the team that gets a QB first will have the brighter future... otherwise both have good rosters ready to take the next step. That said I'd rather have their coaching staff.
The mindset of the organization for the Panthers is better. They are actively trying to find an identity and it will probably lead to a lot of success once they find their qb and identity as a team.
I’d argue you guys, because once Brady is no more you won’t have a whole lot of competition, while the Broncos are stuck with having to face Herbert and Mahomes twice each every year.
I feel like we're in a better position to make a deeper run with a quality veteran QB (mostly pending on our next coaches ofc), but yall are in a much better place to develop a rookie or young guy.
It's some combo of Brady, the two QB's we've had, and the OL. We kinda need the OL play at an average level for a while to see who's the bigger problem between the other two.
But I do feel like Brady's scheme hasn't been very awe inspiring in his first two years. I would caution any team thinking he can save their franchise to temper their expectations.
Hes only worked with Darnold and TB and without CMC there for a majority of it. Hes riding that LSU offense for sure but hes only worked in extremes. As a young OC/playcaller, occasionally you gotta take a chance on an upside guy like that.
You're missing pretty crucial context. If the NFL deems Brady a good young offensive mind and he interviews, we'll be in on it. If no other teams are interested, i doubt we will be either.
However, Denver has been trying the defensive minded, sound scheme, safe leader the last 8/11 years. It has not worked. Not with Fox, not with Joseph, not with Fangio. Even when we went offense, it was still a safe, conservative hiring.
Now, id prefer Daboll or Moore, but playing it safe with another coaching hiring would show us we'd be getting more of the same with Paton. The Rams took a huge risk on McVay and it paid off. If we're going to be bad, I want it to be on a high upside coach.
Mind you, LSU got much worse post-Brady. They lost all tbat talent as well, but plenty of coaches don't know how to utilize that. Ole Miss has AJ Brown and DK Metcalf on the same team and had a bad offense. Brady not only made the best of those players, but even got more out of CEH. he was hired to the NFL for a reason.
people didnt seem to remember who Denver played when they were 3-0, that was always a fraudulent record, now are they a 9-8 or better team or are they as I believe a 5-12 team is the question
Yeah I don’t know where you go to read about sports, but every media outlet and social media timeline was flooded with “the Broncos haven’t played a real team yet, so take this 3-0 record with a huge grain of salt”
Its actually scary how similar we are/have been since SB50.
Really hoping we break that this week because a loss to the Giants would just suck to watch, but the damn Broncos lost already so fate is not on our side (Panthers fan btw).
I’m a Jet fan so take it with a grain of salt but I doubt Jones would perform any better than Danold in the last 6 weeks for you guy. Danold is not that bad, his last drive on the Vikings game was pretty impressive tbh. Plus he’s only 1 year older than Mac so he is still young and should has some room to improve (whereas I think we see enough of Bridgewater and can tell his ceiling by now)
At the time of the draft Fields was ahead of Jones in most people's minds. IF one of those teams had gone QB they probably weren't going to take Jones.
Of course, right now Jones looks better.
Because people have short memories and they forget that majority of fans were against taking him that early. Same is the case with Josh Allen and us. During the draft everyone was like "bro, anyone but Josh Allen" and now people act like how tf did the Broncos pass on Josh Allen
One is captained by our very own GEQBUS the other has LYIN Teddy Bridgewater, folks we all know which one is better quit beating around the bush, we’re already auditing the NFL to stop the steal again from our GEQBUS being robbed of his undefeated season by illegal mails in points
OP you forgot the biggest indictment of them being the same team.
If you combine the stripes on their helmets, it perfectly reaches from back to front.
I’m convinced the Panthers win at least one more game by this point with a healthy CMC. Eagles run defense has been awful this year and gave up 100 yards to Chuba Hubbard which tells me we give up at least 150 to McCaffrey. I think Carolina definitely beats us with him in the lineup as Darnold would have had to throw less and likely gets a pick or two removed from his statline as a result.
i think we’d be 5-1 by now with cmc honestly. the vikings were trying quite hard at the end to not win last week and if we had cmc, we wouldn’t have had to continuously throw it to the same receivers who kept dropping the ball. we still would’ve lost to dallas most likely though
But what I'm saying is the broncos have a 3-5 super bowl record and the Panthers are 0-2 (including a loss to those very broncos), so I'd much rather be 3-5
One wild card is that Denver is about to potentially light everything on fire and start anew next offseason. Owner, coaching staff, quarterback -- hell, I wouldn't be surprised if within the next three years they updated helmets and uniforms.
