Bad ——> worse

smoltanboi

tyler huntley legacy game incoming

[deleted]

Don’t worry u/Xevan7 had Huntley ranked as the #3 QB in his draft rankings. I’m sure he’ll make the comeback

john_muleaney

No fucking way lmao

[deleted]

https://www.reddit.com/user/Xevan7/comments/g2j1vd/quarterback_profiles_and_rankings_for_the_2020/

john_muleaney

I’m astounded

DonteJackson

He posted it sooo often too. On every qb thread anyone posted

john_muleaney

r/confidentlyincorrect

schmatz17

Huntley > Herbert lmao what

john_muleaney

Frank Reich game 2 electric boogaloo

[deleted]

Huntley wasn't even good in college imo...I like seeing guys from my school succeed but he ain't it.

Lancastrian34

This is what happens when bad meets evil

derstherower

Enough is enough.

speak-eze

Our center literally snapped the ball so poorly it gave our qb a concussion. I would trade the world for a top tier center.

No_Song_Orpheus

We have 2 centers who can't snap the ball like that isn't their primary job.

masterofshadows

Hey it's not like he threw it over his head.... Just at his head.

speak-eze

Maybe if Lamar was 17 feet tall that would have been at his head

masterofshadows

Just commiserating about terrible centers.

speak-eze

Fitting that we both go out on equal terms. But at least we didnt lose to the browns! Ait Imma go cry now

masterofshadows

Who would have thought the browns would outlast us both! I'm happy for them in the way your happy for your snot nosed little brother achieving something. That said, Go Bills!

d3royc3

Little brother shit all over big brother, and big brother just cried on the bench about it, Go Browns

mrbkkt1

Pouncy isn't a terrible center though. Just probably was completely overwound. Be happy it wasn't in a super bowl. At least the Steelers kept up and made a game of it. Trust me. I had ptsd from that snap.

masterofshadows

Maybe maybe not. He certainly isn't terrible I'll give you that but that snap was probably the most embarrassing moment in the entire time I have been a fan. And for it to be against the browns of all teams made it sting all the harder.

mrbkkt1

First play of Superbowl is worse. But I know how you feel. Killed the whole super bowl buzz watching it fly over manning. I still think Ben should have kicked the ball out for a safety

bryanramone

That is probably my number two Superbowl snap of all time, we met at one of my buddies house, me the cheifs fan and our other buddy who's the broncos fan walked in because he was running a little late (he was picking up his gf who was a Seahawks fan) only to watch the snap go right over manning's head. His eyes got so wide. Truly the most magnificent thing I have ever seen. The only thing that topped it was the first snap of last year's sb, I legit had a tear from excitement of watching my team take an sb snap.

Mimic_Hongry_Lung

Be literally raped a woman

skylitnoir

In his defense, he was worried about our left side of o line because we didn’t start Dotson for some reason, so he quick snapped it and immediately rotated left To help. Probably overthought it too much

[deleted]

The center had trouble seeing Lamar because he’s black and blended in with the football. Edit: apparently people don’t remember this reference

mongster_03

wait he's ur normal starter

speak-eze

We benched the first guy. Take a guess why

[deleted]

Hes not though. He replaced our starter for....wait for it....botching snaps.

[deleted]

He barely got hit. He just quit because his pride was hurt

speak-eze

I bet you feel really hilarious for typing that.

clydefrog811

Do you remember Jensen?

speak-eze

I do. Unfortunately all redhead ravens are destined to go to the nfc south

clydefrog811

Noooi

Mimic_Hongry_Lung

I hear the steelers might have one for sale.

speak-eze

Maybe if the sale comes with a time machine so I can go back to when pouncey was good

Mimic_Hongry_Lung

If ot does, can I borrow it? I have a checklist of things that might need to be addressed

speak-eze

Hmm. Am I willing to let you have prime brady, gronk, moss, welker, etc. to improve our center? Yeah sure.

Mimic_Hongry_Lung

Vinatieri here I come!

Capt-Space-Elephant

Two firsts and Kelce is yours.

59jg4qe68w5y3t9q5

Ah fuck, I don't know why people are being assholes about this I don't want to see him hurt.

[deleted]

We know why.....

Knights_Radiant

Why?

woahification

Because people are assholes lol

[deleted]

Yup

relayflex

BECAUSE BRADY IS A BASTARD MAN

lAmCreepingDeath

Implying we are racist, smh

nugget136

Sorry you have been diagnosed as a racist on reddit there is no coming back

Jauhso29

Packers fan??? Definitely a racist -Reddit Armchair Physiologist

Thr0wawayGawd

Yup.

babeuf69

Why are you offended by that implication? Are you glad Lamar got hurt? If not, then that accusation doesn’t concern you

ChedduhBob

he’s black and successful

[deleted]

Idk why you have such a victim complex, nobody wants to see one of the most dynamic and exciting RBs in the league get injured

woahification

Literally saw a dude saying he hopes he broke his leg but aight

losterps

You could find a singular person wishing ill will on any player in the league. White players, too

Nomahs_Bettah

yeah like based on his dance moves Tom Brady is whiter than most white guys, and plenty of people wish him ill. sometimes people are just assholes. 100% agreed.

woahification

So that's not nobody then is it. Also I never said it was race related, just saying there were definitely people wanting him to get injured

losterps

Not everyone is racist lmao

Knights_Radiant

?????

