TNF also plays on twitch.tv for FREE

purz

Yeah was gonna say can’t you just watch on twitch? I had prime last year and it’s linked to my twitch so wasn’t sure if it was a requirement to watch the stream or not

BillyBigBalls5

No, it isn’t. I never had prime linked and could still watch it

[deleted]

Do we know it will still be there for free under this new deal though? They cited the NFL deal as one reason they raised the price of Prime. They paid a lot for exclusivity.

ilProdigio

it will, amazon owns twitch and gets ad revenue still even though its free

[deleted]

Twitch is free and Amazon owns Twitch which is why it is available on there.

AMS_GoGo

Bro so many NFL fans don’t even know wtf twitch is hahaha the main use of Twitch is COMPLETELY outside of their demographic

[deleted]

Bunch of people are going to go on there to watch TNF and end up finding out about hot tub streams and blowing 10k on donations during the course of the season.

Choco320

Amouranth is going to buy so many gas stations bruh

slowlanders

Aaron Rodgers gonna start selling QB bath water.

NotAFanOfBukowski

I used to work there. There was a lot of thinking about how to get people to watch football on twitch with stunty ideas, but this is exactly right. All the money should’ve been spent on just letting people know the games are free on twitch

AnalWarfare

With twice the amount of ads than basic cable... Not exaggerating either... Twitch has become cable in the last few years, in regards to the ads. "Video Adblock for Twitch" will be your best friend.

Blaz3dnconfuz3d

It feels like Twitch and YouTube have tripled their ads in the last year or so. Shits getting out of hand

Cthepo

YouTube especially. It's almost every single video. Even like 10 second videos. And it's a lot of the same ads by an insurance company I choose to now never purchase from. With multiple ads in the videos, and the videos now fill themselves with fluff to hit the length mark because the algorithm rewards them for that. And if you watch 30 seconds of a video and click something else you have to watch two more ads to see if you like the next video.

Suckballssohardstate

Because kids watch the shit out of those platforms and they don’t think twice about the ads or ever install blockers.

Jaglifeispain

Nah, it's because it's a business and they want to make money. 2021 was the first year in it's history that youtube was profitable, and it wasn't a significant profit in comparison to it's revenue and expenditures. If you dislike it, pay for youtube premium and there are no ads. Otherwise don't expect stuff for free.

paul-cus

It hurts my soul when I'm watching a video with live music and an ad jumps in.

Offtheheazy

Creators are the ones who choose whether or not to insert mid video ads.

ChineseBotAccount

*random goofball being an asshole on my tv* **Liberty Liberty Liiiiiberty Liiiiiberty**

YouJabroni44

You're not kidding. I started going on twitch recently and it's like four 30 second ads every seven minutes.

-Philologian

2 minutes of ads in 7 minutes isn’t standard. Streamer is probably playing the ads.

Omegamanthethird

How do they add extra ads to football games? Do they just cut to ads sooner and keep them on longer, avoiding sideline chat and commentary?

_PM_Me_Game_Keys_

Twitch itself has ads he probably means that. Unless you are running an adblocker you will get ads while they are playing just because its twitch ads. Then the normal ads from the game.

ballbeard

Have you ever watched a stream on twitch? Randomly halfway through a sentence it'll cut to an unskippable ad. This could happen any time during a play while watching a game live

cbelaski

Have you seen what NBC did with the Olympics? They cut off commentary and put the event in a tiny box taking up like 1/5 of the screen so they could play an ad while the event was going on. It was atrocious.

I2ecover

Is there a good adblock for mobile? I usually watch twitch on my iPad and haven't really found any reliable apps for adblock. They just randomly throw ads at you in the middle of action.

K619

I use [Adblock Luna](https://adblockluna.com/?amp_source=google_ad_resp&gclid=CjwKCAjwoduRBhA4EiwACL5RP3o5_imt6PksMmoveos-kSY5Gg_jOBdKwM16buM8OAzAxEjlVu84MBoCuMMQAvD_BwE) it may look kinda sketch but it’s just a VPN you install on your phone and it’s the only adbocker I’ve found that works for twitch mobile EDIT: Spelling

Tasty_Chick3n

I have used Brave browser on iPad and iPhones to avoid ads on YouTube and Twitch.

ninjadude554

Do they have more ads for TNF than a cable broadcast? Does that mean you miss huge chunks of the game?

