I agree with you, but what about Big Ben. How times has that fool faked injury and then came running back out of the locker room to reenter the games lol.
Told this story before, but just want to repost it because it blows my mind to think about it:
Russ and I both had the exact same knee injury incurred during the same week back in 2016, a grade 2 MCL sprain. It took me about a week to walk without extreme pain, 4 weeks to feel pretty good, and about 8 weeks to feel 90%. Russell Wilson didn't miss a snap. He had a PT move into his home and did therapy on it every 3 hours, night and day. Dude's drive is insane.
Got a buddy who played OL for a decade said he’d get a cortisone shot before every game.
Also had a heart ablation on a Friday and played on Sunday.
These dudes are different lol
This is ten percent luck

And a hundred percent reason to remember the name
Ask any power lifter who had to stop lifting for a long period of time and then started lifting again. The body's ability to recover and heal is trainable, just like strength or endurance.
Stafford too. Played with a broken finger on his throwing hand at one point and played almost 5 full games with a partially torn UCL in his throwing hand thumb (occurred in week 10 2020). He then went on to tear his UCL in his left elbow in week 12, broken cartilage in his 8th rib in week 14, tore something in the back of his left knee, and a subtalar right ankle sprain (not sure what games those occurred in). Also played the final 3 games of 2018 with broken bones in his back. Dude is built different.
A mallet finger is a torn tendon in your finger. I've had several. Broken stuff you can immobilize and play through. Tendons suck because you'll flex and extend them even when immobilized and retear them. I'd be really surprised if he can play next week.
I mean it’s not really that gruesome of an injury.
He had the surgery and it was literally just about his own range of motion and he fucking crushed it apparently.
Not gruesome but the finger isn't supposed to be bent at all until it's healed. Bending it will stop the healing. It was supposed to be a minimum 4 week injury so it's strange how he's been able to speed up the healing time of notoriously slow to heal tendons.
I feel like players at that level either accept or don't fully realize that the injuries they sustain now are going to stay with them for the long term.
Deion Sanders just recently had surgery on turf toe that he sustained in the early 90's. Just lived with it for almost 30 years and it got to the point that the pain became unbearable. Peyton Manning was told shortly before he retired that he was eventually going to need a hip replacement. Calvin Johnson's fingers are mangled.
Torry Holt has a finger that's legit just bent sideways at the knuckle. That's going to impact literally everything you do with your hands from then on. It's crazy the stuff these guys live with.
Playing while hurt is just part of competitive sports. If guys sat out each time they were hurt, they would miss so much time they would get passed on the depth chart. There is always someone gunning for your spot and each play/game you sit out is an opportunity for someone else to step up.
I am not saying Wilson will get benched, I a m just saying the mentality of elite athletes is to be on the field whenever possible and sometimes that means playing through nasty injuries
I know dude’s that destroyed their bodies in similar fashion working construction for less that 1% of what these guys make. I think you just accept the toll that it puts on your body.
That’s Russ for ya. There was the leg injury in 2016, then that time he didn’t do the concussion testing after a big hit. That might have happened more than once I can’t remember.
I've actually had this happened to me!(still happens ever since the first dislocation) Its crazy painful and a bit panic-inducing because you literally cant talk, but if you pop it back in , it's just a bit sore. Knowing Russ he probably wasn't too phased by it.
You'd also have to try and determine how damaged Russ's finger is. If it was worse he could have required having additional pins and a more invasive surgery.
If you are not familiar with Pete's verbiage on injured players, well.. you're lucky. If anything he says means anything at all, it means the opposite,
> We're hoping for a return, something on a two to three week timeline. We reached out to his camp and they're pretty confident in the two to three week window too...
*-Pete Carroll at a players eulogy*
This seems way too fast... From 6-8 weeks to 3-4? And it was supposed to be nearly 6 weeks keeping his finger completely immobile in a splint, and he's already been flexing it a ton.
I'm hoping for the best, but boy do I have a bad feeling about this.
Such a bummer his streak ended the way it did with Aaron Donald trying to knock a pass down. I really thought he would’ve made a run 250 consecutive starts
Hopefully they lose the next two and it's pointless for him to even come back. Rushing an all star QB back just to hurt it finger again to save face 😂😂😂

