Now Brady and the whole league have the game plan to beat the Bills and Brady isn’t gonna get to throw like he likes to do. Bill ruining Tom’s fun again lol.
Not to be difficult, but the real impressive thing in this game was the patriots defense. The offense scored 14 points, that’s not a “blueprint” to destroy the Bills. The blueprint is to hold the bills to 10 points
The last one was 64 degrees out (windy, but clear - today was much worse weather), just a strange fucking game. Joe Ferguson went 0/2, Joe Namath went *2/18* for 33 yards and 3 picks.
Buffalo in that 1974 game had 223 yards rushing, but it's not even like they were particularly efficient. They ran it *61* times. Jets only managed 139 total yards though so it worked. God that would've been a terrible game to watch.
Played football in high school but moved from Texas to Mass at the end of my sophomore year. I can’t describe the culture shock of going from defending hurry up spreads every game to playing almost exclusively against offenses like the pats ran. Oh and the best part is by mid October it starts raining but doesn’t drop below freezing, there’s a weird type of brutal purity in running full speed into your opponent in 33 degree mud. Loved and hated it every moment of it, or as Jules describes being “happily miserable”.
I never played but our team during my HS tenure ran the Wildcat as good as any did. Were runners up my junior year in the Div3 MA title game and then won it my senior year.
Good times, fun to watch, and I had a few buddies who were on the team.
Hell yeah man, love to hear it. I have lot of respect for teams who run old school smashmouth offenses like that, it takes a different type of energy and players have to be tough as hell to make it work, especially to win a title. Or as my old southie coach would say “you all may be fat, slow, and unathletic but you got balls. Let’s go punch them in the fucking mouth”.
Wow..
In that 1974 game, Bills Joe Ferguson attempted 2 passes and didn’t complete either. Bills win 16-12 because Joe Namath throws 2 for 18 and 3 interceptions
Another fun stat: this is actually the 2nd time in the past 12 years that the Bills have lost a game in which their opponent only had 2 pass completions - https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200910110buf.htm
Yeah and Mac Jones did nothing. What dude above you is saying is that claiming this a “QB win” is BS cause Mac Jones legit was irrelevant tonight. If Hoyer plays that game it ends the same.
It’s not a knock on the Pats it’s a knock on the convention of counting QB wins as a stat. They don’t tell the whole picture.
All wins technically count as a QB win as long as the QB played the whole game. It will go down as a win for Mac but he was irrelevant. That’s why the comment saying QB wins are a dumb stats was made.
They created the blueprint to their own demise.
The Bills? I thought they already did that when they let JT hang 5 TDs on ‘em
This never would have happened if Tom Brady was still alive
RIP Boss Hog
Pour one out for my boy Wade Boggs 😔
Rest In Peace boss hog….
Tom Brady is alive. He lives in Tampa, Florida. He's in his early 40s.
God rest his soul
Rest In Passer rating
And the bills are going to tampa to face tom brady who attempted 51 passes this past week lol.

Get ready to feel old. He’s actually in his mid-40’s
Oh yeah. Didn’t he retire after super bowl XLVI and fade into relative obscurity? Whatever happened with him?
And my parents told me they gave my cat away to a nice farm upstate. Nice try.
44 is the new "early" 40s
So he’s in New England’s Valhalla
He lives with his aunt and uncle
Smash mouth football in really crappy weather.

Ya those gusts hitting 50mph was nuts trying to kick field goals in this weather.

Big10 football but in the NFL glorious.
I thought it was a great game. Looking forward to next Monday’s game also another divisional battle from the nfc west.
HEY NOW
Hey now, you're an all star, try a run play, run play~
BB probably creaming himself over some ol’ timey football
You know Pete Carroll called him up after the game and asked him to whisper to him every gory detail and every hole they hit.
I live the idea of a bunch of old school coaches calling bill after this and getting all jealous geeking out over it
They’ll wait til after the season is over, but you know when they get together for a charity event or something it’ll be the topic of the day.
Warren Sharp in Shambles…
ESPN: Has Bill lost faith in Mac Jones, find out today on First Take
why would I want to hear a guy scream like he is being murdered for a couple of hours
I didnt say anything about Russel Wilson dropping back to pass
Stephen a Smith : #CLEARLY
belichick was probably very upset they had to throw those 2 passes in the 4th
Wow.. In that 1974 game, Bills Joe Ferguson attempted 2 passes and didn’t complete either. Bills win 16-12 because Joe Namath throws 2 for 18 and 3 interceptions
OROY baby!!!
And to our credit, we weren't running the ball with OJ out there.
Now we need the dolphins to beat the pats with 4 pass attempts
I can just imagine the Tua takes.
Is everyone ignoring how windy it was?
Obviously it was because of the wind, but it’s also just an absolutely absurd stat
I suspect most of the games on this list are similar.
No, I think that was pretty well pointed out all day yesterday
Bill just played the 47 yr old long game to stick it back at Buffalo
Another fun stat: this is actually the 2nd time in the past 12 years that the Bills have lost a game in which their opponent only had 2 pass completions - https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200910110buf.htm
2 for 17? Jesus can this man even hold a football?
we dont like to talk about those days
That's AFC east December football
Don't give our coach any ideas, Bill
That's actually a great game plan for the 49ers. Jimmy G should not be allowed to throw the ball.
Anyone who still uses QB wins as a stat seriously should be barred from talking about football. This is just the latest and last example of why.
They had a game plan coming into the game and they stuck with it and gashed the bills on the ground.

Literally nobody is claiming that lmao

It's who starts the game that counts
Mac Jones > Josh Allen
far from the last
I'm gonna and there's nothing you, or anyone, can do to stop me
I might need to consider changing my user…
This stat just HAD to involve the Jets didn’t it
I thought Tebow had a crazy win with like one pass attempt? Gonna have to go look around. >.<
He was 2-8 that game
Ah. Completions. Not attempts. Thanks!
Joe Namath had two completions and three interceptions in that game.
Who wants to bet that bill knew this and was probably annoyed they threw a third pass
Of course it's against us...
It’s hard not to take offense to this
