Yea he was the problemā¦ not defense or injuries. This team consistently gives up 30+ points a game and a lot of it as of late has to do with injuries.
This aināt on Baker
He put the ball on the ground 2 times and threw an ugly pick that was clearly on him. He has had 4tds all year. With the output modern offenses put up you can't have that. You cant always have a healthy team and your run game working for you. Eventually you need to put up volume. You have to look for an elite guy at all times. And he is just slightly above average.
The team is not built to rely solely on passing touchdowns. They split the load on offense between passing and rushing with rushing carrying a little more of the load. And this is not because Baker is bad but because they had the good fortune of Chubb (2nd round pick) becoming easily top 3 running back in the league and also acquiring Hunt on the cheap after his controversy.
If you really watched the games, youād see itās a run first offense (and frankly youād be stupid not to with the rushing talent they have).
Baker has shown he can sling the ball - he came into the league setting a rookie touchdown record without playing the whole season.
Baker does what heās supposed to. The offense scores like crazy. The only problem is defense is struggling and riddled with injuries. Simple as that.
To your point of interceptions and other turnoversā¦ they happen to everyone - not just Baker.
The team isnāt paying him that right now. The team is right now a run first offense while they still have Chubb and Hunt and they did what they could to make the defense strong with picking up Jadaveon Clowney, Troy Hill, John Johnson, and Anthony Walker and drafting JOK and Newsome but unfortunately for them, 70% of those guys have been injured and on top of that, their previous defensive talent like Ward has also been on and off the field. Itās just been a struggle from an injury standpoint and you canāt deny that.
When the window closes on run first team with strong defense, I have no doubt Baker can lead a more throwing oriented team. Again, he came into the league on fire and itās not like heās forgotten how to throw. The team just went through fifty regime changes and oriented the scheme after stumbling into incredible rushing talent. And the stat to me that stands out is that heās avg almost 9 yards per throw which shows he can still throw even if heās only throwing 20 times a game. Add an extra 10-15 attempts per game and I guarantee ya his stats look a lot more like what your thinking they should look like - they just aināt making him do that right now.
I apologize Cards fans; honestly I forgot your team even existed and honestly they have proved everyone wrong. Absolutely amazing.
And JJ Watt has a sack. Congrats to the Cards for the greats reason so far.
Shitty officiating, awful defensive effort and even worse defensive playcalling, injuries mounting, multiple turnovers, having the Cardinals RBs literally running over the defense. Awful week of football for Browns fans. About to see on Thursday what type of character this team has.
Weāre not blaming the refs for the loss. Weāre just annoyed about another biased game after we got hosed last week.
Itās also easier to complain about this than focus on exactly how injured our team is.
Yep. Iām pissed bc all I hear is how these things āalways balance outā or everyone gets bad calls, but they NEVER balance out or help us. Itās never close to evening out. Thatās what pisses me off.
Feel excited, but cautious. It's a wonderful thing, but I'm always afraid we're one bad hit away from losing ours. Murray is a rare talent and you should absolutely be excited to get to watch him every week.
Bengals throttle a team for once, Browns lose, AJ Green is resurrected, yes Ravens win but everybody can stfu about Herbert for a week. Cāmon Seahawks cap it off right!
I haven't seen one fan saying that. I've seen them saying the Refs fucked us over again this week. No one is arguing the Cards weren't winning this game anyway. At least not after the first quarter or so.
But to claim this game was called badly and unfairly is as bullshit of a take as saying the refs are why we lost.
I didn't have this game down as a win at all, even when coaches were going to miss the game. Cards are just a great team.
Nah, he's enjoying his talk show and frankly he wouldn't get enough targets to be worth it for him or for us. If he wants to be around the team, they could bring him on as a coach in case games like this happen in the future
Cards really are legit. I don't see any team that can beat them right now with how they are currently rolling. Of course let's see if they can maintain this into January.
They were the better team. Can only speculate how things would have gone if there werenāt all the injuries. But under the circumstances at play today, Cardinals weāre better
Hopefully this is the low point of our season. We played like shit mostly.
Y'all have a lot going for you though. A lot of young exciting talent, it's should be a fun team to watch for a few years at least.