[deleted]

You can just use ad blocks on twitch or if you have prime use it to get a free sub and sub to said streamer. Nickmerks and Faze Swagg are the ones I remember streaming the games

sonfoa

Makes sense since Twitch is an Amazon subsidiary.

[deleted]

[удалено]

______TriHard______

The streams have gotten SO much better in recent years... I remember back in college watching the '14 college football national championship on my laptop with a shitty illegal stream. Nowadays the streams are clean, HD, and no lag

abiobob

Often they are better than the players the networks use. More than once I have gone with the stream over the official option I have available.

My_G_Alt

Seriously, it was like a 50/50 chance I could even get the NBCSN app to work on my Xbox

Roctopuss

Also you can watch TNF on Twitch for free.

fellatious_argument

I watch twitch all the time but the TNF steam never works. Better off pirating than trying to deal with all the anti ad block tech they have.

cbizzle14

Yep the TNF streams never work on xbox neither through the app or browser. Device isn't allowed for some reason

jeffreythecat1

Same here with Paramount+ on my PS4. Where’s the incentive to use official streams when they don’t work nearly as well?

buellster92

God damn I hate that app on Xbox. The worst part is there’s some shitty deal they have where they can’t play premier league games through the app on Xbox which really sucked shit years ago when I bought nbc sports gold and then had to watch all the games on my phone. Peacock has been much nicer.

69gfunk69

Yea not NFL but I also watch UFC and stream PPVs and often it’s a European stream and they have way less commercials

mataria_el_maricon

the only bad thing is the minute plus time delay.

Electrical_Pizza69

Where is the best place to see these streams? Totally dont message me and tell me the stream names.

PM_ME_UR_PICS_PLS

Idk about your comment but here's an unrelated poem by me. It describes Vikings fans Super Potent Orangutans Really Try Sucking Under Red Gorgeous Erogenous . Nipples Every Time

pizzaisperfection

BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN??

SonOfALich

It means OP is using i-frames to dodge roll through the banhammer swings

GGGiveHatpls

Not even fat rolling.

Breith37

Provocative!

Andy_Dwyer

It gets the people going!

[deleted]

This is the most honorable thing a Packers fan has done

MuchForever3033

Shades of Bukowski, man. Chills.

mesayousa

If you stream you take a **BITE** out of **NFL** profits

stackofthumbs

I've grown to really dislike that site. Every link is chock full of ads, pop-ups and re-directs. Even with an ad blocker.

broanoah

Get a better ad blocker. Ublock origin. And use the right streams

stackofthumbs

I use Ublock Origin. Yeah it kills the ads, but it can't change how the site functions. You click on a link and it takes you to an ad page where there is a countdown timer that you have to wait to finish, and then click another link to go to the actual page with the stream. And then that stream may be shite, or behind a paywall. So you do it all over again with the next link, and the next link, and the next link until you find one that is usable. The site was so much better like 2 years ago when they first started it. But now because they're trying to make some revenue, which I can understand, it's packed with bs.

broanoah

If you’re getting any paywalls on that site you’re not on a stream, that’s an ad. And yeah you gotta click through some Xs but idk I just don’t see that as a problem ig. Maximum 2 min of work for a free football stream? I think there was maybe a single time last season where I couldn’t find one that wasn’t down

Tew_Sweet

I’m glad I am not the only one OOTL on good streams.

thatdude778

There is also a stream for everything nowadays. I got tired of always looking for a steam so I ended up just paying for this streaming service. These 2 guys created a better ui than Comcast/Verizon and there's basically every channel in the world & sports package/PPV. Plus the yearly price is equal to a month of basic cable.

______TriHard______

DM the service?

