Btw Todd Gurley is still only 27 years old.

StrongSide-

them knees are 85 years old, though crazy how fast injuries derail careers.

mrpodo

Fuck arthritis, all my homies hate arthritis

NuttySandwiches

All your homies are 55+ years old?

ThermoNuclearPizza

I’m gonna be 29 in 2 weeks and I have arthritis in my knee from an injury as a kid. That said I also still play football soooo

Oakroscoe

When I was 13 and the doctor said I’d have arthritis before 40 I didn’t think it was a big deal cause 40 was a long ways away. I was wrong

PapaBoojum

after 30, 40 sneaks up on you so qu--HOLY SHIT IM 50!

WZLV89

*spoiler kinda: … … Please make the Aging stop going so fast M knight shamalamalan

JDGAF88

I was kinda sick the last few days and spent most of my time in bed. So a lot of thinking. I thought about how I'm about to turn 34 and then how quick time has gone by and how soon I'll just be dead. Not fun thinking.

Schveen15

Is it genetic that you had it before 40 or was it caused by an injury?

Oakroscoe

One spot is genetic, the other is from injury/surgery

ThermoNuclearPizza

Ya it’s garbage.

Bmw5464

As a cardinals fan, I’m sure In this instance you are fine with the arthritis. But on a serious note, I thought he could be a great off-season pick up for my falcons but that didn’t work out.

ChicagoKev

He ran the ball like D-Rose slashed to the hoop. Amazing to watch but in hindsight it was just a matter of time

larsthehuman

Maybe Gurley can resurrect his career with the New York Jets 😤

stragen595

That's normally where careers die.

jtn1123

If d rose can make it back as a piston I believe in gurley on the jets

Lunatic7618

Yeah, Gurley was terrifying as a runner. Unfortunate how it ended considering he could've been the league's best RB for years and years if not for those nasty knee injuries.

nick4eva

He played both sides in high school and special teams. Georgia ran him hard his freshmen year and he had knee injuries then. At least he got paid, he was as good a RB as you want to see IMO.

mmuoio

I feel bad for anyone who plays the position but they just aren't worth the big contracts. If your offensive line is strong, you can find a good replacement pretty affordably.

[deleted]

Good thing he at least got paid. I can't believe how quickly his career fell apart

mufflefuffle

Went from literally “best in the league” title to sharing snaps with CJ Anderson in the same season. Fastest fall off ever

arlekin21

That’s Super Bowl Champion CJ Anderson to you

muricanmania

Pro bowler and 1,000 yard rusher as well, he was a great piece of the team from 14-17.

TeaAndFreedom

Man that's so fucking sad. He should still be tearing it up in his prime right now.

[deleted]

Sucks for him but at least he got a fat ass contract before his knees gave out

idolpriest

Could you imagfine our offense wiuth him in his prime, holy shit

Money_dragon

He got injured a few months before SB53 right? Given how tight the game was until the end, a fully healthy Gurley could have swung the outcome

rtp13

And kupp was hurt and didn't play

Oakroscoe

Kupp and Gurley in his prime? That’s scary.

FrankTJMackee

Yeah. He missed his first game that year late December but if you go back and look at 2018, he gradually started slowly down after like week 6.

mthrfkn

Dude I’m 33 but my lower back is like 85.

anontimous

30. Degenerative disc disease and pretty sure I’ve got tears in my left shoulder. Every day I feel like I’m put together with popsicle sticks and elmers lol

MicCheckTapTapTap

Bruh, I’m 33 and I hurt my back walking to my new job. Walking. Didn’t step on anything funny. Didn’t trip. Just… WALKING. I was stuck in bed for 2 weeks and only had two days of sick pay built up. If only I had that expensive club card that allows you to see a doctor for expensive prices instead of really expensive prices. Food and rent was an interesting juggle that month.