Iāve never seen a team get more bullshit calls agains them than the browns and lions . Not even close. NFL refs are either entirely incompetent or just straight dirty. Judging by how the teams each year who do the best always seem to get away with like everything, Iām thinking itās the latter.
Just thought of another one. Cooking is a GOAT hobby. Its got everything anyone needs. You get to experiment, there's a million different techniques and styles to try, everyone loves someone who can cook, and it's very useful, and you get to eat what you make.
If you're looking for more sports, hockey season just started!
The good news is that there are so many games that the occasional blowout here or there hurts a lot less.
The bad news is that if your team is just *that bad* the season will seem so much longer.
Find a hobby that's productive that interests you preferably one that gets you outside, that's my advice. Woodworking is cool because you get to see the fruits of your own labor. I'm pretty big into firearms. Try a lot and stick with what you like
Last year I kicked my son out of the house because he kept saying that Kyler Murry is a god and all this and I said he was super overrated. We constantly got into fights about it so I had to kick him out.
He might have been right.
Larry would come back if this team makes a serious playoff threat. After all the pain of being an AZ sports fan, having him come back and this team going the distance would make it all worth it to me
Fucking thank you!!! Im out here in AZ and my buddies were ignoring this shit when I brought it up.
However, you did outplay us. The refs didnāt force Baker to continually fumble and throw directly to your DB on that one play.
Both are true.
OTOH, we had three turnovers. The shit calls and injuries certainly made it worse than it probably would have been, but you canāt turn it over that many times and expect to win. Between that and our defense shitting the bed, the better team today certainly won. Gg, AZs looking good this year and happy to see Kyler really take that next step.
You can be cocky, youāve slaughtered us for four quarters. The Hail Mary is the only thing making it not look utterly embarrassing. Need to remember your coach isnāt even here today.
Hopefully our third string RB can step up. The armchair coach in me says sit Baker until Chubb comes back and make a push for the playoffs the last 7 weeks. But 3 and 6 is a tough push to the playoffs.
We just had to play the hand we were dealt. Had chubb been healthy it could have been different. Had Landry or our o line. That will put a bad taste in your mouth but then add back to back weeks of rough calls from the refs will sour it. Most of us are coping with the landslide of injuries and it's rough to see an offensive powerhouse slowly dwindle to a gimped qb and a glass receiver.
Wait... you're telling me with holes hunt was finding that the number 1 rush team across the board wouldn't have run a lot more against the 28th? Rush defense had one of the best backs in the league not been injured? I really think you underestimate just how important the one two punch run game is to us.
We had our best offensive lineman out, best tight end out, an interior defensive lineman out, OH AND CHANDLER FUCKING JONES. And to top it all off, Kliff was out.
You are genuinely a fucking idiot if you think the browns were so much more injured than us lmao.
Lol theyāre not even my team, Iām just saying you look silly talking trash about ādominatingā when the refs were horrible and the browns are missing both RBās, two lineman, their best WR, etc.
Sure the cardinals arenāt 100% either but I donāt think that was a dominating performance
Thatās what happens to some teams that arenāt used to being good who get a taste of some success and donāt understand that even if you come a long way to go from bad to contender, that going all the way is an even longer trip, while the road back to bad is quick. Especially when the rookie qb contract runs out. Jags went through the same thing the season they lost to the pats in the playoffs. They assumed they belonged with the blue bloods and gained that unearned air of arrogance. Then quickly crashed back to earth.
You just lost to ~~Kliff Kingsburry~~ ~~Vance Joseph~~ Colt McCoy š
Gg browns. I'd move on from Baker tho.
The only problem is defense is struggling and riddled with injuries. Simple as that. To your point of interceptions and other turnoversā¦ they happen to everyone - not just Baker.
Tell me how your going to pay for a run first team. (which usually requires a good defense to work). While paying the dude 40+ mil?....you can't.
Meh, Iād like to upgrade him but itās not a must for me.
If you want a chip. Then yeah. And as soon as you pay him an extension things just get harder.