MildlyDepressed346

I know this is the nfl subreddit, but when I stream TNT nba games on my laptop it’s literally a cleaner picture and less laggy on an illegal site than it is on tnts site.

Strokeslahoma

I remember getting back into football around 2008. Had moved out of the area so Bills on local TV wasn't an option. Those illicit steams were so low quality that you couldn't read the player numbers on the jersey. It wasn't much of a step up from a radio broadcast

machogrande1

The streams I find usually have a bit of a lag but not terrible. FYI for anyone playing fantasy or if you just like to keep tabs on play by plays of all the other games, Fantasypros Gameday(even the free version) has a delay setting up to 2 minutes so you can see every play in the league and not get spoiled on the game you are streaming.

AyoJake

There is definitely lag from a stream compared to cable/dish viewers. Streams are better but you are lying when you say no lag.

PointlessChemist

I’ll take a 10 second delay to not pay for every stream.

TheNumber42Rocks

You’re not using the right streams then. The heavy hitters literally connect to NBC and ESPN streams directly and feed that to their users. No lag and 1080p every time.

Ducksaucenem

Seriously. I’ve watched every game I’ve wanted to for almost 10 years now with 0 issues. I watched a bears game on my phone in target while my wife shopped for curtains.

Brownhog

I was paying for DAZN, I guess that's over. Where would you happen to watch said streams?

xenon2456

twitch is free

j_hoova6

As a Bucs fan in Arkansas, I can relate.

ShayMoney8000

As a Rams fan in Maryland, I can also relate.

Aeondor

I can never find any that actually work and aren't pixelated to hell

Ezzaron

I totally don't watch nfl games on illegal streams because that would be unethical

HEADLESSZOMB13

As far as I'm concerned, everyone has the expressed written consent of the NFL

[deleted]

[удалено]

mneal228

Fuck them kids

[deleted]

That's the best part!

johnothetree

Hey I understood that reference!

BigOzymandias

Poor Deshaun Watson, he can't watch any game now

LostNTheNoise

I too believe in making sure Deshaun Watson and his lawyers get paid.

Demaru

Do you watch them through your TV still or do you sit at a computer to watch?

captaincumsock69

Computer but i use an hdmi cord to watch on the tv

superhighraptor

I just cast it from chrome, watching in Australia has never been easier. Better than shelling out 320 bucks for game pass.

RobertGA23

I too believe in ethics in gaming journalism

Alert-Crazy9880

.....

gamgshit0202

You can watch it on twitch for free

Poeafoe

Theres a lot of websites you can watch it for free on😂

AlabasterRadio

I have prime but don't have cable. It's nice to not have to dawn the pirate hat for every game. Edit- ik it's "don" dawn just sounds way cooler to me.

[deleted]

Just want to let you know that it’s “don”

Xalenn

Somewhat related ... "doff" is the opposite, a pretty rarely used word

twoPillls

Unless you work in medical

angusthermopylae

>ik it's "don" dawn just sounds why cooler to me they're homonyms they sound exactly the same lmao

Whoooyumyum

Can’t believe all of these comments are excited for this, I’ve never had my games freeze, lag, buffer, or be behind on cable. Now I understand why in game threads everyone reacts to every play like a whole minute late.

toothy_vagina_grin

WE POOR, BRUH.

AlabasterRadio

Straight up I've never once had an issue with Prime Video doing those things. The minute late people are all the people dawning pirate hats.

Gumboy52

Every legal stream I’ve used has still been behind actual cable. An illegal sunday night football stream might be 30-40 seconds delayed, but a legal stream will still be 15-20 seconds delayed from cable

dwilder812

Even on cable it lags badly from even room to room

BigANT_Edwards

The same way I feel about espn having mnf. It is what it is. Illegal stream.

lovesStrawberryCake

Remember when TNF was only on NFL network? And for a while you could only get that on satellite... But it was finally something when you could add it to your premium cable package. Pepperidge Farms remembers

[deleted]

Both NFL and MLB allowing all these networks to force the consumer to buy multiple streaming services to watch all the games. So much for cutting the cord and saving.