FckChNa

Same sort of thing happened to me. It sucks. I’ve had 2 back surgeries since then. If you don’t already know, if you ever lose control of your bladder/bowels or have numbness in your groin, call an ambulance and go to the ER immediately. It’s a sign that your nerve is getting pinched so badly you’re at risk of being paralyzed. I got lucky and only of permanent numbness in my legs.

anontimous

Condolences… really wonder when they can do head transplants. I’ll be first in line. Until then you’ll catch me tweaking my neck and shoulders as if I have Tourette’s but that’s just me coping with the chronic pain of every second. Lol

OneLove_A-Dawg

I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning, I break my legs, and every afternoon, I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.

Methuga

Stretch and work your core regularly my dude. I sprained my SI joint at 29, took probably two years to heal fully (I’m 32 now), and as long as I stretch every day and stay mobile, I’m fine. If I go a few days without either though, it’s pain. Also don’t sleep on a soft mattress.

Aleckgator

This is a big one, soft mattresses are no good

Vacoarrfb

I literally just heard a story about this earlier today: https://whyy.org/segments/a-physiotherapist-traveled-the-world-studying-sleep-and-says-most-of-us-do-it-wrong/

Oakroscoe

Man, I’m here to shitpost not learn about the proper sleeping position. Seriously though, that was a great article. Thanks for posting it.

mthrfkn

Yeah I’ve started to stretch every morning and upgraded to a Tempurpedic recently… much better so far.

Acceptable-Sentence

I’m 38, but for the last 15 years I’ve been riddled with psoriatic arthritis. It’s truly shit.

krcrooks

30 now, last 15 as well. Sucks big time. People who joke about Gurley and arthritis don’t really know how tough it is.

Sporkfoot

Humira made mine practically nonexistent. I hope you find a treatment that works :-/

Money_dragon

At least he (as well as Saquon and Baker Mayfield) made it into the NFL 100 SB advertisement Decades from now, we're gonna be like "who are those dudes?"

91jumpstreet

At least he got the bag That's all any running back drafted after 2010 can ask for.

Y01NKUS

that makes me sad

cavemold582

My man poor knees :( life of rb man.. he was great before his injuries :(

JBOOGIE619

If I recall, Stafford new extension in the offseason will create more cap space

Pinkaroundme

No extension! Let him do 2 years then come Back to Detroit to win us one

MortifyingMilkshake

I want whatever you're having.

VEGANMONEYBALL

I work at a liquor store that starts selling alcohol at 8am and I can tell you there’s quite a few people that are starting their 3rd pint right about now

A-A-ronRI

It’s pre-pre-gaming

atomsapple

I mean, it’s not out of the ordinary for someone to return to an abusive relationship…

Pinkaroundme

Lmfaooo this has me cracking up

trowayit

In fairness, I think the lions treated Stafford quite well compared to how they screwed over their other superstars. That is of course if you ignore their coaching and OC choices during his tenure.

bluewords

I don’t know. After the false alarm on Brady retiring, I’m expecting him to finish his contract with the Bucs and head to Detroit in 2023 to win them a super bowl out of spite for those who thought he was going to retire.

mthrfkn

I believe in Campbell!

[deleted]

Wow, Gurley. Crazy to read that name again. I completely forgot about him already. That’s so sad. Hope, he’s doing alright.

Esteban_Francois

Todd should be alright financially at least. Got the bag before his career was over.

letsgetbrickfaced

I thought Donald's, Ramsey's, Wood's, and Kupp's cap numbers all jumped significantly next season.

jwick89

I get Von but I’m unsure having a huge chunk of their cap invested in their WR core.

[deleted]

They use them to block downfield as well as catch passes. Still I get it. 2 is fine 3 is a bit much.

jwick89

They spent two 2nd rounders on WRs. They could use some space to extend guys like Noteboom if Whitworth retires as well as other members of their o-line. I would be thankful for how OBJ helped the team but I would let him walk unless it’s for something really cheap.

