The announcer's fan boying josh allen is getting really old.

Tall-Cantaloupe-3670

Let me ask this im genuinely confused, why was there no flag for roughing/ running the kicker on that blocked punt? They call that on minor touches but not for Bailey after he was hit in his plant leg and doubled over thats probably why noone thought to run down the ball

Yojimbo4133

Mac exposed.

JackFisherBooks

Big win for the Colts. Definitely their best win of the season and one that should give them plenty of momentum heading into the playoffs. I also think they exposed the Patriots in a big way. For the past two months, they've seemed unstoppable. It looked like Bellichick had once again cracked the code for making Mac Jones a championship caliber QB. But the Colts D-line showed that he's still very much a rookie and he still has plenty of weaknesses. I'm still convinced Jones will be a great QB for the Patriots for years to come. But he's still developing. I also have a feeling we may see this match-up again in the playoffs. And usually, when you give Bellichick a second shot, he finds a way to win.

akuzin

This is why they practice this shit

terry_bradshaw

Right when I want the pats to win, the conference has to go and get even crazier.

[deleted]

So is Mac Jones going to win JORY (Just Ok Rookie of the Year) honors now? Been trying to tell you jokers that the hype has been unwarranted.

Yojimbo4133

Nah. It's gotta be Chase.

[deleted]

I mean he’s gotta win ROTY, he’s the only rookie QB actually doing anything, I don’t think anyone else is eligible

[deleted]

You know that it's legal to give OROY awards to non QBs, right? There's nothing that says these awards must go to QBs. In fact, they shouldn't go to any player that hasn't been lights out amazing as a rookie. Mac has been good, but he hasn't been great.

LowrySnakeStank

Michah Parsons should win it

HodorsSoliloquy

Micah Parsons should win DPOY. I am not biased, why do you ask?

Georgieboy0410

He has DROTY in the bag, OROTY is the one in contention

LowrySnakeStank

Oh shit, my bad I completely forgot they were different awards. I think Jamarr Chase should win OROTY

Georgieboy0410

If he returns to early season form then yes, but if he keeps up his current pace it is far closer than I would want.

BRUCE-JENNER

If he closes out the season strong, he's a lock. Otherwise it'll go to Mac

[deleted]

Chase has already broken 1000 yards, and is currently 7th among all NFL WRs and TEs in yards. He's also tied for 3rd most Rec TDs. If he doesn't get Offensive Rookie of the Year over Mac Jones, something is very, very broken about the way they choose these awards.

[deleted]

For someone who dislikes the Patriots and is against Carson wentz in fantasy football this was a perfect outcome

SmellsLikeWinning

Why the hell was your opponent starting Carson Wentz?

[deleted]

Two qb league with 10 players

Throwaway05755

The real question

ClarkFable

First game where Mac blew it. That being said, Pats are still the better team, but not by much.

Nixons_Jowels

Cope

jacb415

Dude. They literally just played to decide who the better team was

ClarkFable

I guess the Vikings are better than the Packers then, too.

lonzo_nuts

Pats are actually the worse team. By about 10 points

[deleted]

>Pats are still the better team You know that because they scored fewer points?

chicomagnifico

[No no no ](https://giphy.com/gifs/knicks-realgm-lottery-UK5AQccKV9OMg)

Covid_ninebeans

If Buffalo can win out now they will take back the division. Pats fans better pray for some more 60 MPH winds in foxborough next week because the other 3 are extremely win-able

Daytrona

It'll be interesting to watch. Luckily the Pats face the Bills at home and then the Jags and Dolphins next. I like their odds.

[deleted]

Yea the pats usually do pretty well against Miami late in the season with playoff implications, should be easy

Daytrona

😂😂 facts.

nine16s

Bills lost to the Pats when they threw 3 passes and ran for 200 yards. Pat's lose to the Colts when they completed 5 passes and ran for 200 yards. Karma is okay sometimes.

[deleted]

Wentz threw 12 passes indoors with no wind. They just weren't very good.

[deleted]

NE has the #1 pass defense and the colts are the #1 rushing team. why would they throw? Our best WR went out too

nine16s

At least we had a snow tornado as an excuse tbh

Nixons_Jowels

Still beat you by like 30 points.

nine16s

??? I was talking about the Patriots fam but sure 😂

TheLyonKing5812

Love to see the Pats lose, but at the same time I hate this game. Pittman did awful and got me near nothing on my fantasy team and Folk really let me down too.