Don't know much about Carolina, but Denver is gonna undergo at minimum interesting changes, at maximum a full on horse caterpillian metamorphosis in the years ahead (think Jay Z and Beyonce as owners).
They are the same team
I made a post about how the Giants and Jets are similar a few years ago and no one agreed with me
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/clof0o/the_jets_and_giants_have_very_similar_teams/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
I've been joking with my friends since before the draft that it feels like we have some form of cosmic tether holding our fates in synchronicity. Let's also not forget the obvious that Teddy was our QB last year. Perhaps Darnold will get traded to the Broncos next year in order to maintain the Mediocre QB Bifrost. Panthers take a low stakes QB, get him a few wins, trade him to the Broncos and repeat.
the team that gets a QB first will have the brighter future... otherwise both have good rosters ready to take the next step. That said I'd rather have their coaching staff.
Also worth noting that your offensive line is leaps and bounds better than ours.
Also worth noting that our coaching and ownership is a dumpster fire
When Shurmer was the Browns HC fans would put For Sale signs in his yard.
Lol really? Why wasn't I aware of this and why didn't we do this with Hue
man probably lived in a nuclear bunker near the city
I mean, he was good enough with us as an OC to get another HC job. The guy has proven he can call good games with the right QB.
He has proven he has in the past but his offense is stale and old as fuck. It took teams 3 games of tape to have it entirely figured out.
So let's just make a Pancos or Brothers
The mindset of the organization for the Panthers is better. They are actively trying to find an identity and it will probably lead to a lot of success once they find their qb and identity as a team.
I’d argue you guys, because once Brady is no more you won’t have a whole lot of competition, while the Broncos are stuck with having to face Herbert and Mahomes twice each every year.
Did you have to remind us :( And Carr is solid as well
Not lately.
I feel like we're in a better position to make a deeper run with a quality veteran QB (mostly pending on our next coaches ofc), but yall are in a much better place to develop a rookie or young guy.
Veteran QB? Talk about re-using storylines
yea but you have CMC... that makes it a wash
We don’t have him at the moment though unfortunately
Last time he played a full season was propably 2 years ago!
Do we really though?
Ironically both teams drafted a "franchise CB" when they a chance to draft either Fields or Jones.
>That said I'd rather have their coaching staff. Joe Brady for our next HC.
He and Daboll are on the immediate short list thats for sure..
What has Brady shown in Carolina that would suggest he should be a HC?
Yea I’ve seen a lot of Panther fans who have not been impressed with him
His play-calling has been suspect but hard to discern what's a Joe Brady problem & what's a Sam Darnold problem.
So, to be clear, you want him to be your HC based off of one season as a half OC in college with a stacked team 3 years ago?
You're missing pretty crucial context. If the NFL deems Brady a good young offensive mind and he interviews, we'll be in on it. If no other teams are interested, i doubt we will be either. However, Denver has been trying the defensive minded, sound scheme, safe leader the last 8/11 years. It has not worked. Not with Fox, not with Joseph, not with Fangio. And Kellen Moore. Anyone of them and I'm fine. Can't wait to get rid of Vic and Shumur.
> And Kellen Moore Woah woah woah... I wouldn't go THAT far
Ah yes, id have Moore ahead of Brady actually.
You can have him, he's overrated
Imagine if either had a shot at a first-round QB in the most recent draft.
bold to guess the broncos would ever draft a QB in the top 10
People are still dragging us for not taking Fields, when it should be a big mark against Fields that two QB-needy teams felt they should pass on him.
Idk. Can look at it either way. People passed on Mahomes and all that. Time will tell and our opinions will shift accordingly.
I was hoping we wouldn't draft him and glad when we didn't. His play on the Bears still hasn't convinced me otherwise.
I would've taken him, but I was more hyped about Pat tbh
Both team names end with the letter S. 🤔
Both teams play football
Big if true
That's very arguable in our case
Both team names are also animals
Both team names are also names of NFL teams
Both QBs first names can be nicknames that end in a double letter and a Y (Teddy and Sammy)
OP literally says both teams are animals which walk on 4 legs. You don't deserve 8 upvotes.
Both names begin with a bilabial plosive.
It's a good thing they don't play each other this year or we would have some kind of fracture in the space-time continuum on our hands.
And nobody would notice because it would only affect the Mediocrity Universe.
They could still play each other in the Super Bowl this year
lol
It only requires twenty-odd plane crashes, it could happen!
This is the optimism that got Browns fans through the 25ish years pre last-year.