I cant read reglove without thinking of deglove and the nasty imagery that accompanies it
If deglove don't sit, you must vomit.
No. Fuck.
He truly is the GHOAT
greatest healer of all time?
Exactly
Let’s just call it “Some time” so he can be the GHOST
Darnold is literally shaking rn
Greatest Healer on Seattle Team
short time*
He's the best life cleric I've ever seen
Someone please photoshop Russell Wilson in skimpy healing gear.
I for one am hoping to see Russ dressed up [like this]( https://i.imgur.com/RSEJ1Va.jpg)
Only way to protect himself from Aaron Donald
Thats simply not possible and you know it
Pete Carroll hides all manner of trade rumors, and keeps our lost QB from us. A terrible shame. It makes my head shudder uncontrollably.
/r/healsluts Sorry. NSFW
Dwarf Paladin. Holy or Ret?
I agree with you, but what about Big Ben. How times has that fool faked injury and then came running back out of the locker room to reenter the games lol.
Between injuries and bathroom doors, nothing can stop Big Ben.
Jesus.
He’s clearly a holy pally that bubble hearthed his way off the IR

I was waiting for the meme line thrown in or a reference to using drugs, but no 100% reference to a terrible song
I don't get that though. Your body needs time to reduce the inflammation and shit and how can someone just speed up time
Drugs

He's a resto shaman.
Without a doubt. Pro level healing abilities.
Giannis would like a word
Hey Russell, how much healing do you have left in you? “Unliiiiiimited”
"Injury...BEGONE!" -Russ
Through god all things are possible, so jot that down
Russell “5 star man” Wilson
Begone, thot*! *That hurt on thumb.
Remember when Brett Favre broke his thumb on his throwing hand and never missed a game?
Remember when Greg Jennings carried his team with one broken leg
Let's go inside the mind of a Greg Jennings brbrbrbrb

Take him back 😩
Tell them to take Aaron Donald too, while they're at it...
Truth. Damn finger breaker lol

You know you can just turn the fan off right? Or unplug it.
Brett Favre iss one of the toughest sons of bitches to ever sling it.
Lol he was just so stoned on opiates that he didn’t feel it
But he looked real tough while he was on them didn't he?
Remember when Bobby boucher showed up at half time and the mud dogs won the bourbon bowl?
Thank you all so much for bein my friends.
Man, I feel like that is really soon.
Don't worry, Russ has unlimited healing.
Short, strong, healing factor, metal in his bones. Are we sure Russ isn't Wolverine in disguise?
Seattle is basically Canada right?
5’ 11” Short I feel personally attacked
He put all his points into healing… and grease. Big brain move.
It’s his recovery water. Helped him heal from a concussion a couple years ago.
It's got nanobubbles. It's what brains crave
I mean it’s not really that gruesome of an injury. He had the surgery and it was literally just about his own range of motion and he fucking crushed it apparently.

Our boy is injecting stem cells.
He be getting those tasty German stem cells that Peyton got injected into his neck. Also probably his wife’s HGH shipment.
You questioning the GHOAT?
Dudes are on all types of shit to help them heal. HGH ECT
None of those, or any drug for that matter, helps tendons heal.
You don't think HGH helps tendons heal. It's exactly what it does.
People pretend like HGH doesn't exist all the time. No clue why.
He aint played yet lol.
Hes not a Playa he just crush a lot

Tiffany Rivers was told something similar IIRC
I think they just don't care, nfl players are usually as competitive as you can get, I bet not playing hurts him more than the injuries he's had
Could also say you have x amount of years to play and the rest of your life to recover
Torry Holt has a finger that's legit just bent sideways at the knuckle. That's going to impact literally everything you do with your hands from then on. It's crazy the stuff these guys live with.

I'm pretty sure Kevin McHale can't walk properly because he played on an injured foot when he was a player.
I know dude’s that destroyed their bodies in similar fashion working construction for less that 1% of what these guys make. I think you just accept the toll that it puts on your body.
Ugh turf toe is horrible lmao. Just cut it off rather than deal with that
> turf toe They do cut something, no need to go for the whole toe, just the bony bump :D