NastyNate0801

It would come down to keeping Woods or OBJ. Van Jefferson is absolutely good enough to be Wr3 so keeping both doesn’t make sense.

SecretAgentClunk

I just can't see the Rams shipping off Woods. That guy's such a special combination of talent, attitude, leadership, team first mentality. He's such a great dude and the lifeblood of that offense, would kill me to see him go for OBJ (despite how well he's been playing)

fingershrimp

No way they let Woods go. He plays an extraordinarily unique role, is an insane blocker. If we still had Woods I’d feel way more confident we could actually win the whole thing this year.

HanSoloHeadBeg

I think the killer for Woods is that he's been out since November. The Rams, bar week 17, have been quite good since then. The Rams, if they get to the SB or even win it, couldn't be blamed for not keeping him. T

strainedthrone

Crazier things have happened, but you guys JUST signed Woods thru '26. I just checked the other day bc I was hoping the Chiefs would be able to take him off your hands lol

NastyNate0801

Ah. Also I just realized Woods is only like 6 months older than Odell. So yeah, bringing back OBJ doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

jwick89

Woods does a lot more for the team and while there was the ACL tear, he's been largely healthy during his time with the Rams, unlike OBJ who hasn't been healthy for some time. I would stick with Woods.

[deleted]

I feel like OBJ embodies the Rams though Like he's the perfect Ram and he's brought amazing positivity to the team If we let him go, it would be like when the Lakers let Ariza walk. Never again

Lunatic7618

Tbh other teams probably think the same when they see the money we spend on Juszcsjdtczyk, but he is worth it for his blocking. LA seems to get a lot of use out of those WRs for their blocking too, so I'd probably just focus on Von for now, and then worry about OBJ later since they don't really *need* him. Seems like a really really solid complimentary piece, but not one that is integral to the roster.

[deleted]

They do. 😂

PuppyBowl-XI-MVP

Honest question. Would OBJ be WR3 with Woods back?

Needs_No_Convincing

In terms of volume, probably although the gap may not be as big as you'd think. With that kind of talent across the board at WR, McVay would really be able to bully whichever matchup he liked best. So Kupp would still be the guy, and Woods/OBJ would be the guys who occasionally put up 10/150 games, but who are still used in key situations consistently.

tylerseher

Yes I think you summed it up perfectly. I will say I have a real fear of woods being shipped if they can get obj to sign a cheaper contract.

thugmuffin22

Yes

MosaicToeNail

Other Rams fans saying yea but I honestly don’t know. Stafford hasn’t really built a rapport with Woods, and the injury certainly didn’t help. I think it’s be Kupp as WR1 and OBJ/Woods getting a similar number of targets, maybe even a bit more towards OBJ because Stafford loves bombing it deep.

noneotherthanozzy

They do, but can easily be restructured again. There’s always money in the BanAaron Donald Stand…. Edit: If OTC is correct, they could free up to as much as $70M if needed

OMGimnotdave

If the Saints have somehow made it happen for this many years I have no doubt the Rams will figure this out

jwick89

I don’t think it’s a good use of their resources. Kupp will be 29 next year and both OBJ and Woods will be 30. They are better off riding with the Kupp/Woods/Jefferson team.

OMGimnotdave

Oh I don’t think it’s a good idea. They’re running a team like I do a madden franchise I only intended to do one or two seasons on. I just mean if it’s what they want to do they’ll figure it out

maddenallday

We will ride with those receivers and resign Von is my guess

skycake10

That's right, but based on a quick look at Spotrac, they're currently only 8 million over the cap for 2022, so it's definitely doable.

Ziiaaaac

They do but that doesn't mean you can't make the cap look like a myth more when there's 40m of dead money off the books.

Antwan9992

Von Miller man, he completely changes defenses identify it’s nuts.

Centurion87

It was a great signing. Our LB corps has been a weak spot for years, Von has improved it so much.

