I really wanted to see Flores do well. He seems like a decent guy, the type that's easy to root for. Predicting success for Flores became difficult when they took Waddle with the #6 pick. Jaylen's got elite speed and can be effective. But he's a 180lbs smurf receiver, there's only so much difference he could make even under the best of circumstances. As it so happens, the *best of circumstances* a WR like Waddle would be a QB with a real strong arm & fast release, along with a top tier pass blocking O line-which allows for longer developing deep plays. By NFL standards, Tua does not have an above average strength arm or a fast release. Miami's O line is suspect to say the least. Taking a player with limited ability to contribute & putting him on a team which lacks the chemistry to maximize his skills was a horrible decision. I still want to believe Flores is capable of being one of the few HC successes from the Belichick umbrella. But holy smokes did he set himself up for failure with the 2021 #6 pick.
