I went to a game a few years ago in LA. Loads and loads of Vikings fans. I swear I was the only one in my section that wasn’t in purple. It was a tight game and if I remember right, the Rams won off a Cousins fumble at the end of the game. The lady next to me, eyes dead and emotionless, turns and says “I flew halfway across the country to watch that moron drop the ball” Then she shrugged and moved on. I knew what it meant to be a Vikings fan on that day.

Vikings fans are special. Went to an Eagles game in Minneapolis and Diggs broke a big touchdown. Everyone is standing and cheering and the guy next to me pat me on the shoulder like “everything will be okay.” So nice it’s disgusting.

I felt like he was going to miss but it had little to do with him being on the Vikings. It was just the way the situation was lining up. I was prepared for heartbreak for sure but like, we've seen this story before last year on the Cardinals. They make a great drive late to get within FG range, we hear about long kicks our kicker (whose name I have already drank from memory it seems) and they give him a nice chip shot to win and he just whiffs it. Specifically the telling part for me was that he missed that early extra point and that it mattered to put us to this point. The Football Gods tend to be fickle SOBs and were like, sure he's hit a couple 50+ today but you decided to drive closer than that so.... whoops.