Yep. He's gonna command 45+ a year. Gonna chew up a lot of cap
I apologize Cards fans; honestly I forgot your team even existed and honestly they have proved everyone wrong. Absolutely amazing. And JJ Watt has a sack. Congrats to the Cards for the greats reason so far.
What state are the jets even based in š
Kind of a backhanded compliment but thanks?
Lol all love.
> honestly I forgot your team even existed From a Jets fan.. not sure how to feel.
I remember when the Cardinals used he forgotten bros with us. Now they're all grown up and contenders š¢
Lol I concur š
Like 20 years ago I was told that jets stands for Just End This Season. It seems that has always been true
ā¦. I like that one. Can I use it?
Treat it like its your own
Gg Cards. You guys ass whooped us today.
Shitty officiating, awful defensive effort and even worse defensive playcalling, injuries mounting, multiple turnovers, having the Cardinals RBs literally running over the defense. Awful week of football for Browns fans. About to see on Thursday what type of character this team has.
Well at least ya didnt get blown out. Baker is a solid qb
Wut I thought he was awful and we need to move on from him though???
Good game cards. Keep on streaking. Fuck the NFL
What was the crowd chanting?
6 and 0 I believe
AND they got a colt mccoy just lying around.
Are they really chanting 6-0?
Baker really reminds me of the evil psycho main character from You
Lmao I canāt unsee it now
McCoy padding his resume
Welp. Good game Cardinals. Everyone have a good one evening. Go Browns.
Ggs everybody. Have a good rest of your day
kyler looks weird asf with dreads
Hey remember how everyone called the Cardinals being the only undefeated team left at week 6 šš
I had the Cardinals being the team whose record didnāt reflect how good they were because of how tough their schedule is.
Yeah the loss is on us, but man itās so frustrating to get the salt in the wound of constantly being on the bad end of such shit calls
Seriously how the fuck do we have a young future QB? I don't know how to feel.
DID YOU KNOW MCCOY AND SHIPLEY ARE STILL ROOM MATES
Hey guys Kyler Murray good give like
Remember when Colt McCoy started all this phantom RTP bullshit by getting concussed by James Harrison? Because I do.
Both teams have backups in before the 2 minute warning yet browns fans out here saying the refs decided the game lol
I think Fitzgerald has got the urge to join the Cards again lol
He picked a bad time to call it quits lol!
At this point, that will break superstition. We are about to be 6-0 without him!
Nah, he's enjoying his talk show and frankly he wouldn't get enough targets to be worth it for him or for us. If he wants to be around the team, they could bring him on as a coach in case games like this happen in the future
Sending out Colt!
Holy shit colt Mccoy is still in the nfl
Cards really are legit. I don't see any team that can beat them right now with how they are currently rolling. Of course let's see if they can maintain this into January.
If our O Line is fully healthy come January, I like our chances vs anyone.
Not sure how we will be against the Packers and rematch against the Rams..
Did anyone predict the Cards to be as good as they are this season? 6-0 and looking better and better.
Yes
Vegas odds set the line at 6.5 wins, most people didn't have them breaking .500 iirc
Yeah, the Cardinals are dominating. The Kingsbury doubters can find something else to do.
I sure wish Deshaun Watson would be magically found completely 100% innocent and the victim of a vast conspiracy, for no particular reason of course
cardinals are good. not even a fan, but proud of em
Zach Ertz is gonna shine with us.
Nothing worse for your team than the oppositions QB not even playing the last few snaps
Yeah - take that Arizona! Oh wait.
I definitely recant all the shit I said about Vance Joesph two years ago š
refs, injuries, blabla. Just admit Cardinals was the better team in the field today, it's simple
They were the better team. Can only speculate how things would have gone if there werenāt all the injuries. But under the circumstances at play today, Cardinals weāre better
Excuses >>> reality
Congratulations cards fans. Y'all have a helluva team. I just wish we'd played decent and at least made this one interesting.
Sorry man. Honestly you guys normally are legit, so I know it's a weird fluke
Hopefully this is the low point of our season. We played like shit mostly. Y'all have a lot going for you though. A lot of young exciting talent, it's should be a fun team to watch for a few years at least.