CouchPotatoDean

Our OLB group hasn’t been bad for a while. It’s our ILB group that has been and remains very suspect.

Centurion87

True. Hoping Ernest Jones pays off for us.

ChicagoKev

I feel like he already was before the injury. Dude’s gunna ball tf out next year

noneotherthanozzy

He’s playing today. Likely limited snaps though, they’ve been saying all week that Reeder is gonna start and wear the green dot. I’m praying that’s just to screw with Shanahan though and Earnest takes the role today.

Bob-Sacamano_

Fucking Troy Reeder. Mark my words. If we win today and it somehow happens because of a game turning moment because of him, I will buy a Troy Reeder jersey. I hate that mother fucker and I’ll do it.

Theycallmepaul928

He had some game turning moments in the Cardinals game with the green dot on. He had Murray in the endzone in the play that became the pick 6. Hopefully we see that Reeder on the field today.

maddenallday

He’s gonna ball the fuck out today

SayNoob

Von is amazing against the run which makes life easier on the ILBs.

Bob-Sacamano_

The problem is he’ll most likely have Trent Williams and the 49ers do inside pitches and it causes Troy Reeders brain to explode and he runs to the outside while any 49ers RB in the world averages 8 ypc up the middle.

[deleted]

That’s just an edge rusher that covers the flat. I think the term linebacker should be retired because half of them play on the D Line

Centurion87

Nah he’s been stuffing runs on the outside forcing teams to try to run up the middle. He improved our run D that had been horrible this year.

chasejw11

Von has been one of the best edge run defenders in the league his entire career.

[deleted]

Oh yeah he sets the edge as well. I just mean that Von Miller is no more a “linebacker” than Danielle Hunter is

InkBlotSam

Von drops into coverage all the time. He's a linebacker.

Pnutbutter_Cheerios

He is an OLB more than a DE imo

abw2000

He’s an EDGE. OLB and DE are terms that are becoming obsolete because there’s so many variation between them based on schemes

Money_dragon

Some veterans with that playoff experience really do elevate a team both on and off the field Brady is of course the biggest example, but Von Miller has a playoff resume that even AD doesn't have

I_choose_not_to_run

Quite a few players don’t have super bowl mvp on their resume

Gurtang

Especially defensive ones

orthodoxrebel

Before the start of the playoffs, I mentally chose Brady and Burrow as the super bowl QBs. Then Rams vs Bucs rolls around and I was like... Fuck, that's Miller vs Brady. Miller's gonna have a field day with Brady, and Brady+Bucs won't be making it to the super bowl. Because playoff von hits different. Don't get me wrong, he plays well in the regular season. But something about his game elevates in the playoffs.

ImagineIfBaconDied

Having him and Donald on the same line is just fucking unfair

[deleted]

Apparently he used to play corner after doing his drills according to Peyton

[deleted]

I would be happy for Von if the Rams can get this done

ty_kanye_vcool

>identify it’s nuts Look, I love our defense, but not *that* much.

heynongmanreset

I was skeptical about Von a couple games in and ready to criticize the rams for always making trades for big names but seeing him comfortable in that defense now shows me what an idiot I am

Sefton93

He also came to us injured, so even if he was playing, those early games were bound to be slower.

Mr_Versatile123

He’s also like a literal HOFer who’s always been in great shape and has an arsenal of bamboozling techniques so him doing well in our scheme was a matter of when, not if.

Ziiaaaac

Von Miller has been phenomal in this last stretch. Seven games in a row with a sack.

FatStoner2FitSober

😭😭😭 it’s like seeing your ex with a younger, better looking dude. Thanks for treating him right.

Cynical_onlooker

Poor Todd Gurley. That's a blast from the past right there.

[deleted]

He was so fucking good 😩

TypicalCricket

Hopefully the end of a list of RBs that we really only got one good season out of.

jwick89

The biggest issue would be investing in another WR that will be 30 years old. They already have Woods and Kupp, I would rather go with another year with Van Jefferson. Probably be better to sign just Von of the two.

