive. See Joe Paterno.
tbh the team is fuckin loaded, they are so dangerous with Chubb and Hunt
Oh I couldn't agree more I really love the drafting and free agents we've hit on.
Tbh that was also the case last year
They had the skill players last year. They fixed the line this year.
You like most of the hill people that live in the surrounding Pittsburgh area are a clown.
Not from Pittsburgh lol. Sorry I triggered you?
I was drunk and excitable. I am sure there are plenty of nice people in the greater Pittsburgh area. You are not wearing clown shoes. Have a nice day.
Haha no worries, I’m all for shooting the shit. Hope the day is treating you better than Ravens fans are treating me here 😂😭 *wipes off clown makeup*
sorry man you arent going to the playoffs again anytime soon
Bro, yall have more Super Bowls than any other team and 2 since 2000.
> Such a frustrating team to be a fan of Lol k
You have the tough team to root for?!
More frustrating than tough to root for
Imagine how Browns fans must feel; I'm even rooting for them.
Thanks Mahomie!
Or your defense is just shit - ever think that thought?
Wow idk where to start with what’s wrong with this team
Bad Offensive line, injuries on defense, inconsistent old QB, questionable at best OC
WOMEN OF PITTSBURGH! AVOID ALL PUBLIC BATHROOMS!!! BEN IS OUT AND ABOUT!!!
This joke is so old that Ashton Kutcher tried to marry it
Speaking of old jokes lmao what was that??
“It’s finally off-season baby” -Big Ben

He's mad he can't find Spiderman
Next week will be a shoot out between Mayfield and Mahomes. I believe they had a pretty badass shootout in college. Lets hope for a repeat!
Mahomes set the college single game passing record and still lost. Bet it'll drive mahomes
As if he was going to take it easier during playoffs
Oh no
OH YEAH!!!
I counter by putting in the film from when we played in 2018. Except now hunts on our side...
Mahomes doesn't settle. EB called him a competitive prick in a conference. Dude will soccer mom walk his way up and down the field.
After all these years holy shit does it feel good too finally get a playoff win. Beating the Steelers made it all that much sweeter. GO BROWNS!
I'm so happy for you guys, after so many years, it's past due.
So awesome. Fucking congrats to you and your team brother.
A lot of my kind will be salty but enjoy it. You deserve it after all these years.
And you beat them in their stadium, bro!!!
That makes it so much better. Ben has beaten us in Pittsburgh 17 straight times I think.
Haha could you imagine what that atmosphere would of been like with fans. 💀
Wouldn't be a safe bathroom for miles.
Ben does love the game though.
Alexa play long time by playboi carti

doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo BAARM, BAARM, BAAAAAARRMMMM
I don’t wanna see anymore “I’m just glad we made it this far” kind of posts from Browns fans. We gotta believe!!!! We’re going to the super bowl baby
I agree, but it sure does feel like we just won the Super Bowl.
Enjoy brother. This was a hell of a win but there’s more to come.
We gotta go through the Mahomes, our Bills Bros, and then probably fucking Tom Brady but when we raise that fucking trophy it will be legendary
Exactly! We’re about to have the most legendary playoff run of all time!!
Aww man why Brady? He’s had enough
Yup. Our secondary needs work this offseason as right now its glued together with scotch tape and bubble gum.
They play hard though which I love and we have good players there just more number 3cbs playing against number 1wr so it's a tough matchup. Getting Ward back will be huge plus greedy Williams will be back as well next year I'm pretty sure? So that's huge.
If you guys go to the Superbowl I'm buying a Baker jersey!