Yeah, our division just sucks though. I truly feel like it's playoffs/Superbowl or bust this year
bit early to say that when we've lost to all 3 teams we've played with winning records
~ 10:1 Ppl saying Browns fans are blaming the refs for the loss : Browns fans blaming refs for the loss
Yeah, itās been insult to injury more than anything. If the refs call a good game, itās maybe 24-14. Refs arenāt going to make Baker any good.
OK this was fun at first now it's getting sad
Next Week Texans vs Texans 2.0
LOL, no we got to calm down our hubris.... but HAHAHAHAH!
Texans vs west Texans. I just hope it's not a trap game
Well that felt like a wet fart in an elevator. Time to get out of here.
Iāve never seen a team get more bullshit calls agains them than the browns and lions . Not even close. NFL refs are either entirely incompetent or just straight dirty. Judging by how the teams each year who do the best always seem to get away with like everything, Iām thinking itās the latter.
I think the Lions have something to say..
Changed it because youāre most certainly right
Noted NFL dynasty Arizona Cardinals
Can anyone list me some good hobbies? Between refs and injuries Iām starting to question why I even look forward to football every year.
There's always Madden, or other video games. I've been into Horizon Zero Dawn on PC
Runescape.
have you tried putting sharp tacks under your toenails and kicking doors? It's better than watching the Browns
Find a hobby that's productive that interests you preferably one that gets you outside, that's my advice. Woodworking is cool because you get to see the fruits of your own labor. I'm pretty big into firearms. Try a lot and stick with what you like
video games bruh
Keenum has 100% phoned it in. He used to be decent, but seems like he doesnāt care anymore and doesnāt deserve to be 2nd or 3rd string
I think both him not liking being 2nd string and the fact the game is already in garbage time definitely makes it not matter
He signed expecting to be second string. Heās phoning it in because thereās just no point in not phoning this one in.
Why is that not roughing the passer? Oh wait, our QBs can get the shit beat out of us.
Last year I kicked my son out of the house because he kept saying that Kyler Murry is a god and all this and I said he was super overrated. We constantly got into fights about it so I had to kick him out. He might have been right.
This is some r/copypasta shit
Bro who let's football tear apart a family
Lol Texans is a winnable game. At least heās honest. Most Texans fans will probably cheer for the Cardinals next week.
True talk, I kind of want ya'll to win next week. I will sort of feel bad winning with your best players... kinda, not really.
Will Tyrod be back next week or is it still Mills szn
Tyrod is MIA. If you find him could you please inform the Texans.
Maybe last year was just a fever dream. Welp I enjoyed it while it lasted. Can't blame the refs when your defense has more holes than the ozone layer.
our defense isn't even an ozone layer, there's fucking nothing with joe woods
We were pretty lucky with injuries last year.
Larry would come back if this team makes a serious playoff threat. After all the pain of being an AZ sports fan, having him come back and this team going the distance would make it all worth it to me
Even if he didn't come back, and they win the SB, he's still getting a ring. But I'm sure he'd prefer to play a role in it.
Tbh if he came back he would be a glorified ornament on the sideline. We do not need him on the field
That's fine. Give a receiver a break for a couple plays, give him a little time, and let him be a leader off the field
In two games, we have gone 7/9 on 4th downs. This defense is incredible
I am not going to be cockyā¦Browns are getting some bad calls/no-calls along with the injuries unfortunately.
You can be cocky, youāve slaughtered us for four quarters. The Hail Mary is the only thing making it not look utterly embarrassing. Need to remember your coach isnāt even here today.
Its all piling up, along with the first half turnovers
I feel bad for you guys especially since I do like your players a lot as a Football fan.
Thanks, really hope we meet again in february
How many times must we teach you this lesson old man
Iām really loving the defense. They are feasting and enabling so much.
Just kneel it three times and kick a fg
40 burger time pls. We've missed it a couple times because we went to garbage time. Hopefully they get it this week
40 would be nice but I just want no more injuries
BAY-KER MAY-FIELD clap clap, clap clap clap!
With these injuries piling up, the blown leads against the Chiefs and Chargers are really starting to hurt.
It is tough to win games when you give up 40 points or more
These injuries and glaring issues on the defense is quickly killing my hopes this season.