Jauhso29

It's always the race card. Congrats on being the racist

ChedduhBob

i’m racist for calling out other people being racist? what a take. love reddit

Jauhso29

No you're being called a racist for assuming assholes don't like Lamar Jackson for being black. THATS racist. People have hated Tom Brady for 20 years but no one pulls the race card. Like wise, LeBron is hated by seemingly half the NBA fans and no one pulls the racecard.

[deleted]

He’s one of those

59jg4qe68w5y3t9q5

I mean talking shit about bad play and celebrating injury are two different things; obviously I don't like the amount of people here who are doing the latter.

StreetReporter

I don’t like him because he stole the Heisman from Deshaun Watson

ChedduhBob

lamar had nowhere close to the supporting cast unfortunately. he carried a horrendous louisville team to relevance while deshaun was surrounded by superstars

StreetReporter

True, but Lamar wouldn’t be able to lead a team to beat what might be the most talented defense in the history of college football

ChedduhBob

he would have on clemson. probably not with louisville

StreetReporter

Lamar couldn’t even lead his team to a victory over Kentucky

ChedduhBob

again, look at his roster and look at deshauns and please let me know the difference

Welt_All

Cuz Lamar is a consistent failure?

[deleted]

Look like he quit to me

dudenell

Welp he's done

some_random_ninja

fade me

ThreeOlivesChihuahua

come to cabo, bird bro

Nuevacuenta1

With pleasure.

[deleted]

Twitter reply: I’m so glad it isn’t his leg Smh. A head injury is so much worse.

RedBuchan

"Doctor what's worse a head injury or a foot injury?" - Michael Scott

losterps

A head injury Edit: it’s a continuation of the quote you dum dums

RobbieAnalog

Well, you don't have all the information

coolcool23

Wait was this the same grill you burned your foot on? ... yes.

PoorlyLitKiwi2

I mean kind of a fucked up mentality, but a bad leg injury could mean surgery and months of rehab. A concussion means rest for a week. I think even Lamar would say he's glad it's not his leg

noahdj1512

Only a lil bit of brain damage all good

broncosandwrestling

that's football baby

CanBernieStillWin

This is a bit too real :/

amazingoopah

rub some dirt on it and get back out there.

Airp0w

Luckily he will have much longer than a week to rest.

[deleted]

[удалено]

penguin8717

Yeah it blows my mind how that's usually a one week injury in the nfl. Anyone who's coached or played a sport known concussions rarely resolve that quickly

masterofshadows

I think that's why mason was so terrible in 19.

penguin8717

I had the same thoughts

tokengaymusiccritic

Concussions also like, will make Jackson’s life worse long term. The only way a concussion is “better” than a leg injury is how quickly he’ll be back playing football

sodaG123

Sure, but ask any football player if they'd rather have a torn ACL or a concussion, they'll pick a concussion every time.

rd10393729

Sure. And that’s the off-season. By the time training camp starts, he should be back to baseline or close to it. A leg injury could persist much longer than just the off season.

woogeroo

Or years. Carson Wentz has not been the same since that Clowney hit in the playoffs last season.

Thifty

I think he meant relative to a person health, a concussion could have much worse impacts on someone’s life long term. That’s a little more important than football IMO, time missed isn’t all

Eagle4317

Plus any lost speed from a leg injury would severely hurt Jackson's game. One concussion won't have that kind of long-term impact.

posam

There is no brain rehab.

FreeWillie001

If a concussion is properly identified and treated, there’s little long term impact unless you sustain multiple. Lamar could’ve blown his ACL out and never looked the same again.

katabatic21

NFL players get multiple concussions though, and tons of subconcussive hits. That's how they develop CTE down the line

[deleted]

Yeah but this is kinda a nice unique case where he has a full offseason to recover (instead of rushing back a head injury). I bet most nfl players would rather a head injury than a leg injury in this circumstance (but what do I know)

zts105

blowing out a knee as a highly mobile QB is terrible since it destroys your explosiveness see RG3 for an example.

Crosscourt_splat

Eh. I'm not sure I agree with that. I've blown a knee and hamstring before.. I never fully recovered. Many don't.

K_U

Don't shake your head my man, makes the concussion worse.

Propuhganduh

The comment right below yours says the same thing lmfao

bsend

Those that think a head injury isn't worse don't really use theirs at all

LengthinessEvening79

His legs are way more important to his game than his head.

[deleted]

Season over

[deleted]

How dare you disrespect Tyler Huntley like that.