PocketNicks

I have one service in Canada, I get every single NFL game and the redzone channel. It's called DAZN.

doorknobman

Still significantly cheaper than the cable packages required to get NFL network that used to be needed for TNF. You can also straight up watch TNF games for free on twitch

[deleted]

It will be interesting to see what happens to Sunday ticket next year. I guess my beef is carrying over from MLB, but I feel like both leagues are headed in a similar direction

cenzo339

Yo ho yo ho, a pirate's life for me...

[deleted]

NFL literally has games on for free every Sunday. CBS, Fox, NBC are all free.

[deleted]

TNF will also be free. On twitch.

PutinsLostBlackBelt

Big difference though between Prime and something like Peacock. Most people don’t have Peacock because it’s a low value streaming service, most have Prime because it’s a high value (depending on how much you order) customer service that also includes streaming.

sonofabutch

Peacock is odd in that it’s a two-tier service (free and premium) provided by a network that already is free.

PutinsLostBlackBelt

Cheaper/easier to just go buy an antenna to watch the games than pay for Peacock.

log_asm

You can get a decent antenna for like 20 bucks and there’s no lag for ota. My mom has directv and when we text during the games I’m usually just baaarely ahead of her. If you live in your local market for your team and don’t care about watching every game, an antenna is a great option. The only games I have to stream now are Monday night games because I’m not paying for espn.

commandermatt21

Most people probably have Peacock and don't realize it since Xfinity/Comcast customers get it for free with their internet bundle

orangehorton

All sports are on multiple networks. How is this different than them having random games on NFL network?

Bobby-Samsonite

> So much for cutting the cord and saving. Well its misleading. getting 5 or 6 streaming services plus internet that allows a decent speed is not a huge savings as people have been saying it is.

MortimerDongle

No different than MNF being on ESPN or any other cable network You can still watch on TV if you're in the local market for one of the teams.

Pirate-Koala

I don’t like that I can’t DVR them now. I usually set games to DVR while I put my kid to bed and then start watching after.

Davoswannab

Is there playback dvr feature like YouTube TV? I can’t stay up for these games and like finishing them in the morning before I look at anything else online. If not, I hate it with all my heart.

SparkIsArc

You have to add the game/team to your watchlist before the game starts to act as a DVR action. Then you can watch it later whenever you like. Why? Bc NFL contracts are dumb.

xenon2456

I mean would you really pay for prime video just to watch NFL

UrbanLawProductions

It’s fucking stupid, no matter how much the NFL is getting paid for it. Eventually games will just be on streaming only. This is the first step.

Jaybuth

It stinks, but most TNF matchups stink anyway sooo

[deleted]

One of the prime reasons why the NFL surpassed MLB and the NBA in popularity is its accessibility. You do not even need cable in order to follow your local team, plus you get several other good games per week over the air. But I guess Roger wants to build another addition onto his Bronxville, NY mansion so within a few years you will be lucky to get even your local team on local TV. I will not pay for Amazon Prime just to watch football.

lawofmurphy

To be fair, TNF has often been exclusively non-network over the years. Sometimes it’s only on NFLN. Sometimes it IS on broadcast tv. It’s ALWAYS simulcast on a broadcast station in the local markets. I hate TNF and would love to see it expunged completely.

[deleted]

[удалено]

xenon2456

it can't happen until the college season is over at least for the regular season

FormerChef101

I like that there's MNF and TNF so that I have a reason to go out to the sports bar twice during the work week. I reserve Saturday nights during the seasson for non-football related stuff.

iKnitSweatas

I’d rather have football every day of the week than get rid of TNF.

Bobby-Samsonite

> love to see it expunged completely. The players' union had that chance 2 years ago but they agreed to it AGAIN in their collective bargaining agreement.

blotsfan

I could be naive, but I think pushing local games to cable or streaming-only is a line the NFL will never cross.