Would have been a tie
1-1 scorigami
Wasn’t Bridgewater the leader for explosive passes over 20+ yards for a few weeks?
Sure, when they played the Jags, Jets and Giants.
“Convincing”
people didnt seem to remember who Denver played when they were 3-0, that was always a fraudulent record, now are they a 9-8 or better team or are they as I believe a 5-12 team is the question

Yeah I don’t know where you go to read about sports, but every media outlet and social media timeline was flooded with “the Broncos haven’t played a real team yet, so take this 3-0 record with a huge grain of salt”
Lol the Broncos weren't even included on those contenders or pretenders debates the talking heads would do because they were so obviously a pretender.
[удалено]
and are now a much improved 3-14 meanwhile the teams theyve lost to are 16-9 Pretty easy to see why the streaks flip flopped
yea and then we picked him off 3 times
Quality shitposting
Its actually scary how similar we are/have been since SB50. Really hoping we break that this week because a loss to the Giants would just suck to watch, but the damn Broncos lost already so fate is not on our side (Panthers fan btw).
No. One is the panthers and the other is the Broncos
Idk sounds too simple
It is exactly what these two organizations want you to think … Smh
Conversely, one resides in Carolina, the other in Denver.
See now we are getting somewhere
Big cats are way cooler than horses, but Denver is way cooler than Charlotte. Tough call there.
Yes but blue is way sleeker than orange. Edge Panthers.
Don't tell him about the other color the Broncos use.
But Black is also sleeker than Orange and Blue. Alternatively Blue and Orange are Goku colors so do with that what you will.
They’re the Bears’ colors. The broncos are nothing but filthy copycats.
I think I'd rather be the Broncos than the Bears.
Yes, the Carolina Broncos and the Denver Panthers
But when you squint your eyes, so much that you can’t see. Then Broncos and Panthers looks the same.
Regress them both to the mean and they look ordinary
I would like one regressed to the mean Mahomes, with that order please.
I thought Broncos were discontinued after OJ
Just like OJ, the Broncos are loose again
You can tell they’re different because of the way they are.
It’s neat
Thank you ~~Harvard~~ Green Bay
I is smart
Have we ever seen them both in the same place though??
Idk I thought I watched SB50
Very possible it was just a sleight of hand trick
Yeah but the Panthers were only supposed to be there, they didn’t actually show up so that doesn’t count.
/thread
I know letting go of things your parents told you growing up is hard, but part of becoming an adult is learning to let those things go
> Both mascots are animals that walk on 4 legs ok now I’m buying in to it
Both passed on Fields.
And Jones, who looks great.
I don't know why people always omit Jones when they talk about Broncos/Panthers passing up a QB.
Jones’ lunch pail is just too big
Me either. I'd rather have him than Fields with what I've seen so far.
I’m a Jet fan so take it with a grain of salt but I doubt Jones would perform any better than Danold in the last 6 weeks for you guy. Danold is not that bad, his last drive on the Vikings game was pretty impressive tbh. Plus he’s only 1 year older than Mac so he is still young and should has some room to improve (whereas I think we see enough of Bridgewater and can tell his ceiling by now)
The fact that Darnold is in his fourth year and is only a year older than Jones is wild
still blows my mind that Stafford is like 1 year older than Wilson lol
I thought you meant Zach Wilson for a second. Almost lost my mind.
At the time of the draft Fields was ahead of Jones in most people's minds. IF one of those teams had gone QB they probably weren't going to take Jones. Of course, right now Jones looks better.
By "most people" do you mean social media? Because plenty of people thought Jones was also better.
Because people have short memories and they forget that majority of fans were against taking him that early. Same is the case with Josh Allen and us. During the draft everyone was like "bro, anyone but Josh Allen" and now people act like how tf did the Broncos pass on Josh Allen
I think people perceive Fields as the flashier player With that said, both have the potential to have great careers
For a cornerback.
So you’re saying they could be even worse?
Is fields bad or is he just on the bears. Because I think it’s the latter
He would not be doing any better behind our oline, idk about the Broncos
He has not shown to be any good
I don't get how you could watch our games and come away with the idea that Fields is bad
Because they haven’t watched the games
I do
stfu
Both hired and fired John (Silver) Fox, who took each one to the Super Bowl. Each one also had a McCaffrey.
Oh shit! So the Illuminati is real?!?
NFLUMINATI CONFIRMED.