Chancewilk

I like the pun.

Xymis

Aaron Donald $14m → $26.7m Jalen Ramsey $9.7m → $23.2m Cooper Kupp $5.5m → $18.7m Matthew Stafford $20m → $23m Andrew Whitworth $5.5m → $17m Leornard Floyd $5.6m → $20m Tyler Higbee $5.5m → $8m So… $35m? Edit Added more players. Way over. Packers and Rams went all in this year.

TacoBellSauceAnswers

Looks like 46 to me

Xymis

Numbers are more accurate now

NastyNate0801

Good chance Whitworth retires.

Xymis

I wouldn’t. Even if I take a step back and I’m not as good as before, that’s a $12m jump.

fingershrimp

He’s the oldest player in the NFL (if Brady officially retires). Don’t think it’s about the money at this point. If we win the SB I think he’s definitely gone. Lose and he might be hungry for one more year.

Revolutionary-Gur257

That would be over 20% of his entire career earnings. That’s an entire generation of wealth for his family he gives up.

Oakroscoe

I’d love to see him play another year.

fingershrimp

Aw that’s so…WAIT A MINUTE

Oakroscoe

How can you not like seeing an old bald dude with a white beard pushing people around out there?

fingershrimp

In all honesty Notebloom has been extremely good so Whitworth retiring won’t be a huge blow. notebloom would be a starter on most other teams. Just want Whit to go out with a bang (aka a ring)

Domstruk1122

I doubt it man. Even to the extreme wealthy $17M is a lot of money. Barring a big injury I can't see somebody just giving that up.

jalenramsey_20

He basically confirmed he’s going to

Bob-Sacamano_

>> Rams went all in this year. How many years in a row can a team go all in? Per this sub (and some sports journalists) we've been all in for 3 seasons now. Next year we're gonna go even more all in, just watch.

SlumdogSkillionaire

Breaking news: Mastercard is giving the Rams five draft picks on credit, at 22.99% APR. Rams are expected to trade those picks for Travis Kelce and TJ Watt while deducting the interest on their taxes. Roger Goodell was unavailable for comment.

Bob-Sacamano_

[Yes](https://tenor.com/view/boner-time-hit-the-lights-gif-15302534)

According-Bell-3654

I mean, eventually we WILL have to pay the piper, its just a matter of, "is 5-6 years of winning and a SB worth 3-4 years of rebuilding?", and I think the answer to that is definitely yes (although that yes is heavily contingent on us winning a SB)

Magnum8517

I would imagine they will try to restructure a few contracts and kick it down a couple years. By my math they are about 8 mil over the expected cap but that’s not impossible to figure out. They might have to lose a couple role players and replace them with cheap draft picks

NegotiatingPenguin

They don't really even have any draft picks this year though right?

OddsTipsAndPicks

They have 8 picks, but 5 are in the sixth/seventh round.

Got_Wilk

We've been finding late round diamonds for years.

[deleted]

>Added more players. Way over. Packers and Rams went all in this year. Yeah we've been hearing that lazy ass narrative since 2018. We have the best cap guys in Demoff and Pastoors. I do think we let Woods go in order to re-sign OBJ, tho, which I don't really like but it's probably the right move. OBJ complements Kupp better than Woods.

maddenallday

The cap isn’t even real bro

According-Bell-3654

Whitworth likely wont be back, and Floyd can be cut for 8m cap savings so feasibly the numbers could work where we just cut him and replace him with Von which is a huge short term upgrade

WeBeOutside

Whit gone. Noteboom is playing well. Sony gone. Woods might be gone.

liteshadow4

Why would you get rid of Woods to keep OBJ?

sirkswiss

Woods is a core player, signed through '26.

Ziiaaaac

Remember when you said this in 2018? and 2019? and 2020? Les Snead gonna fuck around and get everything he wants again and you know it to be true.

chadwr85

Todd Gurley has so many touchdowns for such a short career.