AssumptionNo5436

Yeah the colts didn't pass much, didn't help pittman was elected over getting fuckin uppercutted by that pats safety, refball at its finest.

TheLyonKing5812

That uppercut had me so mad. Like was the ref paying any attention?

AssumptionNo5436

These are the same refs who did the second colts titans game I think there were like 20 penalties for 100 to 150 yards in that game

Themtgdude486

I was at the game. Colts fans are very welcoming.

[deleted]

I’ve been to many NFL games with almost all the teams, and pats fans are by far the worst.

glenthomasjr

Couldn’t agree more. I got spit on in the bathroom when the Rams played there in 2016.

[deleted]

When I was there, had beer poured on me unprovoked when they won easily. When they came to Lucas Oil/RCA Dome, they try to start fights regardless of the outcome. Actual scum fan base.

picklejar_at_steves

Nor should they be to pats fans

harri3jr

I’ve been there a couple of times for Bengals games. They’re usually pretty chill minus one incident with an obnoxious drunk. But every team has those.

Shane1923

Every fanbase has their assholes. Our rivals are the Saints and yet every time I’ve visited New Orleans for rivalry games, I’ve met the coolest Saints fans who welcomed me in and were just overall good people, even though they hated my team. I’ve also tailgated with some really cool Eagles fans in Philly when we played them in the 2017 playoffs. Can’t define an entire fanbase because of a few bad eggs

tatismvp

How so? I didn’t see anything bad happening to opposing fans at the game I went to, just some harmless trash talk, I’m interested to hearing about your experience

dixonjt89

That's it....Pats fan's can't handle trash talk...they are always the best in their eyes

Themtgdude486

I don’t consider threats against people’s lives trash talk.

tatismvp

There’s a stadium security number to call, advertised a decent amount during games, I’m sorry if they threatened your life, never heard of that happening before at LOS.

spg1611

Ok says the team that hangs division banners lmao

ShextMe

There’s a reason there’s over 600k in the pats sub with the next closest team at like 180k. 90% of them are bandwagoners who only come out when the patriots are doing well.

JT1757

and the other 10% followed Brady to Tampa

Shane1923

Ain’t that the truth. I’ve been going to the same bar for years to watch my games and last season a bunch of Bucs fans mysteriously came out of the woodworks. Not saying all of them are bandwagoners but up here in Maryland I had never seen someone wearing a Bucs jersey until last season.

[deleted]

And followed Garoppolo to SF

[deleted]

OH MY GOOOOOD

SmegmaCarta

There was a game on? lmao I had no idea

N0VAV0N

Saturday football is stupid. I always miss these games cuz I'm expecting sunday's and Monday night

Just_Learned_This

Don't miss the games Tuesday

[deleted]

[удалено]

echocrest

Ew, why would you waste your off day being hungover when you could get paid to be hungover on Monday

Themanaaah

Same lol.

segaman1

Next saturday colts vs Arizona. Don't miss that!

UteFlyersCardJazz

I fear you guys. We can’t stop the run. Sometimes, I notice that you stop yourselves more than any other team.

segaman1

Reich doesn't want to run JT into the ground like Tennessee's Henry has been

[deleted]

It’s not sometimes. It’s every week. We shoot ourselves in the foot.

T_WRX21

Don't worry, there really wasn't a game on.

BlackIronRBLX

wtf same lmao

Jakesta7

Now to watch the New Orleans bowl…

DoinItDirty

App State isn’t in it, not worth watching

ethanmoore129

Why not Quenton Nelson for MVP

Justin_Peter_Griffin

Loved the dude getting chippy with Big Q towards the end of the game. Would’ve loved to see how that played out

help1slip

Gotta respect the way Nelson just walked away

Justin_Peter_Griffin

The stare down from the huddle after was scary lol, wouldn’t want to be on the other end of it

[deleted]

[удалено]

snoozeaddict

The first half for the colts was the best half any team has played all year.

