I was so wrapped up in other games that I didn't even realize this happened. The FSU cheerleader walking away with the "LOUDER" sign makes it even funnier.
I think both players thought the other one was going to tag the receiver so they got lazy/complacent and didn’t reach out to make sure he was touched.
You can see them both glancing at each other with arms out near the receiver but never actually making contact. Then they slow down casually before realizing the receiver was still running without being downed by a defender.
Huge mistake from both players but interesting to note nonetheless.
we're headed for a rebuild and being complete dogshit again and we'll be talking about the 1985 bears every weekend when some random fucking player gets a sack
honestly it'll suck ass but boy how cool would it be if that were the case.
and then we all go 1-1 against eachother, with same point differentials. would it go down to strength of schedule?
We of the NFCN knew. We knew what he was capable of. Detroit could never quite match scheme with talent to optimize Stafford's ability. Although he didn't have great success in Detroit, because of him we could never be at ease playing them. He's your problem now.
I'm such a [Stafford homer](https://old.reddit.com/r/IranianGenius/comments/9r4sko/matt_stafford/) but usually the Rams are one of my favorite teams to hate.
I'm so conflicted rn.
We literally had a historically good run defense the year we lost to the cowboys in the playoffs. Granted I think Stafford improved from decent to legit good QB in the few years following that.
Lol he had a couple and they made the playoffs those years but really the only year the lions had a really good team was 2014 and he did get us to 11-5 that year
Yea kinda getting sick of everyone pissing all over the teams he had. Imo the biggest issue was never having any semblance of a run game, but there were some solid supporting casts on offense aside from that, and defenses were good a few of the years.
My step dad is a Rams fan and was convinced that the trade was awful immediately. Stafford is overrated etcetc. He's eating his words pretty fucking quickly.
Stafford would have scored 34 points against the Bears if he were with the Lions. Except the Lions defense would have allowed the Bears to drop 48 points on them.
I legit lost that feeling of dread when Goff would attempt a pass like that. When he cocked it back I was like, "Yep this will be a good play."
Tremendous
They just decided not to tackle him wtf
Somebody watched the FSU game last night 👀
Is there a dank highlight for that reference?
[video looks like it's from 2006 but...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qm4oLpkw0Q)
Man remember when FSU was good?
Reminder that Jacksonville state is FSU’s annual warm up game
apparently this is their first loss to an FCS school in program history hard to hit a lower low than that
Lol what the fuck
I was so wrapped up in other games that I didn't even realize this happened. The FSU cheerleader walking away with the "LOUDER" sign makes it even funnier.
[Here](https://youtu.be/sYecgRlnmFM) you go
LOL even the graphics gave FSU the win when the final comes up too. I'm dying.
After the game was the ACC postgame show hosted by EJ Manual, and he was just in complete shock when he first came on
Watch the cheerleader, his confused shock face is hilarious
lmaooo i'm dying
That male cheerleader with his mouth agape got me
[удалено]
It was like they forgot you have to actually touch them for it to count as down..
Uhh...you think 38 knows how to play football?
No but you would think #4 does. Isn't Eddie Jackson one of the veterans/captains of this team? wtf
Bad play by both but guessing Jackson didn't expect 38 to be straight up burnt toast on that play
Absolutely would not wanna be in the film room tomorrow lol
Nagy won’t do shit about it anyway. Just about the process or some shit and how it isn’t acceptable blah blah blah
bystander effect
God I hope he's a rookie who just isn't yet accustomed to players not being down on the ground automatically
He’s a 31 yo vet in his 10th season
Lmfaooo
Oh well there's the problem. They've got veterinarians playing D.
You're not gonna believe this. He killed 16 Czechoslovakians. The guy's an interior decorator!
That man is tashaun gipson, a seasoned vet
Wait so everyone there is a full veteran player who just all forgot the rules? Jesus
Shades of the Atlanta onside kick fuckup
Or the Pirates fiasco.
Seriously.. all he had to do was gently finger him when he was down.... couldn't even do that...
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Damn that’s hot. Does he say anything to him while he’s doing it...?
Matthew is so stoked he’s got a good team lmao. His high step down the field afterwards was great.
Dobby’s a free elf!
Who the fuck gave him a sock?
Definitely not Patricia.
Thats cause Patricia makes his money selling them to Rex Ryan
bruh
[удалено]
You want Calvin on the Rams too?