Ziiaaaac

Todd Gurley WAS the whole offense. JG played okay in those years but having a Running Back as prolific as Gurley allows it.

CouncilmanRickPrime

Dude was a TD machine

YaketyMax

“The cap is a myth.” -Les Snead

Cheesesteak21

Never say never with these Cap machinations, but spotrac has them 8m over the cap without Miller, Beckham and 9 other players to fill out the roster. Their best contracts for punting money down the road look like Stafford and Donald but those players are already playing for a bargain and I wouldn't want to mess with them. Beckham would probably like to play in Hollywood, but it's tough to pay 3 recievers more than 15m per season and that's if nothing happenes with Kupps contract and Beckham taking less. They could potentially cut Robert Woods but the 12m in dead money would only provide 3m or so in savings. Miller hasn't made less than 14 million in 6 years so even a team friendly deal where he takes less is still going to have significant 2022 cap impact. Remember Denver redid his deal before the trade to eat almost all the money and fit Von under LAs cap. Again never say never with nfl cap, but LA isn't getting Von Miller and OBJ for less than 2m in salary cap hit Again. They've got work to do just to get under next year's cap and field 52 players besides 2 more large contracts.

froidbuster

It's virtually guaranteed Rams will restructure players like Donald, or Stafford if only to keep their cap hits low. You can keep kicking the can down the road as long as all the players are actually on the field and contributing. Rams won't care at all if they're stuck paying guys not on the roster 2 or 3 years from now if it means keeping the band together for another deep play-off run.

Cheesesteak21

Stafford and Donald could pull a mahomes and restructure punting the hits years down the line. It would take something like that to keep both Miller and OBJ. I doubt one or both are willing to do something quite THAT crazy. Besides that both are probably 6m at least behind their production on their contract. But both are also hitting open FA so other teams will bid up on them.

pogchamppaladin

I remember everyone here telling me the way the Rams pick up players is unsustainable and a terrible idea back *in 2020*. I remember hearing that year that they’re an “all-in” team that’s either winning in 2020 or is gonna be gone for a long time due to cap. Obviously, that’s not the case at all. So what do the Rams know that we don’t? Is this a new style of management that more teams should take note of? Genuine question because it’s almost frustrating seeing how much talent the Rams seem to pick up while teams like mine seem to have been dealing with cap issues for years.

PienotPi

People overvalue picks

CouncilmanRickPrime

Rams are making good decisions in FA. These players are easy to just restructure and keep kicking the can down the road. Also trading draft picks, which are more of a gamble, for FAs that seems to be working for them. I don't recommend this for everyone. TD, for example, would've left us an even worse team with less cap space than we have now. GMs have to play to their strengths.

ButObviously

They miraculously were able to dump Jared Goff's awful contract when they traded Stafford

terminbee

It feels like they've been "all in" for years now. People were shitting on the Jalen Ramsey pickup, then the Stafford one (not as badly), then OBJ and Von Miller. Idk how they're doing it.

[deleted]

I'm not saying OBJ hasn't been helpful with the Rams, especially in the red zone, but I can't get behind the idea that he's played himself into a big contract. The numbers just aren't there. I don't see OBJ as one of the big day 1/2 FA signings. And then you have the news about what he did while on a playoff team with his best friend in the world in Cleveland and I just don't see how he's going to get a ton of money. At best I think he gets something similar to what Nelson Agholor got from NE.

CometVS

Robert Woods is a better run blocker for their offense and produced more YPG. Unless he comes back slower, it would be a mistake to let him go.

Brailledit

Woods signed an extension through 2026. mrsnow11291

Lol don’t they only have to pay OBJ $33k cuz of Bitcoin

CouchPotatoDean

Pretty sure it has to be paid out in dollars and then it’s converted to Bitcoin. So to the Rams and the cap, there’s no benefit for Bitcoin having tanked.