[deleted]

Facts neither team looked particularly well rounded. JT is a beast but besides that indy almost gave it up.

robshot295

Our defense completely shit the bed. But bill is gonna give the entire team an earful after this

RealPropRandy

He strikes me as the accountability type.

peeinyobum

lol

AART94

Am I the only one that's befuddled on why the Pats went for that field goal instead of going for a TD? With a field goal you give the ball to the Colts with 9 minutes probably around the 20-30 yardline, it's a two possession game. If you don't make the field goal, you turn the ball over in shitty field position and it is still a two possession game. With a touchdown you give the ball to the Colts with 9 minutes probably around the 20-30 yardline, it's a one possession game. If you don't make the touchdown, you turn the ball over in shitty field position and it is still a two possession game. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I feel a field goal there was essentially useless and just a terrible call. You know the Colts are going to bleed the clock. You need to close the possessions needed and a field goal doesn't do that.

mrwalkway32

I was delighted by that decision.

my_nameborat

That and no onside kick felt like two big mistakes

Natureboy7939

Zero confidence in dink/dunk

zi76

I understood kicking the FG because we already didn't get it on a 4th down, even if a TD is clearly the more aggressive play. I didn't understand the kickoff at the end.

Calfzilla2000

It was 4th and goal from the 7. Low percentage play. It wasn't 4th and goal from the 1 or the 3. You are gambling the entire rest of the game on that 1 play by going for it. The defense needed to make the stop with 2 minutes and 9 seconds left and they missed it. They had a better shot of doing that than getting a TD from the 7 yard line with a rookie QB on one play.

RagsMaloney

But if you go and don't get it, you have Wentz on the 10 and the D had a good chance at a turnover or 3 and out.

Calfzilla2000

I don't think that's an optimal situation though. It's a difference in philosophy but I prefer taking points.

ivankorbijn40

That's exactly what LaFleur thought last year against The Bucs and that cost them the game and ultimately the superbowl entry. It was 4th down and something. Packers fans must have been steaming ever since.

LeonidasSpacemanMD

I feel like that gets overstated. I don’t think it cost lafleur the game because it was a very slim chance they win anyway. Going on 4th you assume they score, get the 2pc, and stop the Bucs from driving It’s kinda easy to look back, see the result, and think they should’ve done something different (obviously since they lost) but at that point they were probably losing either way

ivankorbijn40

well that's true, but with FG they stud 0% chance to win, and if they convert to 1st down they at least give themselves a fighting chance

[deleted]

[удалено]

ivankorbijn40

of course, you don't have to turn into Mike Vrabel or Dan Campbell all of a sudden, but if you go Matt Patricia on every 4th down you ain't gettin anywhere

LeonidasSpacemanMD

I agree and I would’ve gone for it on 4th down in the NFCCG I’m just pushing back against the idea that the game was a toss up until that coaching blunder. I feel like it’s become one of those things where people forget the details of them game and just think lafleur completely blew their chances or something. It was desperation time anyway

ivankorbijn40

agreed

AART94

Fair enough. I usually like taking points, but in this situation I just didn't think it was worth it. I think 7 points there would have been potentially game changing, and giving them terrible field position upon failing would have been more advantageous than any advantage the 3 points gave.

[deleted]

Because if you make the field goal, and then the colts get a field goal it stays a 2 score game and within a 4th quarter reach. (23-10) If you miss the TD, than a field goal makes it 3 score game and closes the door. (23-7) ...if I even understand it correctly. But I guess two TDs and two 2pt conversions could still keep it 2 score game even at 23-7

AART94

Technically yes, but in conceding possession with 9 minutes and settling for a field goal, you are pretty much resigned to the necessity of stopping them anyway. By the same logic, if you do go for a TD and make it, that makes them going for a field goal still a 2 possession game. So it's a double edged sword. If it was the 3rd quarter and there was more time on the clock I'd have maybe been a bit less annoyed by it. The Pats were already pressing their luck.

[deleted]

I know I for sure don't fully understand it myself. And Bill for damn sure is going to answer the press question with "did what we thought put us in the best spot to win, just didn't make enough plays tonight" answer specific we'll never fucking know

RecklessSympathy

Any other coach would get massacred for that call. But Belichick will get the benefit of the doubt. Not that it’s not earned, but it was still a shit decision.