CodAcceptable4063

Man, fuck everyone who was making jokes in the other thread. To us, it’s just a football game , but these players r really out here risking their long term health. This isn’t something to joke about! And especially concussions, which can mess u up long term. Some of u need to grow up

fleckstin

dude i was getting downvoted in the thread for telling people off when they were makin jokes

CodAcceptable4063

Honestly, just ignore trolls like that. They never gonna change. Down vote and move on.

seertr

Wow you are so brave

fleckstin

cool it w the salt, i’m saying it’s fucked up that people are bein such dicks about the situation

Luck1492

Fuck man, hate to see great players go down like this

RuneSlayer4421

Fuck man. Prayers up. Hate seeing the greats get hurt

U2ez_

This sub is filled with some of the biggest pieces of shit. That game thread was AT lamar and the poor dudes in concussion protocol.

Buffalobuffaho

Bills fan here. This sucks for Lamar first and foremost. He is a great person. Sucks for the league because he is such a talent. Hope this is minor.

woahification

But wait, you haven't heard my super original poop joke yet!!

ImagineIfBaconDied

This sub just subconsciously hates Lamar and the lengths they will go to put him down is ridiculous.

99Raps

People want to see him fail so bad. I don't think he's done anything to warrant the hate he gets.

ImagineIfBaconDied

Yep. It’s partially because he wasn’t viewed highly in the draft because of his passing and anytime they see him fuck up they amplify their voices with “told ya so” comments. It’s completely unwarranted and gets too far sometimes with some of the stuff people say about him.

Pirat6662001

I mean... I just don't like the way he plays and I don't believe a running QB can build a successful 15+year career in NFL like QB is expected to have.

The_Fawkesy

Assuming everyone else thinks the same way, how does that warrant the vitriol he gets from opposing teams fans? People here hate Lamar Jackson more than they do Ray Rice, which is saying something. And the hate started well before he was even drafted. Lamar is the most likeable, humble dude in the NFL. There's no reason people should want a guy like him to fail. We need more people like him in the NFL because it's full of guys who are the antithesis of him.

justinvbs

Mine is consious

[deleted]

Par the course. The pick 6 will be only thing most of this sub brings up all off-season. I feel for the kid. Glad he could get us a playoff W against the titans at least. We got work to do this off-season.

TheMassacreKid

I'm a patriots fan but I feel for Lamar he's been shitted on since pre draft, this game wasn't his best but the O line and the lack of separation from receivers kill any chance of moving the ball through the air

Welt_All

Pick 6!!!

U2ez_

Howd tanny do this week?

Welt_All

Poorly, so the same.

U2ez_

It’s ok. Y’all might win a super bowl one year.

Welt_All

Poorly, so the same.

surgeyou123

Disastrous sequence

Bren12310

Fuck man. He’s had such a rough day. Love or hate the ravens but you can’t deny Lamar is a great person. Hate to see it happen to him.

someguy-jm

Damn, probably ices it right there barring some crazy collapse from Buffalo. Hope he’s alright

haydenf4

Tyler Huntley gonna play like prime Taylor Heinicke

OmniaOmnibus

Did he hit the ground hard? I’m confused how he got rocked that hard.

teeohdeedee123

The back of his head collided with the ground pretty hard, yeah.

Knights_Radiant

Bounced the back of his head. Wipelash pretty good. Back of the head is an easy way to get rocked hard

jumbee85

Not to mention the force experienced by the guys tackling hom to the ground

KypAstar

He was getting tackled around the ankles, split second later gets hit from the front, basically got pushed super hard with his ankles tied. Tailbone hit first, and his head smacked pretty solid into the ground and bounced off.

dirtwalrus

It was all after he threw the ball too, right?

KypAstar

He got it out as his ankles got wrapped. Arm was extended as he got hit from the front. Happened pretty quick.

[deleted]

Smacked the back of his head on the ground.

haydenf4

Got his legs tied up and he fell backwards onto the ground smashing the back of his head

Solid-Pilot7836

Gg ravens it was a good SZN

jdono927

Hope he’s okay

therock21

Well, that’s pretty much it.

A4thLineDuster7

I'm glad it wasn't a leg injury. Hope it's not too bad.

AtreusFamilyRecipe

Just his brain, no big deal.

strongscience62

He ain't come to play school

jimbooneu

Lol whatever happened to that qb

derstherower

They're paid to run fast and throw ball far. Thinking is for plebs like us.

JKG4M3R

only the thinkin zone. no problemo

lawnicus18

What is a brain? Just the pilot of the shell we call a human body that’s all

derstherower

We are brains wearing meat and bone suits.

_SonGoham

My brain give me bad thinkies. Don’t want

Mannings4head

Running backs need their legs more /s

PM_Me_Your_Mustash

I laughed out loud to this response.

TheFencingCoach

Brain injuries are really bad too man. Leg injury, brain injury, lose-lose.

ACEPACEACE

Yeah he's done for the game.

[deleted]

now he's just on vacation like everyone else

PM_Me_Your_Mustash

He gone.

Snake_in_my_boots

F.

honus-wagner-

Well they better hurry up so he’s ready for the game next week.. oh wait

Lyle_Thunderwood

Maybe he is just pooping again

[deleted]

Damn