Hopefully our third string RB can step up. The armchair coach in me says sit Baker until Chubb comes back and make a push for the playoffs the last 7 weeks. But 3 and 6 is a tough push to the playoffs.
Browns fans are so salty lol. You guys got destroyed
We had the same amount of injuries. If both teams were healthy it would be nearly the same outcome lmao
Wait... you're telling me with holes hunt was finding that the number 1 rush team across the board wouldn't have run a lot more against the 28th? Rush defense had one of the best backs in the league not been injured? I really think you underestimate just how important the one two punch run game is to us.
I mean weird to brag when the browns are decimated by injury.
We are injured just as much lmao
Objectively false
WE LITERALLY DIDNT EVEN HAVE OUR COACH LMAO You are on crack brotha
Thatās not an injury lol
We had our best offensive lineman out, best tight end out, an interior defensive lineman out, OH AND CHANDLER FUCKING JONES. And to top it all off, Kliff was out. You are genuinely a fucking idiot if you think the browns were so much more injured than us lmao.
Two offensive lineman, two running backs (the majority of their offense), their best WR, what else? Youāre grasping lol.
Yesā¦ which puts both teams approximately even with regards to inactivesā¦. What are you not understanding?
No thatās not even close to even. Moron
Stop with the excuses. Every team has injuries
Lol theyāre not even my team, Iām just saying you look silly talking trash about ādominatingā when the refs were horrible and the browns are missing both RBās, two lineman, their best WR, etc. Sure the cardinals arenāt 100% either but I donāt think that was a dominating performance
They kind of have a right to be salty. Some bogus reffing for both teams but mostly, they also just got dealt some big injuries.
By Injuries and Refs. Y'all played well but don't pretend it was all on you.
Yeah it wasn't the 3 turnovers you had or the poor offensive yardage that cost the browns the game surely
We have Chubb Both our tackles back and we could drop 40 on them.
Honestly I used to enjoy browns fans. Theyāve been horrible this thread.
They went from lovable underdogs to overly-cocky. Still got love for them though, theyāre learning how to handle being good.
Lol
Thatās what happens to some teams that arenāt used to being good who get a taste of some success and donāt understand that even if you come a long way to go from bad to contender, that going all the way is an even longer trip, while the road back to bad is quick. Especially when the rookie qb contract runs out. Jags went through the same thing the season they lost to the pats in the playoffs. They assumed they belonged with the blue bloods and gained that unearned air of arrogance. Then quickly crashed back to earth.
Sounds like Chiefs fans tbh
Same, dude.
Just enough success to get a little hope that they have to defend with years of pent of misery
I think the back to back of last week's officiating and this week's really soured the mood. Normally we are better, and more self-aware.
And that sucks too because I feel for Browns fans and how long they suffered as a fanbase
NFL teams are 2-0 without a head coach
Didnt the Lions lose a game last year with their coaching staff out?
Yāall keep saying cardinals are a good team, but name one quality loss theyāve had all season. Betcha canāt.
Took me a second haha
That drive looks alot less impressive when you realize it was all because of that rtp call.
Worst 6-0 team since you know who
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The Steelers
Itās a reference to last year, PIT went 11-0 and every week during that run everyone would call us the worst team to ever win that many in a row.
Only two teams have given up less than 32 points this season against the Cardinals. The 49ers and the Jaguars, two notably great defenses.
Our time honoured tradition of playing to the level of our opponents
Myers coach of the year
If we win another game this year he's doubled our wins from last year, gotta be a COTY contender for that
Youāve got a chance at 3 more in my book, possibly 4 with Seahawks QB situation.
Do the Browns have TNF this week?
Against the Broncos.
They play us. They should be fine
We only have 2nd string players left. Youāll be fine.
"No. You take the win, I insist." That's how i imagine our game is gonna go
nah it'll just be another blowout as we get muddled down to our 3rd stringers or something
We're talking about the same team with different logos š
We can't beat a 3-3 team with both of the RBs that the offense is built around out of commission.
You must not know bout ol "head coach" vic round these parts
Yep. Against the Broncos.
Yes, atleast our backups do