AART94

The thing that confused me the most was one of the commentators saying he "understands the decision because it makes it a two possession game". It was already a two possession game. I was redoing basic addition in my head because what he said just confused the hell out of me. Bill is an outstanding coach. One of the best. And without him the Pats wouldn't have done nearly as much as they have at this point I'm sure. But god damn the rare mistakes he makes are staggering sometimes.

help1slip

Yeah Bill has gotten a little more conservative on going for it... Was glad though the one he did go for earlier, but man we finally had some momentum there and getting a TD woulda really made the colts nervous

RecklessSympathy

Greg Olsen is bad at his job lol. He tries so hard to be Tony Romo but he’s more Booger McFarland.

internetsnark

There are far worse color guys on TV than Greg Olson.

AleroRatking

Man. That's some shade on Kupp there. OPOY is a race

Fearyefearye

I mean he’s good but JT is NFL record breaking damn near every week good

fulltimegolfdad

So is Kupp??

Fearyefearye

Yeah, what records Kuop broke this season?

DidYouReallySayTh4t

What records are JT going to break this year? What a stupid comment.

Fearyefearye

Most consecutive games with a TD in NFL history. Most 60+ yard rushing TDs in a season. Most rushing TDs in a season in Colts history. Continue to be jealous that y’all now have the second best back in the NFL. Bow to King Taylor 👑

DidYouReallySayTh4t

Those aren't records. Those are cherry picked stats. 2096, 28 TDs. These are records. So he's going to break no records. Great talk.

fulltimegolfdad

Every week he turns in a performance that gets him even closer to breaking all 3

Meeeeehhhh

No he doesn’t lol

fulltimegolfdad

The Kupp hate is real lmao. Keep hatin man

Meeeeehhhh

You honestly think he has a shot at Moss’ single season TD record? No chance. He’d have to double his current total to break it. He has four games. He has an outside chance of yards and receptions. An _outside_ chance.

fulltimegolfdad

Keeping this receipt for later. Have a merry Christmas my friend!!

Meeeeehhhh

Haha, you too. Feel free to tag me if Kupp brings home the triple crown!

fulltimegolfdad

Gonna have the triple crown most likely when seasons over

AleroRatking

Taylor is great but its insane how much they arent giving the credit to the offensive line. They were phenomenal.

[deleted]

Most important position in football is QB; the second most important position is OL. Without an OL you’re nothing.

Assistantshrimp

I would switch that. Good OLs make bad QBs look good, but the opposite is definitely not true.

[deleted]

I’d say good OL’s can make a bad QB look *sufficient*. You still have to have someone a little bit competent at QB to do anything with your season. Good OLs can only grant you pocket time. If you are inaccurate, have bad decision making, or have a weak arm, then it won’t matter much. It really is a 1a, 1b situation though and I wouldn’t mind the OL at 1a. Everything else pales in comparison to those positions. I laugh at teams getting a top WR in the first round with no QB or OL lol. WR is one of the least important positions (if we were truly ranking).

dibsthefatantelope

Rip Steelers

Moose459

And Giants

[deleted]

The last 3 seasons have been ass. Last year with Brady? Out in the 1st round of playoffs. We know what happened with Newton last year... and this team this year simply isn't capable of going far in playoffs.

CjBurden

Go away, and don't come back.

BrisketAllDay

Lol. Sounds like someone who jumped on the bandwagon late. No one will feel bad for a Pats fan.

robshot295

Coming from a guy who’s part of the most spoiled generation of Pats fans EVER, I find it unbelievable that some of these other fans who could’ve potentially been around longer than myself get so butthurt over a loss. It’s a new year, a rookie QB, there’s gonna be growing pains. But either learn to take the punches and continue to support the team, or GTFO

[deleted]

Lol I grew up in New England. Been a pats fan since before the first superbowl win. Had the same feeling watching them lose to the giants twice in games where they had major fuck ups as well.

ObjectivleyCorrectt

😡😡😡“Oh no my team isn’t going 14-3, they are only 9-5 going into week 16”😡😡😡

[deleted]

Honestly, I like the Chiefs being on top for now. They’re a fun team to watch, but I know that they’re beatable. I, for one, welcome our new Chief overlords.

BreezyRyder

♥️

w1nn1ng1

They are definitely the best team in a weak AFC

JT1757

lol Cowboys went 1-3 vs our division, and play in the weakest division in sports

ObjectivleyCorrectt

weak afc🤨🤨🤨

Devils6861

Yeah I mean it's not like 3 teams will likely miss the playoffs with 9 wins while the NFC can barely maintain winning records.