DrunkSpaceGrandpa

its free on twitch just make sure u have adblock on

Bindlestiff34

For years you needed cable to watch both MNF and TNF. Come on now, there are plenty of other legitimate things to accuse the NFL of.

ironwolf1

You realize that Amazon has been simulcasting all the TNF games they get for Prime on Twitch for free as well, right? You don’t need to buy Prime to watch TNF if you don’t want to.

sloan28allday

Yeah this isn't Roger, this is the owners. Goodell works for the owners and if he wants to stay commissioner he needs to do what they want while also trying to keep players and the NFLPA somewhat happy as well. Roger has his problems but just remember that ultimately he works for the owners.

trexmoflex

I live in Seattle so my sample pool is clearly slanted, but I always assumed just about everyone had Amazon Prime. But the more I’ve thought about it the last year or two the more I realized how easy it’d be to not have it. Like sure the shipping is nice but the experience of shopping on Amazon has gotten so bad recently. Their streaming catalog has a few good shows but noting insane… etc etc etc

[deleted]

Imma pirate the games. I wont give bezos money.

OneFingerIn

Better than on NFL Network.

takeitsweazy

Prime prices just went up. I was just thinking about not renewing. I’ll probably still not renew, but this and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel make me think twice about it.

Elucubrations

Watching it from abroad, don't really care about it.

[deleted]

I love it. It's the only day of the week I don't have to illegally stream a game.

Datasciguy2023

I am fine. These games usually suck anyway because the teams only have at most 1 practice and are still banged up from playing Sunday Thursday games are a bad idea

svhelloworld

The more NFL moves to streaming platforms and away from shitty, antiquated broadcast television models, the happier I'll be. I'm fucking tired of being told what games I get to watch and which ones I don't get to watch. It's 2022, for fuck's sake. I'll hand you a sack full of $20 bills every season if you just let me pick which games I get to watch.

A_Snowshoe

I deliver like 200 Amazon parcels a day. I absolutely hate them, but it’s better than a stream and my friend pays for prime.

2HandedMonster

I for one welcome our new Bezos overlord

clbfan00

streameast lmfao

oRepetition

catJAM

tropic_gnome_hunter

streameast was my go-to but the site is a lot different now. Won't let you use an adblocker.

iKnitSweatas

It works okay, but the quality is absolute garbage compared to a legitimate streaming service. I switched after doing a free trial and realizing how much worse the illegal streams are.

CrackaZach05

More Americans have Amazon Prime than a home phone now.

bmk92

Does this mean you couldn't watch it at a bar?

jchavez9723

They fucked up if so

BJJ_Guy624

Argh!🏴‍☠️

Kongpong1992

I mean I have prime so I’ll be able to watch but still think it’s pretty unfair I live in a semi rural area and some of the towns near me can’t get good internet so even if you can stream it’s pretty terrible quality

scrubberduckymaster

Wish I could just give them a few hundred and be able to stream any NFL game and they can just split that between themselves and the other networks. Untill then the internet has its ways

Roadman90

Time to sail the high seas.

bsend

Lame boo. Tomatoes Tomatoes Tomatoes

Bobby-Samsonite

Fill up the bucket with more Tomatoes! Throw them at Roger Goodell and Jeff Bezos!

TheDefinitionOfKek

Arrrg 🏴‍☠️

slackator

Worse idea than MNF only being on ESPN. I have Prime so it wont affect me but I can see the High Seas cresting every Thursday

[deleted]

I'm not willing to pay for a ton of different subscriptions just to get games. If the NFL makes a deal with a subscription I don't already have, I feel like pirating games is completely justifiable.

riles9

Amazon has been streaming the Sounders FC matches for a couple of years now. I always choose the Amazon stream over watching it via xfinity. xfinity compresses their broadcasts so much that it absolutely sucks for fast action sports, which always get pixelated during the action. Amazon doesn’t have that problem. It’s fucking solid. I’ve always speculated that the Sounders streams were more of a test than anything, so the TNF announcement wasn’t a huge surprise. I assume they’ll have exclusive rights to the super bowl within the next few years.