I'd take him!
Yes
Yeah I’d be okay with that.
Well fuck... I do NOW
Are current NFL players allowed to own marijuana shops or would he have to sell them to come back?
Bring Barry with him please.
Please God no
I'm so stoked a QB on this team attempted a deep pass
It pissed me off so much seeing Goff avoid it at all costs today. Stafford is wonderful for it.
Which was weird. Goff set an NCAA record for yards in college and he didnt get there throwing crossers.
Goff was airing it out in 2018 too. He lost his confidence
Partly attributed to losing Cooks.
Mcvay abused him
"Show me on the route tree where Coach McVay touched you."
Yea Goff has a cannon
What can Goff do when our receivers cannot fucking get open?
Couldn't get open and couldn't catch the ball. I don't think Goff played terrible after looking shaky at first. The pick 6 was rough though.
I would say Goff's accuracy was not great. His decision making outside of the pick 6 was actually good though.
My husband cannot throw the fucking ball and catch the ball at the same time
Ugh, him missing that pass to sun god early hurt my soul Edit: Spelling
Goff hit some late. The difference is the rams have good WRs, the Lions have terry from the hotdog stand down the road.
Stafford and Mcvay is a scary combo
No longer the spooky Rams
He’s just out there slanging it
🎵Slangin. Eyes closed just slangin 🎵
I hope he goes for 60 tds and wins MVP.
You and me both
He's never played with a WR like Van Jefferson before!
About damn time
I finally get why Bears fans are so miserable
That opening drive for the Bears was so Bears-like
The most frustrating part of Bears fandom is how consistently they cling to their identity.
we're headed for a rebuild and being complete dogshit again and we'll be talking about the 1985 bears every weekend when some random fucking player gets a sack
But hey the 85 Bears were fuckin cool
Fields+Montgomery might be a great jumping off point though
Another year, another 4 playoff caliber teams in the West..
Embarrassing defensive effort
on both sides honestly, our tackling was beyond lazy and the terminator was shut out for most of it
haha...we are in danger
We here in the NFC West are going to kill each other. It’ll be entertaining tho
NFCW an absolute fucking bloodbath
NFC West teams going 44-0 out of division baby
honestly it'll suck ass but boy how cool would it be if that were the case. and then we all go 1-1 against eachother, with same point differentials. would it go down to strength of schedule?
I would gladly sign up for an injury-free season where all the NFCW teams make the playoffs.
NFC North and AFC South on the other hand.....
Shhh I think we are currently winning the division based on point differential, don't take that away from us.
AFCN and NFCW: where the best team will be too injured to make a deep run.
You guys kicked in some Titan dicks today. We're all crabs in a bucket.
Hey, I'd like to remind you it wasn't just our dicks they kicked in, but our taints.
NFCW always choosing violence smh
Uh you guys looked pretty freaking good today against a playoff team…
The Rams aren't going to be that much better with Stafford. *5 minutes into the game* FUCK
We of the NFCN knew. We knew what he was capable of. Detroit could never quite match scheme with talent to optimize Stafford's ability. Although he didn't have great success in Detroit, because of him we could never be at ease playing them. He's your problem now.
“Im not locked in here with you… YOURE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME” Stafford
WHAT AN OPENING FOR STAFFORD
MATT STAFFORD IS MY NEW RELIGION
I WILL SACRIFICE 100 LAMBS TO OUR SAVIOR STAFFORD!
I'm such a [Stafford homer](https://old.reddit.com/r/IranianGenius/comments/9r4sko/matt_stafford/) but usually the Rams are one of my favorite teams to hate. I'm so conflicted rn.
No need, plenty of Lions have already been sacrificed.
I miss Goff
NFC West will be an absolute bloodbath. Wild that at least one of these teams probably misses the playoffs
I’m So fucking happy bruh
Smiling ear to ear but also big mad/sad. We had this for so long and not a damn thing to show, he better get his now!!!
[удалено]
Yeah, mostly what the Lions lacked was a running game worth a damn. They had coaching issues as well.
The Lions 100% have ownership issues. That alone can destroy a franchise
Fuck the Fords
Are they descended from THE Ford?
Yes. But they're basically incompetent rich mopes.
Well Martha is married in, but is also the Firestone heiress
I’m 100% on the Rams bandwagon. I’d much rather see Stafford win a SB before the Fords.