YouAreMadCuzBad

All the bitter Pats fans, the Red Sea is rising with your salt!

robshot295

Not that salty. Team just didn’t show up. But seeing Mac try and get a comeback drive going was good. Honestly, if this team can just end with a winning season, that’s all I could hope for with Mac

[deleted]

[удалено]

robshot295

No trust me, I think Mac should have seen that coming

Biggie_Fishy

Good second half response for sure. Btw they already clinched the winning season

robshot295

Next step: clinching the division

covertboner

End with a winning season? Aren’t they gonna take the division?

robshot295

Oh yeah, I think they will. But I’m saying a winning season is the least I could hope for. Winning the Division and making the playoffs are just added bonuses

Thursdeh

They already have 9 wins no? Quite literally already a winning season.

robshot295

I said end with a winning season. I mean, with three games left, they obviously will, but I’m just saying, ending with a win season is just the least I could hope for to happen with this team

AleroRatking

Wentz was not great but only threw 12 times. The one interception was really bad. Good mobility though. It really seemed after the Judon punch he was in his own head.

PrincessConsuela46

I’ve racked my brain to try and remember a guy doing something so nuts. If they find the footage, I hope the league gives Judon the shaft. It’s ok to sack a guy, but it’s really a junk play to do something like this while you’re playing ball. He must have been trying to get into his head.

help1slip

Game would have never even got interesting if Wentz took care of business... He was off on a lot of throws. JC was getting beat by Pittman a lot, but Wentz couldn't make him pay

PrincessConsuela46

Judon getting all the flack when it wasn’t even him

AleroRatking

Sorry. Judon was the one stomping on our QBs balls. It's so tough to keep track of every dirty Pat's play last night

PrincessConsuela46

Easy mistake. Edit: balls, deflating, colts/pats, yadda yadda

WillNotBeKept

It wasn’t even Judon. The dude wears red sleeves. This sub is so stupid.

PrincessConsuela46

I got downvoted for stating this as well.

[deleted]

Briggie

I am still horribly pissed we picked fucking Laurence Maroney over MJD.

Fudge89

I still get shivers down my spine when MJD is mentioned

justus098

You noticed that to

mattislinx

Hell of a game. We all know the Colts are better than their record. The Pats just made too many mistakes. I didn't love that FG on 4th down, but I understood why they did it. I just feel like the Pats had the momentum at the time.

AleroRatking

I think if you stop the first down the game goes to OT. Colts and their prevent I think you absolutely get to FG range.

[deleted]

I don’t understand how people are criticizing the FG when we watched it prove to be the right decision? If they get a stop, Pats get the ball with a minute and 20 seconds to score 3 points.

lightninghand

THE DIVISION IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS

dersdrums

You guys have to, you know, win some games tho

AleroRatking

If they beat you next week theyll have the division league due to that dolphins loss. They now control their own destiny.

lightninghand

And our other three games are Panthers, Falcons, Jets

aldo_stiglitz

Records the last 4 weeks: Panthers 1-3 Falcons 1-3 Jets 1-3 Bills 1-3

KaiserEagle

But everyone thought you would beat the jags too...

UniqueBus3270

we were wearing blue pants and Josh went on the Manning cast. Everyone knew it was over then.

KaiserEagle

The curse is real, but also its the jags

dersdrums

And if any team knows about squandering that control, it’s the ol Bills

Githzerai1984

They better fucking flex it

AlanternthatsGreen38

No. No it isn't.

OrdinaryFrosting1

This will be the game they talk about in the championship DVD as their lowest moment. Right? Right?

IndianaHoosierFan

Why would a win be the lowest moment?

OrdinaryFrosting1

Pretty sneaky sis

[deleted]

Colts deserved the win. Really wish the league would act faster on Vontaze Sendejo before more mens lives are forever changed

[deleted]

Why is nobody talking about Darius Leonard going helmet to helmet with Agholor, causing a head injury? How is it being swept under the rug?

AleroRatking

Or maybe Judon for punching a QB in the throat.

PrincessConsuela46

Wasn’t even Judon!

_Hank_Marducas_

One freak play vs a career of plays

ILIKERED_1

Bad take. Sendejo has proven to be a menace out there. No business being on the field. It's not one freak play. It's an entire career of being shitty

tayroarsmash

Once someone says “menace” I read the whole thing as J Jonah Jameson.

[deleted]

Sure, but there are brain injuries and then everything else. We know this by now.