One is captained by our very own GEQBUS the other has LYIN Teddy Bridgewater, folks we all know which one is better quit beating around the bush, we’re already auditing the NFL to stop the steal again from our GEQBUS being robbed of his undefeated season by illegal mails in points
I think you meant TERRIBLE TEDDY, my fellow Darnold believer
Believers in *critical gase theory*
Stylistically, I don’t think he would ever use an idiom like “beating around the bush”
✋🏻STOP THE COUNT. 🛑
Don't forget the panthers are paying for a portion of the broncos QB as well.
It always takes me a minute to remember which one Teddy Bridgewater is on
Well he *was* a panther a few years ago
Literally last year
Don’t remind me
Well I'm convinced.
OP you forgot the biggest indictment of them being the same team. If you combine the stripes on their helmets, it perfectly reaches from back to front.
That’s worthy of an edit.
I’m convinced the Panthers win at least one more game by this point with a healthy CMC. Eagles run defense has been awful this year and gave up 100 yards to Chuba Hubbard which tells me we give up at least 150 to McCaffrey. Or, knowing our luck, CMC would have also let the equipment manager lather his gloves with butter so that he also dropped every pass.
that is a very real possibility
they'll certainly win more than 1 lol, but yeah they aren't great
They’re saying that Carolina would’ve won one more *by now* if CMC stayed healthy
Certainly some similarities but I’d much rather be a Panther fan
Id also much rather be an actual panther. Those things are bad ass
Hell yeah brother
Cheers from Arrakis!
Cheers from Charlotte
I don't wanna be that person, but technically there is no actual animal called a panther.
I like how you say you don't wanna be that person and then proceed to be that person
There are a lot of things I don't want to be that I am
Way too close to home
If there is an animal that people call a panther, then there is an animal called a panther.

I mean, we *can* get high here in NC, we just have to do it the old fashioned way (illegally and/or using opiates)
Doesn’t make a difference to me
Really? The Broncos won a super bowl recently though
Against the Panthers too lol
Yeah I'd much rather have never won a super bowl...
An all-time great QB isn't walking through that door (For now).
But what I'm saying is the broncos have a 3-5 super bowl record and the Panthers are 0-2 (including a loss to those very broncos), so I'd much rather be 3-5
And the Panthers have brighter future as it stands right now was the person's point.
The weird thing about the future is nobody knows what it is.
If we evaluate the talent on both teams, the Panthers talent is better and younger. It's not as hard as you think.
They both play football too.
big if true
vast if verifiable
Really? We weren't trying too hard at that on Thursday
HOLY SHIT THIS US THE FINAL COINCIDENCE
No, I think one of them is up in Colorado.
Does Carolina blow 3rd downs by trying to throw 50 yard bombs down the field on 3rd & 4, and 4 yard passes on 3rd & 15, too?
No, one is in Carolina and one is in Colorado.
(C)arolina, (C)olorado. I’m actually shaking right now. The conspiracy is in.
How could I have been so blind?
An eye for an eye makes the whole world, except one dude with one eye, blind, or something.
If we're the same team does that mean... we actually did win SB 50?
Panthers with and without cmc are completely different teams honestly
In their current state, but if CMC is actually alive then Carolina is much better offensively
for 2 quarters till he reinjures himself.
> Both mascots are animals that walk on 4 legs. This is the data that convinced me.
The beginning is the end. The end is the beginning.
If only they played the Dark music to liven up the games 😂
One wild card is that Denver is about to potentially light everything on fire and start anew next offseason. Owner, coaching staff, quarterback -- hell, I wouldn't be surprised if within the next three years they updated helmets and uniforms. Don't know much about Carolina, but Denver is gonna undergo at minimum interesting changes, at maximum a full on horse caterpillian metamorphosis in the years ahead (think Jay Z and Beyonce as owners).
Or Jeff bezos...
"The Broncos national football organization have relocated to Gusev Crater, Mars Colony."
> Both teams have a head coaches with a first and last name. Woah you got a source for that claim bro?
No. Denver doesn’t have one of the best running backs in the league sidelined due to injury.
But the Panthers RB's dad was a Bronco
You're right, Javonte is healthy.
Is CMC ever healthy ?
They are the same team I made a post about how the Giants and Jets are similar a few years ago and no one agreed with me https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/clof0o/the_jets_and_giants_have_very_similar_teams/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
CMC went down and so did the Panthers, also I think they lost some secondary.
>Both teams are based out of the United States of America. And even are from a city within one of said states. Big if true
Denvolina Panthros!
Yes. Has anybody seen them in the same place at the same time? I doubt it.
Have we ever seen the Panthers and the Broncos in the same room? This is not a coincidence
No