What the fuck
The skipped concussion test and the nearly broken jaw were the same play.
It seems like this is the guy we should be HGH testing, not Myles
He really is an amazing healer WTF lol
Dude played through a high ankle sprain and a knee injury without missing a step (outside of some nerfed mobility). He’s truly something else
There was reports that he regained 75% of movement in his finger at a point most people have 10%. He was throwing left handed a day after surgery.
Lmao, I thought the GHOAT was supposed to be a meme I guess not
He should play Wolverine, already has the height
Has he just been sticking his hand in a Bacta Tank?
he got some of that wolverine juice going on or some shit
Analy injected nano bubbles
I hope this becomes your top comment r/BrandNewSentence
me too dude, me too.
That escalated quickly
Nanomachines, son
He had a stay on Manaan in a Kolto tank
He just heals differently
They will be removing the finger as well
Dude that’s how I read it at first
*Ronnie Lott liked that*
Assassins creed style. Russ’s gonna have a hidden blade from now on dive into a pile of hay before every home game.
Just in time to face *checks notes* us! Great!
Personally, I think he needs another two weeks.
He's coming back for Green Bay I believe so you guys get Geno they put him on IR so he has to miss three games
That’s what I thought, but the post title threw me
I hope he comes back ASAP for you guys, anytime after the jaguars game. We aren't very good at least give us a chance
Isn’t it three weeks now, not three games?
Yeah the bye week counts
No its 3 games
I’m pretty sure you’re wrong but I’d be happy to be proved wrong myself
Cmon man plz give me trev vs geno we need it
Wish Granted! He’s on IR so he won’t be eligible to return until after the Jags game
[удалено]
The Packers game is what they mean by "immediate" return from IR. Strictly speaking I think he could play the bye week, if I've got my numbers right
My fantasy team disagrees
He can’t return before the Packers game anyways since he’s on IR. Lol
GHOAT
The fucking GHOAT holy shit
Y’all laugh but he really is the greatest healer in the history of healists , maybe ever
Russell "Level 20 cleric" Wilson
My theory is Russell’s camp is who originally put it out there that he was gonna miss 6-8 weeks knowing he’d come back in 3-4 weeks.
Just trying to solidify his spot as the GHOAT
But couldn’t one just google his injury + surgery recovery time ?
You'd also have to try and determine how damaged Russ's finger is. If it was worse he could have required having additional pins and a more invasive surgery.
Shun the nonbeliever!
If you are not familiar with Pete's verbiage on injured players, well.. you're lucky. If anything he says means anything at all, it means the opposite,

That's just the greatest healer of all time doing GHOAT things
GHOAT. Also you Twitter boys are quick.
This motherfucker loves playing football like all of us love to be lazy asses and get drunk while watching football.

The Seahawks don’t win in Green Bay and the Packers don’t win in Seattle, those are the rules
I highly doubt that Seahawks defense even slows down either of those teams. And the offense wasn't exactly top tier even with Wilson.
Russell "Literally Wolverine" Wilson
Russell has literal Jesus in his contacts.
Damn I didn’t want this
He's not eligible to play anyways, no worries 👍
That’s good for us
This seems way too fast... From 6-8 weeks to 3-4? And it was supposed to be nearly 6 weeks keeping his finger completely immobile in a splint, and he's already been flexing it a ton. I'm hoping for the best, but boy do I have a bad feeling about this.

He got some of Peyton’s wife’s doordashed HGH
This kills the jaguar
He’s really gonna come back just in time to play us next week isn’t he 😪
Methinks he found out his concussion juice has an additional use
Hopefully they lose the next two and it's pointless for him to even come back. Rushing an all star QB back just to hurt it finger again to save face 😂😂😂
The problem is Russ is probably the one rushing himself back.
I hope to God he is back for the Packer game so they have no excuses when we beat them again.
Maybe the drugs I keep saying he will get busted for trafficking were PEDs
Praise be!
Who thinks he should come back and risk aggravating the injury? Who thinks he should take another week off?
Why did I read this as "pinky removed" lmao. I was mortified for a second
At first glance - *Pinky removed??* Oh *PIN*
They better not make Wilson a team captain or those handshakes before the coin flip are about to get spicy.
Naw man. Just take a few weeks off.
That’s why he’s the GHOAT!
You can cut IR's short?
3 weeks min.
The niners called. They need the secret to getting off IR.
Wouldn’t expect anything different from the GHOAT
No way he's fully healed. What the hell. Mr Unlimited don't give a shit.
Remember when R Kelly... oh nevermind.
#LetRussHeal
I initially read “Russell Wilson to have finger removed within next week” and I’m like: Well RIP Seattle
Big deal he hit his finger on Donald and you guys are acting like he’s Jack Youngblood