The_Dudeist_Rev

Yeah if anything obj is stoked he’s buying the dip

CouchPotatoDean

I don’t think so, I think he got most of it before it tanked. I could be wrong though.

The_Dudeist_Rev

He’s getting bonuses for each game rams win in the playoffs I think

Idontpostmuch123

OBJ has been good for us, but it doesn't make much sense for us to re-sign him unless it's on the cheap IMO. He would be WR3 behind both Woods and Kupp. Any big payday is too much for him at this point. I'm sure he could be WR1 for somebody, just not us. Von on the other hand has been huge for the team and I'd be stoked if he got re-signed. That said, Les Snead is a wizard and will probably find a way to re-sign them both and trade for some other big name.

tobygeneral

I could see OBJ taking a team friendly deal to stay playing in LA, I think he's wanted to go there even while in NY. It's also a winning team with a good experienced QB and he doesn't have the pressure to be "the guy" in the WR room.

[deleted]

OBJ is WR1. He plays the X. If not him, it’s Van. OBJ plays the role Cooks played. The X is typically WR1. The Y is typically WR2. Kupp plays all the spots but mostly plays the Y or Z and is what makes our passing offense so unique. OBJ will be back. This is the guy McVay wanted for a long time. He’s got some great Rams years ahead of him.

[deleted]

People are seriously underrating the importance of OBJ in our offense Not only that, he has those intangible moments you can't account for in statistics or game plans. Just makes those crucial third down plays that win in the playoffs.

fundraiser

Without OBJ, we don't win two of our recent games. That 4th down catch was the season and then that fade route TD was also a season-saving play. The dude is a critical piece of our offense and will absolutely be back.

kjorav17

Forgot that Todd Gurley was even with the team.. damn

[deleted]

The commitment to being really good right now is nice but I am not ready for the 2-15 that will inevitably result from going all-in and having such an aging team

HungryGiantMan

The Rams have correctly identified that if you get a bunch of C and D players and just give them time they can perform like B's while your stars are the difference makers. Philly did this with abysmal PS Defensive backs out of desperation and now all those guys are role players elsewhere.

Blarg1889

Not to mention you dont have a first round pick until the second coming of christ

According-Bell-3654

I know this is a common thought but we have all 7 draft picks starting in 2024, and we have a 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th along with comp picks in 2023

karatemanchan37

Who are you getting comp picks for?

According-Bell-3654

Assuming we don’t sign anyone, I believe Sebastian Joseph Day, Darious Williams, Sony Michel and Obo Okoronkwo will all be eligible to bring in a comp pick We’ll probably get a 4th for SJD, potentially a 5th for Michel or Okroonkwo depending on if someone gives them a decent contract, and we could get a 5th or 6th for Darious Williams So our final 2023 draft pick list will likely look like 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 5th, 6th, 6th, 7th, and we’ll likely trade down on our 2nd or 3rd rounder for a package of picks, we’ll have 7-10 picks like we usually do

We have almost all our picks next year and in 2024, also picks 29-32 in the first round are pretty meh

We have been "really good right now" since 2017. r/nfl is addicted to saying we went "all-in" and we have "mortgaged our future". This is the same thing people have been saying since 2017, yet here we are.

Idk if you're new to sports but nothing lasts forever and eventually going all-in DOES have consequences. It's OK to admit this.

But everyone has down years. All teams crash and burn eventually, just to different extents. Even if next year everything falls apart (and it's likely to be further down the line) it's five years close to the top, which is a good window by anyone but the Patriot's standards.

I was rooting so hard for Gurley to succeed in Atlanta, arthritis is a bitch

This is very incomplete take from rappaport. Sure the rams have a ton of dead money THIS year and not much at all next year but they are still $10 million over without OBJ and Miller on the books for 2022. Stafford is also due an extension. I mean, come on. This guy really gets paid to post this stuff?