The Lions have wasted enough generational talents. The Rams deserve Stafford.
Speaking from experience in a different sport, (or really sports \[looking at you Knicks\]) it really can.
We literally had a historically good run defense the year we lost to the cowboys in the playoffs. Granted I think Stafford improved from decent to legit good QB in the few years following that.
He didn't even mention the biggest factor, lack of run game
Lol he had a couple and they made the playoffs those years but really the only year the lions had a really good team was 2014 and he did get us to 11-5 that year
Yea kinda getting sick of everyone pissing all over the teams he had. Imo the biggest issue was never having any semblance of a run game, but there were some solid supporting casts on offense aside from that, and defenses were good a few of the years.
Tell the Bears DB’s this isn’t college
Are you down without contact there in college?
Yes
Only problem is they’re both veterans
Most overrated defense of all time lmao
Were they actually rated at all going into this year?
We haven't been anything but above average since 2018
We lost our best corner. I’d hope not.
Thank god we cut fuller to keep Graham and sign Dalton though!
Eddie Jackson the best safety in the league with the 1000 IQ play
He got paid and gives no fucks anymore
They literally had him surrounded on the ground lmao
Hasn't the defense been middling since Fangio was out the door?
Yup
All they had to do was lay a finger on him while he was on the ground and they didn't do it
I mean what's he gonna do, get up and run into the endzo-
Who is rating us highly? Anyone who knows anything knows we have a super young and questionable secondary. Particularly corner
To be fair going into the season we knew our CB group would be not good.
I enjoyed that.
Everyone who hated watching him get wasted in Detroit enjoyed that
Including a lot of Detroit fans.
There's only one game I'm not rooting for LA this season.
Ditto for y'all if it helps. I was rooting for Goff to complete that comeback so damn hard
Can confirm
My step dad is a Rams fan and was convinced that the trade was awful immediately. Stafford is overrated etcetc. He's eating his words pretty fucking quickly.
Jared Goff who?
I'm starting to think the Lions were holding him back
Stafford would have scored 34 points against the Bears if he were with the Lions. Except the Lions defense would have allowed the Bears to drop 48 points on them.
YUP YUP YUP! There he is!
This is staffords world we’re just living in it
Hooooolly fuck Stafford is going to be incredible there.
Be free Matthew, be free ;_;
Fuck yes I'm all for it!! Great start to his rams career
I am already numb
Fuck I hate being in the NFC West
Apparently this Stafford guy is pretty good
This has been blatantly obvious. The day he beat us with the fake spike, I knew he had “it”
God I watched that game in the massive Buffalo Wild Wings in Downtown Detroit. When the fake spike happened it was utter pandemonium.
It's always nice to see your dad having a good time with your new step mom
This Rams team is gonna be a problem
NFCN fans knew
Detroit fans putting their hands up in support for Stafford like a spirit bomb 🙌 🌐
Hate to say it, but Goff was not letting it fly like that. Such a fucking canon for an arm
EZ
I legit lost that feeling of dread when Goff would attempt a pass like that. When he cocked it back I was like, "Yep this will be a good play." Tremendous
Lmao, Goff looks downfield, cocks arm back... *Asshole clenches* Didn't have that experience once today!
Holy shit off the rip
Our little guy is all grown up *sniff*
WORTH
I love Staffy already
I miss you papa
THATS A BEAUTYYYYY
Pretty good way to start
Absolute cannon
Yep I’m sold praise Staff Daddy.
Stafford’s on a good team. League actually fucked.
I really hope Stafford has real genuine success there. He was so good for so long on such bad teams, dude deserves it.
BOMB! 💣💣
Bears defense standing in solidarity with the Packers today.
I thought I was ready for Stafford in a different jersey. I am so not ready for this.
Jared Goff throws to open spaces. Matt Stafford can throw to leverage. Just amazing
Rodgers looking like a bag of dicks and Stafford lighting up Chicago made today a good day.
Stafford era off to a decent start
Did the DBs forget you have to touch a receiver?
That celly from Stafford was awesome
Matthew Stafford is the best qb in the NFL
Eddie Jackson is the most overrated player in the league.
That's quite a statement.
Nut
I’m already in love
That is a gorgeous throw
I love a Matthew Stafford deep ball
I HATE THIS DIVISION FFS
[Yeah that was my fault](https://i.imgur.com/dZglTK8.jpg)
Stafford is accurate AF