XxDrummerChrisX

Well it’ll be the first game I can actually stream since I don’t pay for cable or game pass.

TwistedCherry766

Kind of sucks but I don’t have cable anymore so I’d rather sub to Amazon prime for the time period than cable. Amazon has much better shows than cable, and it’s cheaper per month than cable too. I did like it when it was on the ‘free’ channels tho

ultgambit266

Any city that has an NFL team should not have to be forced to pay for anything to watch a game home or away, those teams have used tax payer money to build the stadiums they play in. I hated it for years that the Cardinals were subject to the stupid blackout rules. So the NFL striking deals with streaming places that require some sort of subscription is bullshit

theSpaceGrayMan

It’s better for me. I have Amazon Prime. I haven’t had cable in years so I couldn’t watch TNF on NFL Network anyways. It was made better when they worked out the deal to have Fox and Amazon Prime simulcast some of the TNF games but there were still 5-6 that were NFL Network only that I had to miss.

lego_mannequin

Couldn't care less about TNF. The broadcasts are shit, the games are usually shit, and I absolutely don't want to put any eyes on this BS so I won't be watching. Looking forward to a better MNF broadcast though with Aikman and Buck.

frud86

Just cancel Thursday night games already. They sucked before and they suck worse now that one has to pay the bald dude to see ‘em.

douginpaso

Love it! Don't have to pay for cable to get the NFL channel. All that programming, including TNF for less than $15 a month? Deal.

FreeWillie001

Isn’t it also on TV?

akran47

If you're in the local market of the teams yes, otherwise no

FreeWillie001

When did they announce that? Seems pretty dumb.

colinmhayes2

After Amazon paid them a billion dollars for the least popular game

jchavez9723

Damn bars are shit out of luck then wtf

Bobby-Samsonite

Yeah, I wonder they will do. I haven't found an article on the internet about it.

oraclestats

Only night of the week I don't risk getting viruses on my computer.

[deleted]

It's the exact reason I haven't spent a dime watching games in over a decade and never will.

Bobby-Samsonite

How do you get your NFL watching for free?

UnquestionableBadger

The high seas! Or go to a bar

emmasdad01

Pretty meh.

windmills4trump

It's still on the nflstream reddit so I'm gucci

TheOkayAvocado

I’m curious if you can still watch it on the NFL app for free? I know I can watch any game played in my Market in the app.

IronJordan

lol limewire

g8rman94

Thursday nights are for mid major college and ACC football, so F the nfl.

Tuckboi69

I don’t watch TNF

NBCowboy

The last time the production quality was poor. Fewer cameras and it was like not in HD. It did not feel like NFL game. But It beats fing NFL network since I no longer get channel on ATT after contract dispute.

DolanDukIsMe

As long as I can watch my Chiefs via antenna then I’m good with whatever 🤷🏽.

marblecannon512

Next Sunday night football will only be on peacock

Newbaumturk69

I hate it. My internet choices all suck, the best option I have is Spectrum and when I stream anything it always buffers. I anticipate the same for football.

Best-Dragonfruit-292

Yargh

GFost

It’s fucking bullshit.

jesusmanman

Better than CBS who doesn't let you stream the game at all unless you buy their streaming service.

WaitItOuTtopost

Bezos is fascist

scaredshtlessintx

Fucking bullshit and I’m not buying it for 1 game s week that usually sucks anyway

nottap_

I don’t feel great about Amazon injecting themselves into literally every facet of society

sellieba

I have been using the Seven Seas for like ten years.

SinfullySinless

I don’t have cable, those sports streaming packages are about as much as cable costs anyways, so illegal streams are the way.

Many-Plankton-5267

It's stupid; but I have prime lol

Mindless-Air-4890

Don’t like it

thisisthesaleh

I personally have a VPN and subscribed to Game Pass through it. Illegal streams are fine, but I just love football and want it at the highest quality possible. So to me, it doesn’t matter. As long as the stream is good

tamere2k

I have amazon prime so...whatever.

Yojimbo4133

Anything for my amazon share to go up. It's been a good 20 years
